His brief time as Interim High Chancellor of the Republic ended with his removal, leaving him disillusioned with galactic politics and more focused on Naboo's interests. Their estates on Naboo began producing again, and their off-world holdings expanded into shipping and resource markets. Over time, they regained a place among Theed's elite.
Aurelian was born into that restored reputation. He was raised between Theed's formal court life and Parrlay's political circles, trained from an early age to navigate influence and perception. At the Theed Royal Academy, he studied diplomacy and rhetoric, but he was never content to stay in academic spaces. At sixteen, he joined the Royal Naboo Defense Force, where his charisma and unconventional leadership quickly set him apart. By the time he reached the rank of Major at the Keren Royal Defense Complex, his father, Remus Veruna, called him back to begin his role in governance.
His shift into politics came naturally. When Plooriod III sought entry into the High Republic, House Veruna was tasked with managing the transition. When the former Queen rose to the Chancellery as the Republic expanded, Naboo needed a new sovereign. With Sibylla's surprising backing, Aurelian entered the race against Bastila Sal-Soren and emerged victorious despite controversy. He was crowned King Aurelian Veruna II, carrying both the weight of his family's history and the expectations of a restored monarchy.
His reign quickly expanded beyond Naboo. After the Chancellor's kidnapping, Aurelian was named Interim High Chancellor of the Republic. That chapter ended abruptly. Aurelian was pushed out of the interim chancellorship and returned to the throne of Naboo, disillusioned with the Republic's political machinery.
