Faction Punk Crawl [Darkwire]

Code Of Silence
Factory Judge
Ivory gave a lopsided grin at Daiya's little hand-puppet, glancing toward the Latero was he walked away - then turning her attention back toward the pink-haired young woman as she put her hands up in surrender. Daiya's quickfire wit was always a treat, especially when it wasn't directed toward Ivory herself. At the best of times, Ivory had even learned to egg it on.
"Why? Gonna shoot your problems today?" Daiya tipped her chin to point at the weapons strapped loudly to Ivory's person, facing her palms out in surrender as she took a few steps back. "I didn't start it!"

She stood a little straighter, clearly taking some pleasure in the recognition that she was heavily-armed & dangerous. Amused, the raven-haired Rebel put on her best dead-eyed stare - which wouldn't last long. "All I need's a reason." She quipped, winking one eye. Toward the departing Latero's back, Ivory mimed her own action - making the sign of a finger-gun pulled from a quick-draw & dropping her thumb, mimicking the falling of a hammer. She accompanied the motion with the sound of a gunshot, muttered under her breath: "Pow"

It was a good thing the squat, bearded Hanger Master didn't turn around at that very moment, or else it might have escalated then & there.

The sudden appearance of Hex Hex and the unmistakeable, short, orange-furred Under Foot Under Foot drew her attention, and Ivory stood by as Hex & Daiya shared an affectionate greeting. She couldn't help but chuckle at the obvious embarassment written on Daiya's face - knowing full-well that she & the ginger-haired young man got up to much more than what they let on. Cartri Keswoll Cartri Keswoll 's voice rang out from a distance away, and Ivory couldn't help but chuckle.

Sometimes, yeah. They were that bad.

Ivory tilted her chin upward and gave the signal of a "V" with two fingers in a universal greeting toward the Squib before turning her attention toward the large shipping container. The damn thing looked dented, covered in rust, and entirely unfit for storing anything - much less water.

Spinning on her boot heel, Daiya let her shoulder bounce against Hex, pretending as if pocketed hands had hidden her balance away as well. She pointed to the cargo container in front of them with her chin. "We're making it into a pool, where scantily clad's gonna be a rule!"

"You're gonna turn that thin-"

Suddenly, her incredulous question was interrupted by a loud crash. The ground under their feet shook. She turned, seeing that Cartri had rotated the crane too far & struck another with enough force to topple it - then continued to watch from afar as Cartri exchanged "words" with one of the workers. Ivory reached up, pinching the bridge of her nose between two fingers and shaking her head in mock-disappointment before turning to catch the pleading look on Daiya's face. A tiny grunt of laughter escaped from her belly as Cartri asked if they'd seen anything - but Ivory didn't respond right away. Instead, she just watched the young man climb back into his crane with a look of awe on her face.

"I would, but I don't want to, uh... intrude," the Squib answered honestly, even as he glanced over at Cartri Keswoll.

"Do you need help with the cargo loader?"

"Oh, you're not intruding. You know what you're doing. All Cartri is good for is breaking things." Ivory joked, glancing down sideways toward Underfoot.

She turned, glancing behind her toward Ruby Jaxx Ruby Jaxx & Johnny Diamonds Johnny Diamonds - wondering what they thought of the amusing chain of events. She flashed them both a grin and a half-shrug, as-if to say: What can you do?

Poor Hex hears voices in her head

Hex speech to others
Hex speech to herself

Hexes inner voices
'...Neutral...'
'...Doubt...'
'...Anger...'

Coloured '.....' are also words that Hex can hear , but I decided not to write them to reduce clutter

Hex stuck her tongue out playfully as Cartri Keswoll Cartri Keswoll and Daiya Daiya both responded to her teasing, with Daiya giving her a friendly little shove. The container was huge, it was going to be quite something when it was filled with water and teenagers. She followed Daiya over to the container and ran her fingers against the cold steel. "This is going to be so cool! Now we just need twenty thousand bottles of Lum to fill it!" she giggled and grabbed on the side of the container. Hex grunted as she pulled herself up and climbed to the lip at the top, her arms flailed and she wobbled back and forth as she found her balance on the thin metal strut work that surrounded the top edge. The container was pretty deep, she could probably dive in if it was full.

Hex quickly shifted her weight as the whole container moved under Cartri Keswoll Cartri Keswoll 's "gentle" hands, she shot him a look and shouted down to Daiya "If boys did their jobs, us girls wouldn't get to feel superior!"

'......'
Hex blushed at the voice in her head as her eyes widened.

She needed to change the subject "Hey, Undie...! Do Squibb like to swim?" she couldn't decide if he was more dog like or more cat like, it was a big difference, she giggled as she imagined her friend emerging from the pool with all his fur clinging to him like a dog, then flicking everyone as he shook himself dry. Was that speciesist? Perhaps?

'...maybe a little bit, keep it to yourself...'
"I am the model of discretion thank you!"
she giggled.

Standing on the edge and watching Knuckles fight with the controls, she rocked back and forth, feeling her centre of gravity beg to take her over the edge. She might fall, but this wasn't much different to being on her board really. There were more women here now too, Ivory Stroud Ivory Stroud she remembered from the court mission a while ago, but Lucia Ives Lucia Ives she had no idea. She raised her hand and smiled a greeting if they noticed her.

Climbing back into his bumper Car Cartri reversed it backward at first and proceeded to hover past the ladies who were laughing at his antics behind him. One of the people he particularly narrowed his eyes at was Ivory Stroud Ivory Stroud who he heard commented he was only good at breaking things. Driving a bit closer so they could all hear, Cartri decided to speak his mind on the mob boss who called him a kid of destruction "I dread to think what condition you'd be in after doing this in your old age Ivory!" he said with a laugh before moving away a bit faster than he wanted to.

Soon enough he made it to one of the ship stalls without any more incident and managed to set it down after a few tries. After a relieved sigh, he got out of the hover lift and began to slowly walk back to the group of chatting ladies. Why did he have to be the only boy in this group? being always outnumbered by the woman was a pain in the ass sometimes, especially considering they didn't stop talking for hours on end.

The person he stood by was Under foot, a person he had seen a few times but never spoken to "It's all sorted now, but thanks for offering anyway. The names Cartri by the way" he said with an outstretched hand to introduce himself. It was always cool to meet new people, even better if they were helping out with their cause "Whatever they say, don't believe them. I'm more useful than what my fists have to offer" he said with a sarcastic crack to show off a little.

"It's all set up Daiya, I expect payment in the next 24 hours" he joked before moving over slightly to place a kiss on her cheek, showing that he was more than happy to do anything for her "I'm unsure about what you're going to do with the water part, but I'm confident the brains of you ladies will come together to form a half-decent plan" the grinned slightly with a fold of his arms, smug on getting his own back from their comments.

"Unfortunately for Ivory, I'm afraid she'd probably only offer ideas that were outdated 1000 years ago"

The giddy teen grinned as her friends jabbered around her, poking fun at each other along with her. Daiya let it all wash over her for a moment, her eyes fixed on the giant cargo container that was to be her newest project. She giggled when Hex climbed up to its lip, walking along the edge and balancing —somehow!— as it was moved into place. Daiya shouted up to her friend, as the container started to swing toward its final resting place, "You really love living on the edge, don't you Hex?!"

Her hands clapped together when the container settled into place, rushing forward through the cloud of dust and rust flakes that settled on her clothing. Daiya ignored it, her mouth hanging open as she surveyed the container, her mind already picturing what the finished product would look like. "Just a little paint, some water...or lum."

She grinned up at Hex, her heart swelling as a kiss landed on her cheek. Daiya spun, wrapping her arms around her boyfriend to kiss him directly on the lips. "Thank you," the teen kissed him again, "so much," and one more time before Cartri wound up wearing most of her lipgloss. "It's the best thing ever!"

A giggle bubbled on her lips, and Daiya pulled apart from her boyfriend. She offered up a hand to Hex if her friend wanted to get down and join her in circling the container. "Well, you're right Hex," the teen declared as she found the rest of her friends again. She nodded, trying hard to hide her grin to look as serious as she could, even tapping a finger to her chin. "That's gonna take a chitload of lum to fill up."

"Hmmm," Daiya turned around, casting her gaze at the beings and ships around her. "Don't 'spose anyone's been to the bars yet? Filled their pockets? No?" A grin slipped through underneath the teen's finger, and she swatted at the side of her mouth to make it fade. Her toes curled up, and Daiya kicked off as the wheels emerged from the heels of her boots, carrying her along the line of vessels parked inside the flagship's hangar. She stopped quickly, her arms windmilling for a moment, to gape at the biggest ship she had ever seen up close. "Oh."

"My."

"Stars!" Daiya beamed and waved her friends back over again, hopping between her boots. Her arms pointed at the superyacht parked awkwardly next to the shabbier, slapdash versions of Darkwire's vessels. "C'mon, c'mon!" Daiya urged, and while she waited the teen called up the flagship's database to look at who had brought that vessel. There was no way any of them were that rich.

When Daiya learned the name, she burst out laughing. "He's gonna hate me..." To the rest, she pointed at one of her favorite shadowrunner's new kicks and promised, "Pretty sure Pool Boy won't mind if we help ourselves to the liquor cabinet on that one, there's prolly three of them anyway. Plus whatever else we find..."

Grinning, she beckoned others to follow her onboard.

Cassus left behind his experience with the cyborg Latero and was set to go exploring the behemoth ship. He was looking to go and brag to a familiar face, and he was sure to find one on the ship. The Captains-Council-In-Exile had hired a significant surplus of Shadowrunners to ensure their safety from corporate entanglements. Darkwire used the opportunity to gather recruits for the organization on their voyage to the infamous republic's port of choice.

However, Cassus was unfamiliar with the retrofitted derelict and massively underestimated its massiveness. After wandering the ship for a solid hour, he didn't see anyone he recognized. Probably in the bars or whatever else the ship had. Did he overhear something about a Tattoo-Parlor and a fighting pit? He wasn't sure about the rules for that, but if he did go down there, he should be prepared, so he started to make his way back to The Gift of Presence. Some of his gear was left onboard the ship temporarily, and he could probably take some time to reprogram a Tracking Fobb to "hunt down" one of his friends on the gargantuan ship.

"What the-" Cassus exclaimed as someone brushed past him, exiting his stolen yacht with booze. A sizable group of individuals entered and left his trophy ship with liquor in hand. A few of them were looking more familiar as he approached them...

"Ah, kriff it all! No wonder I couldn't find any of you ghouls. You're raiding my bounty!" Cassus gestured at them rudely, looking more confused than agitated as more booze left the care of his cabinets. "Shortage in the brewery or something?"

She could feel that it was going to happen, it itched in her limbs and pulled at the back of her thoughts with every trip she made from the superyacht. Bottles jostled and clanked in her arms, try as she might to keep them quiet. The teen just had to hope they weren't so delicate as to shatter before their contents were all swimming inside her makeshift pool.

The thought kept a grin etched on her face, probably glazing over her eyes too. Daiya couldn't help it when it finally happened and she bumped into him, barely managing to keep the bottles from spilling out onto the hangar floor. "Chit!" All but one. "C'mon, Cassus, can't you see we're trying to plunder your new ship's liquor cabinet? You could help..."

Daiya actually had the perfect job for him.

"We need a couple strong guys for the next part, anyway, and..." she added, only just thinking of the offer in the moment. It made sense, even if she'd have to strangle her impatience to make it happen. "We'll let you boys have first dibs at the pool when it's done."

Calling Cartri over, and Under Foot as well, Daiya repeated her offer again before explaining what she needed from them. "That cargo container's a bucket of rust, it needs some cleaning and a few repairs before we can fill it with..." The teen glanced at the bottles she'd been carrying out. It had been a good idea, but she wanted a real swim first. "We'll have to get water from the flagship's tanks or something. We'll make it work once it's pretty again. Deal?"

Of course it was, the boys weren't too stupid to see the fun to be had in a pool.

"Meanwhile, us ladies will work on the paint job." Daiya gathered her girlfriends around her after having them arrange the bottles in a place safe from the stilt-legged hangar master. "Maybe we'll visit the tat shop onboard for some ideas, they'll have good designs." Especially if it was anything like the Denon-based location. "We can make the pool look a-mazing after the boys fix it up, amirite?"

"Then everyone gets to swim."
