Private Spirited Away

Feng was nervous, excited, apprehensive and as always just generally anxious. She was finally on a mission with Connel! The man was a legend. Both in his own right and in his legacy. Not that Feng believed that just because you were a part of an impressive family, it automatically meant you were going to be impressive yourself.

Force knows Feng had no legacy to speak of. Except perhaps Master Wu which was legacy enough to her mind. It may not be among the most impressive warriors in the galaxy, but it was an honest way of the Jedi to grow from.

The only problem was Feng was fairly certain she had outgrown it. Master Wu had done his best, but their paths were just too different. Feng had been eager to explore other paths that the Jedi Order offered. Whether it be Shadow training, missions with Aiden Porte Aiden Porte or sparring with @Balun Dashiel. Feng was exploring her options, getting the confidence needed as she got closer to her trials.

Feng had only just recently come to the conclusion that she didn't have to have her entire life figured out by the time of her trials. She could become a knight and see where life's journeys took her. So far she had been tempted by the Jedi Temple Guard as one of those options. She was also fairly certain that she needed her own ship. Hopefully something with a bit of room and harmony to it. So when she travelled saw the galaxy, helped those she could, her ship could be her home.

Right now though they were on a mission Order intelligence suggested there had been a number of missing persons recently from the planet Hosnian Prime. Just half a dozen. All Near-Humans. Feng supposed the culprits thought that if they picked their targets piece meal they could get away with it. The only reason the Jedi Orders Intelligence had picked up on the discrepancy is one of the missing's family members had known a Jedi. That Jedi had been sent and gone missing himself.

After that the planet had upped their security protocols for all traffic going in and out of the planet. So it was a reasonable bet that the wretches who were doing this were still on planet. That wouldn't last forever. Security protocols meant delays, it meant much needed supplies, medicine, fuel, food, trade was held up at ports causing irate commuters. Which led to powerful pressure on the local powers to end the heightened security. If the people weren't found soon the planets governance would simply say they must have gone off world already before the lock down began. All they had to do was wait.

It was a race. Not the kind Feng enjoyed. This one had lives on the line. She studied the mission briefing once again. All near humans, all in the prime of their life, all in decent shape, several had been athletes of some sort or another. Whoever was hunting them he was picking his targets carefully. Maybe he was just a slaver? Selling a premium for exotic looking near humans to some sleemo crime lord.

Feng shook her head in a frown. It felt wrong. She was missing something. Feng growled in frustration, got up to join Connel in the cockpit. They were on approach to Hosnian Prime now. Feng bit her lip searching for something to say, she could be a bit of a chatter box.

"Uhm, should I have offered to take a spell at the helm? I didn't want to presume you liked others handling your ship." Feng asked awkwardly shyly.
