ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Superior Firepower: The offensive capabilities of this Fighter exceeds the standard compliment and ratio of it's class, having invested a significant amount of credits in the ships ability to hit strategic targets with maximum effect.
  • Superior Defensive Capabilities: The Rebel D-Wing is equipped with an optimal array of defensive technology and counter-measure munitions in order to keep itself intact during prolonged combat.
WEAKNESSES
  • Blindside: The rear of the Starfighter possesses no offensive firing capabilities, only defensive countermeasures which means that all targets must be brought within range of the vessels crosshairs in order to bring them down.
  • Slow & Steady: Speed and maneuverability have been a lesser priority in the manufacture of this Starfighter whereas offensive and defensive capabilities has been the primary focus. Compared to other craft of its type, the D-Wing's speed and handling is below the standard of its class.
DESCRIPTION

The Rebel D-Wing, otherwise known as D-Wing Space Superiority Fighter, was financed by House Arenais and manufactured within the Mahina Shipyards orbiting the world of Mnemosyne. Taking the original model and modifying it to better suit the needs of The Rebellion, these Starfighters have been detailed in the Rebellion's colours and equipped with some advanced weapon and defensive systems for heavy combat scenarios.

The Rebel D-Wing boasts a wider body than it is long, with four thrusters at the rear of the vessel, a docking station for an Astromech Droid if the pilot has one, and the full standard complement of features expected of such a craft. Thanks to the implementation of Locke & Key Mechanics custom technologies, the Heavy Fighter stands an excellent chance of fending off multiple opponents, however, sacrifices in speed and maneuverability due to its body shape, weight and prioritizing combatant capabilities.
