The Liberation of Dac [Republic vs. Sith Empire]

The change was evident. The Jedi was giving himself over to the Dark - his connection to the Force was wavering and shifting. After this was over, the Jedi would shun him. She was certain. She allowed herself to push herself into the path of the falling Jedi's attack, her blade coming around in a traditional Soresu deflection. He was strong, but... Well. She wasn't all that she seemed. She could handle. The idea was to give her ally another chance to strike at the Jedi while his guard was open.

Nico saw and heard alarms as she stood there with her blades. Whatever Serenity was doing it was working she hoped and hearing the battle going on outside the room she was in was enough. Her hands clenched while the nerves danced. The datapad getting the information the director of the Republic's intelligence office was downloading and sending to one of the Watts classes in orbit. They still had much to find but her smirk was back while she wondered what her master was doing on the planet with the others. The scream of Vulps brought her attention around but she couldn't risk abandoning Serenity here and risk losing the program or the data. The sith might purge it all in an attempt to stop them or deny the shipyards.

Came in like a wrecking maul
@[member="Aerrah Katamirth"]

Saki slammed into the ground, her hands the first thing as the left wrist snapped illiciting a scream from her lips while awareness rolled her forward. The her off hand going to her waist as she held it and looked to it at an odd angle. The pain shooting through her arm to match the pain in her jaw but she stood up as Aerrah was there with her blades. -SNAP hiss- the sound of her saber as she held it in her working hand was more then enough. The yellow blade shimmering while a smirk came to her face. "Alright then." Her muscles tensed while the force went into the muscles and Saki charged again bringing the blade around in a semi circle while she jumped and tucked her feet in using a juyo technique. Her saber downward to get a block from the woman while her boots went down to try and land on her kneecap and break the leg.

The slave-wistie to the Hutt sith master watched above the fray, small wings beating furiously. The weird-talkig Nautolan was out of as much trouble as he was in. She shared the same thoughts as the newb-hutt slave.

Survive.

There were more sith. Today wasn't the day she would be escaping from Mister Mucus. Good behavior might get her another toadstool bed. With a sudden burst of speed and light, she fell from the air like a falling star. Small hands reached out as her skin glowed, able to burn anything that came in contact with the fire folk's touch. And, considering she was confined to a slave-girl bikini, there was a lot of exposed skin ready to burn whatever she came in contact with.

Her trajectory: Vulpesen's nose, lithe fingers heading for his nostrils.

The Force scream caught him off guard, largely because that was not a very Jedi thing to do. This was a victory in itself for Eosin. Every time a Sith got a Jedi to violate their principles and give into the Dark Side of the Force, it was a Sith victory. Even if for just the briefest of moments, even if for a single engagement. Eosin skid a few feet back, the flimsy Force scream not having the power of a true Dark Sider behind it. Besides, the hallway was much too long for Eosin to be sent all the way down it.

"Look at dat, de skeeny mon ain't too good a Jedai aftah all." Eosin jibed.

He could feel the rage boiling off of Vulpesen. The raw fury, the murderous intent. What an absolutely pisspoor Jedi. Why the hell was the Jedi Order letting him run around anyway? No self-restraint. Eosin relished in Vulpesen's anger, letting it fuel his own. Eosin surrendered himself to the Dark side now, letting it fill every fiber of his being. He wouldn't go down as easily this time, especially not with the red-haired woman to help him.

Eosin spat, walking forward. "Try ya luck, skeeny mon. Ya alredey undah de dark side a'da Force. Erry momant ya spend dere is a momant I win."

Then the "Jedi" sprinted forward, preparing to run Eosin through. His attack was swiftly intercepted by the woman, affording Eosin a prized opportunity. He ran forward, strafing to put him at the side of Vulpesen's locked blade arm. With Vulpesen's blade presently stuck against Kathryn's blade, he was more than open to assault. Eosin's blade came down in a quick arc, attempting to sever the man's hand.

Contrary to belief, Arvis did notice the grenade, though he had thought it would have blown up already. It seemed that Break, the Human Replica Droid liked to have long timers on his grenade.

He fell backwards before the grenade to explode, and let him roll backwards as it blew up while he was in mid roll. The explosion only sent him further away from the jedi padawan. Luckily enough, his force shield had absorbed the grenade's explosion, barely. This time he was struck with shrapnel and heat. Thankfully, the heat wasn't enough to burn him to a crisp, or badly hurt him. Nor was the shrapnel strong enough to actually embed itself into his flesh.

He watched as the Padawan circled around him. He couldn't let him out maneuver him. So he moved in his own circle to counteract the Jedi's movements. He spotted Break, the HRD and nodded. It was the signal for him to strike, but whether or not Break did in fact attack, Arvis would never know for his eyes were set on the Emperor submitting and being captured. It was time to go, he needed a shuttle...And his amphistaff.

He formed a weak force shield on his body, and his eyes spotted his amphistaff, still incapacitated on the floor next to the body of a crushed trooper. He force pulled the amphistaff to his hand and started to back away. It was time to escape, and he would.

He let the force empower his legs as much as they were willing and practically ran / limped away from the control center's now ruined courtyard.

As he waited for @[member="Sochi Ru"] and @[member="Eenes Kokad"] to attack, Rasho watched with some amusement as @[member="Vulpesen"] exhausted himself, lost his self-control in a spectacular way, and otherwise rendered himself less and less combat-capable. To the Jedi Knight's jibes, Rasho made no reply. If the young man intended to wear himself out like this and still hope to be useful against a Master, well, there were pills for that.

He noted @[member="Evangeline Sage"]'s attack with great pleasure. "You," he informed her as her burning grasp assailed the Knight's nose, "were always my favorite Wistie. A toadstool shall be yours." @[member="Zoe Kelborn"], for her work against the rat, would receive unspecified largesse.

He made a note to pretend to be able to promote @[member="Kathryn Dae"], as she would look stunning in Ryloth silk with a silver chain.

But then, in his moment of inattention, Sochi Run lunged. She went for a flip over him, and an aerial assault -- and one could not succeed without the other. He swirled up his extended lightstaff blade to bat the strike aside, but was unable to spit her in midair. She landed near his vulnerable tail. Jamming his arm back, he ignited the second blade of the lightstaff to intercept her powerful cut with all the strength of a muscular arm as big around as her waist. A half-roll put his back to the Quarren but brought his free hand around, and a multi-forked wreath of lightning arced toward Sochi's face and torso at point-blank range, intending to slam her back against the blast door he'd been guarding. Eenes Kokad had an opening, for the moment.

the grenade had in fact only been there a matter of seconds but that was beside the point. Break watched as the sith had destroyed their chances of defeating the padawan by throwing the grenade at the droids. the fight was lost and Break knew it. his hope in the sith being any different than the jedi that abandoned his father in his time of need were gone all of them were useless. Noting this he retreaded back to his carrier he had stolen. He was going home, the planet was lost and he knew it.

A gasp popped from Kiskla's diaphragm as a powerful presence intercepted with her own. It was a strange feeling, suddenly everything about her was heightened; especially her senses. To see that the lightning had been ineffective by whatever means, mostly igorance, she twirled her lightsaber until it was in reverse-grip and she stared at the ground, catching her bearings before looking at the Jedi that had apparently melded with her.
No words were necessary, before she took off again, both of her blades disengaged and clipped, finding their home next to the one she had claimed earlier. Kaine was under control, but one of his shadowy acolytes was retreating.
She was confident @[member="Darc Xavior Talus"] would follow, considering he had chosen to intercept her signature. She reached out in a similar method as earlier, extending to pursue the dark signature of the Sith Knight, @[member="Marcus Faust"]. Like a heat-guided missile, her presence extended around the ankles of the Sith; tripping him up in his pursuit of distance.

"Now, now Sith." Kiskla commented, surprisingly calm considering the palpitations of her heart due to the meld. "Running back to the darkness never offered anyone redemption."

Aronis hurried, trying to get back to a fortified position. Looking back towards the sky, he cursed under his breath as the shuttles descended. He would have to stay and fight, the time for running and hiding was over. Aronis felt the Force signature he could recognize anywhere, that of his former master, @[member="Iella E`ron"]. She could hunt him all over this city relentlessly. Perhaps he'd attempt to surprise her and do what she would least expect. Hunt her down.

Tracking her wasn't hard, she had landed, most likely with a group of soldiers, only a short distance away. He covered the ground swiftly, closing in on her location.

As Vulpesen's blade met that of the girl, he kept an eye on his primary target, watching as he came in for a side attack. The tactic might have worked had he not forgotten about Vulpesen's second blade. Pivoting his blade on @[member="Kathryn Dae"]'s he braced himself as the back end came to block the weapon of @[member="Eosin Ryj"]. Grunting under the strength of the combined sith, Vulpesen almost failed to notice the Whistie coming straight for his face. Almost. Using the strength behind Esosin's attack Vulpesen made a quick turn, growling as a small burning sensation came on the tip of his nose, caused by a small point of contact. Trying to ignore the pain, he ducked and continued his spin to slash at the midsections of his surrounding enemies. At the very least, he might at least get them to back up.
His body was doing fine, a natural in combat as he was naturally quick on his feet. His mind on the other hand, was raging war. Dark and light, rage and peace, love and hate, it was all swirling around. All he wanted was silence. He wanted freedom, but he wanted others to be safe. He was a jedi in motive, but his actions were turning away from that path. Where was he going? Where was that peace of mind that he had trained to carefully hold on to. Somewhere Ace was screaming and howling for his own peace as Vulpesen's conflict seeped into that of the Ashlan wolf. Eosin's words brought on a new conflict as he became aware of his struggle, yet equally rage filled at the insults.

There was one flaw in Rasho's plan. Kathryn was deeply Humanocentric, so any attempts to engage her were going to be met with the kind of contempt that only a Sith could muster.

Tracyn walked past Hion, throwing his hand up behind him, as Hion was to his back in an apathetic and careless manner."Gamble on it, and you might win."He said, walking into the chaos of the city, caring little for the battle raging on around him. If Hion didn't follow him, he was free to do as he wished.

Tracyn had other things to do. Or not do.

He didn't make a sound as he fell, he simply rose up and turned to face @[member="Kiskla Grayson"]. From behind his mask, sickly yellow eyes looked upon her with disgust. Whether it was arrogance or defiance, she wouldn't know, but he didn't turn and run. She wasn't going to let him get away, not until she was bleeding out on the ground. Or at least distracted. Either way this would take a while.

He reached to his side and pulled out his saber, igniting it quickly. He need not say a word, his message was clear, he would not go down without a fight. In his right hand, he grasped the saber, in the left purple hued electric energy sparked in his hand. Most times, lighting from a knight wasn't a serious threat, but Marcus was different, his lightning was his signature ability, his power play, his trump card, and he would need all his cards on the table to survive this.

She could sense the conflict in his mind. Mental fatigue was far worse than physical fatigue - lightsaber combat required extreme focus, and if the "Jedi" wasn't completely on the ball, he was gonna have a bad time. He had managed to defend himself adequately thus far, but as his mind faltered, so would his ability to keep going. Mistakes would be made. Mistakes such as slicing with his lightsabers at their mid sections.

Kathryn didn't shy away from the attack- instead she again moved into it, bringing her lightsaber up in a swift, yet economical movement. The idea was to stop his attack dead, and jar his arm at the shoulder joint from how quickly his arm would come to a halt. Likely it wouldn't cause him to drop his saber, but a sharp, and likely throbbing pain in his right shoulder would vastly decrease Vulpesen's ability to move his arm properly. Her plan was simple. Keep this up until he was slowed suitably, and then end him before he found a way to recover...

The eight hundred pound Herglic called after the newly-turned Dark Sider. "Ordo, hauuum, I'm afraid I'll have to ask you not to attack any of my allies. Will you consent to this request, at least?"

PERIMETER OF THE CONTROL CENTRE

There was no hiss from the girl's sapphire swords. The Sith didn't speak, and it was his cold silence that segmented him as the resilient type. He wasn't going to hang his head, and tuck his figurative tail between his legs and schluck alongside his Emperor back to Coruscant to stand trial. Her light eyes did detect every flux of his muscles though, physical and otherwise as the sparks on his skin culminated.
Usually, Kiskla would have jumped into this fight. But that whole offering redemption thing seemed to be trumping these days, so, as she wove a thick metaphysical barrier about her body; overlapping the armour that protected parts of her, she spoke. There was something animal-like about the Sith, something untamed that was wild and expressive in his dark signature.

"You don't have to fight me." Kiskla spoke, although the partner she was bonded with seemed to think otherwise; she remained focused however, on her Masterly duty. She kept an eye on the growing lightning in his palm, however. "Your Empire is falling. There will be little for you there. But, come with us and there will be mercy at your trial"

The paragon was one with Kiskla as if it were a single mind. The Emperor was announced secured on comlink in the Republic's custody. With this said Darc was at peace but darkness still lingered in the shadows. Darc sharing one mind with Kiskla, he turned his attention to her and what she was looking at. @[member="Marcus Faust"] was retreating and with one quick sweep he was dropped off balanced. The Sith regained his footing swiftly and ignited a purple blade. His precognition struck as he sensed a tremor in the Force. The Sith had hurled a wave of lightning towards Kiskla. Darc sped forward between them both and took the lightning bolt straight on. He summoned the Force to deflect the lightning and held the bolt with his palm; absorbing the raging dark energy. With the force meld still active, he combined his will and Kiskla's to reverse the polarity of the lightning bolt to send it back to the desperate Sith.

She ignored her master's praise. The hutt always had a favorite for something or another. However, she was pleased to know a new toadstool would be waiting for her. The little, temporary soldier maintained her focus as she brushed past Vulpesen's nose.

Success - well, kinda sorta. The jedi was sporting a nice little burn on the edge of his nose. Her lightning fast form zipped around his head and this time, she went to latch onto his ear with her burning grip. She intended to hang on and yank the lobe of his fleshy-ear hard to the left. Deep breaths of oxygen filled the little wistie as her wings continued to beat furiously through the air.
