The Order of the Silver Jedi

Mr. OOC

News They Don't Want Heard
We've already begun working against you, rest assured. You simply don't know it yet. Your expansionist efforts in the Caldera are being monitored.

You come and take our home and then we are the bad guys ?

Not only that but [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"] ends up tearing that nice solar roof we had going ? Wait till I get Darth Greenpeace.

[member="Heim Avendahl"] We didn't 'take it'. We're simply custodians, watching over a planet abandoned by your brethren, as so many others were. Admittedly, Korriban doesn't have much of a population to protect or care for, but many of the others worlds in the former Sith Empire's territory do, and they benefit much from the absence of their former masters. And, frankly, if we thought the Sith would not use it to do harm, we'd be willing to give it back.

Sadly, it's like trusting a child with a turbolaser. They may say they just want to look at it, but really they want to watch things explode when they use it. We have to be the adults and say 'no', as a result.

[member="Darth Ignus"] And there was me thinking that 'Sith Intelligence' so often serves as an oxymoron. Not in all cases, it's true, but even so...

[member="Darth Carnifex"] It's a tomb world. They're hard to sully, since pretty much everything of interest on them is dead anyway. Is that why you want it back? So we can bury you there, alongside your brethren? I'm sure [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] would happily accommodate you, if that's your desire!

Korriban - Sith Holocaust

Dromund Kaas - Nearly destroyed by the Mandalorians with the approval of the Republic & Jedi

The kinds of Sith currently monitoring your efforts are the kind you should be most afraid of. The ones that make big shows of things, the flamboyant Sith, are mostly bark with no lasting bite.

[member="Darth Carnifex"] With very good reason!

[member="Darth Ignus"] There's little point giving way to fear, so I'll refrain from being afraid of your fellows. The worst you can do is kill us, and that's hardly anything at all.

Tsk. Killing you is not the worst we can do. In fact, that would be far too simple a thing to do, to release you from the mortal realm. No, there are worse things than death.

[member="Darth Carnifex"] Not at all, but we were not responsible for that, and the Republic undoubtedly had their reasons for it. Regardless, past atrocities do not justify modern ones, and for that reason alone, it's appropriate to keep the citizenry of your former worlds firmly out of your hands!

Your Order was carved from the carcass of the Old Empire, your leaders were members of the Republic during the time Dromund Kaas had most of its population, civilian and military, wiped out by the Mandalorians. The Republic only watched and did nothing, the Jedi watched and did nothing.

You would label us guilty for the sins of our forebearers, yet you are shocked when people look upon you in the same light?

I name you hypocrite, and your hold upon the ancestral worlds of the Sith false and oppressive. Deliverance will come, if not from me then from others who share my sentimentality. I hear they are quite numerous, youthful, and hungering.

[member="Darth Carnifex"] You're correct to name our forebearers are wrong, and we're just as responsible as you for continuing the pointless war between us, but oppressive to hold the Sith worlds? I don't recall enslaving populations or butchering those who fail to serve our purposes. Certainly members of our Order have failed to prevent such atrocities, but I for one have never been part of them, and nor have any of my brethren now.

But, by all means, unleash your butchers and your thugs. When it comes to oppression, I do believe the Sith are experts.

Your definition of oppression is narrow and stifling, just like your ideology.

The inhabitants of the Sith Worlds were wrought from darkness and hardship, they have known the persecution of the Light all of their lives. Your mere presence is a reminder of the horrors inflicted upon them by the Republic and Mandalorians.

If you believe that adherents of the Light cannot oppress those they lord over, then you are no better than those who murdered our people as they praised the Light to give their sword arm strength.

[member="Teynara Jeralyr"]

[member="Darth Carnifex"] The vast majority of the inhabitants of your worlds had never seen a Jedi up until recently, and suffered far more from the oppression of the Darkness than from the existence of the Light. If they now find that intolerable, it is a consequence of what the Sith have wrought on those worlds, a level of oppression that harms them even when the Sith are absent, and thus resistant to the healing we offer. Not to worry. We'll be here for a good while longer, so we'll slowly cure them of it.
