Southern Systems Business Bazaar Expo [ open to all ]

@[member="Selka Ventus"] @[member="Alisha'ven"]

Ayden stood in front of a very large booth for the Corellian Engineering Corporation. They had shelled out a considerable sum for large booth space, but then again they could certanly afford the expense. While other agents swept across the booth floor, taking in those who passed by and regaled them with colorful accounts of the things people had done and accomplished with products from CEC. His personal favorite was the man who won the heart of a Zeltron princess by flying through the Maw system at break neck speed and ended up causing a stellar nursery to explode, forming a new star which he named after her.

Beside him was his faithful companion, a Corellian Ropo. It's large eyes looked every which way while its large slobbering tongue caused many a passerby to pause and fawn over the adorable creature. Ayden, for his part, let the little critter enjoy itself while he dealt with the first big customer of the day. Finding out that Silk Holdings was putting in an order for twenty-five Ro-class stations was certainly enough to put a smile on his face. He worked out the arrangements, discussed time tables, and sealed the deal having helped make Corellian Engineering that much more successful. When he had first lobbied with the other board members to test the water on such large-scale products like trade stations, many had initially balked. However, they had come around after the success of the Ro-class, and any doubt would be sealed after this expo.

But if Ayden was pleased with himself before, he was going to be downright stunned after reading the order from Arceneau. Another twenty-five Ro-class stations. Forty MR-125 blockade runners. Five Myriad-class corvettes. Ten Panther-class shuttles. Ten YGX-2350s. One hundred HBD-300 droids. This was every salesman's wetdream order. However, as one could only expect of someone in his position, Ayden kept his composure and let his face betray nothing. Looking the blue Twi'lek over, Ayden smiled as he went over the list with her. "This is certainly a tall order. We shouldn't have any trouble delivering the ships and droids within the week. Obviously the stations will take a bit more time, but I'm confident we'll get them sorted and delivered in time to meet any deadlines Miss Arcenaeu has."

As he handed the pad back with an electronic receipt, Alisha'ven would find that one Aa'kua landspeeder had been put into the order, yet no charge had been made. A short while later and a simple note would arrive in Danger Arcenaeu's inbox that read 'Pleasure doing business with you.'

BOOTH #1016
Company: No Name
Description: Not Available

Patches wasn't going to miss such an event, with many of the galaxies most powerful companies and people in attendance. A great networking opportunity lay before him, and if he did so properly, he would be living with many new contacts and leads to follow up on at another time.

At the back corner of the tradeshow, just next to the refresher stations, sat a lone, simple 10 x 10 booth. While many vendors preferred pretty lights, running graphics, holovids and "booth babes" to draw attention to their wares, Patches took a much, much more subtle approach.

The banners bore no markings nor branding, and made no mention of a company or product. The only markings was a single sign that said "Booth #1016", and if one were to look in the product guide, no description nor company title was listed in the guide; just a "Booth #1016" marking it on the map.

At that booth, passerby would find unassuming Jonathon Patches sitting at one of the two chairs, with the other unoccupied on the other side of a small, unimpressive table. He preferred to take a different approach than most; he wouldn't holler at passerby to see his wares, nor offer free samples.

No, Jonathon Patches, with a simple nametag that read "Davin", would simply wait for the people to come to him; afterall, this would be an evening of many booths to wander, foods and drinks to be consumed, and at one point or another, almost everyone in attendance would be visiting the refresher stations. The very same refresher station that one couldn't get to, without passing by Booth #1016.

'Oh man would you look at her.' He thought as he watched he slip on some gauntlets. 'Play it cool Gav.'

He walked up with a smile. He liked the tough women. He would connect-disconnect with the ladies but it took guts to make his hyperdrive jump. He looked at the gauntlets from the side and nodded.

"Nice gauntlets." He said with a nod, "maybe you should tell me about them over drinks."

In Umbris Potestas Est
Subach-Innes.

Though at one point devastated by the chaos the CIS had caused the company, they still had a booth lined up. On the booth's table was a holoprojector which quickly shifted through various Subach products, flanked by two Ke-Ni Snuggle Buddies, eager to be snuggled and cuddled by anyone nearby. The man(or was it a woman?) manning the table wore a brand new SIA-C v2.0 construction exoskeleton, a perfect piece of equipment for sale. All Subach products were currently for sale. Factories didn't have their land purchased themselves.

One Arceneau Rep sashayed himself down over towards Silk's booth. What was it with Arceneau Representatives being all kinds of curvy with that signature drawl? This time, it was a petite blonde woman with vibrant blue eyes and a winning smile.

"Howdy there," she said with a light coo, pearly white teeth shining and her expression bright. For those lucky few, they would know her as Saffron, an elite Companion for the Oirian House down at Ryloth.

"Now I've a list Miz Arceneau wants me to check off," she was one of clones Danger had saved some time ago on Geonosis. "Reckon you can help lil ol' me with that?" she asked sweetly, the black fishnet veil barely covering the upper half of her face, while her cinched in dark blue corseted dress did wonders for that lovely figure of hers.

'Course a good look might have you looking at shock at a woman who was mighty eerily similar to the Queen of Eshan.

She held out a small datapad, in it was a list for an order of five HALCYON Space Trains Danger was gonna use for the planets she mined fuel out of.

Along with a curious question as to just what would it take to acquire one Connestoga-class Heavy Freighter... It said it was only for major government contracts, but lawdy, would having one of those be mighty sweet for a Freighter business such as ATC.

ARCENEAU TRADE COMPANY BOOTH

It was a modest booth, but considering the bulk of Tatooine's spaceports were under Danger's care, one didn't need much.

Noire, a kiffar companion with scarlet clan tattoos over her eye gave a soft cordial smile.

She would be aiding the associates in terms of keeping a hospitable environment for any prospective clients seeking the freighting, trade, or fueling services of ATC.

Alli Wren smiled and looked over her sales asscioates and the booth. It was a beautiful thing. She had models and examples and holofeeds of all her products in mind. There were lines of civilian droids, and various other civialn products like replicas of jedi robes and belts and special plushies sold by Sasori. Alli wondered if anyone wanted anything as they also had under water and on land mining equipment and access to cortosis.

A streak of yellow cut through the crowd. A small number of persons walked in single file, wearing yellow, metallic masks similar in appearance to a jawless skull along with their black, hooded bodygloves. Parting the multitude as they went, one could see the yellow fabric skillfully assembled to look like a skull with it's jaw partially agape. The insignia of the extremely large, but low-key organization Abrogation Inc. Xanthanatos? He was sitting behind his desk, checking off fulfilled contracts on his target list on a wide holo-screen. He never did any errands of this kind himself. He was the mercenary and his workers the suppliers.
They didn't waste any time. They had already been given instructions on where each booth would be and, of course, what to buy from them. They split up, one went up to the sharply dressed Echanti, @[member=Tyri Lsu] and requested .45 caliber slugs of every available kind in bulk. One went to Akure Executive Leatherworks (@[member=Rave Merrill]) and requested Terentattack Cuffs in bulk, and one crept over to booth #23 to request the XR-01 Thermal Detonators of @[member=Alli Wren] in bulk.

Still others walked about, purchasing other things. Perhaps they were the only ones there strictly on business.

First there was silence. Then the bright shining glare of a red cybernetic eyepatch scanning over the man with a not too friendly laser. A small tug of her gauntlets, and she was done. At the very least, the cheery part of her faded as her stoic expression returned.

"No." came her curt reply, as she began to walk around the man -- as she had every intention of going to the Czerka Arm booth.

Time to buy some slugs!

...ten credits was well worth the price of admission. He'd followed details he'd heard about the South Systems Bazaar having planned to hold this for some time now and from the time he'd arrived the Expo had not disappointed him. Ordan had listened to Danger Arceneau make her speech at the opening of the Expo and was amongst those in attendance who applauded her announcements. He appreciated her obvious business acumen as well as everything else that she brought to the table; it must have taken a lot of careful planning to arrange for all of this but it had drawn a crowd and would likely turn a profit for everyone involved. When the speech that Danger had given, welcoming everyone to the Expo, had concluded he would have wandered away so that he could browse the different booths and merchandise...

...Ordan would visit several other booths, mingling with others who had come to the Expo, before he approached the Czerka Arms booth. He was dressed down, not appearing much like a businessman and more like fringer, in comfortable clothing which boasted a worn exterior that indicated he'd owned it for some time. Looking ahead the man focused on the crates of ammunition and the weaponry on display rather than Tyri Lsu initially, he'd recognized the Assassin Droids as well, scanning for something that caught his attention before he moved closer and let his gaze drift to the man representing the booth...
"Why don't tell me more about your CZ Light machinegun?"...he could have just browsed the specifications but Ordan liked the personal touch a salesman could add to the pitch and besides that..."Slugthrower technology has been around for a thousand years. Tell me why I want your gun instead of a blaster."...then he'd wait to hear the mans pitch...

...aside from this visit to the Czerka Arms booth Ordan also kept himself aware of his surroundings including who was in his vicinity; he wouldn't miss a chance to rub shoulders with the hostess if the opportunity arose. At the moment he was a man without allegiances and a bit of a checkered past but maybe, just maybe, he could make himself useful in the South Systems again.

The people of Silk Holdings sent to the Koensayr Manufacturing booth would be very happy to find that the Isumaru ships were selling for c180 thousand instead of their usual c205k. A small discount compared to some that were on offer but it would save them two-and-a-half million today as the boisterous booth babe was eager to share as he swept them up in a bone-crunching hug. Afterwords he was quick to take down their order for the fuel ships and tugs, verify it with the silk offices considering the sheer bulk of the order, and answer any lingering questions the Silks had.

Things had been going well enough in recent times that Domino felt comfortable with investing in her 'alternate income' areas. Goddess knew that her TL people had been more than understanding throughout her leadership of the Suns and subsequent retirement and voluntary exodus to Vaynai. Now it was time to pay them back for their loyalty and maybe pick some new toys up for a community or two.

Some people were just insane, shaking her head over the only sane conclusion she could come to after witnessing the prices in the latest auction, Domino left the bidding auditorium for the showroom floor. Heck, she'd almost questioned her own sanity for bidding as much as she had on a fighter, at least that had solid evidence of value behind it. Wandering the show room until she came to one of the booths she was interested in, the Tenloss corporation. They acted sort-of like she had with Koensayr and the Black Suns but for the Hutt Cartel, just not as... well they lacked a certain finesse. 'Trust in the rust' could be their motto if you trusted them.

"Enjoying yourself Mr. Popo?" She asked the Hutt there in his native language. The women surrounding him barely received a glance from their fellow Twi'lek. They were eye candy she'd grown all too used to seeing over the years.

@[member="Captain Larraq"]

"Captain Rygel Larraq.." Alen Na'Varro, controlling interest behind Invictus Aeronautics, approached the Mandalorian CEO's booth with a wide smile. "Good to see you again. Alen Na'Varro, formerly of Auron Helix."

Na'Varro held out his hand to shake. He had spoken to the Mando over holo before but had never met him in the flesh. This was now a rapidly changing truth. They had done good and honest business before, now Alen hoped to do the same thing again. Invictus and Mandal Hypernautics were not direct competitors yet, though he had heard that Larraq was aiming to expand into Fringe space. The rumours, however, may have been unsubstantiated. Regardless, Na'Varro and Larraq were not operating in the same areas, and in the case that they were, they were not areas of high competition. He felt that he and Larraq could do business, and was prepared to drop a lot of credits.

"I'm interested in your Ogre II and AT-MP models ... in bulk."

Rygel Larraq smiled in earnest at the man as he shook his hand. "Good to see you in the flesh. Strait to the point I see." Larraq said with a bit of a chuckle. Auron Helix had yet to earn him any revenue yet, but he would soon be taking endeavors to move the company to Ord Cestus where it could be made better use of. Apparently, the planet was crawling in hundreds of species of fungus that had a near limitless potential in medicine and he could think of no better opportunity for capitalism than in the medical field.

"They are fine models" Larraq said to @[member="Alen Na'Varro"] as he offered the man a drink. "To be honest, I'm still surprised that neither of the two has yet to see much use outside of Mandalorian borders." Larraq said as he sipped at his drink and pulled out a datapad. Setting his drink on the booth next to him, Larraq asked "What kind of numbers are you looking at? And have you considered your cargo and transportation needs yet? We also offer a rather cheap loader droid and cargo shuttle that are designed to work with teams of Ogre II's and AT-MP's."

@[member="Captain Larraq"]

"You'll excuse my haste, Larraq, I only don't want to take too much of your time." Alen smiled genially and accepted the drink willingly. Larraq knew how to do business. Friendly, polite and accommodating, that was the way it should be done. The Mando understood that. Sipping his own drink, Alen set it down and whipped out his datapad as well. They'd be getting to some serious business. "Yeah, fine models, not without their quirks but they're cheap, they work well, and they don't break easily. Exactly what I'm looking for."

Alen took another sip of his drink and placed it back on the booth.

"Transportation and cargo I can handle. I might be interested in those loader droids, though." Na'Varro viewed the specifics on his datapad, frowning as he did so. "Looks like they'll suit me well enough. I'll be needing ... I'll be needing a lot of them."

Alen cleared his throat. He had gone through the specifics of each droid and knew their strengths and weaknesses well enough. Na'Varro knew Larraq well enough that he didn't need to haggle that hard. The Mando would appreciate the size of his order.

"I'll need one thousand units of the Ogre IIs, one thousand units of the loader droids and sixty units of the AT-MPs." Na'Varro's eyes watched Larraq. "If they work well for me, I'll be needing more. We can do serious business here, Larraq."

Larraq thought for a moment before typing the numbers into his datapad. The mining platforms alone would come out at just over four and a half million credits. The rest of the order would come out at nearly seven million. Together the order would come in at over eleven million credits at standard market value. However, the whole point of this marketplace was to purchase products at discount prices. Somehow, for fairness sake and to help bring in more customers, he had to offer @[member="Alen Na'Varro"] a better deal.

Larraq shot back the rest of his drink before crunching a 15% discount into the numbers staring at him on the datapad. At a loss of over a million and a half credits, a number glared back at him. 9,657,700 credits. <Ah, what the hell.> Thought Larraq to himself.

"Lets call it an even nine and a half million." Larraq said to @[member="Alen Na'Varro"] with a smile. "It's a little better than fifteen percent off and should help you get what you need. I'll even throw in a free Shantual-class Cargo Shuttle. See if I can change your mind on future purchases."

Not wanting to leave the Salacia Consolidated booth, Judah decided to do his orders via holotransmission. Wasn't as nearly as fun as walking around and checking out the sights, but perhaps he could sneak away later on. Akure Executive Leatherworks was first on his list, headed up by one @[member="Rave Merrill"] . Idly, Judah wondered if the woman was related to one Jorus Merrill. It was a large universe though, no one was quite unique in terms of naming.

"Greetings" The holotransmission shimmered just slightly as it adjusted. "I'm seeking enough dathomir lizard skin leather to upholster four standard starfighter pilots chairs. Essentially, just the front and the small side strips. Preferably the leather will be some of the most vibrant and deepest green, with the scale pattern still visible. I am well aware this request is unusual and you won't have such hides on you at this expo. Price is no object in this, I just need to know if you can do it."

"I usually get to jink and juke before getting shot down." He said as she moved passed.

He smiled and shook his head before heading to @[member="Rave Merrill"]'s booth. At least it was a name he knew. He did like his toys more than he liked credits.

Aedan Miles strode through out the bazaar wearing a loose flowing shirt that was a dark crimson color and a pair of black pants. As he moved through the large bazaar he kept his eyes open to see if he could spot anyone he knew. As he wandered he caught sight of a familiar business partner and the young man wandered over to the Baktoid booth and looked around calmly his violet eyes gleaming as he smirked. "So Miss Wren what do you have here today that I may be interested in?" @[member="Alli Wren"]

With that, Skye went over to the Czerka Arms booth , where she made a large purchase of several crates worth of (BASIC, VENOM, FLARE, BANG, and SHOCK slugs).

She also bought a ZX Miniature Flame Projector for herself and @Trisana Raine. After that she headed off towards @[member="Popo"] 's Tenloss Corps booth. After a moment of studying her options, she made her selection.

"I'll take one order of the Enforcer armor and helm." It would prove to be beneficial to have it just in case.
