HISTORY
Millennia ago, after the Cathar were nearly wiped out during the Mandalorian Wars, some tribes of exiles found the planet Kashyyyk and its Wookiee inhabitants had much in common with themselves. By the time of the Galactic Civil War, most all Cathar had returned to their homeworld. But the tribe on Kashyyyk had become so ingrained with the planet and integrated with the Wookiees, that they chose to remain. Nearly another millennium later, Taam was born into this tribe.
The tribe had held faithfully to most Cathar traditions, which had been passed from one generation to the next. Many Wookiee practices were also adopted by the tribe. It was this connection to the Wookiees, and their connection to the Jedi, that lead to the discovery of a very young Cathar shaman apprentice that showed a strong connection with the Force. Taam was taken to the Jedi Temple at Coruscant for training.
As a padawan, Taam proved very teachable, determined and talented. As he approached adulthood, he was controversially allowed to return home to participate in a Cathar rite of passage for a warrior known as the Blood Hunt.
He rose through his training admirably, and attained the rank of Knight. Taam then took on a padawan by the name of Kalisha Watu, a promising Atrisian apprentice. Kalisa and Taam became an admirable team, the capable padawan as fierce as her master. When the Hyperspace Wars erupte, Taam and Kalisha were not exempt from involvement. Known for their prowess in combat, their stellar reputation placed them in the hot spots on the battlefield. During one fateful battle, Kalisha and Taam became separated in the fight. With a swarm of enemy between them, Taam was unable to reach her, and he watched his padawan fall before a horde of enemies. Taam was devastated at the loss of Kalisa, and could not escape the guilt of the tragedy.
The devastating loss shook his being to the core. In a difficult decision reluctantly approved by the Council, Taam left regular service to the Temple to Wander, with the caveat that he remain under the authority of the Order on Coruscant.
Three years later, Taam felt the tug to return from his wanderings. After a pivotal visit to Ahch-To and the jadeites there, Taam found reconciliation with his own conscience and returned to the NJO fold. -
Notable Practical Skills: Taam returned to Kashyyk many times after joining the jedi to hone his Cathar and his Wookiee neighbors native skills. Wood carving, mechanical repair, hunting, tree climbing, and playing the seven=stringed halikset among them. Taam is also a capable pilot.NOTABLE SKILLS

Strengths
Cathar Physiology: Taam's sense of smell and sight are heightened compare to humans. His species have a natural aptitude for physical power and agility and Taam possesses great strength and quickness. Each hand and foot also possess large, razor-sharp retractable claws that can be lethal in close combat. He also possesses the natural hunting instinct of his kind.Neutral
Moral Compass: Influenced by both Cathar and Wookiee ideologies, Taam has a strong drive to do what is right and oppose what is wrong (by the standards of those two cultures). Loyalty is also a very strong virtue that he cannot deny. This is typically a strength, but when ideology and loyalty conflict, it can prove hard dilemma.

Past Failures: The death of his padawan, being defeated by a Master of Ren, and end of his relationship with his mate

Mild Agoraphobia: Taam suffers from a mild form of agoraphobia that manifests in an annoying unease in large metropolitan areas. Cities put him on edge and agitate him, leaving him distracted by a strong desire to leave.

Taam's training in the Force began even before his discovery by the Jedi. As a very young apprentice to the tribal shaman, he learned how to connect with the Force.THE FORCE
This helped him to progress swiftly as a padawan, and he became powerful in the Force. As a Wanderer, Taam reserved the use of the Force to necessities, and continues to remain reserved when employing the Force openly publicly.

- From the time he knew he would return to his home to undergo the Cathar ritual of the Blood Hunt as a teenager, Taam practiced this discipline to prepare himself for the intense fighting the rite would require. As a lone wanderer, It was also a boon while taking on gangs, pirates and other situations in which he faced multiple foes

Another Blow and Another Restoration
During the Battle of Tython, Taam suffers humiliating defeat at the hands of Detritus Ren as Jonyna looked on. The failure was humiliating. The psychological impact was devastating, leaving Taam feeling unworthy of his mate's love. Taam left her, again wandering for months before returning to make amends with Jonyna, and then with the Order through Valery Noble.
