Ring around the Space Docks (Clans of Mandalore Dominion of Ringo Vinda)

ACW_IA_114390-resize_6a7d6d59.png

Objectives:
1: Join Diplomatic talks with the representatives of Ringo Vinda aboard the orbital ring.
2: Set up defenses against pirates, prepare the people of Ringo Vinda against enemies.
3: BYOO in helping the people.

Ringo Vinda, once a very prosperous world, with a ring not unlike Kuats, though not as famous. Once, the planet was verdant and prosperous, it thrived on ship building and other products on the planet itself, but that went down as Kuat and Mon Calas success went up. Then Kuat went down to various factions and wars, so Ringo Vindas success went up once more, though still not as well known as other places, it still prospered. But it prospered a tad too much and drew the attention of pirates and outlaws.

Of course the people of Ringo Vinda wouldn't simply let themselves be robbed, so they turned to help. In this case, they turned to the Mandalorians and sought out their help. They sent a message to the leadership of the Mandalorians, a plea for help and a promise of supplies and repairs at Ringo Vinda.
"To the United Clans of Mandalore, this is the planetary leadership of Ringo Vinda. We request your aid, pirates have become a problem in recent times, and they have begun to make threats against ourselves and our people, soemthing we cannot and will not allow to stand. Thus we ask you for assistance and protection, we wish to join you. Please consider our plea for help and come to our planet, join us so that we may discuss details. Thank you for your consideration."

That was their plea, their request for help. Even as it was sent, the planetary leaders knew that the pirates were most likely closing in, and they knew they wouldn't be able to stand alone. So they hoped and prayed that the Mando'ade would answer their call. They prepared for an answer, setting up a meeting hall for dignitaries to come, they prepared the people, having them make ready for a parade route for the Mandalorians, and they prepared themselves, finding what they could offer to appear useful. They needed the Mandalorians help and would do almost anything to get it.

Objective 2
8x Torrent-types

In hyperspace, Mig sat aboard the Torrent, the first of the Torrent-type vessels. There mission was to assist Ringo Vinda with a pirate issue, and the Alor felt that this would be a good test of the new stealth ships. Soon, the craft entered the system, and immediately cloaked to hide from the enemy. The small stealth fleet began to scan the system, hunting for the pirate vessels.

Objective 1
Mando delegation: TBD

Jessica was one of the main industrial stakeholders on the planet. Yes, in preparation of the transition of power to Mando control, she had a plan in place for her share of the shipyards in orbit, knowing that not all drydocks on the ring were the company's property. Production of parts would continue as usual, but since in the eyes of so many on the planet, it was to be associated with Jedi, the planet is to produce ships for the civilian market going forward, with the military market being serviced elsewhere. But just because a referendum was won to join the Mandos, didn't mean that planet's leadership would actually agree on the terms of joining: if the negotiations fall apart, the Mandos will have a flashpoint on their hands. I hope the Mandos won't have too much bad blood after all the history I have against them, dating back years: it feels funny for me to be in this situation, she thought, while being en route to Ringo Vinda from Geonosis. It was too big a deal for her to ignore, and perhaps there would be less bad blood between the Silvers and the Mandos if she acts in good faith here.

Objective 1
Negotiators: [member="Jessica Med-Beq"]
Ringo Vinda. A manufacturing world in jazzed to be seeing first hand. Been a few new and blue moons since I’ve been in engineer and executive mode, and as the business interests on Ringo Vinda require a knowledgeable and delicate hand, my daughter [member="Yasha Cadera"] sent me in her stead. Best leave the Mand’alor to the battles in our western borders, the pirates and the beurocracy of the Empire.

Dressed in a soft chersilk suit, my growing belly covered by a soft velvet suit coat, I linger nearer to [member="Adenn Kyramud"].

Negotiations. Gee, imagine Yasha needing her mom? My fingers wiggle over my wrist computer, flicking through data projections and memorizing that last little bit of data before the push and pull. Hear [member="Jessica Med-Beq"] is coming. Gosh, that’s a name from the past. Don’t think Jessica would recognize Yash if she saw her, Yasha was such a small child when she landed on Kashyyk during the invasion those years ago.

Still. We ain’t here to stop any honest work. Just clear out the pirates and keep the economy flowing. Maybe one more glean of my data tables...

Lost in thought, I bump into a hard body. It’s Adenn and I smirk along at his buy’ce. “Oy, gorgeous. Think this’ll work out? Don’t tell Yash, I’ll deny everything but... I’m nervous. Gosh. Me! Nervous! It’s just... Yasha don’t ask for anything from me anymore and I ain’t gonna screw up the one chance I got to prove to my adult daughter I’m relevant in her life.

And her Clans.” Woosh! Getting that all out! Feel a thousand times less pressure on my chest.

“Alrighty! Where’re the diplomats?! I’m ready! Let’s do this! Yeah! Why am I shouting?! Someone stop me shouting!”

Objective 1
Negotiations
My side - [member="Aditya Fitz Kierke"]
Other side - [member="Jessica Med-Beq"]

Change of pace for what she was called upon, instead of getting ready for a battle for was getting ready for diplomatic talks. However a familiar name came up as well and stardust also wanted to spend a little time with her adopted mother... technically she was that? Either was yashas mother was a person star wanted to try and socialize with a little bit

However didnt mean stardust didnt go in unarmored, terrify she didnt know with people who could shoot you star cane with her armor on minus her helmet of course, full weapon loadout out on her while still carrying a friendly smile standing by [member="Aditya Fitz Kierke"].

hahah somones excited no? Been awhile since I've done something like this hahaha

Objective: 2 Defence Against Pirates

“These ruddy ingrates are giving us true pirates terrible names, gentlefolk, and I will not have it!” Livia punched her fist on the arm of her command chair, as a chorus of ‘OYA!’ and “Oy OY!” rang out from the Command Crew, and the comm buzzing in her ear.

Pirates, or more correctly put, ridiculously uncouth miscreants who clearly needed an education on proper raiding techniques and how not to do so, ever closer to the Mandalorian borders, were raiding Ringo Vinda. The completely sensible solution was to call in the best mercenaries and marauders of them all:

The Mandalorians.

Dressed in her prim uniform, the Pirate Queen of Wayland narrowed her eyelids as reports from Australis called for defence against a small fleet of cruisers. While it was thoroughly entertaining to hear Clan Australis batter against vastly superior numbers with a collection of fighters, today was a more wondrous occasion.

The Fury was free to play.

“Land us within firing range of their Galleon, all weapons stations all ready to fire on sight of the enemy. We’ll blast them to the heavens and steal their ale before they batter the defensively challenged again! Engage!” Livia pointed toward the viewport, as the Defiant Mantis and escort cut to hyperspace. Her helmsman, a particularly silent but talented Echani (who totally dyed his hair blonde to avoid pain by association), exited Hyperspace on the back end of the pirate cruisers.

“Open a channel!” Livia maintained her posture as Rosalind the Commer gave her ‘ayep!’ and the channel was live.

“Little scruffy pirates, this is Captain Livia Maddox of the Mandalorian Battleship Defiant Mantis. You have six seconds to power down everything but your life support, before my compatriots and I start blasting more holes in your hulls than a type of Concordian cheddar.” Counting in her head, with her eyes pointed at the ceiling, Livia smacked her lips.

“They raised their defences, Ma’am.”

“Oh goodie, I was about to get bored. Limited Comm to Australis and the other Mandalorians.” She waited for the ‘ayep’ from Rosalind and cleared her throat. “So you’re not ruddy dead, fine timing all round. I hear you vode might require some cruiser shaped assistance, eh? Jolly well ready to fight and beat these unwashed miscreants back to their mums in tidy ziplocked bags. Steer clear of my guns, eh mates? About to be enough shrapnel to give my furnaces the meal of their lives. Maddox out.”

[member="Aedan Miles"]’ wife twirled her finger in the air to cut off her end of the comm, leaning forward in her chair.

“For’ard batteries. Fire. At. Will.”

Boom.

The delegates had sent their message, now for them they only had to wait. They had to wait for the Mandalorian delegates and those of their own who weren't on planet or on the rings yet. However, in that waiting time, they had set up a conference room, designed to be aesthetically pleasing, but also functional. It had a view on one side towards the planet, and on the other towards space. Of course the room was semi separated into sections, so that an attack couldn't drag people straight into space. There were safeguards in place, should either window be breached, walls would come down from the ceiling and block off escaping air, and there were special shields to protect those in the room. Within the room itself though, there was one table, big enough to seat everyone, round to make everyone feel welcome, and empty in the middle so that someone could speak from there if so inclined.

Within that room were several representatives already, they were anything from the planets leaders to powerful company owners. Of course not everyone was there yet, specifically the Mandalorians. They were waiting outside and down the hallway, so that the Ringo Vindans could have some last minute discussions before the Mandalorians arrival. Once they were done, then they'd invite the Mandalorians inside.

EDfUZH1.gif

Adenn received the call from Ringo Vinda, the same as many other Mandalorians. He and his ship, the Aegis Eternum, had decided to go as diplomats, to assure the people that they would help defend them from pirates. Normally Adenn would prefer to go straight for the pirates, but he also had to consider his companion, Aditya. Adenn really didn't want to have her anywhere near combat, much less in the thick of it. Yes she could take care of herself, but Adenn was also thinking of his unborn children, and wanted to keep them safe, at least until they were of age. Thinking of Aditya seems to bring her to him, as she comes closer to him. Looking down to her, Adenn smiles behind his helmet, she seems lost in thought, so Adenn leaves her be. Aditya had come at the insistence of the Mand'alor and would help with negotiations, ensuring that the people knew that the Mando'ade could handle all aspects of life.

Turning his gaze back to the viewscreen, Adenn watches in silence to the view of space before him. They had arrived at Ringo Vinda some time before and had landed on the ring quickly. However, the meeting room wasn't ready yet, so they had some alone time. Standing there thinking, Adenn doesn't notice Adtya, until she bumps into him. Chuckling slightly, Adenn turns his attention to her, his eyes filled with love, even behind his helmet. Then she's speaking, talking about being nervous and all that. Grinning behind his helmet, Adenn wraps his arms around her and leans his helmeted forehead against hers before speaking.
"C'yare, of course it'll work out, this is you we're talking about after all. There's nothing you can't do if you don't set your mind to it." Then she's shouting, and Adenn doesn't know why, but she asks that someone stops her shouting, so Adenn does. Tilting his helmet back, Adenn captures her lips with his own, effectively quieting her. After a few moments, Adenn breaks the kiss and his helmet slides back down. Laughing gently, Adenn goes on. "There, I've stopped you now, haven't I." He chuckles, patting her side before rubbing it gently with his hand.

In all the talk with Aditya, he forgot about Star standing there. Laughing again, Adenn turns his head to her.
"Well then, I guess you two can use this to get back in the swing of things. Don't worry though," he winks with a mocking head tilt. "I can take the lead and you two can watch." Adenn puffs his chest out in mock arrogance and proudness. "I know what I'm doin' darlins." He hold the pose for a few seconds before laughing once more. Shaking his head in mirth, Adenn was going to say more when a messenger came to them then.

The messenger walked up to them, gave a short bow, before explaining that the delegates were ready for them. That done, the messenger turned around and walked back towards the meeting room. Sighing in anticipation, Adenn turned to Aditya and Star.
"Shall we then? Back into the fray of diplomacy." Shaking his head, Adenn turned towards the meeting room. "Let's do this vode, let's do this."

Then Adenn marched forward towards the door, he was looking forward to these talks, while also dreading them. He wasn't the best of diplomats, but he was good enough that he kept going back into it, much to his chagrin at times. Shaking those thoughts off, Adenn went and held the doors open for Aditya and Star, before following them into the meeting room, and into another planet that wished to join the Mando'ade. Just another day on the job, thought Adenn to himself.

Ringo Vinda.

A planet Taozi had considered in commissioning ships from, once. Unfortunate as it was, now that the planet was a target of pirates, Taozi walked through the halls dressed in her usual Atrisian garb. Hair half-up in two braided side buns, and two small braids framing her face, the Tal Alor was flanked by two other female member of Clan Tal dressed similarly to their Alor. Thankfully, Taozi arrived just before the others present, and bowed slightly at the waist, hands in front of her, in a silent greeting.

Hopefully the more combat inclined clans would keep this meeting from literally exploding.

What’s the hardest part about coming back from the dead? History, that’s something you learn. Catch up like a newsie catching media feeds. Not the new body, there’s a fantastic liberation in missing scars. Looking down at my hands and see the same hands as a normal woman, not the pugilist’s mitts I had before, knuckles so busted I wore gloves to every meeting to detract from the aura of violence I projected around the Atrisian stiffs.

Speaking of, an Atrisian-dressed woman walks up, gives a bow. I bow back, in the Courtly Fashion of Emperor Kahoshi, not only because he was my Emperor when I lived on Atrisia, but because he gave me a Noble seat and I figure even in something as codified as a bow, I can pay homage.

Atrisia. The place I’d wanted to raise my daughter. Every time I packed her up, didn’t matter if Eli wasn’t around, by the time I got on my ship? There was my now deceased husband, our daughter in our arms and a silent grimace on his face. Off he’d walk, back to the house outside New Keldabe. No daughter of his was gonna leave Mandalore… funny then it took me dying for him to change his mind.

Too late, by then.

“Sorry! Wow, yeah, that was a train of thought. Kept on… keeping on for a while, there. So, Star, you’re Yash’s sister? Clan-something? V-oood? Vud? Vawd?” And freakin’ too late for me to realize I’ve been lost in thought, somewhere between Stardust, Taozi and Adenn. Good thing my sweetheart’s kiss brings me out of it again.

“Ommmrrhfffhhh!” I end up tamed by Adenn’s gravity, swept in and kissed to halt the flow of my nerves. “… oy. It worked… huh.”

Hand on Adenn’s chestplate, I take a few breaths to clear out the boogaloos in my brainstem and give the Twi’lek a smile, or what passes for one.

“Aw, negotiations. Used to being on the other end of an economic table, but I suppose it’s not a total loss sending the outsider Mom to talk to the outside business interests. After all, when we have such a… wise man to fall back on…” I snort and punch Adenn in the shoulder softly, snorting again when he puffs up his chest. “Ain’t he cute? Thinks he’s helpin’… Welcome, Taozi is it? The doctor Alor. Guess we’re on…”

Stopping for a brief second to curl close to Adenn, I lean over to his ear and whisper. “Thanks, c’yare. I love you, too.”

I waddle through the door and take my seat at the table, overlooking [member="Jessica Med-Beq"] and the other Ringo Vindan business and political interests.

“Ladies, Gentlemen and Androgynes, thank you for coming. Mand’alor the Infernal sends her personal regards that this diplomatic summit comes to a beneficial conclusion for both parties. Might I introduce our Mandalorian delegation?” So the ability to work a room in a business setting didn’t perish with my corpse!

The joys!

“My illustrious colleagues, Queen Stardust Solus Skirae of Zeltros, Aliit-Riduur of Clan Solus Alor Cynthia Solus. Alor Adenn Kyramud of Clan Mortui, Alor Taozi Fuyuan of Clan Tal, one of our best medical and humanitarian Clans. And I am Aditya Fitz-Kierke, CEO of the Imperial Shipworks, the Imperial Mining Company, Heir Apparent of House Fitz Kierke of the Pacanth Reach and… mother of Mand’alor the Infernal. As the manufacturing of ships is in my wheel house as an engineer and corporate CEO, the Infernal thought my eye and intellect would be better suited than eight feet of beskar’gam sitting in these comfortable, but Epicanthix-tiny chairs.

Our navy has engaged pirates already in your space, headed by Clans Gred, Australis and Akaata. We keep our word, you see. So. Shall we begin? Anybody need a refreshment?”

Alor of Clan Gred, Mando'ad'jetii
Mig heard [member="Livia Maddox"] 's warning to stay out out her firing area. The Alor smiled some as he saw the fleet through the bridge view port. No one even realized where he was.

"I don't thing that'll be a problem, Maddox. All vessels, decloak!" As he called the order, the Torrent-types appeared, two near the Defiant Mantis, two to the port of the fleet, two to starboard, and two at the rear. The stealth vessels all began to fire a hail of torpedoes at the two remaining ships the the pirate fleet, but almost as soon as they appeared, the torpedo frigates hid in their cloak once again. The torpedoes impacted the front of the Strike Cruiser, taking the hole that [member="Kaine Australis"] 's fighters made. Mig smiled and called over the comms again. "Hope y'all like my clan's new toys.

"Maybe some of you have, in fact, heard about me, but for those among you that didn't, I'm Jessica Med-Beq" Jessica introduced herself. "No thanks" she then answered Aditya's questions about refreshments.

The most uncomfortable truth is that, even though I know people feel differently about maintaining industrial neutrality or non-exclusivity depending on what's the object of manufacturing, maintaining industrial neutrality is in the best interest of the local populace. However, Mandos have been rather hit-or-miss in keeping their word, especially since they are now openly allied with Sith, so the population needs to keep an eye on the Mandos, she thought, realizing, however, that none of the broken Mando promises were of a commercial nature. In fact, it was the one thing that was often glossed over by so many, and certainly by Jedi she knew from past diplomatic missions, however succinct the terms. Yet, she was puzzled by Mandos: now they just want to root out pirates? She suspects some ulterior motives could be at play. Just because commercial stuff tend to be easier to keep their word on, doesn't mean the issue isn't there. The Mando delegates will realize quickly that Jessica would rather get to the heart of the matter as quickly as possible.

"The first item that matters for the well-being of both clans and local population is trade. You must realize that Ringo has a vast array of customers, especially in regards to civilian spacecraft. The local population feels that their interests would be best served by maintaining the freedoms of trade they currently have. What other assurances can the Clans provide that the jobs of the local population will be maintained? The last thing the Mandos on Ringo would want, after the pirates are dealt with, is a revolt rooted in unemployment issues"

[member="Jessica Med-Beq"] [member="Mig Gred"] [member="Kaine Australis"] [member="Aditya Fitz Kierke"]

Stardust took a seat, quietly looking to Jessica, been awhile since she'd last seen the woman years maybe? Hmm she couldnt remember at all either way. Standing when she wa mentioned she bowed before setting again in her chair adjusting before relaxing as she offered a smile looking to aditya

Looking back to Jessica she sat forward and decided to speak up

weve many companies that can offer jobs to the people of this planet, I myself own industrial automation which builds droids of different types most famously of course the R series of droids. I would be willing to bring business here and jobs for everyone as well

Even as the few pirate ships attacked the Mandalorian forces, they received message that more pirate ships were enroute. These pirates meant business, even if they didn't have many big ships, more focused on the smaller variety. The small group that was there was taking a pounding, pure and simple. With the ship captains panicking thanks to Mig and his ships, the damage taken already, and who they were facing was worrying them. But they weren't without hope just yet, for in that moment they received reinforcements. Those came in the shape of a squadron(12 ships) of Z-95 Headhunters. They may be old, but the pilots knew their ships and immediately went to work on attacking the Mandalorians in space.

As the Mandalorians entered the meeting room, the diplomats from Ringo Vinda stood to greet them, before sitting back down again while motioning for the Mandalorians to do the same. They listened as Aditya spoke, followed by Jessica, wishing to see what would happen first. Then the speaker for them spoke up.
"Welcome esteemed dignitaries of the Mandalorians, we are glad that you answered our call so quickly." He gave a slight bow in thanks. "I am Representative Speaker Jarod, and these are my colleagues." Jarod motioned towards those sitting by him before continuing. "So, as our message stated, we have a pirate problem. So far we haven't received proper support for this form other sources, and we know how many Mandalorians dislike slavers, so we decided to combine the two." Chuckling slightly, Jarods smile widened slightly. "Now, on to business. First order is as Jessica said, so..." He made a motion for the Mandalorian delegation to speak.

It was then that Adenn spoke up, he had filed in with the rest of them, staying by Adityas side. He sat with the rest, but when asked to answer what they'd do, Adenn stood up and began speaking, his voice sincere and calm.
"Firstly, thank you for inviting us here, I only wish it were under better circumstances. Now then, we fully understand that you and the people would prefer your freedom, that we can guarantee. As for freedom of trade and maintaining jobs, of course they shall stay! The running's of a planet by itself are separate from the entirety of the UCM. As for maintaining jobs, we wish for the workers to remain, so that they may continue their great works." Nodding his head in thanks, Adenn sat back down.

Jarod nodded his head in thanks before asking another question.
"Thank you Alor Kyramud. Another question then, to all of you: what will you do once the pirates are defeated? In regards to defense of Ringo Vinda."

Nodding his head, Adenn motioned for another of the Mandalorian diplomats to speak then, because he didn't wish to take all of the spot light. Grinning slightly behind his helmet, Adenn then reached a hand out to Aditya to hold her hand, simply to be in contact with her.

“Oh, pastry crust, I know exactly who you are.” I smirk in a pleasant enough fashion, to satisfy diplomatic relations.

“Why the blue blazes would we want to increase unemployment on a planetary system doing well? What possible gain could we have in becoming a detriment to the Ringo Vindan economy, an economy we’re excited to see thrive? Why would we limit export, when the unique exports of Ringo Vinda strengthen the whole? The Clans have never infringed upon the local governance or economy of the planets under our protection, unless they were enslaving or mistreating their citizens. Just ask the Hapans. We maintain the space lanes, and a port of call for trade purposes, but leave the Hapans to their own dealings. This is not a rarity, honey pie. It don’t matter to us what you do with your company, as long as everyone on Ringo Vinda has equal access to employment, education, health care and opportunity. The Clans offer free education, free health care, and opportunities across the span of our space. And I can mirror my compatriot Stardust here. The Imperial Shipworks and Imperial Mining Company would love to get in on trade.”

Aditya sat back, a hand on her belly as she listened and watched the others. Adenn made a good point. She held his hand under the table, flicking eyes between the delegates. A few hard conversations were to be expected, but it seemed everyone was on point. Giving Adenn a tight smile, Aditya once more spoke up from her place at the table.

“First we’ll do a feasibility study to discover where your defensive weaknesses are. Once they are highlighted for all to see, we’ll set up droid based listening posts, and add Ringo Vinda into our fleet rotations. Move a station into the sector to act as a staging point, so Ringo Vinda can remain the way it is. Our fleet is already engaging your pirate problem. Quite… kinetically. And we can continue providing that support so your planetary resources can go into social programs for your people.”

Long had it been. Nathan had only just rejoined his kin, and rejuvenated the Raxis Homestead before the call had gone out. Most folks did not remember the Raxis Clan. His Father had seen to that during the civil War. But Nathan was determined to wash clean the sins of the Father. With Gray and the Council gone, the Leadership role had fallen to him.

Some followed and some did not. They were waiting to see whether he was just another young upstart, vying for an Alor spot with minimal work, or whether he'd be a man of character and the Resol'Nare.

He grinned inside his helmet as the small Jast Whisperlite shuttle cruised in towards the flanks of one of the larger Pirate vessels. Kaine and the Australis Clan were hammering the hell out of them. The TAC display in his HUD illustrated their marked success.

With him he a had a handpicked team of Vode. Savage Raxis warrios, each marked with a red and black Wolf Sigil on their Beskar'Gam. Each dressed and suited as Jaster Mereels Supercommandos once were.
Family, Honor, Battle

That had been Clan Raxis motto as long as they could remember.

His thoughts drifted to Alleria at home with the kids.. A sigh escaped his lips. Much as he loved caving in skulls, he loved fishing with his sons more. A silent prayer to the Mada to bring him back home to her and the children followed, just before the lights turned red.

"Standbye team!" Their pilot shouted.

Jast Whisperlites were notorious for being sneaky. They'd snuck right up to the outer skin of the enemy's warship.

Nathan un-clipped his fusion cutter from his belt, other hand gripping a troop strap to hold him in place. They had a plan to decompress from one side, and conduct a zero G assault on the bridge. Apparently they were all crazy like that.

I fit right in here.

"You ready for this pup?" Asked Jerek, a much older seasoned warrior.

"Sure am. Got your back if you got mine Ner'Vod."

"I got your back Pup. Just don;t get me killed," he growled through his helmet.

"Ten seconds."

Nathan braced, keeping a low profile, buckling at the knees,

"Here we go!"

Taozi followed the others into the meeting room quietly, and taking a seat at the table with her vode. The Tal Alor sat quietly as other members of the Mandalorian delegation spoke, and nodded her head politely when [member="Aditya Fitz Kierke"] introduced her. She listened as [member="Jessica Med-Beq"] spoke, asking questions about local jobs, and allowing companies to trade freely. How coming into the fold of the UCM would affect the planet's economy.

"If jobs become a problem, I would be more than happy to commission more ships for my clan's medical fleet. There are, of course, other medical supplies and tools my vod and I have developed, and production can easily be transferred here if the need arises."

Next on the list was discussion on the defenses of Ringo Vinda. A subject Taozi and her clan did not perform very often, and as such she remained quiet throughout Aditya's answer.

"Now that the economic portion is pretty much settled, the defense is the next topic"

Now that the topic of economic transition was settled, it was time for the Mandos to approach what was the favorite topic of so many in the diplomatic arena. That was the topic that made her, well, less comfortable. She acknowledged that the shipyards were the main risk magnets to the system. But she knew also that the Mandos had the Confederates for enemies and that, however tempting it was, she couldn't create too many weaknesses in the grid without risking backlash from the Mandos. The very same Mandos that may seem prone to forming ad hoc rogue groups for attacks on various planets. The very same Mandos that aren't beyond resorting to scorched earth strategies as used on Eshan. To her Mando defense plans were made so that, on a strategic level, any world of any value would have some defenses in place, some forces stationed there, too. However, she knew she needed to act in good faith when it came to security since the balance of power in this area of the galaxy was, in fact, pretty fragile. And those pesky pirates would still need a clear message to send on the Mandos' part.

"Maintaining a garrison here, both on the ground and in orbit, is key, but even though this planet is an industrial world, it is best to carefully measure the size of the garrison to avoid provoking any neighbors, enough to handle any pirate attack that may occur here, but not large enough to be perceived as a provocation to the Silvers or the Confederates"

Decompression was quick and sudden. One hatch slid open. Nathan clicked his heels releasing the mag boots grip on the deck. They blasted out, sucked clear of the craft, as doors slid shut to seal off the pilots. In a tumble he gripped the Fusion Cutter with white knuckles and hung on for dear life.

"Fire your thrusters pup," A gravely voice snipped inside his helmet.

"Osik."

He fired one side of his jetpack, forgetting for a moment he even had it. On his HUD the target entry point was painted red. The bridge, or damn near it. With the fighters wrapped up pursuing Clan Australis fighters it was a milk run. Or so it seemed.

They careened into the side of the vessel, mag boots and gloves snapping greedily at the metal for a hold. Nathan came in harder than expected, slapping the skin of the craft so hard, the air knocked from his lungs. He wheezed, firing up the fusion cutter and bringing it back for a mighty swing.

"Stay focused, your air will return pup."

"Oya!"

The fusion cutter slammed down, melting white rivulets of steel, which flash froze in the vacuum of the void.

Ten of them were cutting with quick progress, peeling back layers with their Crushgaunts as they cut, and winging them into the path of Pirate fighters.
Hope they got ray shields....

The Torrent-types moved into new positions as they prepared to decloak yet again, but soon watched as a squadron of headhunters joined the fray. He knew Kaine could probably handle it, but he did have another trick up his sleeve.

"[member="Kaine Australis"] try to keep those fighters off us when we decloak. We're basically pure anti-capital ship. Also, do you need some assistance?"

While Mig waited for a response, the stealth torpedo frigates decloaked and laid waste to the pirate vessels, unleashing thirty-two heavy proton torpedoes onto the two remain pirate capital ships. The vessels then quickly slipped away again before thy could be fired on.

Dtardust to to Jessica, then around the table passing each of her side...she knew such a question would come and for sure the question was hard to answer, even stardust wasn't sure of the action they needed to take with this

So she remained quiet except to speak once

maybe I get some wine please, nabooian if possible

She said and then turned back to the group with a smile on her face. Toiling the idea in her head throwing it back and forth before she decided to speak

the United clans of mandalore like to keep each planet running on it's own, that includes keeping the present leaders in their position. As such a small garrison here to protect from pirates and any who wish to cause harm would be place...ah what do you have to say on that adenn?
