Once Upon A Time In Rodia

It seemed to happen in slow motion for Chipper as his sensors detected a foreign object speeding towards his location. Moving his head up just in time as a stream of blaster bolts from a cannon rained down above him. The sudden impact against his droid shield from above brought his shielding module down to 85% according to his rapid response system. The Junk Droid understood that any more heavy assaults from the Mandalorian would disable him and leave him unable to protect his charge any further. His threat detection system began a full scan of the person within the air just out of his reach currently.

Going through some public databases to confirm that it was a Mandalorian with a considerable threat level. Chipper knew that leaving his current position would put his charge in danger but wanted to eliminate the threat quickly.

"Threat Identified: Mandalorian"

"Threat Level:
90"

He said without a hint of emotion, a mechanical sound was heard from underneath him as his Rocket Boosters blasted him into the sky at a considerably fast pace despite his large bulky frame. Although he would not be as quick or agile as Thonn Rokkal Thonn Rokkal which would put him at a disadvantage.

Bringing his weapon arm forward and blasting away at him with his own rapid assault module installed within.

After giving the man the playful punch to his shoulder, Venari listens in giving him a slight nod as he finishes speaking. Right before all the action starts, she does just as suggested, finding her way up onto a rooftop to give herself overwatch of the whole area.

Still keeping a distance she eyes the target through her scope.

:All sights on target, fire at will:

And as Thonn Rokkal Thonn Rokkal was given the go ahead, Venari sees a swarm of shots pelt the shields on the massive scrap droid. The action had begun, and so now it was her turn. Setting the model 39 on full auto she removes her worn cloak, showing off her trademark Beskar helmet. The gun roars with a dominating ferocity as a whole other set of sizzling rounds pierce the skies, most slam right into their target while some just barely miss and end up pelting the building, melting and scorching where they landed.

"Chakaaryc beskar'ad!"

She hisses at the droid before jetpack jumping to another roof in order to keep distance, the foundling's scanner goes off, making sure that if any other thugs were in the area she would know about it.

Smoke expels from the barrel as Venari takes aim for another spray, this time setting it to burst fire so that nothing missed.

"Hey! Scrap heap!"

The foundling screams out at the droid to try and keep its attention away from Thonn, it was clear that the model 39 packed some serious heat. The droid was pincered, one target would have to be a priority over the other, or backup would need to get to the droid quickly.

Zlova spared the young Lethan Twi'lek a discrete peek and a warm smile -- which any number of customers would think belonged to them -- when she neared the stage. She was cute. Dangerous, but cute. Nothing Iasha Rha Iasha Rha did exposed her per se. Someone with a long career like Zlova, however, could discern things about a person in the way they held themselves, how they moved, the way they talked... They hadn't the pleasure of conversation yet though. A professional instinct that there was more than a sexy servant that drifted among the rabble. Alone it didn't mean anything; just something about the woman of note, and that might warrant some personal attention later if circumstances permitted.

Mission first, flirting second. Sometimes both at the same time.

The song came to an end and Zlova gave the crowd a complimentary doubling over at the waist and blown kiss to her fans. With long, fluid motions her red legs carried her off to one side as the next dancers ascended.

The number of criminal elements flooding the establishment had slowed dramatically. Likely their little meeting had gotten under way. About time to figure out the next move.

Deal with the Sith and Consortium with as little attention as possible. Deal with the Sith and Consortium with as little attention as possible. So, strictly speaking, maintaining a low profile the entire duration of the encounter was not a mission parameter. Merely keeping the Rodians from realizing that the Sith and Consortium had been dealt with at all was desired. Whether altogether or as a result of Mandalorian intrusion hardly mattered. It gave a twisted woman ideas.

Poison wouldn't work. They were exceedingly paranoid and would smell it no matter the method. Gas was obviously out as Sith weren't prone to falling asleep. An explosive was pointless since the Force could contain the blast -- or the Sith would throw a member of the Consortium on the explosive to deaden the concussive force. Crashing a ship into the club would defeat the 'discretely deal with' clause; sure, ships crashed, but through a Rodian city dome and into a nightclub with pinpoint accuracy? Besides, the Force would tell the Sith ten minutes out they needed to leave.

Assassinating Sith Lords -- especially of such rank -- was a serious pain. Every Acolyte understood this pain. Every Knight dreamt of the day it could be realized. Few ever successfully managed it. Those that did were often destined for great things. Terrible, yes, but great.

Zlova had dealt with hers, of course. But that was one Lord. There'd been others, but this many of this caliber? Troublesome.

As she merrily ruminated on the state of affairs, the red vixen smiled, laughed, and slipped through numerous fingers before she disappeared into the kitchen. Perhaps something with a little punch that wouldn't immediately scream 'foul play.' Something that would set off all that tension and angst in the room. In a perfect world they'd think each betrayed the other and kill one another. A woman could dream. Still, chaos and disorder, plus excising the 'innocent' from the scene should suffice... It would only take a few minutes to set the dominoes in motion.

Unless certain Mandalorians busted into the place. Well, her plan could still work then. The confusion could mask an overt entrance -- the mind (and memory) were funny things.

Flying and firing took a lot of finesse, and a lot of practice, the latter which he had with a rotary cannon that was weighted completely differently. He was still getting used to the MS-01, and the awkwardness in his handling of the weapon showed. Blaster bolts rained down everywhere. While most of them went wide, enough had scored a hit. It didn't mess the droid up that bad, but it had clearly caused enough damage to grab the thing's attention. The metal beast turned towards him, smoke still wafting from the handful of scorch marks the volley of shots had left him with.

"Threat Identified: Mandalorian"

"Threat Level:
90"

The droid audibly confirmed that attention was now upon Thonn, and even ranked his aggressiveness. He scored a threat level of ninety, based on whatever scale the droid happened to be using. If it was out of one hundred, ninety wasn't bad, but still Thonn had to wonder if he could get that number up any higher. If he'd known Chipper was going to be assessing his aggressiveness, he'd have made a wager with Venari before hand. Part of him wanted to know just how much it would cost to have one of those models back on Tor Valum to see who could score the highest on the purchased droid.

Mechanisms whirred and audibly clanked before blasts of fire burst from beneath the metal beast, launched suddenly straight into the air. Oh man, it can fly too? Now he just had to have one. As soon as he got back, he'd have some ideas to pitch to Alora Vizsla Alora Vizsla . Anything this crazy and reckless just had to be fun.

The metal monster rose higher and higher, and Thonn was completely unable to direct his own blaster fire skyward towards Chipper without veering into the pavement beneath. Venari, however, had a good firing position and was pelting it with blaster fire while he could not. All he needed was its attention, and he had that. He also had it's return fire. He didn't much want that, but expected it anyhow. Rather than touch back on the ground, Thonn opted to his the throttle on his jetpack to rise upward and laterally in an effort to dodge the shots he fired.

"Hey! Scrap heap!"
Thonn wondered what sort of score Venari was gonna get.

Another round of laser fire occurred underneath him from Venari Krayt Venari Krayt which brought his shielding down to 75% and decreasing. Although even with all the heavy firepower coming towards his direction his shielding was top of the line. Thonn Rokkal Thonn Rokkal managed to avoid his own rapid fire module by flying upwards which made sense. It would seem that they wanted to divert his attention from protecting the building with his charge in it. His battle systems went into overdrive to develop adequate counter measures to the mandalorians as scanners went to work on the mandalorian down below.

Chipper moved his right claw was launched from its holder like a grapple hook towards the building that Venari Krayt Venari Krayt now occupied for a moment. Snatching a hold of the building's edge and propelling himself forward like a sling shot towards her while blasting away with his sonic cannon module within his weapon arm. Although he would not forget about Thonn Rokkal Thonn Rokkal as the clear dome on top of his body opened up and propelled several Blazer Bombs high into the air to make it deadly.

Before Alisteri could step too far away from the kiosk in search of the roaring creature, a Can-Cell flew over the plaza with it's great buzzing wings as it went deeper into the city. Whether it was heading towards something or going away was another matter, and one that he wouldn't have the time to think on too much. There was something else heading into the plaza as well after all.

Not long after the large insect had flown overhead, another beast smashed through one of the stalls with an angered roar. The shoppers and store owners finally started to scatter and run, drawing the attention of the beast. It leapt upon the nearest group of bystanders it didn't touch the ground nor did it sink it's claws or fangs into one of the terrified civilians. Rather, Alisteri impaled the beast straight through on his red blade and threw it's corpse aside with a grunt.

The Sith rolled his shoulders as he glanced at the beast's body, similar roars reaching his ears as the pounding of paws upon stone began echoing all throughout the city near the dome's breach. Well this certainly complicated matters. A glance around the plaza revealed that there were still a couple civilians, peeking up from behind benches or around kiosks and staring at him. "Well? What are you waiting for? Shoo!"

Without further delay Alisteri sprinted away from the plaza and right into charging beasts, lighting crackling in his free hand before he loosed a bolt at the nearest creature. It whined and it's charge faltered as the bolt scorched and singed it, nearly making it topple over as the other two member's of its pack kept rushing forward.

One of them leapt at the Sith but a wide slash of his lightsaber carved the beast in two, side stepping the body as the other creature tried to charge into him and knock him down. It did manage to get him on the ground but a quick punch to it's eye kept it from pouncing onto him. The masked man pushed himself up and readied his lightsaber, the wounded beast roaring and turning to face him right as he thrust into it's head. It fell limp and he pulled back just in time as the last beast shook off the singing fur and began bounding towards him once more.

Alisteri couldn't move much given that the beast's packmates were dead on either side, but he wasn't about to sit idly by and let it charge at him. He leapt up and caught the creature off-guard by landing on its back, plunging his lightsaber down through its head and ending the beast. The body skidded across the ground, still slightly propelled by its charge, but he was quick to hop off before it could roll over on him.

"A simple meeting of Sith and Hutts my a-" Another roar cut him off and he sighed, shaking his head in frustration. There was nothing simple when it came to Sith diplomacy. At least this time the monsters were literal, and killable. He turned to face the dome and sprinted off to join the fray once more, eager to stop the onslaught of beasts.

Well it was a good thing she never did make a bet about threat levels with Thonn, the droid seeming to view her as a write off. Venari takes in a deep breath, cranking the gun to EMP mode and shooting off right before three heavily charged EMP rounds escape the smoking barrel. Slamming against the shield to hopefully weaken it far more than regular bolts, the gun is then cranked right back into full auto.

Seeing that she managed to get the attention of the droid despite being just an annoyance, Venari waits just as the heavy droid starts to barrel towards the building. Lowering her head for a moment before sending off two missiles, using the velocity of both the scrap droid and the missiles to nail them right into the thing.

Her eyes widen as the salvo of bombs is shot into the air.

:MOVE YOUR ASS THONN! BOMBS HEADING YOUR WAY!:

As she yells on comms, Venari herself adjusts her feet, getting ready to jump up in the air. The sonic gun only doing minimal to the foundling thanks to the sonic dampener in her armor, yet it did help delay her jump, keeping Venari on the roof as mild ringing pestered her ears.

"Rrrggg!"

The Mandalorian growls as her ears were pestered, beyond thankful that she had a dampener..

Darth Empyrean Darth Empyrean was the first to speak; offering considerable reign over the Underworld of the Triumvirate and even his own domain for the Consortium's expansion. The man's words were true to some extent as the Hutt Cartel kept the underworld from growing out of control. Without them than many criminals could run amock without someone to organize them causing headaches for the Sith Order moving forward.

He additionally offered to extend military support which would benefit them considerably. Of everyone mentioned within his speech the greatest danger to them both would be the Mandalorian Enclave. They were considerable warriors with only a few others even coming close to their level of training and skill within the galaxy. There open hostilities towards the Sith Order and the Consortium's Shadow Domain were known.

"An interesting proposition, Mighty Empyrean. Although I believe the Mandalorian Enclave be our greatest threat and the fastest to be eliminated if we combine our forces moving forward."

Ozzmo said with much support over the proposal presented. Then Aktur Seii Aktur Seii began to emerge from the shadows and sent quite a message that he would carry on the negotiations in the hutt's place for the time being. The Hutt simply sat back and grabbed his smoking pipe as words were exchanged back and forth across the table. Akur confirmed that the Consortium was publically limited to Hutt Space but had over-arching ambitions within the Criminal Underworld. And provided more of the finer detail that he neglected to inform the others at the table.

Darth Ophidia Darth Ophidia seemed to move in a totally separate direction from Empyrean. It would seem that not all operations were open to the Consortium as a matter of security. Next in the speaking order established was Darth Carnifex Darth Carnifex who echoed his statements about the Bryn'adul Empire and how the order could assist the cartels in exterminating them from the galaxy as payment.

"The Gorensla Kajidic would gladly take you up on your offer, Lord Demiurge even if the consortium as a whole is not moving in that direction."

Ozzmo said without a hint of hesitation within his voice, when an opportunity knocked on your doorstep for expansion and more profit across the board. Than you would be a fool not to accept even if your faction moved in a separate direction. Looking back at Varm Nul Varm Nul for a moment. Something was happening he could tell by the slight body changes in the sith in front of himself.

"Nul, would you mind checking the building's security for a moment."

<"Huuuh? Next week?"> Alora stepped to the right to avoid a Big Doggie as it rushed by. <"But I wanted him to sample more Hot Chocolates this week!"> Well, she couldn't just let Shai off the hook with that comment about babysitting. <"Besides, I made a new droid for him to chase."> With a little more time she might have the perfect tuckering droid made so War Ma could get some peace time to time.

A short while later Alora knelt in a domicile with the loud bangs of something flailing about in the hallway. These wild creatures seemed excessive aggressive for just happening to come across a hole in the dome. Now, it might not be their fault, but Alora was totally blaming the Sith for all this ruckus. It wasn't like anyone would find fault in blaming them. Most Sith probably wouldn't even complain... unless they found the entire affair beneath them.

"Okay. This isn't your home, right?" Alora smiled for the Rodian child that stood before her with their big eyes and slender snout. The smile grew with the young one's shake of the head signaling the room they were standing in wasn't where they lived. That was good. She'd found this poor kid hiding with who knew where their parents were, and a rampaging beast chasing a lightly armored Mandalorian woman through the halls. Naturally, Alora couldn't leave them there on the off chance they weren't eaten.

"Right." She slipped an arm about him. "Hold on tight." As she stood to her feet with the kid's arms wrapped about her torso, Alora's honey-brown eyes turned in the direction of the busted door in time to see the beast sweep into view down the hall. Yep, today was just all full of excitement. As it charged, Alora turned and darted deeper into the dwelling. One hard shove sent Alora rolling in the air to slam her back into the closed window.

A symphony of shattering glass filled the air as the two sentients sailed straight out into the open air several stories off the ground.

Yeah. She could really have used a disruptor pistol right about then, she thought as they fell.

Air was forcibly expelled when Alora's back slammed into the awning of a stall on the side of the road. A split second later the fabric tore and she was sent straight into the ground. A dusty cloud was kicked up from all the commotion that hid them from view for a moment. Hungry Boi above, naturally, was left behind. Few creatures actually thought falling multiple stories was an acceptable tactic for retreat or pursuit -- something about dying.

The little one was rolled off Alora's as she'd protected him from all the hard impacts. Apparently today's role was that of a Shield Maiden. Literally: Shield. Maiden. And if the young woman were someone else they'd probably have a few things broken at that point.

When she sought to sit up, her eye caught sight of a number of knives scattered about a nearby bench. Who were these people? Just knives laying all over an unattended stall in the street? Seriously. Few inches more and she'd have dropped right on them. All kinds of warnings were going off in her head as it was without some sharp thing jab in some place.

"Alright," Alora grunted as she got a foot beneath her to rise shakily. "Go on.. that way.. I'll hold the nasties here, 'kay?" Best effort at a prize winning smile, but the cuts and bruises definitely added a little shake to it. Kid could run off in the direction the rest had gone. Alora had some business in the area to keep tending to matters. "Stay close to the buildings. Peek around corners!" she called out after the sprite. There were some flippy-flappy types around too; no point running in the middle of the street begging to get swooped up.

As she took the first step to leave, Alora paused, turned and swept one of the longer blades off the table. This would come in handy.

Speaking of Sith, Alora blinked when she saw a glowstick wielding figure charging about with the usual bloodthirsty zeal. Should she say 'hi' or 'die?' No point wondering; why not ask? "Hey, Crimson Rod, you killing beasts?" Ally with a Sith? Eh, long as they weren't killing innocent people it wasn't allying so much as they just happened to be both headed in the right metaphorical direction.

hsc-me-so_Rodia_small_ObI_v2.png

The political dealings of her lord were wholly uninteresting and beyond her concern; from the shadows, hidden beyond sight and sound through the Force, a towering assassin of darkness watched on in utter silence. The rafters above, of various forms of steel and other metals, were necessary to hold the various spinning lights, dancing lasers, and sound systems to provide this club with the seedy atmosphere that the customers so desired. It was just so fortunate then that they could provide plentiful places for secretive sorts to hide - and so it was there that the towering Anubian cultist had stationed herself, just a couple meters above the meeting of Sith and Underworld lords. Never once did the hidden assassin's eyes leave her lord and master, Darth Carnifex Darth Carnifex , even as her senses beyond the natural five were cast to the winds of the Force.

Within a second's time - far too long by her own standards, and surely coming with a self imposed consequence of flagellation - did she come to sense what was coming as well; DANGER COMES.

Quite immediately, the towering assassin's mind casts out a new link into the Force - a desire for communication between dark minds with Demiurge, the nearest of her lord's copies. Nearly all other individuals, be they Sith Lords, disguised dancers, or gargantuan Hutts, are practically ignored by this single-minded zealot.

Most holy Lord, this one beseeches thee to call upon your humble servant.

Even before the blade was pointed in her direction, she could sense it coming without even looking behind her. She turned, aiming her slugthrower and shooting a single shot for its crossguard, unbalancing it. Then, she shot a fibrochord out to bind it to a wall. Whether or not it landed, the girl already was moving on to the next thing, though she kept track of the weapon with her Force Sense.

Staying at the high ground, she used her HUD system and cybernetic eyes to keep the best track she could of the Sith Alchemy at play. Her lips curled in a snarl as a Mandalorian puppet emerged from the light. She pulled out a second pistol, a blaster pistol, and hissed at the mockery of Mandalore this Sith was using. Still, she had to keep her head. He was trying to toy with their emotions, get them to lash out in reckless rage. But in battle, anger had to be tethered and contained. She would not fall for this trap.

She had to save the slugthrower rounds for the Sith. So, she aimed her blaster at the Mandalorian, refusing to hesitate. If this truly was the soul of a vod, she would have to end the suffering of fighting their own kind quickly. It was the only kindness she could afford. She fired. Several distracting rounds were sent for the armored warrior, immediately followed up with another explosive from her gauntlet aimed for him. Even then, she was not finished. She used her jetpack, leaping off the tower and flying right for her target. Firing more blaster bolts, she put her slugthrower pistol away and grabbed a lightsaber hilt. At full speed, she was flying straight for him. With haste and force, she reached her opponent. She aimed to slam the barrel of the pistol, which had still been firing, into his buy'ce. Immediately, this would be followed by the sudden activation of her shoto lightsaber, blade aimed to penetrate one of the gabs of armorweave between the beskar platings. This was a fast and ruthless execution.

I'm sorry, vod.

Whatever Shai had in store, Gwyn was right there now. If she had been able to dismiss the conjured Mandalorian, she could easily go in for a diversion.

When Darth Ophidia responded, Aktur turned his dark eyes toward her and listened. It was understandable, there would obviously be private pursuits from all involved, that went without saying. The Crime Lord felt that his thoughts on the specifics were fairly well defined, without crossing any kind of threshold for audacity on the Consortium's behalf. They didn't want much, in terms of sector control, so beyond that was open for the Sith - in whatever form or group they operated - to slice up as they would.

"Likewise for the Consortium," Aktur nodded as he smiled. "Just as you will undoubtedly make moves in your interests, so will we. And will also remain mutually obligated to agreements made here. After all, we have no reason to undermine one another's efforts - we want similar things, in different areas."

It all seemed fairly straight forward, the other side of the meeting table agreeable, though admittedly the proverbial paint had yet to dry or truly even be applied fully, yet.

Then it was Carnifex's turn to speak, as the hulking sentient spoke in a pointed manner. The opinions shared weren't untrue, the Bryn'adûl had been a problem for many in the galaxy, and in most ways that destructive force had been replaced with the Maw. But that was another topic for another time, Aktur supposed. Insofar as the Bryn'adûl, it seemed they had been quiet or at least subdued, yet wounded beasts could often become the most dangerous. And the damage wrought to Hutt space couldn't be denied, which had taken considerably time and effort to improve. Nonetheless, Carnifex continued, and outlined the mutual gain to be had between both parties collusion...

"It just so happens our interests join together more neatly than a perfectly cut corusca gem," Aktur mentioned, as he glanced toward the more distant interior of the club. There were other sentients that moved throughout, further away, but were not forgotten. "And the Bryn'adûl most certainly brought ruin to whatever they touched, with Hutt space not being spared in any regard, so it certainly makes sense to be aware of their presence and movements. And if they seek to reestablish themselves in this section of the galaxy, I do not see the Consortium avoiding a stand against the threat."

Aktur looked back to Carnifex, then to Ozzmo.

"I cannot say how our involvement would materialize, given our strengths in different areas to your own, but we will certainly do our part."

There was no way the Bryn'adûl would regain a foothold in Hutt space. And if that meant supporting other efforts to ensure that, it was a consideration worth taking. It also seemed the time to listen to others, as Aktur settled into the chair and did so, even as the Hutt present called for a sweep of the club for security checking via the Duros mercenary. There was danger, certainly, to expect a meeting such as this without it was blatant ignorance, but Aktur had also brought some of his own insurance... even as he felt the ever-so-subtle ripples of the life energy around him.

In the Crime Lord's ear, a single click of an encrypted comlink sounded.

Aktur continued to smile.

varm_spacer_test.png
The meeting had been going surprisingly well so far, the mercenary had to admit.

In truth, the Duros had expected things to divulge into a squabble of ego and power display, but those present seemed fairly rational about the gains for working together. No matter how well things went, though, there remained the potential for danger in various forms - whether betrayal, ambush, assassination, or any number of threats from a number of sources.

It made being protection difficult.

When the blue-green Hutt called for a security check, Varm Nul nodded his head and tipped the brim of his hat, as he sighed.

"Sure," The Duros muttered, as he pushed off the wall and vacated the space occupied by the individual that smoked nearby. "You got it."

Varm Nul began to move through the club interior, as his large red eyes scanned and passed over numerous sentients. He didn't know what he was looking for, not specifically, but he would know when he saw it. Experience in the bounty hunting and mercenary game had given the Duros good instincts, his gut had served him well for many years, and his skills had seen him teamed up with some of the most prominent hunters in the galaxy.

Hm.

An individual, in familiar armor - particularly the helmet, with scratched up white and rusty-red coloring - moved by in robes and a hood, and caught the Duros' eye. There was a moment of consideration, to continue on his way, but Varm Nul decided a closer look wouldn't hurt. Besides, that same sentient carried a drink in hand, which made no sense, given the headwear... so color the Duros curious.

"Wren," Varm Nul said in a low voice, as he approached the Mandalorian and raised an eye-ridge. "Thought I recognized that helmet front under there."

The Duros kept his hands loose and near his thighs, all casual like, as he wondered aloud:

"Fancy that, of all the dive bars and clubs in the sector... what brings you to this particular establishment?"

Lord Nyâsh

Sigil-1-1.png

Rodia was a cesspool of a swamp. Its inhabitants little more than some lower form of reptiles luckily to were given some technology. They lived in their bubbled homes, protected from the dangers of the outside world, protected from beasts and creatures which would otherwise tear this 'civilisation' apart. So it was more than a bliss to see how someone or something seemed responsible for the superior nature of getting this settlement back.

Nyâsh was standing on a roof of a building from where he could see the hole and beasts pouring in. He had accompanied the Sith mission to this place but had no business with the higher ups in their seclusive meeting. Instead he was wearing a normal human face and observed the locals for most of the day, just before he heard the explosion and made his way up a roof to see what it was.

Now he stood and watched at the front developing.

With curiosity and some mild excitement Nyâsh was observing the single Sith stemming against the tide, the red lightsaber dancing in his hand as it cut down creatures of Rodia. He was feeling the need for battle, the desire for adrenaline rising in himself as he looked at it, as he felt the cold steel pommel of his longsword girded at his side.

With a powerful leap he catapulted himself off the edge of the building, landing down on the stone of the street, one cracking under his actual weight. He would come up and run towards the hole, seeing the Sith mount one of the beasts just to pierce its back with his red blade.

With some focus spared Nyâsh ignited some of the air in front of him and send a small wave of fire towards two of the beasts who tried to move into some alley. The steel then sung its song as he unsheathed it and entered the fight a few meters from the other Sith fighting, the weapon cutting through chitin and flesh with ease.

Allied: Venari Krayt Venari Krayt
Engaging: Chipper

"Threat Level .02"
It seemed like the score couldn't drop below zero, but it could get awfully close. Chipper didn't even award Venari a full point, nor even a tenth of one. Probably for the best, given that he was the diversion and she was the offensive force as they had planned. Results like that might make it easier for Thonn to keep the droid's attention while she blasted away and ripped into his defences. When Chipper launched a grappling hook towards her, said hopes dissipated. He'd have to engage the giant scrap droid again, and with a press of the thruster switch Thonn redirected himself back towards Chipper.

Though it would be far from simple.
:MOVE YOUR ASS THONN! BOMBS HEADING YOUR WAY!:

Venari's warning was timely, granting Thonn a moment to react. Best to dodge them entirely, unless the bombs were homing. Thonn didn't know whether they were, which motivated him to assume they weren't. The volley would be survivable enough, so long as they detonated before making contact with him. Blaster bolts were much less destructive than explosive ordinance, but he could fire a lot more of them. With his rotary cannon still spun up, Thonn fired a volley of rapid blaster shots towards the bomb in hopes that enough of his shots would land and destroy the incoming threat. The inertia of the mid-air firing send Thonn veering again, which was constructive to dodging any bombs he might have missed, but detrimental to regaining control of his momentum. He flew away and then town, regaining control once he was barely away from the ground.

If Chipper was still distracted with Venari, it might be up to him to swap their planned roles and attempt to ambush Chipper with an attack of his own. With his jetpack on full blast, he rose up the side of the building with an explosive charge in hand, setting the fuse to contact Once he had his opponent back in view, Thonn threw the grenade with the roar of his jetpack continuing to propel him skyward.

Once Upon A Time In Rodia

Chipper sped towards Venari Krayt Venari Krayt like an object falling from the sky as three emps impacted against his considerable shielding which brought it down to 55%. Blaster rounds additionally impacted against his shield along with two missiles which brought his shielding down even further to a low of 10%. Having finally touched down on the building that Venari Krayt Venari Krayt was on due to his sonic cannon delaying her jump to another platform.

Thonn Rokkal Thonn Rokkal had considerable luck as the bombs exploded when impacted with rapid blaster fire. Leaving him relatively unharmed. His advanced sensors picked up on the fact that a grenade was heading in his direction. A single turn of his weapon arm towards the explosive blasted it into pieces before any damage could occur to his droid frame. Countless scenarios ran through his tactical systems but each of them would required time, which was vital as his charge was left unprotected down at the club.

"Deactivating Safety Protocols, Engaging Rampage Mode."

Chipper said as a power surge occurred across his form, his arms began to extend as his right claw smacked Venari Krayt Venari Krayt square in the chest to send her off the building. Activating his rocket boosters and going after Thonn Rokkal Thonn Rokkal with his cannon arm swinging back around to deliver a powerful charge of his lightning gun module.

Her eyes widen behind that dark visor, it was a shock that the droid was still on the warpath. She grunts as its heavy metal hand crashes right into her chest, her kinetic gel saving her from broken bones or worse being death. The duraplast plate cracks and flings halfway off the foundling as Venari is sent flying, her back crashing right into a building before she plummets down onto the street. Again, the gel located on her back had saved her from death or a crippling injury. Yet now both her front chest and back lacked the gel thanks to it hardening from the impact, not allowing her chest to take any reduced damage from the crash into the dirt.

She groans in pain, feeling at her lower gut.. Something got fractured or broken. Yet the adrenaline kept her going despite the intense pain, poking her head and gun from around the building to take shots at the now rampaging droid.

Seeing as her duraplast plate had finally had enough, the personal shields connected to her jetpack turn on to give emergency protection.

Her shots would be full auto emp this time, aimed at the droid's gun, hopeful to mess with it before it could zap Thonn Rokkal Thonn Rokkal . Venari knew its shields had to be low and weak, its behavior had fully changed suddenly after she hit it real hard.

:Still alive... My armor is destroyed though, and I think I have some sort of fracture or break.. Perhaps a rib?:

Objective: Attend CrimeCon 874
Vibe Check:
Neutral-Good

Oceiros grinned, sort of like a smug bastard would, "You know, man, I get that a lot."
Not fun enough to share a smoke with, though. That's fine. Not for everyone. "Suit yourself." Oceiros stowed the pack with a shrug. He cupped his hand around his own cigarra and lit it, which might have looked weird, since he didn't have a lighter.
He continued to observe the meeting in silence, save for the occasional puff of smoke. Made being in this room a lot more palatable. Oceiros froze and blinked like an idiot when Ozzmo looked his way, only to quickly realize he was talking to the duros in the groovy hat. Nul. Like null. Groovy name for a mercenary, man.
"Hey, have fun," Oceiros offered to the duros as he made his way out.
Hopefully nothing bad happened. To the building or whatever. It'd harsh the vibe and then Oceiros would have to do something other than stand around smoking like a chimney.

A swift kick and subsequent stab ended another beast that had rushed from around a corner at him, Alisteri quickly moving on and stepping around a civilian as the ran by him. Thankfully this part of the city closest to the dome's breach was swiftly starting to be evacuated as the citizens rushed away from the invading beasts. Unfortunately, that meant that there was nothing between the beasts and the rest of the city.

Other than the creatures having some sort of distraction of course. As he leveled his lightsaber and readied himself for whatever was charging at him next, some unexpected help arrived. He glanced over as someone addressed him. A Mandalorian to be exact. Alisteri supposed that 'Crimson Rod' wasn't the worst thing that he had ever been called if he was honest.

"Well I'm certainly not trying to pet them. Think you can avoid shooting me long enough to kill some beasts Mandalorian?" His last experience with the beskar-clad warriors had not been a pleasant one. From his understanding a fair bit of them held some sort of grudge about their homeworld. Some business with Carnifex if he had to guess. The tyrant seemed talented at making enemies after all, and somehow avoiding consequences because of it. Perhaps that was what all of the commotion in the city was all about.

Regardless he wasn't about to look a gift blaster down the barrel. Not when beasts were pouring in and hungry for his blood anyway. They could sort out old feuds with the new blood later, preferably after all the shooting around the club had died down. Suddenly another Sith leapt into the fray a little further away from the masked Knight, setting two creatures aflame and drawing a sword.

The more the merrier he supposed, anything that meant less casualties sounded good in his mind. Without further delay Alisteri eagerly charged back into the fight and decapitated a beast that had emerged from a nearby alleyway. By now flying creatures were also swooping down to pluck up the fleeing citizens and peck at the occasional food stall, in addition to the rush of creatures that were on foot and claw alike.

Dayn turned, hearing a familiar voice call out to him. "Nul" He replied with a slight nod. This was awkward. Any other day, any other job, Dayn would probably appreciate seeing Varm Nul Varm Nul . The Duros was highly competent, and had showed him a few tricks on Hollastin.

He wouldn't have minded doing another job with Varm, though on this one he had the sense they were on opposite sides. Well, not a sense exactly, he knew that was the case exactly. Bummer.

"Same as you I reckon" the voice filtered through his helmet sounded calm and collected, but the Mando underneath really wished he didn't have to look stupid with a drink in hand while in full gear. Everything served a purpose however.

"Fancy company brings with it fancy bodyguards" The job they had worked together before had been for the Hutt Space Consortium. Dayn gambled that connection would save him now. Varm probably knew his employer hadn't hired in Dayn, but with all the crime bosses of the HSC about, it seemed reasonable to assume they'd have their own resources and retainers.

The next moment someone bumped into him. He was ready to reach for his blaster, until he realized it was just a server. His posture relaxed. "That won't be nece-" Oh feth. "ssary"

Oh this was tremendously awkward.

Not just some Twi'lek server. It had to be that Twi'lek.

Would she buy that he was here on behalf of the HSC? Would he ever get a better chance to get back at her? Could he risk her having the first strike this close? So many questions, so little time. Above all rational thinking was that one line that had been burned into his mind since a young age. No Sith. No exceptions.

Feth it.

He threw the contents of his drink right into her face. Thought that'd come in handy, he allowed himself a smirk. "Excuse us" he said to Varm, before he quickly darted off.

Starting a fight this open seemed a poor idea, not that this was much better. Not knowing exactly where he was going, he was looking for some kind of hallway or back room, away from the center of attention. He had a strong feeling the Sith would give chase... But would Varm?
