  • ----+ Space Warfare Officer: Its been a long-standing fact that a planet is only functionally yours if you can put boots on it. And while this is generally true, the lesser-known fact is you can only get and keep boots on it if you can control the orbit. From her background as a fighter pilot to now, Sola is well-versed in warfare in the vacuum whether on the scale of fighters or capital ships.

----+ Fighter Commander: Before she was shifted over from fighters to ship command, Sola had shown herself to be an incredibly skilled pilot. She still makes an effort to get flight time when duties and tasks allow for it, and she keeps herself versed on the proper deployment and implementation of fighters as part of a larger fleet action.

----+ By Land, by Air, by Vacuum: Even the best pilot has to embrace the possibility of being shot down or otherwise needing to make a crash-landing. Sola makes it a point to keep herself physically capable of holding her own in a firefight on the ground, and making sure that she's none too shabby with the blaster she keeps on her hip.

----+/- Force Sensitivity: While some might call being sensitive to the Force a boon, for Sola it has simply "been". She isn't so dumb as to think it can't have its uses - and as such has trained enough to competently use it in some of the more basic and traditional capacities - but she has no desire to join the Gray Cloaks or to expand upon her abilities beyond that.

----- Imposter's Syndrome: How much of what she's done was thanks to the Force? Was she such a competent fighter pilot because of skill and training, or because of some latent effect of her sensitivity? And how long before somebody steps forward with the irrefutable proof to show the world that everything she's done has been by a long series of flukes and chance? In her mind its the safer bet to follow those above her who seem to know what they're doing, and emulate them.

----- Might Makes Right: A loyal officer to the NIO. And more over, to the Armada. In her mind there is little, if anything, the Imperial Order could do wrong. They have the ships. They have the guns. Why would they do something wrong? Politics and interpolitical relations have never been her strong-suit. There's no need for them in the cockpit or on the bridge, after all.

  • Force Sensitivity: Yes, even though she may not try to draw attention to it.
Force Training: Yes, both in how to control it and in the application of some of the more "classic" uses.
Lightsaber Training: No. While able to swing one, she's never received formalized training.

  • Passionate. Driven. Professional.

From the time she was a young girl clinging to her father's leg as soon as he came in the door, some part of Sola dreamed of being a "space-girl". That was an energy she carried with her well in to her time attending Imperial officers academy, showing excellent marks to be a pilot, pursuing her training and licensing to the same, and finally graduating with top marks to go on and serve as a combat pilot in the Imperial military. She is driven as much by a desire to carry on a legacy and prestigious image, as she is by an at-times still child-like wonderment and love for her profession.

Its fair to say that people often have a preconception of fighter pilots as being reckless jocks with no control or respect to image. Sola is something of a middleground more towards the other pole. While she will always be a proponent of form beating function in most things - who cares if people think it looks good, if it does the job its supposed to? - she still has reservations in some areas. Her uniform is always well-pressed, her boots finely polished, and her ship is kept running in top shape as much as possible at all times. An Imperial officer is in some ways as much the appearance and cut of their uniform as they are the things they do on the field and in command, in her mind.

  • All in all, a fairly typical human woman.

She comes in at an average height and weight, kept well-maintained through military physical fitness programs and the rigors of her profession. She has dark skin that is relatively unmarred save for the lingering marks of shrapnel scarring on the right side of her abdomen. Her eyes are a golden-brown color - more the former than the latter in the right light - and her dark hair is often kept tugged back into either a short ponytail or a small bun that most often sits just under the back edge of an officer's cap.

Her typical dress is whats to be expected. The white coat of an Armada officer, with a blaster on a belt at her hips, and the whole of her uniform being well-polished and well-maintained as much out of a personal respect for it as out of some lingering idea that there are always people above her who might be inspecting and judging her at any given time. Of course there are the typical accessories one might expect, such as a chronometer or dark glasses depending on the environment and setting around her - though the watch, at least, is near-constant.

  • Living on Erebos can be like two wholly different worlds, depending on who you are.

Miles and miles of Catacombs played host to dark experiments on the dead and dying - so much so that its said one of the most common imports was and might well still be fresh corpses - and there are fighting pits still stained dark with slave-fighter blood. The working class were kept on low levels, underground for miles as far as you were willing to travel, and in packed-in conditions where they were encouraged to be docile and compliant with their overlords "for their own good".

But on the higher levels of the Grand Necroplis, life could be so much better.

The higher up you were, the better you were treated. An Imperial Navy officer and fighter ace of good standing could be expected to be treated well with the sorts of accommodations necessary to keep his wife comfortable and his only child well looked after. And such was the case for Rego Ordes and his wife, Agessa. The two were accomplished academics with respectable careers before they'd had their child, so Sola was born into a position of luxury and control over the masses that lived quite literally under her feet.

She aspired from a young age to be a military officer and serve in the Navy after all of the stories she heard from her parents.

Military service was similarly exemplary. She showed herself to be quite a capable pilot and would have been quickly sent in to such a role if her sensitivity to the Force wasn't detected like so many other people in the Empire. She refused to train to be one of the Sith and had to quickly flee to escape potential attacks or abuse by the Sith. It wouldn't be until a long time spent running and hiding that she would see the announcement of protest, that would draw her out to volunteer herself for the New Imperial Order's military as a pilot. And then, as skill and ability as a pilot and a squadron commander were demonstrated, she found herself being "volunteered" to shift to a commission in the Armada as a ship commander per order of her superiors.
