Southern Systems Business Bazaar Expo [ open to all ]

giphy.gif

Hello boys...." there came a slight chuckle as the woman flicked a lock of red hair away from her face. A few appreciative whistles cut the air.

" Haha....Momma always told me that if you want something done, you gotta do it yourself. Can’t depend on no other darn fool to do right what you can do yourself. And being an entrepreneuring woman like myself, I set out to make sure Arceneau Trade does the best of the best.

Momma, may she rest in peace, didn’t raise nobody’s fool.
There was a chuckle from the large crowd, as the vibrant, sultry, and ever boisterous Danger Arceneau’s holographic image bedecked in a figure hugging blue dress played across every holographic emitter and sign,

Going on almost over fifteen years that Danger Arceneau took control of Arceneau Trade from her daddy’s dead fingers and made it into a tier five company that it is today.

But Danger had plans. Bigger plans. Plans that would make Arceneau a house name for the entire Galaxy and beyond. She was the ambitious sort, and come the Nine Hells or high water, she was gonna get her due.

So for this very reason, I’ve worked hard to bring the best quality products you can find. Throughout the years I’ve met many, many wonderful and brilliant sentients who create magnificent products that by golly you should be able get without having to fuss with going halfway across the galaxy for!

For this very reason, I created the Southern Systems Business bazaar! Bringing the convenience and the peace of mind of having the buying power right in your hands with the click of a button or a shake of a hand.

A loud roar of approval and cheers erupted from the crowd, brilliant lights flashing over the voluptuous President of Arceneau Trade and head of the Southern Systems Business Bazaar.

No expense was spared in the planning of this event. Contracts with the new Mandalorian brewery for their ale and the tried and true Whyren’s from the Corellian system ensured that there would be plenty of liquor flowing so that the Expo patron’s credit chips within easy access. IronChief Catering as well as other local ventures that catered to the more upscale pallate provided an expansive buffet for anyone wanting to sate their tastebuds, fingerfoods delighting one and all, ensuring that folk were kept mobile so that they would be able to go from holobooth to holobooth at their leisure.

For those that were not going to be there in person, Danger ensured that the best holo-network slicers and technicians were on standby to provide a seamless holo-graphic browsing and buying experience.

Ain’t no expense spared, not with it being the first Semi-Annual Expo of the Southern Systems Business Bazaar.

A hand went waving coyly at the crowd, attempting to settle them down as Danger shined them all with that familiar trademark grin.

Here the elite of the elite, as well as your local mom and pop companies rubbed elbows to sell out last years inventory and showcase the new galactic year’s arrivals. Looking to get a discount on something you’ve had your eye on the past year? Well here is the time to get more bang for your credit chip.

Top dogs like Corellian Engineering, Santhe and Sienar, Silk Holdings, Koensayer Manufacturing, Czerka Arms, Blastech, Salacia Consolidated, and MandoMotors were here to present their goods with iconic flair. Smaller up and coming businesses like Hekler’Kok Defense and Akure Executive Leatherworks were not shy at also presenting their products, with Miz Rave Merrill stalking enough exotic and rare finds you won’t be able to find anywhere else in the galaxy.

Here, the consumer is connected directly to the company -- speaking straight to one of their associates to help a client get exactly what they want, how they want it, and for the right price.

Hoots and hollers went roaring after this comment, Miz Arceneau flashing a brilliant smile at the crowd as flashes of lights and holonews droids recorded the event live.

So with that, my darlin’s, I welcome you to the first Semi-Annual Southern Systems Business Expo and Auction!

More cheers erupted in the vast market place area set out within one of the massive warehouses build by Arceneau. Air conditioning would ensure that the temperature was kept nice and cool, with plenty of water also set out for anyone wanting to hydrate themselves. Booths upon booths from several businesses lined up and down the warehouse, with the main spaceport taken over for anyone wanting to show off their goods in a more tactile manner.

Danger also set aside special firing ranges for anyone wanting to conduct sample test firings of weapon systems and aircraft.

Ain’t nuthin like this of this expanse ever been heard of since the four-hundred year darkness.

And it was only the beginning.

"Sweet surrender" Gavin said as he shook his head. "That is one gorgeously built set of...laser cannons."

He took a sip from his flask and pit it back in his pocket. He was here to find some new weapons and gear, but also he had heard stories about the hostess and was glad to see they had been a pale comparison to the real deal.

He walked along heading for the booths and hoped he would find something worth his credits and his time, but then it only cost ten credits to come in and Danger was at least a class 2 hyperdrive on the Gavin scale.

"I'll start with blasters I guess." He said as he smiled a a random woman and winked. "Or maybe you hi."

Silk's purchasing agents fanned out. Immediately.

Representatives of Reardon Metalworks, Silk's mining subsidiary, went straight to @[member="Judah Dashiell"] with Salacia and made an offer for the Takaroa-class mining facility blueprints at 10% above market value - 15% above the discounted rate.

High-powered Silk rep came to CEC's booth armed with a set of very specific needs. @[member="Ayden Cater"] might be pleased to note that Silk aimed to purchase Ro-class Trade Stations - twenty-five of them.

@[member="Domino"]'s people at the Koensayr booth would find Silk interested in the proven excellent of the Isumaru refuelling ship and the Orzo tug, a hundred of each.

At this particular point in time, Silk had more purchasing power than any corporation in the galaxy, and they knew the roads must roll.

Skye Mertaal had a very specific kind of need; and with her kind of line of work, she knew there were some instances where one had to pay a pretty penny to get the tools of the trade that would make her job a lot easier.

Which is why she soon found herself standing in front of Akure Executive leatherworks booth, heavy trench coat over the Mandalorian armor and a wide brim hat tucked low over her forehead, streams of black hair falling down to midback. At this vantage point, one could really only see about the lower half of her face, but that was fine, cept once she tipped her head back and the cherry glow of the cybernetic eyepatch went scanning over @[member="Rave Merrill"] 's associate.

"Looking for some TerentAttack cuffs to buy," she said with a scratchy voice, "Ten of 'em."

Rygel Larraq could not hide his displeasure when he heard MandalMotors announced and Mandal Hypernautics glossed over. The fabric of his glove bit into his hand as he clenched his fist at his side and knocked back a shot of whiskey with the other. Larraq may not be a fan of leaving Mandalorian space, but he recognized the opportunity that this expo offered and quickly organized a small convoy of Mandal Hypernautics products to be shipped to the location. He had been told that he had secured a spot quickly enough to get his name on the opening docket, but the representative had obviously been wrong.

A second shot of whiskey soon followed the first as Larraq smiled politely at the crowd and returned to the Mandal Hypernautics booth. His company had a wide range of products and services to offer. Some were listed publicly, others would only be known to those who deserved such things.

All the same. He was here to make deals and build his revenue.

Merrill's associate was a big Whiphid from Laekia, a career leatherworker with ties to haute couture and, among other things, the high-end boot market.

"Of course," the Whiphid rumbled, unfolding a cardboard box of high quality. Ten sets of Force-immune, durasteel-cable-core handcuffs fit in tidily. "Can I direct your attention to our spring line's bracers? Several sets will be auctioned off later, but for an order of this size, I can give you exclusive access to a pair of bracers made from the hide of a Leviathan of Corbos." He named a very reasonable figure for the bracers. "We've subcontracted to another firm to create a proprietary current sink, inside the leather over the knuckles. Electrical current, including metaphysically produced electric current, is absorbed, controlled, and released on impact. Can be worn over a shirt or underlay, or beneath a long coat."

Alisha'ven

Arceneau Trade Company
Annnnnnnnnd it was ON!

With a smirk and a datapad full of instructions, Alisha'ven, right hand woman of Arceneau Trade was off. The Rutian Twi'lek sashayed her way on over to deal with CEC, looking to talk business with @[member="Ayden Cater"] about grabbing an order of tradestations for an upcoming job by Mando space and around the Confederacy area, matching an order just like long time customer Silk with twenty five.

She also put in an order of 100 HBD-300 Series Droids, needing to gather a bit of security for ATC headquarters.

But the priciest of orders, dealt with ships for the freighter fleet. Forty MCR-125 Blockade Runners, five Myriad class corvettes, ten Panther class shuttles, and ten YGX-2350's ... that is if she'd be able to gather up the authorization to get them.

Oh yeah, she gave a small pause, because she couldn't for get this, one swaanky Aakua landspeeder -- for the boss.

It was a very pricey order, but one Arceneau could handle -- and then some.

HK-36

The Iron Lord Protector (Neutral Good)
"Wookiee-ookiees for sale!"
The electronic drawl of the droid resonated through the nearby section of the hall where the main Iron Chef Catering stand was set up.
"We also have caramel ropos on a stick, bantha steaks, pastries with mojo preserves, sauteed MRE's, Gummy Darth Voracitos Gulash, Crunchy Darth Apparatus Crisps, and bland Cira loaves! Their recipe and flavor is so well hidden that it resembles that of classified documents and mistrust!"
Aroma of the many dishes, both common and exotic, was filling the nearby area, HK opened one of the larger ovens, taking out a huge baking rack and placing it on the counter in order to let it cool, finally he was able to use that enhanced mechanic strength for something productive outside of battle.
He had helpers with him to help prepare the food, but they were all droids as well.

He had his usual armor on, however, this time he also had a large white Chef's Hat on his head, towering above the crowds, as well as a white apron with the logo of Iron Chef Company, a Chibi-Style HK cartoon holding a platter of steak with white lines of steam coming off of it and winking and the viewer.
"Food here! Come and get your favorite dishes here!"
He called out again.

Hopefully the droid would get lucky enough and @[member="Danger Arceneau"] would happen to stroll by his booth in order to inspect the services she hired. At least briefly.

@[member="Rave Merrill"]

Skye would have been happy with the purchase of the cuffs, but when the Whiphid revealed a doozy of a find.

The AEL Spring line Leviathan bracers.

Oh Stars, was the mental thought going through Skye's mind at that. Her hand reached out almost unconsciously, as if to brush her fingers across the supple leather.

Oh she shouldn't, she reallllly shouldn't.

Then again, it wasn't her money she was spending. But the Captain's.

At that thought she didn't hesitate, "I'll take them!" she said quickly, knowing that they would be put into good use. @[member="Jonathon Patches"] could just consider it a 'business' expense.

@[member="Selka Ventus"]

Having watched the opening ceremonies of the Expo, Judah made sure to make a quick dart back to his own booth. It was nice to hear Salacia Consolidated mentioned, and the mention alone was more than he could have dreamed for. Starting the company had been a way not to reenter military life, yet here he was, with the company taking on a life of its own.

Judah had made sure his crew wasted no expense on the booth. A holographic of the Takaroa mining facility floated near one corner, information rolled and displayed on the wall. Clean, sleek and modern in tones of white and stainless durasteel, Salacia was certainly trying to give an impression. Within, customers could personally try out the discounted O.R.B. Units or the Ladybug Sentries. Items such as the TOMAS Class droids were out for display only, showing off the innovations in recent months. SLV-R units demonstrated their ability to pick through rubble, with Salacia trying to market them more than merely a salvage droid.

Silk Holdings had arrived, a company that seemed to buy from Salacia frequently. Not that Judah was ever going to complain about the fact, Silk was one of the largest in the universe. Regular business meant the difference between being stuck in the Southern quadrant the rest of his life or expanding outward. Shaking the hand of the representative, Judah was more than happy to sell the Takaroa facilities to Silk. Although their offering of above market level gave him pause.

"Getting into underwater mining now? Exciting opportunities, Firemane and Salacia are the only two in the Galaxy who mine underwater. I personally welcome you into the fold. With such a generous offer, I'd be happy to send out my project management crew based on Ceto out to your location to get you underway, no extra charge."

@[member="Skye Mertaal"]

The Whiphid whuffled in professional delight. "Excellent, excellent. And since you've expressed such interest in our work, I should let you in on a secret. As we speak, Akure Executive Leatherworks is working on a project unlike anything we've done before." He finished packaging the order and leaned close over the table. "We normally work with the hide of the Leviathan, the tikulini and the terentatek, but we've recently acquired the means to work with even rarer and, if possible, even deadlier creatures whose hides have even more worthwhile properties. We have some truly special items to offer in the near future. I'd be happy to notify you when the spring line's next pieces are released."

@[member="Rave Merrill"]

Skye's head tipped in closer, her face hidden by the wide brim hat as the Whiphid leaned over to whisper her the news. There was suddenly as seemingly new twinkle in the singular grey eye, and even the cherry glow of her cybernetic patch turned just a little bit brighter.

With a rare smile ever seen upon the bounty hunter, she tipped her head appreciatively, taking her wares as she replied, "I'd be mighty grateful," she told him, proceeding to relay the comm frequency he'd be able to reach her at that she used for bounty contracts.

It was looking to be the start of the first ever fangirl of the Akure Executive Leatherwork company.

This... this is how Louis Vuitton must have felt when he first sold his first bag.

The Silk rep, a tidy Ithorian, burbled professionally. "Your expertise would be most welcome, Mr. Dashiell. We seek to build these facilities on Kyrikal Seventeen, and on Laekia. A pilot project of sorts, for our mining subsidiary, Reardon Metalworks."

@[member="Skye Mertaal"]
The well-groomed Whiphid took down her number quickly and professionally. "I'll contact you personally," he promised. "If you have any questions, at any point, my name is Anrakk. I'm always available on Laekia, at AEL headquarters. Thank you for your business, and I hope you find the bracers and the cuffs to your satisfaction."

@[member="Rave Merrill"]

With that, Skye tipped her hat in gratitude.

And then promptly began fangirling as she slipped off her armored gloves and slid her hands into the new bracers she bought.

Oh staaaaaaars! She thought to herself as she wiggled her fingers.

Worth every credit!

"Sanctum territory? I've found myself there recently, excellent choice." Judah hadn't explored too much through the territory and much was unknown. Yet he had found himself considering purchasing real estate in the area, too many unsavory characters had literally popped up in his backyard. " Salacia will be happy to assist in any way. I will personally make sure whatever you need to get this underway is provided."

Corey's OOC

And where were the spiders
It really was important to check out all the aspects of the galaxy, and the business world, wasn’t it? Sure, Marek wasn’t the best company manager, he did a little approval/denial, and mainly used his salary to pirchase new ships. Well, one was built to his specifications, the other, well that was just a throw back to his home world. It wasn’t like he was wasting all his money, plus he lived on the damned ships anyway. Made a bit of a compound in one of the personal ship hangars aboard The Tambor over around Kothlis.

Speaking of his ships, he did fly Dark Tide here, under droid escort. He liked to make sure people knew who he was. And when he wasn’t expressly working to make a contract for his company or the Techno Union. He could use this time as a fact finding, see what others were doing, militarily and otherwise. Besides, he was working with Haor Chall to try to bolster their civilian offerings. Escort droid starfighters.

Maybe someone had an airspeeder he could buy? He paid his entry fee, and making his way around the booths, and taking a look, sometimes quickly, sometimes longer, he was sipping on some of the champagne that was being passed around. What was the point of the money, and the little work he did for his company, if he wasn’t going to spend it? The trick was, to keep making himself useful, and keeping the Xi Char stay focused. Wait, what were those droids?

Garbed in a finely-tailored, three-piece suit, the Echani known as Tyri Lsu stood before his booth. In the fashion of a true arm's dealer, he wore a charismatic smile and awaited his first customer; ready and willing to charm and haggle to make the sale. He was flanked by his armaments: crates of ammunition, displays of firearms, and even a duo of HK-24 assassin droids! "Ladies and gentlemen!" he boldly proclaimed, "Czerka Arms is open for business! Come and indulge in some of the finest firearms in the Galaxy! They can outrange a blaster, blast through armor, fry a droid's circuits, and much much more! Limited time sale going on today!"

Noah Corek

Cocked, Locked and a Smoking Barrel
Factory Judge
"Dude, did you hear?" Ask a twi'lek to his human friend. "What?" The Human responded. "There's some Omega Pyre soldier over at the firing range,he's demonstrating a blaster rifle with a chainsaw!" The twi'lek said to him and motioned to follow him. Once they arrived, the human found that then twi'lek was indeed right, there in a kneeling posistion was Colonel Noah Corek, firing Hekler's newest blaster rifle, the Mark III Lancer. Designed to combat the Graug and their tough hide,Noah was making a good deal of money selling them in bulk to the Republic and in small numbers to the public. After finishing off a power cell,Noah loaded and new one and slung the rifle back onto the magnetic plates on the back of his armor and turned to see the crowd that had amassed to watch him shoot the crazy mix of chainsaw and rifle. "So,who wants one?" Noah called out to the crowd with a grin,to receive a chorus of cheers and applause.
