OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To flesh out the lore of the authoritarian protectorate I’m making.
  • Image Credit: Found in submission. But Atlas Kane for the gnarly logo. Gonzalo Salles [x]
  • Role: An offensive arm for Prefsbelt Command.
  • Permissions:
    • ApexTech [x]
    • Gat Tambor [x]
    • REC [x] [x]
    • Corondex [x]
    • Roble Manufacturing [x]
    • Iscariot Industries (Submission creator allowed it for NIO use) [x]
  • Links: Throughout Submission
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: Prefsbelt Stossjäger Corps
  • Affiliation: Prefsbelt Command and by extension the New Imperial Order [x].
  • Classification: Shock Troopers
  • Description: The Stossjäger are attired almost entirely in the clean, crisp and pristine PC-03 Stormtrooper Armour, and serve a similar role to their armours namesake. The Stossjäger's are troopers who are not trained or chosen, but have inherited the role from their previous lives within the First Order. Be it serving in their Security Bureau, Army or Stormtrooper Corps. Most members have at least five years combat experience within the First Order's armed services, with the very highest ranks holding twenty. As far as units go, they are exceedingly cohesive. While there are disparate backgrounds among them, something the command chain has fostered are close living quarters and exercises which have bonded these soldiers to the point where some are more loyal to their comrades than to the broader ideological cause. Somewhat conversely to the Auxiliaries, the Stossjäger are far more cordial to outsiders. While there is still a suspicion of them, civilian requests and complaints are fielded in a professional manner. When off duty, the soldiers keep to themselves, far prefering the company of comrades in arms and friends over civilians or outsiders.
COMBAT INFORMATION:
  • Unit Size: Medium
  • Unit Availability: Rare.
  • Unit Experience: Veteran
  • Equipment:
    • KXR SFR-58 'Bozdugan' Blaster Rifle [x]
    • IL-22B Assault Carbine [x]
    • Rhypalm [x]
    • IL-62G Smart Grenade [x]
    • KXA ABDG-01x 'Null' Grenade [x]
    • BH 'Specter' Slicer Vibroknife [x]
    • REC-RCB/01 Enforcement Baton [x]
    • BH 'Durin' Charric Blaster Pistol [x]
    • KXR SBR-60x Particle Beam Battle Rifle [x]
    • REC-CBS/01 "Doombringer" - Pattern Combat Scattergun [x]
    • CF6 Concussion Rifle [x]
    • LS-1 "Angry Owl" Light Sniper Rifle [x]
    • BAW-63 Heavy Rotary Blaster Cannon [x]
    • KXG 'Stopilka' IDR-854-01A [x]
    • ZXR-1 "Precision" Energy Sword [x]
    • PC-03 Stormtrooper Armour [x]
  • Combat Function: The Stossjäger are an elite corps of army and mechanised forces, who are highly versatile in their abilities, and operate in most conventional military capacities. The Stossjäger are typically however staffed aboard Prefsbelt Command Star Destroyers or space stations as expeditionary forces or marine contingents for campaigns operated by the Prefsbelt Command. Outside of this capacity, the Stossjäger are a rarity to see on Prefsbelt, apart from the occasional patrol in Nova Avalonia and Fortress Dosuun or acting as the guards for the Kuat-Entralla Shipyards. Compared to the larger forces of the New Imperial Order, Stossjäger are a rarity in New Imperial space. Outside of their niche on Prefsbelt or aboard accompanying destroyers, these elite troops are barely found.

Stossjäger's on operations.

Strengths:
  • Combat Veterans: The Stossjäger are elite troops with many among their ranks being 10+ year combat veterans. As such when coordinating and found in the field, the Stossjäger are a dangerous threat, and even alone the average Stossjäger is a deadly combatant.
  • Versatile Combatants: Due to their choice of armour, the Prefsbelt Stossjäger’s are trained to fight in every environment in the known Galaxy. From space to deserts, to mountains and forests, one can find Stossjäger’s prepared to fight.
Weaknesses:
  • Loyalty To One Another: The Stossjäger if anything are more loyal to each other than to the cause, as much as Command loathes to admit it. Many of the members of the Stossjäger have served with one another through thick and thin. Pinning a unit down, and killing its members is likely to make the others angry, but also reckless.
  • Rare In Number: Stossjäger are typically not deployed outside of Prefsbelt in great concentrations. So if one sees them attached to regular New Imperial Order campaigns, there likely aren’t a great many able to reinforce their ranks after a bloody engagement.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Stossjäger are the spiritual successors of the much earlier Retribution Corps [x], an ad hoc formation of assorted military specialists, stormtroopers and army personnel. These personnel fought a brief yet brutal way against the Ssi-Ruuk Imperium and later to a lesser extent, the Outer Planets Alliance in the ruins of First Order territory. Once such a wars futility became apparent, the Stossjäger worked to evacuate civilian loyalists from territories left without First Order protections.

The Stossjäger only truly began at Fortress Dosuun, once the Prefsbelt Command was established. Grand Admiral Rausgeber finally had the resources, industrial assets and backers to finally give these units armour worthy of their position and unify these soldiers in doctrine, equipment and capacity, but also to fulfill an agreement made with Prefsbelt Command’s benefactor, the New Imperial Order. One of the points laboured during negotiations with Sovereign Imperator Irveric Tavlar was the elite forces at their disposal, and their capacity to assist the New Imperial Order’s ascent to power.

All attired in the crisp white of the PC-03 Armour, the Stossjäger Corps was entered into service as the offensive arm of the Prefsbelt Command. While Stossjäger’s would be present in a defensive on Prefsbelt, they would be placed to secure key locations such as the Kuat-Entralla Shipyard, and Fortress Dosuun or supplementing the Nova Avalonia garrison. Stossjäger would however find their niche as the marine corps aboard Prefsbelt Command starships or complimenting regular stormtroopers in their campaigns against the New Imperial Orders enemies.

Hi my name is Judah Lesan, and I am here to review your sub!

A lot of this checks out and is good work. There are a couple of things I do need from you before we can wrap up this submission.

No. 1. IMAGE CREDIT

While it is fine to put images anywhere in the submission you would like, no one should have to search your submission for the credit. It is obvious, but I would prefer to see it in the actual image credit portion of the template. That is why it is there after all.
No. 2. PERMISSIONS

The first issue is that you do not link to a purchase or interaction where you have been given permission to use the submissions from the NIO. You will need to provide this. Also in looking over some of the equipment you do have closed market pieces which do not belong to the NIO. I would look over your pieces listed and ensure you have the proper permissions for the equipment you are using.
As per the General Submission Guidelines:
Factory Submissions that are included in Codex Submissions must conform to the limits of production and affiliation set forward in the Factory. If an item listed was created by another member and has specific affiliations or is listed as "Closed Market" you will be required to include proof of purchase/permission by the original submitter for the equipment or you will need to choose something else. (A more detailed breakdown of affiliations and permissions can be found here.) No exceptions.

Go ahead and tag me when you have this all sorted and we can get this moving on. I am training so this will need a second review once I pass it up.

Well sir the image credits have been deposited where you wanted, but regarding the factory submissions I do in fact have permission. Pictured below is a screencap of the NIO's very own Irveric Tavlar Irveric Tavlar providing such permission:

Also, if I may, here are some purchasing perms for the NIO:
ApexTech x
REC x
CORONDEX X
Anything produced by Gat Tambor x

The issue I had was that the permission wasn't linked or visible in the template. And as the guidelines do state the need to be there, no exceptions. Once you include them in the submission template in the proper place I can pass this up.

Thank you kindly good sir!

Good Work on these so far but there are still a few items that we need to go through before I can mark this as approved.

Affiliation

According to the template:

  • Affiliation: [ Who is this unit loyal too? Usually a faction, company, or character. Link any relevant character bios, faction pages, or groups. ]

Accordingly, could you provide a link to the NIO faction page.

Permissions

Although it seems that you did get most of the permissions in this submission there are a few that we still need to obtain permissions for.

  1. REC-RCB/01 Enforcement Baton - Although you did provide a link to an REC post the Baton is not included on that page. Please provide a l;ink to the specific permissions for this weapon.
  2. BAW-63 Heavy Rotary Blaster Cannon - This submission was produced by Roble manufacturing who you have not shown permissions for. Please obtain permissions to use it or delete the weapon from your list.
  3. ZXR-1 "Precision" Energy Sword - This submission was produced by Iscariot Industries, with no affiliation provided to the NIO, therefore as above, please provide permissions to use this submission or remove it from your submission.

Combat Function

  • Combat Function: The Stossjäger are an elite corps of army and mechanised forces, who are highly versatile in their abilities, and operate in most conventional military capacities. The Stossjäger are typically however staffed aboard Star Destroyers or space stations as expeditionary forces or marine contingents for campaigns operated by the Prefsbelt Command. Outside of this capacity, the Stossjäger are a rarity to see on Prefsbelt, apart from the occasional patrol in Nova Avalonia and Fortress Dosuun or acting as the guards for the Kuat-Entralla Shipyards.

The text above makes it sound like the Stossjäger can be found on multiple star Destroyers or space stations, however you marked the unit down as [Rare] which, according to the template, means that:

Rare (very few, difficult to replace, may have long training times)

Could you please clarify what you mean in the combat function field?

John Locke John Locke

Well to elaborate if I may, you're not going to find Stossjäger on every ship in NIO space, but what you will find is a Stossjäger on any ship commanded by Prefsbelt Command. They're a force who garrison one planet of many and act as the security/infantry force for vessels aligned to their very small niche of the Galaxy. So if you compare these units to say regular NIO forces, they are a rarity. You're not going to find these guys on say Irveric Tavlar's super star destroyer or something.

I have also editted the permissions as requested.

Robogeber Robogeber

That's fine, if you could add that clarification to the submission that would be great since then anyone reading through the submission would know that they are only to be found on the few ships used by Prefsbelt command. Please do keep in mind that rare means that they should've be found on a significant number of vessels to prevent issues with the submission in the future.

In terms of the permissions, I notice that you are now missing the post showing permissions for the REC-CBS/01 "Doombringer" - Pattern Combat Scattergun you will need to show the permissions for both REC products.
