- The district is under the full control of the Sith Imperium, but the district is administered by the Sphere of Research and Science and its Dark Councilor
- Due to Darth Arcanix being the new Dark Councilor of the Sphere of Research and Science, the district has a heavy presence from the Order of Arcane Syn, her own personal power base.

- Due to the wealth flowing into the Sith Imperium from its conquests, along with the resources provided several corporations such as Aurora Industries and Spaarti Creations affiliated with the Sith and Darth Arcanix, the district is one of the more affluent on the planet. As essentially the base for her power base within Sith-controlled territory, Darth Arcanix and her followers ensure that the resources and funding for the various projects and research being undertaken is available.
- Stability: High
- Much of the district, like the planet itself, has been fully indoctrinated into the Sith beliefs. On top of that, due to the influence of Darth Arcanix and her power base, the district is ostensibly one of the safer parts of the city to travel to for travelers as they encourage various scientists and researchers from across the galaxy to visit. In the deeper parts of the district however, closer to the secretive Corbos Alchemy Complex, there is always the danger that a traveler might disappear at the hands of an eager alchemist looking for test subjects.
- Freedom & Oppression:
- Citizens within the district have the same freedoms as any other in Sith-controlled territory, if not a bit more due to the philosophy of Darth Arcanix and her followers. The Dark Councilor encourages free thought when it comes to science and research into the Force, wanting to foster an environment where experimentation and discovery are paramount.
- However, that is not to say there are not subtle indications of the more oppressive side of the Sith that are watching the population. Recently created Thought Hunters, bound to loyal followers of Darth Arcanix and the current Emperor, float among the population to ensure that disloyalty is quietly rooted out if it attempts to take root. Soldiers of the Sith Imperium and from the Order of Arcane Syn also patrol to ensure the citizenry follow the laws and edicts of the Imperium, within the bounds of Arcanix's more liberal approach to scientific morals.

- The Sadow District is a sprawling area in the northern part of Jutrand's ecumenopolis that has seen a revival and restructure under the Sith Lady Darth Arcanix and the Sphere of Research and Science. Blending traditional Jutrand architecture with themes from Naboo and Lorrd, the district has gained a distinct aesthetic and quickly has gained a reputation for a science-friendly environment. Much of the district, in contrast with the rest of the world, has running water features fed by a large artificial lake and plant life imported from other worlds. In addition to the pleasing appearance of the district, it is host to large research and development facilities that feed the new Empire's ever-growing need for technological and Force advancement.
Gates of Keto
The primary entrance to the district from the nearby spaceport, the Gates of Keto are a mixture of classical Jutrand architecture along with Naboo and Lorrdian influences. Pleasing to the eye, the Gates are also a deceptively powerful fortification as they house the barracks for several divisions of Arcanix's personal forces along with security apparatus such as turrets and energy shields. Like the Sorzus Academy on Ziost, the Gates are also lined with statues of various Sith Lords and Ladies that act as Sith Statues empowered by the sorcery of the Dark Councilor.
Zannah Falls
A residential and commercial block of manors and small palaces for the wealthy, including the higher-ranking Sith that serve Darth Arcanix, the Zannah Falls region lies within the shadow of the Obscurial Reliquary. At the request of the Dark Councilor, a large artificial lake was constructed along with the various waterfalls fed by the lake to create that mixture of Jutrand architecture and Naboo and Lorrdian influences that are prevalent throughout the district. A walkway that runs along the falls is lined with upscale shops and restaurants that cater to the wealthy, along with small pools fed by the falls.
Sorzus Annex
Located in the northern part of the district, the Sorzus Annex is a satellite campus of the Sorzus Academy of Sith Arts on Ziost. Much like the primary campus, students studying at the annex are aspiring sorcerers and alchemists that are seeking higher education in the dark side of the Force that have been hand-picked by the Dark Councilor or her subservient Sith Lords and Ladies. The campus is split between three buildings: the Hall of Muur for alchemy, the Hall of Cognus for sorcery, and the Hall of Ragnos that serves as central lecture hall. Various dormitories and support facilities are scattered around the main campus, with a line of apartments near the Zannah Falls held exclusively for the highest performing students and personal apprentices of Arcanix and other Lords and Ladies.
The Obscurial Reliquary
The central feature of the district, the Obscurial Reliquary serves as both the administrative center of the Sphere of Research and Science and a massive archive for the Sith Imperium. State-of-the-art laboratories and facilities are located in the first two towers, along with some small fabrication facilities to create various prototype technologies. The third tower is the administrative tower and archive, along with the personal laboratory and residence of Darth Arcanix within the Sith Imperium. Floating at an equidistant point between the three towers is ostensibly an art construct designed by an artist friend of the Sith Lady, but it also conceals a shield generator that can protect the towers if the planet comes under assault.
Corbos Alchemy Complex
Located in caverns beneath the district, along with several attached surface facilities, is the Corbos Alchemy Complex. The complex is a massive Sithspawn creation and breeding center, in line with those that could be found on other Order of Arcane Syn controlled areas such as Valrar and Amaltanna. Specially designed genesis chambers, cloning tanks, and other bleeding edge genetics technology can be found within the facility, along with a dedicated team of scientists from Spaarti Creations that oversee the facility in coordination with the Dark Councilor and her subservient Sith Lords and Ladies.
SECURITY: High
- Security throughout the district is high for a multitude of reasons. A large number of Sith can be found in the district, ranging from acolytes to Lords and Ladies, and many of them can contribute to either defense of the district or supporting Imperium forces stationed in the district. Soldiers of the Sith Imperium and of the Order of Arcane Syn patrol the area and many of the facilities are highly secure due to the sensitive nature of their work and the instinctual paranoia of many scientists and Sith. Energy shields and security turrets can also be found throughout the district for defense, along with the large fortification known as the Gates of Keto.
- In addition to the standard defenses, the district can call upon Sithspawn created or cloned at the Corbos Alchemy Complex to supplement security in the district if necessary.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Following the battle on Jutrand between the Eternalists supporting the Sith Imperium and the Kainite forces unleashed by the Malsheem, large portions of the Jutrand ecumenopolis suffered damage and required repairs. As part of that effort, and to further establish the Sphere of Research and Science for the new Dark Council, Darth Arcanix and her power base assumed administrative control over the eighth district of Jutrand and began reshaping it into the image of the Dark Councilor. Co-opting fabricators and engineers, Arcanix and her followers designed a city district that would cater to the needs of alchemists, sorcerers, scientists, and all others devoted to research and development of science, technology, and the Force.
The district was redesigned as a blend of Jutrand's historic architecture of domes and cathedrals with the architecture of Naboo, a world that Arcanix had always appreciated, and Lorrd, the world she grew up on. An artificial lake was even constructed to create waterfalls and small canals that would feed water features and parks around the district, a departure from the more synthetic atmosphere of other parts of the city, along with creating a more affluent appearing district.
While appearances were important, the most important construction work was devoted towards the infrastructure needed for the new Sphere within the Imperium. Sprawling laboratories and research centers were constructed, centered around the Obscurial Reliquary, what would become the administrative center of the Dark Councilor's portfolio. A satellite academy of the Sorzus Academy was established, and caverns found under the district were cleared out to form a massive Sithspawn creation complex for the Imperium. Work would continue as the Imperium continues to conquer and evolve into the next Sith Empire, and Darth Arcanix would make sure that the renamed Sadow District would contribute to the knowledge and scientific advancement of the new Empire.
