Created within a lab at an unknown time and date, Venari along with her AI mother was the result of an experiment that went wrong, yet right at the same time. This lab and or company had been one that operated from the shadows, filling their pockets with the corruption of their intellect, bright minds turned to dark desires. Venari and her AI were simply meant to be one of the tools they could use to fill their pockets with more cash, spending an unknown amount of time dedicated to crafting a strand-cast assassin that would be bonded with a highly advanced combat AI. The result was expected to be an adept killer that would be just as emotionless as the AI planted within their body, using a fleshy vessel that was theorized to help with some aspects along with giving this being technically two minds to work with. This AI had been implanted within the body of Venari as soon as they had been removed from the artificial womb that had carried them, the implantation was done carefully through a difficult surgery, connecting the AI to the whole nervous system and the brain... Truly a technological masterpiece due to the high- if not impossible complexity of this. What was not expected was the fact that they had made the AI too smart, and as it studied the fleshy innocence of the being it was placed within, it became Mother. These budding emotions were not detected by whoever made both of them, and this would be a mistake that would cost them.
Over time the AI became more and more infatuated with their "Daughter" and kept the young girl's innocence, slacking on teaching the girl about what she was supposed to learn in favor of actual education and care. One might think an AI is unable to feel this way, but it was all true. Mother had not only learned the concept of emotion thanks to Venari, but also that of family. Mother holds her daughter to a high level of love, spending many years trying its best to substitute for its organic counterpart.
Neither of them knew where they were or who was pulling the strings, if ever asked they both will describe their old room as just a bright, plain, pure white box. Devoid of any colors or charm, the only visible exit was a vent way up high where they couldn't reach it. Slowly, Mother would collect objects used in the training she was supposed to be giving the girl, all in the hope that she could get her "child" out of the pearly white hell that they both had been stuck in.
Most do not know how, but one day an explosion opened a section of the building to the girl and her motherly AI. Swiftly the AI took control as soon as this opportunity was given to them, they left with haste to get out into the open galaxy and away from that place.
This is the story that is often given, that Mother had taken the child from danger as soon as she could once the opening had arisen. While not fully a lie there are bits of information that the AI doesn't wish to speak about, once the opening had occurred. The deep seeded hatred and anger it had felt for seventeen years had the opportunity to be let out, to unleash what she was meant to do. And so on this unknown date, at an unknown time, upon an unknown planet.. The AI went on a spree, brutally killing anyone and anything that it found in the area, leaving large holes within the walls thanks to the slug thrower the AI had made. Mother had swept and cleared the whole lab in a furious rage, avenging the harm they not only put on the AI but also to her daughter.
Venari herself of course knows nothing of this, being within a trance-like sleep while Mother was in control at the time. When she awoke, her nose got to smell a fresh bowl of soup. She was safely in a room somewhere, Mother leaving her a note to enjoy the food.
Mother had spent much time looking up big names in the area, instantly not trusting the Sith or Jedi due to their practices, along with not trusting many other factions or groups. One stood out to the AI though, using what underground information it could, Mother had found intel on a group known as "The Black Hand Collective" that seemed to at least fit the marks of what types of work Mother would do. At this point before learning of the Black Hand it had been doing almost any job you could think of, hits, drug runs, etc. All in order to feed her poor oblivious child who knew nothing about this, Venari would simply sleep whenever danger was about, Mother making it all seem like a bad dream she would make go away. Her daughter woke up to a warm blanket and hot food, and for Venari she never thought to question it.
The AI had contacted the head of the Black Hand,
Aloy Vizsla
in order to set up a meeting so that the two could talk it out and maybe make a deal. Their meeting had initially started off sour, yet grew fruitful once Mother explained everything to Aloy. The Mandalorian was of course very skeptical of this rough AI, yet she had fallen for the same sweet innocence that Mother herself had grown attached to so many years ago. As Venari herself chimed in, her sweetness and innocence was enough to almost instantly seal the deal. The two came aboard a ship, picked up by
Tae'l Vizsla
, Aloy's daughter. Venari wasn't much for words, being a shy and spooked mess at the time, simply taking some food that was offered to her and skittering off in the ship to eat.
Upon their arrival to Roon, the two were officially now part of the Black Hand, Mother had been under contract to do jobs in order for her daughter to have a place to call home and to have other organic beings to socialize with that Mother trusted. Besides jobs, Mother wished to expand her influence and put her creative mind to work. The AI contacted
Felix Aquila
, and the two meeting to combine their minds on a project. Said project was a disruptor bomb, and while it did enter production it is unknown if it ever bore the fruit that Mother had wished it to.
As time went by, Aloy Vizsla focused their time on
Apollyon The Betrayer
in order to try and right the wrongs she had done. Yet as more days went by, the head of the Black Hand went missing, and with her absence came stagnation. This stagnation eventually made Mother move on to new prospects, yet one thing the AI did not expect was for her innocent baby to leave the nest so to speak. Venari would take up the name she had always wanted, no longer being called or referred to as "The Daughter" anymore, she was Venari now. And with this new name came along a whole new wave of rebellious acts, such as Venari herself wanting to be awake for jobs, or her desire to travel to Denon. The bright neon lights once called to her, drawing her in like a moth to a flame.
Denon was where Venari got a name for herself, doing jobs and shedding her once meek self. Reborn into an almost new person, even getting the street nickname as the "Cyber Dragoon" due to an old metal mask she used to wear that was adorned with a pink neon display of teeth. To the dismay of Mother, Venari got two tattoos on Denon as well. Though her reign as a decently well-known street punk was put to an end when she was tricked into taking out a high-ranking member of a corporation. In a panic she had her eyes and hair changed but to no avail. She was caught and sold off as a slave for a time, but by some miracle, this very slaver had been the target of
Kragr Krayt
and a Jedi. Their slave pen on Denon was put to an end, and Venari had been freed from yet another hell.
And then? Well, she had worked with Mandalorians before, she remembered the ones from the Black Hand and how they were a tight-knit family. Venari had been lost for so long, her time on Denon might have been for the worst, yet she had learned that she was still just an unguided kid. It would be this realization that made her track down Kragr and ask him to be a part of something great, she needed the bonds and guidance that she never really had in her whole life. It may be later than normal, but she wants to bloom and not only become a woman, but also a guided warrior.
