Who is the ruling body of the Republic, the Jedi or the Senate?
As the Jedi's general response to the Senate in RP time and time again has made it seem like the Jedi run the show.
We mostly RP the same way as the Jedi acted in the Clone Wars. IE the Jedi answer to the Jedi, not the Senate. Technically, in matters both politic and military, the Supreme Chancellor is in charge (unlike in canon where the Senate controlled everything and the Chancellor was a figurehead.) The reason for this is trying to have 30 different writers making decisions together is a near impossible task. It's easier to have just one person in charge.
So the Senate is the figurehead around here, for the most part. But just as in the Clone Wars series, the Jedi handle the Jedi. Jedi breaks a law, the Jedi will handle them - not the Senate. Even the Supreme Chancellor asks favors of the Jedi, knowing they can say 'no' at any point. It's the same as it's always been, you just don't get a lot of that background noise that helps set the stage for understanding.
Yes Krest. Yes they do. I imagine using the Dark Side is like having BO - you may not smell it, but people who aren't used to it certainly do.

TL;DR You don't demand of the Jedi, and the Jedi don't demand of you.
