ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Bulk Freighter: The Bowhead is designed to be able to transport cargo en-masse, and the entire design of the freighter is devoted to just that; transporting cargo. The Bowhead has an immense amount of cargo space; over two hundred million cubic meters, to be more precise and is able to fill it to the brim with goodies. The impressive speeds that are achievable by the Bowhead, as well as its fast hyperspace travel times, also shorten shipping time and fuel expenses, making the Bowhead an economic choice as well.
WEAKNESSES
  • Combat: With a lack of offensive or defensive armaments, the Bowhead is not suited for any means of combat. It's highly-defensive MRS-01 Eir Defensive System is meant to protect the ship in case of attack, but the protocol of the Bowhead is to be able to avoid or escape any chance engagement, as the ship would not be able to fight back.
DESCRIPTION
The RMS-HT27 Bowhead-class Bulk Freighter is Roble Manufacturing's latest model of industry-oriented ship. Unlike its mining and refining cousin, the Venture-class, the Bowhead is instead a bulk freighter with enough cargo capacity to transport hundreds of millions of metric tons of cargo to whatsoever destination, at extremely high speeds and with heavy amounts of security. Truly a bulk freighter of massive proportions, the ship dwarfs many conventional Star Destroyers in size and can almost rival small battlecruisers, although the subject becomes moot when the conversation is turned to armament for one sole reason; the ship has none. The Bowhead is completely devoid of any sort of armament, offensive or defensive. While this ensures foreign governments that shipping lines with the Bulkhead in tow aim to do no harm, this can become somewhat o a problem if the ship becomes under attack from hostile forces.

Fortunately, there are a number of technologies in the Bulkhead that would allow a crew and cargo to escape unharmed. First of all, a NAV-RH1 Interdiction Countermeasures Package allows the ship to drop out of hyperspace before any potential interdictor field, that would otherwise cripple the ship. Safely out of harm's way, the freighter is left free to astrogate to a different point and jump away simply. If caught unawares, the Bulkhead features a military-grade MRS-01 Eir Defensive System and RAAM-M3 Tactical Ordnance Jammer, which combined both deflect and absorb any oncoming damage to prevent structural failure. In the advent that a Bulkhead is somehow disabled and boarded -- as Roble Manufacturing expects that the hostile forces users of the ship will primarily encounter to be pirates or other ships that wish to make way with part or all of the Bulkhead's cargo -- a complement of TVX-16S Cylai-type Security Droids is also included, competent enough to fight off any hardscrabble pirate force.

But the Bulkhead is designed to ferry cargo, not fight battles, and its defensive technologies are only in place so that the freighter can avoid or escape any sort of hostile situation. Where the Bulkhead really shines is its industrial capability; its ability to transport immense loads of cargo across interstellar routes at extremely fast speeds. The Bulkhead contains over two-hundred-and-thirty million cubic meters of industrial cargo space that can be used to transport almost anything imaginable, as long as it can fit. It also features very powerful ion drives that allow it to accelerate to great speeds and an advanced hyperdrive that allows it to travel at a very fast grade. All in all, the Bulkhead is an extremely useful vessel for any prospering company, shipping firm, or even a single ambitious spacer.

Love giant freighters moving large cargo. Small problem though.

NECESSARY CHANGES!

Hyperdrive Class: Very Fast | 1.0
It is actually Average. Very Fast generally only occurs when going at .9 and below. Fast can work as well but it is all up to you.

Let me know when you make the changes as everything balances out at this point and be ready for the next step in judging.
