Public The Exhibition of Light

Gunships weren't exactly his thing. Ships in general weren't, given he didn't like to fly, but there was little use for a gunship for Aris. Yet, he found himself wandering between the exhibits. There was a more simple part of him that just liked how the ships looked. Some were sleek, some were more robust and technical. He sipped at the cup he had, smiling faintly. It was some kind of juice he'd gotten from one of those food stalls. There were probably other things to eat and drink, and he would eventually.

Maybe.

Right now he was distracted by one of the sleeker models. Why this design? What was the method they even came up with it? All kinds of questions passed through his mind, but he didn't voice them. He just sipped his drink and let his mind wander on it's own.

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
The sounds of the expo continued as she remained there, hovering. The mental communion with the creature at the base of the platform. Its large size something that had been used for mobile temples and older things once upon a time. She could feel him relaxing, the waters of Naboo cool and with the repulsors that were built into the channels it was like jets massaging his underbelly. The excitement of the platform being on the back of a giant creature was also a novelty as the energy bridges were able to retract. His movements as he swam around and others shows could be seen. Their excitement was also there as he would raised his head to let out a thrumming roar. Now loud but more like a call that could be felt in the body.

The jedi remained hovering as she watched it with him and was observing many of the other aspects of the expo. There was more people here then she had thought there would be. The excitement in the air as speeders were still arriving and she heard something. "MOMMY." The piercing sound as a small ball of energy launched herself away from the expo. Hanae, her and Hanna's tenth daughter rose up and latched onto her mothers back like she was giving a piggyback ride. She was one of the few who could touch and grasp the jedi master when she was using art of the small on her molecules but she did. Her arms wrapping around her neck as her hair to the side.

SHe breathed for a moment but turned her head to look at the girl as she spoke. "I want to so see the other jedi." She looked at the girl and her time going to the silvers and sometimes the Hidden paths areas had been interesting. She had only met Connel Vanagor Connel Vanagor once but she liked seeing the other jedi as the master didn't touch the ground but adjusted her to be in one arm. The other letting her gesture while she was floating and moving. Herr robes adjusting as the size became sleeveless allowing her arms to be seen. The train of it receding into a simple design while the molecules were adjusting with the matter itself. "I don't know if you know any of the jedi here sweetie."

She said it and the girl looked at her. "Eternity is here, I can ride him around." The jedi master looked towards the shard high marshal. The shard was in his chassis of an oversized Ssi-ruu with its massive saurian head, tail and body. Able to lead the iron legion of shard walkers that they had designed. She looked at the girl while her hair was condensing into a smaller curtain behind her but she remained there. "Do you really think he'll enjoy that?" She asked it and the girl looked at her as only a child can who was trained by jedi and a politician. "I think Momma would say we need to regotiatisate." She was nodding and Matsu looked at her while she just ran a hand through her head.

"Momma is going to have to stop teaching you how to convince me." She said it as moving she saw the small ride they were on circling around still and the High Marshal was there. Hanae's voice coming out as she spoke. "She said if I am cute and adorable you'll let me do anything." Matsu would have to have a conversation with that woman... later maybe she wasn't angry but weaponizing cuteness was not the jedi way.... might be the Hapan politician way. "Hmmm." Was all she said as she saw Eternity overlooking the Gonki droids who were in a small pen. Their riders all being put into safety equipment. Helmets, pads and they looked like puffed up ropos or porgs but they wouldn't get hurt if they fell off of the Gonki droids.

The High Marshal looked at her as she was at his considerable eye levels. The gleaming metal of his teeth, the blue glow of his eyes and his voice came out. THey had a giant metal dinosaur that led the jedi's walker division here for the fun of it. "Grandmaster welcome is the little one going to compete." His voice came out of the lips and it looked awkward but it was perfect when she spoke. "No, She and I are going to explore the expo and I am going to leave you in charge here. Explain to the judges or when Chi Chuchi Chi Chuchi if she comes around the ship or anything. I will be able to be contacted and arrive quickly." She said it and he looked at them with a nod.

"Understood, I was about to explain the rules of Gonki racing and bustin to the kids." He said it with a nod as she looked at Hanae and was hovering off towards the rest of the expo. THe high marshals voice coming over with a look. "Now the first step will be to hold on as tight as you can. THe goal is eight seconds and these will only be going at a brisk pace but if you are not careful you can still get hurt." He was speaking and the ultimate goal of being there and holding on meant prizes and candy. Matsu turned to look and she saw no real jedi in the force that she knew aside from Casaana Casaana but she had a chance to explore as she was floating the child in her arms was looking at everything.

Though he had planned to contribute to the line of Starships on display across the Exhibition today, Dashiell Retrofit™ hadn't managed to meet the deadline. There was something to be said of living two very complex lifestyles, trying to wrangle them inside of a single human existence, yet he wasn't too disappointed.

Despite his absence from the exhibition, he managed to secure a new contract with the High Republic and began opening the door to consistent business dealings with Alban Roble Alban Roble of Roble Manufacturing™. The new Heavy Destroyer manufacturing line had been set into operation, and Mahina Shipyards were now running smoothly since he had assumed new ownership.

Theed City, and by extension Naboo itself, were beautifully on display for people from all corners of the Galaxy, an extraordinary showcase of natural life, architecture, and corporate enterprise, creating quite the bustling atmosphere as Balun Dashiell wandered, his gaze sweeping from one booth to the next, and all persons in between.

People were happy; there was a real sense of peace here and of growth as a society. Here, today, the Galaxy almost felt civilised and stable. That, Balun believed, was a rare thing in his line of work, and respectful of the influence of the High Republic that he had come to love, back when it was still known as the Royal Naboo Republic, witness to its expansion and change over the years.

There was no objective for today, no purchase that had yet taken his eye, though he was not for want of credits. The Dashiell's were a wealthy and prominent family in the Galaxy, and Balun had been blessed to be a member of such a wonderful family. Today, however, he simply roamed. He was happy to let come whatever may, to see where the sights and sounds of the crowd might take him. The Force swept across the plateau of life and laughter, cheer and liveliness, and he simply smiled to himself, pleased to take it all in.

Chi's face relaxed from its usual mask of polite cheer as she listened to Makai talk about his day. She wanted to lean on the bar and maybe put her head down, but that wouldn't do at all, and she instead kept the upright and elegant posture that had been drilled into her ever since childhood. "I like kids in small doses, but never felt the need to have my own. The whole process just seems... undignified to me. The toddler phase also sounds like a nightmare." Chi admitted before taking a sip of her wine. The gentle fruit flavors washed over her tongue as she swallowed the lightly sweet drink, and she made a small noise of pleasure. The excellence of the wine didn't need commenting on, the two of them had already consumed bottles worth of the stuff while choosing and creating the vintage, everything of value had already been said. "This is a nice break though."

"And yes, the Boutique can deliver the bed. But if you're going to meander around a bit, take a look at the ships on display and tell me what you think? I have an eye on one or two, but as a dabbler in design myself, I'm worried I'm being a bit overcritical towards the others."
She wouldn't say which if Makai agreed as she didn't want to influence him.

Makai Dashiell Makai Dashiell
