Brief History: The origins of the 33rd Tercio Legion, the "Sons of Amon," began with the twilight hours of the second incarnation of the First Order. Like almost every Stormtrooper in the First-Imperial Military, they started their life-long careers as Children. The methods of acquisition varied from Unit to Unit, as some were taken from their parents at an early age, and others were sold to the state in the hopes of advancing their social standing. In many ways, it was despicable and abhorrent to the sacred bonds between parents and their offspring. However, it was the only way, in their minds, that would produce a capable army of super-soldiers without resorting to the costly and gruesome methods of genetic manipulation. Thus, these Children were folded into the military-industrial complex of the First-Imperial Armed Forces and subjected to countless years of indoctrination.

It was during their formative years that a child could be transformed into a super-soldier, as there were no preconceived notions that existed in their minds. They were, for all intents and purposes, a blank canvas that could be painted with any brush and paint that the artist’s hand desires. Such a radical training program was devised by a former Republic Officer and Imperial Commandant - who took massive inspiration from both the Jedi Knights and Clone Troopers of that era. Both of these groups, as mentioned earlier of warriors were trained from childhood and unmatched in the fields of combat prowess and dedication to their respective causes. It was those factors alone that caused this man - who went by the name of Brendol Hux - to create this program to bring about a better breed of Stormtrooper.

That man’s legacy endured throughout the centuries and eventually led to the creation of the 43rd Stormtrooper Legion. Which, in turn, was stationed aboard the ageing Resurgent-Class Star Destroyer that bore the name of “The Eidolon.”

When the First Order was beset by enemies on all fronts and fell prey to the machinations of the Ssi-Ruuvi Imperium, these noble men and women stood against the rising reptilian tide with weapons in hand. They faithfully guarded and garrisoned the worlds of the Ison Corridor, successfully repulsing myriad vanguard elements of the Ssi-Ruuk Incursion. However, when the Golden Company arrived to take their due, the martial prowess of an ancient training regime found its match in the skilled hands of Thyrsian Warriors. From one world to the next, the two opposing ideologies clashed against one another. While the fighting was brutal and glorious in a macabre sense, there could only be a single victor. With their advantage in technological superiority, the Golden Company did what the Galactic Alliance and the Ssi-Ruuvi Imperium failed to do on multiple occasions.

They bested the First Order along the Ison Corridor and forced them out of their trenches. Such a monumental victory, however, was overshadowed by the significant events elsewhere in the galaxy, most notably the Confederacy of Independent Systems seeking to punish the Mandalorian Empire for their transgressions against the Echani people. Nevertheless, after they were soundly defeated, those surviving First Order personnel found themselves at the mercy of the Golden Company. They were beaten and capitulated due to a lack of a command hierarchy. Had there been any ranking Officer from Central Command, the man would’ve demanded that they fight to the last man, to die bravely in service to the First Order, and by extension the Supreme Leader.

However, they were Wolves without their Alpha and needed guidance. That was where Khonsu Amon came in. He was a Warlord within the ranks of the Golden Company and led his forces into battle against what remained of the First Order. In their collective eyes, this was the man that engineered their downfall and possibly someone worthy of their begrudging respect. He had an entire army at his mercy, and with a single word - the man could leave a carpet of corpses in his wake. Yet, instead of following through with the expected tides of barbaric bloodlust, the 43rd Stormtrooper Legion was given a choice. They could either die, alone and forgotten on the Fortress World of Hoth - or be recast in hues of Gold and Black. Some stayed true to their programming and were regrettably slain on the spot, and buried beneath the tundra.

But, for those that made a choice to live on? They were taken in by the Golden Company and given a new purpose.

As these former First-Imperial Stormtroopers made their transition away from the First Order, the most significant difficulties that occurred were breaking through the decades of mental conditioning they were subjected too. It was nothing like the Thyrsian Mercenaries had ever seen. In many ways, they were similar to these Stormtroopers - conflict was a way of life for them due to their culture prospering in an unforgiving environment. However, what made them different, was the amount of fanatical propaganda that was shoved down their throat. These Stormtroopers were fighting for an idea that they didn't truly accept as their own, and for those that considered them expendable. It was a drastic change when they were given the option to live for themselves and amongst people that regarded them as a part of their extended - and ever-growing family.

For nearly a year, these Stormtroopers endured the best treatments that credits could afford and found themselves free to choose their own destiny; while dealing with whatever lingering traces of Indoctrination remained. They no longer served the First Order or the Supreme Leader. Instead, they swore themselves wholly to the Sun Guard and the Supreme Sun Guardian, who stood above them all; Khonsu Amon.

Thus, with the 43rd Stormtrooper Legion effectively dissolved, those remaining soldiers were transferred into their own Tercio Legions within the Thyrsian Auxilia. The 33rd Legion was the first of their kind, as it was comprised entirely of First-Imperial Shocktroopers. For that reason alone, they were granted a new honourific that was worn with pride and distinction. They had become the first of the "Sons of Amon."

[member="Scherezade deWinter"] - Thank you very much for catching those links, would've been quite embarrassing to ask for edits later on down the line.

While they're not required, I'll still keep the hard numbers in there. An extra tidbit of flavour if you will.

Edits complete!
