Attendance
Zoe had spent the past.. however long speaking to important military and political figures at the party. Although she enjoyed showing off her naval finesse she quickly found herself becoming rather bored, she needed more excitement. Unfortunately she didn't have the opportunity to converse with the family who made this event possible and there was no way that she could start drinking more in front of those attending the party, it wasn't expected and wouldn't be appropriate.

After finishing her conversations up and bidding them farewell, she headed towards the exit and prepared to exit the flotilla and to join the city festivities in hopes of entertaining herself further. Obviously she couldn't stay in military uniform whilst partying so she planned to head back up to her ship promptly and rejoin the party. So she waited for the next transport to arrive...

By the Force she should not have come here. The teenage girl felt fully out of her element and longed for the snug, and comforting embrace of her armor. However, she was a child of two names, and while the one she wore now caused her no end of grief, she admitted she took pride in being a good daughter when it was called for. There was a time to stand up for yourself, and a time to just do what you had to do. That was all there was to it. She fidgeted with her dress for a moment, trying to smooth it out. It had taken the girl hours to decide on what to wear. It was a complicated process after all.

She took a deep breath, and slowly let it out, after she pushed off from the wall, and weaved between the guests. Her small size helped tremendously with this endeavour, and an endeavour it was. Didn't people have the decency to leave aisles clear to get from one place to another? Of course not. The dark haired girl, finally made it to her destination. She had to pay proper respects.

Her eyes looked over everyone. All the other women were dressed in such fancy, and revealing outfits. She felt a bit under dressed, but whatever, it was to late for regrets. She walked up to Adron Malvern. This was one of her father's most trusted, and as such, was familiar with him. Honestly, until recently she hadn't been sticking her nose into all of these things, however, she knew of him, and had seen him time to time, talked for brief moments before as well.

The teenager waited with all the patience and grace she could muster, which was a surprising amount coming from a teenager at all. Finally, when Adron wasn't busy, or distracted with another guest, she came over to him, and curtsied deeply in respect. “Exarch, thank you so much for all you have done for us. The party is wonderful, and beautiful. I probably shouldn't take up to much of your time.” Her melodic, well enunciated voice, carried none of the twang her mother's had. Her instructors hadn't wanted that. She proceeded to give Adron a brilliant smile, and dip of respect with her head. Inside, she knew she had done what she had needed to do, but now what? She would stay and let him dismiss her when he was ready, yes, that was the best course. Force, she wanted to get off this barge already. She couldn't trust the food, and she looked all froofy!

    Ropagi II

We do what we must. Those were the words of the ancient and ambitious House Malvern, once sovereigns of Serenno, now sovereigns of Nelvaan and Ropagi II. Bruised and bloodied by their enemies, the scions of the House of Wolves did indeed what they had to. Through coin and cunning, honeyed word and the cold steel of the sword, they clawed their way back from obscurity and insinuated themselves into positions of power within the Confederacy. The galaxy had dealt them a rough hand and they played it expertly, ascending within the span of only a few years to become one of the most powerful Sith houses in the Galaxy.

Where Adron was the political power of the House, his elder brother Kainan, better known as Darth Tacitus, Lord of Silence, Reaper of Lorrd and Eternal Emperor of Nelvaan, was the armed-to-the-teeth iron fist. That was not to say that Tacitus was less capable talented at plying the subtle arts of politics and manipulation, rather he had simply chosen military power as the first thing the Galaxy saw when looking up his name.

The truth was that few people, if any, knew the true extent of the enigmatic warlord of the House of Wolves' reach, as his exploits have repeatedly shown glimpses into a vast and hidden network of resources, information and agents spread all across the galaxy. Unlike the more hedonistic and impulsive majority of Sith, Tacitus was a disciplined and calculated individual more akin to the hidden Dark Lords of the bygone age of Bane's Rule of Two, or perhaps the ancient times of Darth Traya, Revan and Valkorion. Everything step he took was a carefully calculated decision, every move a part of some hidden plan who's purpose only he knew.

His late arrival to the banquet was no different, the timing perfectly chosen for maximum effect. This time, he had chosen to make an entry that perfectly displayed his considerable military power. Dozens of shuttles descended upon the palace, escorted by wings of sleek fighters, all arrayed in a perfect formation which showcased the skills of his troops. An honor guard of a thousand Ultranauts unloaded themselves from the shuttles, arraying themselves in two perfectly still columns from a still-empty landing pad, to the entrance into the complex.

A final, silver shuttle descended from the clouds, twelve T-77 stealth fighters formed up on either side as it gently came to rest upon its designated landing pad, breaking away towards the clouds as their charge touched the ground. The ramp slid open to reveal twenty Wolfguards, the Eternal Emperor's dreaded elite commandos, who's discipline and prowess were well known throughout the galaxy. The two squads marched out in eerie silence, forming two rows to either side of the shuttle's ramp. Inbetween the two ordered rows of elite guards, walked their Emperor, hand resting idly on the hilt of his Sith Sword, fur-lined cloak swaying gently in the breeze, crisp military uniform worn underneath, adorned solely with the paraphernalia of rank.

He had not come to enjoy himself, as the enigmatic warlord rarely chose to partake in what he considered frivolous activities such as entertainment and socialization. Instead, he had chosen this banquet as an opportunity to invite Fiolette and Taeli Raaf to the estate, in order to continue the discussion they had started on Bothawui. In the Eternal Emperor's eyes, everything presented an opportunity for business, or a means to increase his power, a necessary tool in the greater scheme of his lofty ambitions. And when negotiating with such important guests, especially considering that one of them was a fellow Sith who's accomplishments were well-known throughout the galaxy, one showed power, hence the military procession. Important people did not waste their time with individuals that were weak, destitute, or without influence.

Kay-Larr

Sphaera Tea Company Owner
[member="Veiere Arenais"] wasn't the only one that held some anxiety for being here. Kay shared that as well. This was her first outing of a political nature since their planet's liberation. During the occupation she had gone out to a ball amongst her ememies and that brought much anxiety as well.

At least she wasn't alone this time. And should it get too uncomfortable, at least they had the luxury of being able to leave. Still, she had to put her best food forward and try to think positive.

Kay too caught the many stares and whispers among people when they walked by. Yet she just merely smiled and bowed her head. This was just a party, right? No deals to make or agreements to sign. Just socializing.

Her attention turned to [member="Amilthi Camlenn"] as the woman approached. She bowed her head at the greeting, although it seemed as though the lady was more inclined to speak with her husband than her if titles given were any indication. So she remained silent.

And already she was hoping that there was some tea....

Return to the Ship
After waiting for a few minutes a shuttle finally arrived to take Zoe back to her flagship. As she left she caught a glimpse of @Darth Tacitcus ' ,rather fashionable, late arrival. However she needed to get on the ground and have a proper party, just as she did when on her homeplanet.

Once she arrived back on her ship she had to get out of her military uniform, it wouldn't be appropriate for her to party in it. After searching through her closet she decided on her trusty suit, blasterproof but fashionable.. and modularised perfectly fit her revolver and a knife, which of course she had to take with her for safety reasons, after all no planet is perfect...

The Party!
After informing her crew that they could start enjoying the festivities she started making her way down to the planets party capital, Kaloder, which was on the other side of the planet. So with excitement she set off to join the festivities, get drunk and meet some new and interesting people...

Brayden's large frame nestled comfortably against Faye's once more as he finished shaking the hands of Adron and Alessandra. The Minister's immediate launch into questions caused the Prince to quirk a single brow as a faint smile played on his lips. Direct. In all honesty, Brayden appreciated those that were direct in their social discourse. He scarcely saw the need to utilize ten words or excessive imagery on someone that needed a mere three words to understand a point.

As soon as he had the thought, Brayden had to stifle a laugh. His interactions with Faye tended to be the exact opposite, but that was because the woman wrapped in his left arm was worth every element of imagery or loquacious wording possible. It perfectly diagrammed the rather impossible task of describing his love for her or her complete irresistible nature. Raising his right hand slightly in defense of Alessandra's immediate question to the rest of the Malverns, Brayden allowed his smile to melt into an easy, neutral expression. "It's not a problem. I am from the Unknown Regions, and I rather doubt you've heard the name of the planet. The rest of the story is rather droll and rather unoriginal these days. Tales of sweeping Empires of old administered by long dead ancestors. Now, my family is responsible for a mere fraction of that storied glory."

Shifting his gaze to Faye, Brayden's smile easily widened. "Faye seemed to enjoy herself there, however. As for how we met, it was during my first visit to Geonosis, in a club that we quickly abandoned for the serenity of the outdoors." There was a brief pause in the Sith Lord's prose as he briefly considered Adron's last question. "I--" Brayden's response was cut short by two very distinct events. The first was a...child? Why was a child even unattended at a gathering such as this? Remaining perfectly still, the Sith Lord shifted his silver-green gaze briefly in the direction of Faye. Though he said nothing, his expression and thoughts, to which she was very well attuned now, asked the simple question. Do you know this girl?

No sooner had the thoughts drifted through his mind than the raucous sound of sublight engines ripped overhead and lingered as [member="Darth Tacitus"] made quite the entrance. There was no way anybody could have possibly missed well...any of it. The man descended to the planet like a conquering hero. But...Brayden was pretty sure he remembered hearing that Faye's family had paid for this world. In this particular instance, it seemed to be a touch too far to Brayden's mind. However, massive military processionals were not a thing on Endelaan. Victory was marked only by a party, and it was rarely a glitzy affair. It was more...well...undoubtedly more like the party happening on the other side of the planet.

This reality indicated the different worlds from which Faye and himself hailed. However, they would both have to be comfortable and capable of walking in each other's worlds from time to time now. It was not a reality that Brayden minded so long as she was by his side. Clenching his teeth together, Brayden resisted the urge to laugh at the dramatic arrival. Though the man's presence was unfamiliar to Brayden, it was far too close to Faye's for Brayden's intimate knowledge of her own presence not to give a very good hint. It must have been her other brother. Obviously the party planning gene is in your family, not mine.

Silver-green eyes held Naedira's form once more as she stepped past him with her hands on her hips. Slowing his own pace, the Sith Lord didn't so much stare as...simply marvel. After all, Aiden could acknowledge beauty everywhere that it existed. However, beauty was only so much to him. He enjoyed the sins of the flesh as much as any man, more perhaps, but continued exposure to any one individual required more than just lust. Obviously, Naedira presently fit the bill of being intriguing enough to request her company outside of a combat environment.

"I can think of better ways to spend our time, Nae."

As Naedira angled towards a nearby vendor, Aiden sensed a familiar presence lingering nearby. Given the proximity to his present location, it felt much stronger than that of his nephew half the world away. The similarities could not be mistaken, and as Aiden expanded his own presence, he could tell that it belonged to someone very close on the family tree to Brayden Antares. For a brief moment, Aiden's bright gaze shifted from Naedira. It did not have to go very far before it fell upon the form of Madalena.

Given recent conversations with his kin, Aiden knew all about Madalena. More importantly, he knew all about who she was not. For the moment, he redirected his gaze back to Naedira. Slowly, a mischievous expression appeared on his lips. Without taking his eyes of the smaller woman, Aiden leaned up against the bar of the vendor stall and ordered the drinks. "Two double shots of your best whiskey. Traditional," Aiden stated plainly as he gazed at Naedira with no small amount of desire. His memory of that first night on Hypori had not faded with the times. It helped they both had near identical taste in libations.

In the back of his mind, Aiden made a note to approach his not-niece. He was distinctly aware of the information that Brayden had recently acquired, and the plans he intended to put into motion after this very event.

Damsy was very intent on slowly walking down the street and perusing the storefronts, all decked out in strings of bright lights and stocking all sorts of shiny trinkets. Lively music and a cacophony of smells swirled around the Sithspawn, but she found herself enjoying the overwhelming stimulation. Children ran past her, apparently playing some seasonal type of game, forcing Damsy to hug the left stores as she didn't dare to cross to way with so much energetic activity buzzing about. Virtually everything about this place on this night was moving faster than her, but she didn't mind at all.

Naroh Se had expected the western capital of Rospagii II to be as turbulent as it was. Thus, she had advised--just short of begging--Damsy to attend the eastern hemisphere's celebration instead, but Damsy had, evidently, refused. If she was to be a Dauntless Commando, she had to get used to showing her face on CIS planets other than Kamino. Plus, she didn't belong among the Confederacy's nobles and their cross-factional allies, even if she assumed that her father would be there.

Actually, especially if. She knew he wasn't ashamed of her anymore, but Damsy didn't know about his friends.

And so the Kaminoan had reluctantly seen Damsy off. Even though the Sithspawn couldn't outrun Naroh Se by a long shot, her stubbornness far made up for the physical limitation. With the few credits that her friends had given her to spend, Damsy had bought a small fish meat pie from a food truck down the way. As she munched on it, her eye caught onto the likeness of her sitting on a shelf behind a toy shop's glass pane.

"It's a lovely doll, isn't it, miss?" someone asked behind her.

"It is," Damsy replied as she turned to face a large Ropagu man, bracing herself for disgust at either her scaly patches or her scratchy voice, but only a warm smile came. It was such a surprise that Damsy found she was not prepared for such a friendly interaction...

Alora always seemed to find herself at bars. She didn't mind though, drinking seemed to be entirely common place in the Confederacy. [member=Darth Metus] had been kind enough to explain the reason behind the party and who was giving it but she hadn't really paid the latter part any mind. She had never met an Adron Malvern, or any of his family for that matter. Though she did like the idea of a planet wide party to celebrate their reunion. The entire idea had made her miss her home and her family, sorely. Alora shook the thought from her head and plastered on her best smile. She had been practicing the expression vigorously for the past few months and, instead of sitting awkwardly on her pale face, it now seemed to make it glow. Dresses were becoming rather familiar as well, though she couldn't go so far as to say she enjoyed them.

One sweeping motion of her hand shifted the silky material of her dress out of the way so she could settle on a bar stool. A single message had been left for a close friend to meet her here, at this exact spot at this exact time. Looking around she hoped he wouldn't be too long, she knew absolutely nobody here. It seemed strange that no matter how many of these things she attended she rarely bumped into the same people twice. She was fortunate enough to be rather fond of the one person she did seem to bump into a lot, the one person she had left the message for. With a wave in the direction of the bartender she ordered a whole bottle of Corellian brandy and two tumblers to go along with it. The drink was a favorite of the pair, ever since their first proper conversation on Manda. Alora recalled how bitter it had tasted to begin with, now it was practically the only thing she ordered.

Once the bottle and the glasses had been set on top of the polished bar there was little left to do but wait. She poured herself an extremely large glass, spun on the bar chair and placed one leg over the other. Watching people at these gatherings had always been a favorite pastime. Alcohol let their inhibitions slip, they were often more free with themselves. It made for excellent viewing and, at the same time, dumped her in the deep end of the confusing world of expressions and emotion.

"Master Arenais. Your Majesty"

Veiere's attention had been somewhat caught off guard by [member="Amilthi Camlenn"], she of whom seemed to call for his former title under the Jedi, that which Veiere could not help but give pause with reluctance to acknowledge an honor he no longer felt himself worthy of. Glancing briefly to Kay, he couldn't help but note her complacency through the Force, she expecting him to take the lead in this one.

"Please, Veiere is fine" He lifted a hand in a reserved gesture, a smile to ensure that Amilthi knew there was no harm done; "I've not been among the Jedi for a very long time now" he offered something of a half nod, as though the truth came with regret for the brief look that he passed their present company. Alas, the newcomer had him at something of a loss, for he couldn't help but wonder if they had met before, yet his memory certainly wasn't what it used to be and over what felt like a lifetime, he had crossed paths with many a force practitioner, both of the light and otherwise.

Looking briefly to the crowd around them, the floor of the Barge well populated with people from all walks of life enjoying the fine hospitality of the Confederacy and most especially the generous givings of the House Malvern, Veiere smiled once more, seeking to answer then with something of a more positive subject. "Quite the party we've been invited to, is it not?" He turned his attention back to the Jedi Knight with a hint of intrigue, a penny for her thoughts and perhaps a further bit of insight as to her feelings not simply for their surroundings but with regards to the pair, themselves.

"I'm afraid it's been quite some time since [member="Lady Kay"] and I were graced with such an event, not of our own doing" Veiere chuckled softly, turning to glance down to his wife with an affectionate eye, his desire to remind her that together, neither one would be left standing on the outside. Back home, they were the King and Queen. Away from Commenor however, they could feel a little more at ease away from the troubles and stresses of leadership; and in this case, their relationship was their strength. Especially during a time where the both of them felt uncertain as to how they were perceived these days by the Galaxy surrounding them.

She had decided. To hell with the promise she'd made herself to not drink anymore. It had been several months and she had been operating through them all in peak performance, being everywhere, doing everything. If it was within her, she did it. If it was not, she learned how to get it done. She had worked her gorgeous butt off and she had not asked for anything out of line in return. Her salary was nice, she loved being with her friends, but her brother's visit…

It had left a hole inside her. All the screaming and crying, all the begging and pleading, none of it had helped. Even Baal could not wipe the pain off her face in the days that had followed. She'd requested a few days off between that day and now, but tomorrow she would be strapped in armor again, be covered in weapons again.

Now… Now she as going to drink.

Snapping her fingers at the bartender, Madalena made a quick order. A moment later, four shots of tequila were lined up in front of her. The smell hit her nose from where she was standing, and part of her wanted to drool over it, while another part wanted to smack the shots away.

All she had wanted was for things with her and Brayden to be as they used to. She'd never expected him to dedicate all his free time for her, she'd never made something that would imply such demands. But she wanted her brother. The one person in the 'verse that she could so completely and fully trust. She wanted to spend an evening with him, huddled under a blanket fort. She wanted to share meals. She wanted to talk. There had been no one closer to her than him, but he… He seemingly just wanted to poodoo over all of it. Like it didn't matter. Like any of it had ever mattered. Like they weren't each other's last family members. They'd never even fought before that day outside her ship. It had been…

Madalena downed the first shot.

Concealing himself inside of the force, Rylan stealthily moved through the square to where he had been requested, had it been almost anyone else he'd have probably just strolled in had a drink and found something else to do, but the weeks and months with this person had brought out a side he never knew he had, playfulness. Finding his target, he quickly approached and placed a hand over her eyes, and leaning in close "Boo." is all he'd whisper in her ear before letting himself be sensed and moving around to her found to scan her, Alora was looking quite wonderful this evening, and he felt like this was a good second chance to make up for his disappearance the last time they had tried to go to a party together.

In the sign language of her people, he moved his hands to say -Wow... you look exquisite-, hoping that he had remembered her training well with the precise movements of his fingers and hands, and even if he screwed it up, he was sure his eyes would give it away as he smiled at her, then he glanced at the bar, "Oh, I see that you've ordered already, and it's my favorite." he grinned, almost excitedly.

Amilthi was unsure whether she wasn't simply missing something, but it seemed to her that there was an expression of slight puzzlement rather than recognition in the Jedi Master's eyes. His request to be called by his given name gave her an easy opportunity to remind her of his. "Amilthi, then", she said with a smile, which she briefly also extended to his wife.

The changes the Commenorean couple had undergone were starker than expected. They seemed not only humbler than they were, but also, and perhaps more strikingly, less confident. Amilthi wasn't entirely sure how she felt about that.

"Quite. I understand the Confederacy don't go in for Deneban simplicity much", she wove another reminder into the conversation.

"And quite unusual for us to be invited, too. In my case, this is the sort of thing that Adron Malvern has taken to doing now after we failed to kill each other. He seems to think this a logical progression", she said with a wry smile. "What have you done to him?" This facetiousness was not her usual manner; but after thinking herself into an experimental, exploratory mindset, experiment was what she did. As she noticed somewhat to her own surprise, it came quite naturally to her.

You really should get out more.

That was essentially what Cardinal's older brother had told the leader of the Knight's Obsidian. Him....The man who spent the majority of his time seeing to the affairs of the state. It was not that he believed [member="Darth Metus"] was wrong for seeing to his duties, far from it. Merely, he was not exactly one to advise a social life. He recalled the man once stating Cardinal had no friends, which was a complete falsity. The man had several new plants in his office that kept him company in his long days of paperwork. Never the less, the Dominus Prime decided the next time The Confederacy hosted an event he would attend. Sadly, it came far sooner than he expected.

He made his way into a certain nightclub. One he had heard a few of his Knight's speak of on their way to the planet. The man was in interesting attire for the evening. As Cardinal never went out he had asked one of the younger Knight's to help him choose his outfit. He wore a pair of black jeans with a crimson design going down the left leg. They were entirely too tight yet they matched the black shirt he wore. A shirt which hugged his biceps with the threat of cutting them off and had a useless hood that hung over the back.

Is this what people actually wear? He passed by a window and mused to himself, staring at the image silently. In reality the man did not look ill-dressed for the evening, however to his crimson eyes he looked like the perfect fool. Worst of all was the silver bobble that hung around his neck, again almost to the point of constriction. It had the symbol of The Confederacy on it however it was far from official, likely some trinket the younger Knight had found in one of the nearby shops.

Upon entering the club, Cardinal immediately stared around with a lost expression. What the hell was he supposed to do again? Rather than focus on the awkwardness he felt, he made his way to the bar. As he did he could not help but mumble softly. "What the hell is playing?" He said, in reference to the music blaring through out the nightclub.

Cardinal's mood did seem to soften a bit when he saw a familiar face at the bar. [member="Scherezade deWinter"] sat with an array of shots before her. He approached, clasping a firm hand on her shoulder, almost as if they had just gotten off of a difficult mission. The formal air around him did not seem to dissipate as he spoke. "Knight Antares. I wasn't expecting to see you here....Although I wasn't expecting to see me here either." He offered a small smile before gesturing to the barstool beside her. "May I join you?"

The burning liquor flooded her mouth and burned her throat. Madalena's eyes widened in surprise as though it was the first time she tasted such a thing, but she swallowed the liquid nonetheless. She could feel the heat of it spreading through her neck and chest, the reddening of her face in response to it. It was a strange feeling. For a moment, the world seemed to spin in a way that she could feel, but it passed as quickly as it had started, and she was herself again.

Madalena checked her emotions. Nope, still crap. Her hand reached for the second shot, when she heard a familiar voice behind her. Knight Antares, he called her. She didn't feel like much of a Knight Obsidian in that moment. If she were a better Knight, emotions would not have grabbed her the way they did ever since the last meeting with Brayden, who was an Obsidian Knight as well.

All she had to offer him was a sad smile, and then she motioned for him to take the seat, her hand now moving to place one of the shots she had directly in front of him.

"This is a celebration, Dominus," she said. Music or no music, her voice was strong and clear, and easy to hear, "and we are on the side that is not supposed to be all uppity and stuff. You can just call me Madalena in this setting. And if you give me permission, I can call you by your name."

Cardinal could tell something had happened to Madalena. She seemed to have an exhausted disposition about her, but he decided against pointing it out. Instead, Cardinal took a seat beside the woman just as she slid the shot glass in front of him

He eyed the liquid closely, not entirely sure if this was a good idea. He did not drink, the last time had been when he was a little over twenty and it had not ended well....not at all. He cleared his throat at what she said, his name was one only his brother often spoke without some form of rank along with it. However, she was right, it was a celebration and the regulation stated that such was allowed. "Cardinal, then." He said, though the name sounded awkward even when falling from his lips.

"You're not going to dance? Some of the Knight's seem to have some skill....actually now that I take a closer look it doesn't look like as much skill as I thought." Although he could be wrong, though the man had been forced to learn a small number of formal dances in the event he was invited to a formal ball, his ability to move on a dance floor was unseen and would remain so.

"I haven't drank in a long time...Not sure if this is a good idea." He took the shotglass into his hands, letting his nose take in the scent of the liquor within. It smelled like a poison he learned to concoct as a boy, but it did have a certain aroma to it that he liked. "What's this called?" He asked, seeming hesitant to take the shot. He set it back down in front of him before looking around a bit.

"Knight Halu'rea helped me get ready for this but....Maybe I should have asked you instead. I'm not sure what the men on this planet wear, but I don't think this is it." He pulled on the shirt he was wearing before shrugging the thought away. "You always look presentable though." He added, as a minor compliment.

Alora let out an unintentional shriek that carried far further than she expected it too. If it weren't for Rylan's signature washing over her seconds later she likely would have whizzed round and stabbed him in the neck with the sharp heel of her shoe. Heart still racing in her chest, Alora turned in her chair to face him. 'You are so lucky. I was almost injuring you!' She spoke quickly, tone filled to the brim with adrenaline and coupled with a wild smile on her face. A second later her arms wrapped around his neck and she embraced him in a tight hug. His grasp of Ochotin was coming along splendidly, and she showed it with a proud grin. 'You are having practiced! It is very good.'

At his words she quickly pressed the crystalline glass into his hands and filled it to the brim with the sparkling amber liquid. 'Yes, I have remembering that it is your favourite.' It almost overflowed but Alora didn't seem to mind. By the end of the night the entire bottle would be gone, what did it matter if it was all in one glass or spread out over a few? 'I am thanking you for coming, I know no knowing of anyone else here.' Alora clicked her the glasses against each other with a firm nod. 'To us!'

"Cardinal, then," Madalena echoed his words, and nodded. Normally, she would have added a wide smile to such a statement, but she just couldn't find it within her to smile again so quickly.

Glowing green eyes followed the man as he took the shot in his hands and smelled it. For a moment, she thought he was going to drink it, but instead the man put the shot down instead. She shrugged, downing her second shot. Again the world spun, and again it stopped quickly. The Sithling blinked in surprise. It was almost as if her body was used to liquor. But she knew for a fact that she had not had a single drink in months!

Dance? "I'm a great dancer," she admitted as she prepared herself for the third and last shot, wondering if she should've ordered more. Eventually she just shrugged to herself. She could always order more, or other things, "but I'm not much in a dancing mood," she added, explaining why she was sitting here and not moving her hips there.

"Tequila," Madalena explained the drink, "it's what you drink when you want to get drunk fast. If you want something just for taste and flavor, there are other and better options. Either way, this is all covered by the Confederacy and not by us, so you can try as many things as you'd like."

To demonstrate her meaning, the woman downed her third and so far last shot, and then called for the bartender again, ordering something called Lady Butter.

"Thank you," she replied to his compliment, not sure for a moment of the rise of blush on her cheeks was because of the compliment or because of the alcohol. While Madalena was used to getting compliments from her surroundings, anything that had passed between her and the Dominus thus had been purely and strictly professional. It was different, being complimented on a good kill, or complimented on your styling.

She almost burst into an explanation about how she chose her clothes, but she realized that was something that could bore him and any potential eavesdroppers to death. "I'm not sure what the local fashion here is either," she explained herself though, "But your outfits suits you. It brings out the muscles, which is almost always considered attractive, and black fabric pretty much works on anyone. I'm sure if we walked around the dance floor, you'd get eyeballed by a few ladies at least, and potentially a few men too. I only check those things if I'm part of an official delegation to a place where it's culturally important. The rest of the time I just wear what I like and usually makes me feel good. Choices in armor and weapons included."

Her drink arrived quicker than she'd anticipated. Calling an extra straw to her hand, Madalena put it in her drink and offered it to Cardinal. "This is called Lady Butter," she finally found herself smiling again a little, "it's mostly creams and such, a touch of vanilla, but there's also some coffee liquor. Now I know you're a man who enjoys his coffee, but this also comes super sweet. It's one of the very few sweet things I can stomach. Give it a try."

Cardinal felt out of his element while sitting beside Magdalena. It was not that the woman was causing this discomfort, he merely could not shake the feeling he should be somewhere else, anywhere else. He coughed a bit to clear his throat before taking the alcohol in his hand once again. This time he tilted the small glass back, letting the liquid rush down his throat. His face naturally contorted at the taste of the drink, it had an oddly tangy aftertaste which he enjoyed, but the first rush to his taste buds was less than loved. Making a low grunting noise, he set the glass back on the counter before licking his lips.

He exchanged a silent look with Madalena, not caring to speak on the shot he just took. It was a rather nice feeling though, to actually try and unwind. Cardinal could have guessed Madalena was a good dancer. Just seemed to fit her character. He paused to consider his dance skills outside of what he'd learned in the CIS. It was limited to a variety of war-dances he barely remembered, most of which ended in combat or actions not suitable to the public eye of civilized society.

Although as Cardinal glanced back to the Dance floor he could not help but wonder if that was the case for some of the younger Knight's he saw dancing. Interesting, to say the least.

So what has you in such a bad mood?” Cardinal asked, perhaps merely trying to spark conversation, although there was a noticeable tone he took which showed genuine interest. When Madalena brought another drink and offered a sip to Cardinal he nodded silently. He didn't want to be rude or seem like a stick in the mud, beside she said it was mostly creams so maybe it would not be as strong as the tequila. He hesitated for a minute but when he saw his partner smile he could not help but take a sip. What came next was an impact of creams and sugars that caused him to laugh a bit. “That is pretty sweet.” He said. Cardinal generally didn't like sweet things, especially not this sweet, but he could something was cutting the sugars from overwhelming him. Probably the coffee, if anything. That was the only familiar thing he could taste.

I like it. Wish it had more coffee, but it's good. Well, what else is good to drink?” He asked, though in the back of his mind he felt as if something was just a bit different. He could feel the alcohol starting to weigh on him. A lot faster than he was expecting, though it as not so bad.

If at ever, Fiolette felt the jingoistic patriotism of the First Order was a bit much she had clearly been mistaken. "Don't believe I've seen a place so full of itself since my days in the First- no well, Atrisian Empire really but First Order will do." She commented to her wife as she placed a hand atop of the Lorrdian's. They had arrived as guests of Darth Tacitus but truth be told he was a rather insignificant part of their agenda. A key into a door, and here they were watching, witnessing the multitude of people throwing themselves into this cause. Not so unlike the Sith Empire she supposed, "you did wish to engage him, no?" She whispered and gestured toward Tacitus.

It was a lovely celebration if there could be one she supposed, the history of Ropagi alone was well, it was. As Fiolette's eyes looked about their surroundings her attention was drawn to a Palace Barge. "Oh my." She turned her wife's attention to [member="Lady Kay"] and [member="Veiere Arenais"], "look who we have here." This might turn out to be more interesting than she thought. She and Taeli had met with most of Confederates at their trade exposition, although it was less about trade and more about throwing money away. Which, while she enjoys throwing it, she does not enjoy wasting it away. So she had hoped to see the Minister of Commerce and speak more directly about both Primo Victorian and Aurora Industries settling into the territories.
