PHYSICAL INFORMATION
AfB2rWR.png
Age: Late Teens
Force Sensitivity: Inexperienced Knight
Species:
Yuuzhan Vong
Appearance: Saeza is a young Yuuzhan Vong with fairly petite frame covered in blueish grey skin with fairly attractive features. She stands about one hundred sixty five centimeters tall and weighs roughly fifty two kilograms, considered short and lean by the standards of her species. She has bright golden eyes with slit pupils like a feline surrounded by darker blue skin, which allow her to see very well in the dark. Her brow ridge and nose are noticeably smoother than most of her species, similar to a human’s, and she possesses slightly pointed ears. Saeza’s black hair is normally pulled back and tied into a pony-tail with her padawan braid.

Saeza has a number of reddish ceremonial Yuuzhan Vong-style tattoos she received in her youth that adorn her arms from the shoulder to the wrist, her thighs, back, and face. She also has several piercings, such as her ears, lower lip, and above her brow above her right eye, in which she wears simple gold rings, though originally they may have held more traditional Yuuzhan Vong jewelry. She files her claws down, though they were naturally shorter given her stature.

Saeza almost always wears variations of Old Republic Jedi Robes, tan or white colored overtunics, grey trousers and shirts, and reddish colored hooded robes over that in the traditional flowing style of the old Order. Sometimes, she will wear more casual attire such as simple spacer’s trousers and button-down shirts when appropriate or necessary. Often she is required to wear an Ooglith Masquer, which makes her look passable as a near-human, albeit with pointed ears like Sephi or Eldorai hybrid.

SOCIAL INFORMATION
Name: Saeza Bolok’Vang
Loyalties: The Resistance | The Jedi Remnant |
Laira Darkhold
Wealth: Saeza has very few personal belongings besides a few changes of clothes, and only has a handful of credits to her name. The Jedi Remnant provides her with paltry few funds, only really enough to eat and find basic supplies which are usually lumped in with Laira's stipend.

Notable Possessions: Saeza’s Lightsaber is crafted from Yorik Coral and makes use of a Lambent crystal, allowing her to use Vongsense, an alternate form of Force Sense. It features a bifurcating cyclical ignition, and dual-phase settings, emitting a yellow blade. She also carries Tsais Raugze, her Baton of Redemption who seconds as a pet of sorts, wearing a J1 Utility Belt, her classic Jedi Robes, over a set of MN-B Infiltrator armor. When entering into battles and heavy combat, she will wear a set of Clone Wars-aesthetic Type-I Jedi Armor and a SH-N Projection Helmet as part of her Jedi attire.

Skills: Saeza has very little field experience, but is fairly skilled and adept enough with the Force and Lightsaber styles to hold her own. The padawan is skilled with the basic Force techniques and applications of telekinesis, sensing others and danger around her, able to enhance her speed and reflexes, basic mind tricks and illusions, rudimentary telepathy, and Force Stun, among other simple abilities taught by the New Jedi Order. She specializes her Force abilities with Crucitorn and Control Pain, using them both offensively and defensively to alter the pain she or another feels from different wounds.

A strange aspect Saeza possesses, likely from the combination of her heritage and her Force-Sensitivity, is that she exhibits some traits similar to that of a Yammosk though on a much more limited scale. Like Onimi or Yammosk War Coordinators, she has the ability to control and communicate Yuuzhan Vong biots in a limited fashion. Usually she can only communicate telepathically with biots she is near or can see, and only control ones in close proximity or those she can physically touch. She can convince or influence an Yuuzhan Vong Biot in many ways, much like using Animal Bond but specific to the Yuuzhan Vong creatures, such as convincing them not to harm her or her friends, to sleep, sometimes to fight for or protect her and her friends. She cannot force them to harm themselves though, not only because it goes too far against their instincts, but also because she would never ask them to do that in the first place. Obviously Yammosk and Dhur’yam are far beyond her ability to control given their own telepathic abilities, extraordinary willpower, and vast intelligence. More intelligent biots generally require more of her concentration, assuming she is able to influence them at all. Unfortunately, this ability operates on a different wave-length than the Force, meaning she must close herself off from the Force in order to utilize this attribute. The transition isn't instantaneous and is uncomfortable for Saeza until she is either open to or closed off from the Force.

Saeza claims to specialize in Soresu in regards to Lightsaber combat, using a defensive style and wide blade Lightsaber. Additionally, she is a bookworm, with an excellent memory. Saeza enjoys reading and studying ancient texts, course books, and other normally bland material almost as much as she enjoys novels. Her master’s used to laud her as being able to read more than one book at once and able to read several hundred pages a night. She is knowledgeable in numerous subjects, but lacks experience, hands on training, or any formal education in them.

Personality: The Yuuzhan Vong is fairly timid, soft spoken and submissive to her compatriots, yielding to them more often than not and is naive to the ways of the galaxy. She can come off as a know-it-all, and often corrects others when they state incorrect information around her, even if she is not a part of the conversation. Saeza doesn’t lack courage or strength, and is more than willing to place herself in danger for the benefit of others, even strangers or those who have mistreated her. She holds to her Jedi Tenants, following the traditional oaths and teachings of the Old Jedi Order, having difficulty improvising and understanding social subtleties.

COMBAT INFORMATION
Weapon of Choice: Lightsaber | The Force
Combat Function: Saeza fills the role of the all-rounder, capable in many fields and roles she may be exposed to. She isn’t exceptional in anything particular, but she can support others well and hold her own fine in many situations.

Strengths:

  • Soul of a Martyr: Saeza will act when danger appears, placing herself in the line of fire without hesitation or thought to her own risk. She is willing to help others in fights she cannot win if it means saving someone, though she doesn’t leap into battle unless she considers it necessary.
Weaknesses:
  • Petite: She’s small framed, unlikely to overpower other combatants in a physical confrontation.
  • Naive: The girl isn’t worldly or socially adept, known for missing social cues, misunderstanding the intentions of others, and is fairly innocent.
  • Inexperienced: Saeza lacks the simple awareness, senses, and intuition of an experienced warrior or soldier.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Saeza Bolok’Vang, translated to Shamed of Domain Vang, was born on Alderaan following the One Sith’s occupation of the planet to a pair of Shamed Ones that were brought along with the warrior caste in order to work the mines for their Sith Overlords. Her infancy was spent below ground, her mother holding her even as she mined. Saeza was special, her skin was bluer and her eyes different from most of her kind. As she grew, her mother taught her kindness, a trait unlike many and told the young girl of the Gods and how they looked upon the Yuuzhan Vong, what her role was in their society and how Yun-Shuno cared for all her children, but required them to sacrifice and toil for their redemption. During her youth, Saeza was small, however she found herself in numerous fights with the other Yuuzhan Vong children. More often than not, she was beaten and bruised by the larger children for getting in their way, attempting to protect another from their tormenting.

After the Netherworld Rapture, Saeza and her mother were finally free from the Sith. Saeza, now a young girl, hoped they would see the stars now that the darkness had passed, but found that the Sith were only replaced with the cruelty of the remaining Yuuzhan Vong on the planet. The returning Republic and Alderaanians moved the Yuuzhan Vong who survived their reoccupation of the planet into reservations around the most heavily Vongformed regions of the World, the Shamed Ones and the Castes together. They promised they would allow those willing to integrate into their society the opportunity to do so, and Saeza hoped that she and her mother would go with the Outsiders to the glittering cities, but her mother refused, deciding to go back underground in the mines with many other Shamed Ones. She told Saeza that Yun-Shuno demanded that they toil for the other Yuuzhan Vong, and that only through that could they find her forgiveness, and only then could they be elevated with the rest of their kind.

When the time came, and the Alderaanians went into the Reservation to withdraw those that wished to go, a tall man approached her standing alongside her mother. He told her she was special and that if she wanted, she could go with him to the Enclaves. Her mother became incensed, demanding to know why a Jeedai would bother with her child. When he explained that Saeza was sensitive to the Force, her mother struck her, casting her out as a monster corrupted by the Jeedai Netherworld and their Force. If not for the intervention of the Jedi warrior, Saeza would certainly have been killed by the enraged Shamed Ones at the convocation had she been left alone, sacrificed for her unintentional blasphemy against their gods. However the Jedi took the young girl and protected her, his Lightsaber igniting with the iconic snap-hiss of the blade. Saeza felt safe for the first time in her short life looking at the stoic figure who stood between a stranger and a hundred enemies, and she agreed to leave with him to train.

When they arrived at the Enclave, he introduced himself as
Jedi Master Kol Varon, the Battlemaster for the Alderaanian Enclave. He placed her within the Enclave, leaving her there as a Youngling to learn all she wanted and was able so that she might one day become a Jedi like him. Saeza took to reading and studying alongside her fellows with ease, discovering that she loved reading books and stories now that they were made available to her. She was often viewed by others with some suspicion, when the nobility would visit they’d look at her and ask about her in shock, some of the other younglings would taunt her or pick on her because of her species, but she endured easily. Life as a Shamed One was constant degradation, far worse than they could have done to her, and so she didn’t notice it’s mean spiritedness. Having been revealed to have an excellent memory, she took quickly to academic studies and excelled in the classroom nature as a youngling, spending much of her time in the libraries that were available to her, but year after year other younglings were chosen by Masters and taken as Padawans while she remained.

When the Resistance formed following the Battle of Thyferra, Master Varon returned to the Enclave and took many of the Jedi there to the RNS Solemn Purpose to join the Jedi Remnant. He believed they would be safer on the ship than on Alderaan, and Saeza joined them. The Resistance began organizing the Jedi and issuing its members missions and operations to partake on, but Saeza lacking experience was often overlooked or chose to remain within the temple levels to continue her study. She turned to helping in the hospitals aboard the vessel to earn her keep, but as she was not a dedicated healer, she was not as useful as many of her counterparts. Several aboard the ship began to believe she was taking up space, having never left the vessel since the being brought to it. Several Masters began debating removing her from the remnant to free up her room for other members to use, sending her to serve elsewhere. Master Varon, ever her sponsor proposed a different opportunity.

Saeza was instead assigned to assist another Remnant Jedi Padawan, Laira Darkhold, so that she could gain field experience. The redheaded pilot had been with the Resistance since its founding and participated in several RESINT operations with some success, but had also been shown to possess a reckless streak before she formerly joined the Remnant. Varon determined the young Yuuzhan Vong Jedi might help balance the redhead out, and would find ample opportunities for growth alongside her. Given that both are a little older than most Padawans are when taken by a Master, and skilled enough with the Force to warrant Knighting but lack experience or understanding of the Jedi lifestyle, he believed they would make a fine team.
