On This Joyous Day... [Silver Jedi/Lev Sanctum and friends]

“Formally casual is a thing!” Kana squinted as she called Corvus’ bluff. She was well-aware that just this once a brush had actually made way though that mop of hers. “I think. I mean, I mean my workplace used to do it on the last day before the weekend way back before. Name might be wrong, I don’t remember.”

Then the blinking started as questions that Kana had no outright answer to was shot one after another. Relationships, gifts and invitations. None of them were exactly questions she had put much thought into. On the question about gifts she truly did not know since she was never invited to these things when she was a kid. At least the question about invitations made more sense, but only after Corvus had explained how she’d interacted with the couple before.

Finally there was the big question. Kana’s mouth remained open as if she expected the words to just jump out of her mouth by themselves. She was at a loss of words on a topic that she really shouldn’t have as much trouble discussing as she seemingly had.

“I… Don’t know, Corvus.” Kana’s teeth gritted in a very panicked expression. “I haven’t thought about that in ages. I mean, maybe? I don’t know…”

“Maybe one day, it’s hard to say. I just don’t-... I- I- Iiii-... I don’t know, Corvus.” Kana’s lips felt dry and her tongue poked out to fix it. “A lot of people behave differently. Some become soft and others seemingly don’t change at all. Me, I…” She swallowed air. There were better opportunities to share intimate secrets. For now they had a wedding to attend. “Look. Yes, I’ve had a few but it was long time ago and they all left me one way or the other.”

“We should have brought a gift but we're running late at this point. Hold on to your butt, we’re going in for a rushed landing.”

[member="Corvus Raaf"] [member="Coci Sinopi"] [member="Thurion Heavenshield"]

It was never a good idea to arrive after the bride but fortunately Corvus and Kana managed to sneak past Coci and Connor just before they went up the aisle. Behind Corvus’ back was a bottle of Whyren's Reserve as a wedding gift. It was either that or a half-eaten ryshcate. And as Coci also hailed from the Eldest Brother it almost looked as though a lot of thought had gone into it.

Of course they were almost late.

Given the choice Corvus would have gladly missed the wedding to hear about the ones that left Kana one way or another. Except the questioning would have rebounded on her and that made her wrinkle her nose absent-mindedly. But at least Kana found the subject as uncomfortable as Corvus, right? That was positive, yes? So they'd parked the conversation and Corvus had changed and they'd literally run all the way to the service.

So Corvus now stood in her robes, a little cold but no doubt warmer than the jump-suit wearer next to her. And so she relaxed and looked to take in the service. It was her first ever wedding that she remembered attending and had no idea if it would last five minutes or five hundred. But in a way she didn’t care. She’d already grown fond of Coci and Thurion and was so pleased and honoured they’d invited her. In truth, she wouldn’t have missed this for the world.

But one question was bugging her and it resurfaced the moment they took their seats, so she whispered it to Kana. “How many is a few?”

[member="Kana Truden"]

[member="Kei Amadis"] speaking to her had eased the tension Nef felt. It was a tradition in her family to offer a gift at weddings as well, but the only thing Nefertari could really offer was the friendship of the house of Sovint, and she would do so when the opportunity presented itself.

Nefertari emerged from the shadows as the people from the clans showed up, she had swapped her usual Jedi robes for a light yellow dress. The bell sleeves concealed her lightsaber, she was still a Jedi after all, and Nef would defend Coci and Thurion if necessary.

Given her upbringing, the people from the clans seemed a bit rough, but they turned out to be decent people once Nef had mingled with them a bit. Sure, some of the men were obviously eyeing her up. The young countess had grown used to this.

She sensed the presence of [member="Coci Sinopi"] and [member="Connor Harrison"] near the entrance of the hall. The beginning of the ceremony was nigh at hand. This is a welcome change of pace Nef thought. I don't know Coci or Thurion that well, but they are perfect for each other

Kana candidly waved her hand with a whisper. “Enough to know it hurts. Now hush, wedding to attend and people to see.”

At least she had been right about the cold, somewhat. It reminded her of the trip she had taken all those years ago to find out who she truly was. An interesting little personal quest but not really something worth dwelling on at this point in time.

'Junko' as it turned out wasn't extremely talkative. She barely spoke to Lady Kerrigan before leaving the reception area. Shaking his head slightly at the mention of the press, he wondered who would see or care that be brought flowers. Perhaps there were spies on board. One could assume though that Junko didn't have the time or patience to deal with such things.

"You look stunning as always, of course the flowers pale in comparison."

The girl was something new for him though. Presumably Judah had heard word about Galina during the Kaeshana briefing, yet this was his first time meeting the girl. He offered up a warm smile and addressed her next.

"Pleasure to meet you Miss Galina. " Judah checked his chrono before offering his arm to Siobhan. "We better get a move on ladies if we're to make it on time. Where is Miss Alcori? Could she not attend?"

[member="Leilani Paaie"]

Hawk smiles lopsided as he spies Leilani in shimmering gray gown. She was breathtaking beautiful. He moves to her side. "Hi." He says. "You look so beautiful." He kisses her cheek. "Stunning." He gushes a little. He was very smitten with her. It was obvious to anyone paying attention that he adored her.

"Looks like we got here in time." He offers Leilani his arm to escort her in. He couldn't wait to introduce her around.

“She can, she was just a bit delayed,” Tegaea said, right on cue. Striding up the ramp, a fur coat about her shoulders as the lovely red dress was not much use on this iceball of a planet!

“Hello, Mr Dashiell, got a date?” she asked, gesturing to his flowers with an amused look. She gave forward and gave her wife and daughter a hug and kiss in welcome

“Hello, girls, sorry I’m late. Engine troubles. Judah, can I please introduce Chesna Chinue?”

The possible demi-goddess gave Judah a kiss on the cheek and just the slightest touch of her mental powers. “Good day to you, Mr Dashiell, I’ve heard so much about you….”

“Stop that, he’s married, and his wife is fearsome when provoked,” Tegaea said sternly.

Appearing in one of the side-entrances, Thurion simply waltzed in unannounced as this wasn't even his wedding. He always felt awkward being the center of attention and didn't want to shed even more of a spotlight on himself if he could help it. He could not. As soon as one of the valkyri guests caught a glimpse of him and Nina still resting his arms, he loudly proclaimed: "All hail the Prince of Midvinter!"

For a moment things went deathly quiet in the enormous hall as heads turned his way, and immediately he found it impossible to count the many eyes fixed upon him. Then came a long array of creaking leather and chainmail as the many guests felt the need to take a bow. Not knowing whether to say anything or keep quiet, he looked to his father stood at the foot of throne. Thrand understood his son's plight offered a sagely nod. "Runa's teats, get up already! No need to get yer fancy dresses dirty." As everyone arose and the mingling resumed at a steady murmur, Thurion breathed a sigh of relief.

Putting Nina down on the floor he took her by the hand before making his way over to his father. "There you are! I was beginning to think you were having second thoughts." Thurion said nothing, instead just walking up and embracing the 100-year-old. Nina noticed the sudden hug-fest and latched onto elder's leg. It didn't last nearly as long as either would've liked. Thrand gave his son a reassuring pat on the back. "You'll do fine, lad. Won't be long, now." He turned to the little one. "And you, my tiny princess, should be joining the bride in walking down the aisle. She'll be waiting for you through those door." Thurion was about to escort her there, but Thrand immediately stepped in.

"No. The groom should not see the bride before it is time. Besides, you have guests to meet and greet. They're all here for you, after all. I'll take her." Again he remained quiet and simply nodded. "Nina, go with grandpa. He'll show you where mom is." Nina nodded and smiled as she took Thrand's huge hand compared to her small one. As his father and daughter left him at the foot of the throne, Thurion turned his gaze towards the sea of people already making themselves comfortable at the many longtables. Skirting the walls were seemingly endless amounts of barrels of mead, and he could see some were already trying to sneak a drink or two from the taps before getting slapped on their fingers by the servant personnel.

"Easy now, Furry. It will be all over, soon..." he mumbled as his palms grew warm and moist.

[SIZE=12pt]“As I will always be there for you Connor. I love you too”,[/SIZE][SIZE=12pt] she said squeezing his arm as she turned to look into his face. Again she took in a breath to steady herself and now she was ready to see Thurion. All she really wanted to do now was simply to see him. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]A gentle knock on the door gained her attention and as it opened a most welcoming sight met her eyes and she smiled widely before her King [member="Thrand Dawnbringer"] and [member="Nina Heavenshield"]. “Oh father, you are sight to behold and Nina there you are”, she said placing her hand on her face and caressing it gently before she moved down to her level and straightened her dress. “You look beautiful”, she added kissing her cheek. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]Coci stood up once more and could see some of the guests in the Grand Hall, “Oh there is many? How .. how is Thurion?’, she said with much concern and a look that would tell Thrand he might have to stop her from running out the door before time. “How much longer Father?”. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt][member="Thurion Heavenshield"] | [member="Connor Harrison"][/SIZE]

With the entrance of the King, and a young girl, Connor knew this must be Coci’s extended family through Thurion.

He smiled and lowered his head graciously acknowledging them and showing his respect, the butterflies fluttering in his stomach around strangers of such great importance.

Looking past the King, following Coci’s eyes to glimpse the Grand Hall, Connor reached over and gently patted the bride’s arm. Although no amount of reassurance could now suffice for the big moment that lay ahead for her.

[member="Coci Sinopi"] | [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] | [member="Thrand Dawnbringer"] | [member="Nina Heavenshield"].

Thrand had to physically stop himself from embracing [member="Coci Sinopi"]'s tender form for fear of creasing her dress, but mostly fearful of squishing the poor babe inside her. That'd be quite the downer. "My child, you look absolutely radiant! Don't you worry about Thurion - nothing gets the best of that lad, I've found. Actually, he seemed terrified, but that's beside the point." He turned to [member="Connor Harrison"], a relative stranger yet a good friend of her and Thurion's.

"You take good care of this blossoming flower, you hear? Gods help you should you happen to step on her dress and she trips", he told him semi-seriously. Turning back to Coci he had trouble keeping his hands in check. "Can... May I feel it?" he asked, referring to her tummy. With her permission he placed a flat palm, rough and coarse from decades of hardship and war, upon the bump of her dress, and almost immediately he could feel his grandson moving about. "I've not felt anything like it since..." He didn't finish his sentence, instead allowing his lips to take form of a slight frown. It only lasted but a moment before remembering the jovial nature of today's event.

"I should leave the three of you alone, for now. Ceremony won't start any sooner by having me stand out here talking to you, I'm afraid." Taking Coci by the hand he placed a most delicate kiss upon it before offering Connor a nod. He then turned and exited the same way he came. "Alright, everyone keep their mouths shut so we can get these two married," he cried out as he strode down the aisle towards the throne atop which his crown sat. Passing his son as he assumed his seat, he gave him a quick pat on the shoulder. "Ready or not, here we go," he told him before placing the crown on his head. "Damnable thing..."

[member="Connor Harrison"] | [member="Tegaea Alcori"] | [member="Hawk Solo"] | [member="Judah Dashiell"] | [member="Kana Truden"] | [member="Nefertari Sovint"] | [member="Corvus Raaf"] | [member="Galina Kerrigan-Alcori"] | [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"] | [member="Kei Amadis"] | [member="Leilani Paaie"] | [member="Xander Carrick"] | [member="Syala Daivik"]

[SIZE=12pt]It was almost impossible for her not to grabbed hold of Thrand and hold him and not let go, without hesitation she placed her hand over his as he felt his grandson moving within her and she smiled feeling the hardened hard from many years of holding the Great Sword of his kin and the weather, it is a harsh mistress as they say. But she cared little for that as Thrand is most dear to her and she loves him as a daughter does her father.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]However, his informing her Thurion is terrified caused a spike of concern before relaxing some as she too felt the same in a way, but not because of the marriage, but like Thurion centre of attention is not something she takes too, considering her duty as Jedi. But this is a wedding of a Prince, the son of a King of the great realm of Midvinter, it is this that terrifies her. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]She could hear his booming voice silence the crowd and it went a long way to ease her mind and caused her to laugh loud which took her nervousness away completely. It is time to enjoy the day and remember this day for eternity. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]Connor, Nina and herself alone in the room, she turned to them both and nodded her head toward the door. “Shall we?”, and in good Valkyri fashion, “May Odiir grant us good fare, overflowing mead, a good fight and fire in our loins!”. She said with a hearty voice.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]Nina was the first to enter the Grand Hall, her eyes finding Thurion immediately as she moved down the aisle. Coci pulled on Connor’s arm effectually leading him until she saw the guests in the room, her step faltered only momentarily as the Clans lowered their heads as she passed. Coci returned an awkward smile to them, and noted the Jedi and friends on the tables as well. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]Moving further, finally she could see Thurion and her eyes would not leave him from that moment forward. He look wonderful in his wedding attire, even more handsome if that could be possible and her chest swelled as her heart leaped and pounded with love, did I just fall in love with him more? She questioned herself as she smiled because the answer was yes. [/SIZE]

With the young angelic girl leading the way, Connor didn’t know who was leading who as they stepped out into the Grand Hall to being the ceremony.

He had battled Sith Lords, stormed beaches on war-torn planets, even faced a Krayt Dragon – but nothing felt more scary than this moment leading the blossoming bride down to her husband-to-be. The royal guards were showing respect as they passed, and it dawned on Connor just how important Coci was away from the Silver Jedi and her standing; her new life as a Heavensheild.

The room was full, and faces both familiar and not-so were bright with smiles, excited chatter and awe. Connor focused on nothing but Thurion as he turned with Coci down the aisle, each step steady and with purpose, leaving the past behind and moving a step closer to the future.

He felt proud and he held himself with that feeling to represent the Silver Jedi and also Coci and Thurion.

And as the Force seemed to guide them effortlessly up the aisle, they arrived before the Prince. Offering Thurion a warm smile and a gracious lowering of his head in respect to him and the family, Connor turned and contently sighed. He leaned in to kiss Coci gently on the left cheek.

”So proud of you,” he offered in a small whisper, pulling back and lowering his head to the bride, his role complete.

Stepping back carefully, it was now done – the unification of these two lovers could finally begin.

"Thank you mummy." She said with a bright grin, as she took her mother's arm and headed with her to the main longue. Her bright smile soon turned into a much shyer one as she clung closely to Siobhan, a little timid still around strangers.

Slowly she reached out her hand to shake Judah's. "It's nice meet you, Mister Dashiell." Her basic still was a little lacking but for the most part the wildling was understandable by the majority.

Her vivid smile returned once more as she spotted her mum with Chesna. "Mum! Chesna!" Spoken excited as she stepped forward to hug her mum. "So glad you make it. Missed you. Missed you both." The redhead said as she glanced to Chesna. The woman was just as much family to her as the other two women who had legally adopted the Wildling.

"Hi, love. You look...magnificient," Siobhan said with mush sincerity to her wife, giving her daughter a smile. Sure, it was not the red dress, but then that was best saved for more...private occasions, and Tegaea still looked gourgeous in it. Perhaps for the next few hours Siobhan could forget all the worries and distract herself with the festivities. Beyond that, she was simply happy to see her family reunited again, even if it would probably only be for a day or two. "I agree with Mr. Dashiell. We should probably get a move on. Chesna, behave," she added the last two words in a stern tone. She remembered the last time they had taken the demigoddess to a wedding!

And so in the best spirit of quantum tunnelling our sweet couple, presumably along with the dashing Shaggy and Chesna, would make their way into the palace and the grand hall. Well, grand probably covered it. Say what you want about Space Vikings, they knew how to make an impression. Banners, adornments, throne - it had it all and judging by the number of guests, both Silver Jedi and Valkyri, Thurion and Coci's wedding would get a good turnout.

Speaking of thrones, Siobhan had one as well. It was located close to the couple's private Shrine for Ardarvia. Unfortunately for Siobhan, at present she was not in charge of a kingdom or fiefdom of some nature. One can assume that she would mostly want people to fawn over her anyway instead of actually doing tedious things like ruling. Anyhow, our moderately vain Countess would enter the grand hall with her chin held high, carrying herself with confidence and pride, as much as you could when you were limping.

"Thank you Hawk, you look very regal in your tux" This he did look good in it complimented his form. When he looked at her she knew she had him right where she wanted him, he would do anything for her. She had only to extend her hand and ask.

She smiled at him leaned over and kissed his cheek remembering to keep him interested. "Yes we have" She took his offered arm and walked inside to find their seats.

There were some around here that she would love to meet. But she began to believe she knew what to ask Hawk to do. Course she'd be sure to offer him some kind of reward that he would find too tempting.

She watched now, keeping her hand on Hawk's arm. She sat there looking so demure while thinking of all the things she could have him do. She looked over at him. Yes she had plans for him.

[member="Connor Harrison"] | [member="Coci Sinopi"]

She was late. Well, she hoped not too late. Callista had never been to Midvinter before, and she counted on the map in her datapad and her senses in the Force to guide her to where she needed to go. She rounded the corner to the throne room just as Coci was coming down the hall. Grinning slightly, she ducked in through a side door and stood inside for a moment, letting her eyes and her senses adjust to the lighting, and the wash of emotions in the room. It made her almost giddy.

Taking a deep breath to calm her own nerves, she closed her eyes for a moment and looked around for an empty seat. She found one a few rows up from the back and on the aisle side. With a heavy sigh, she dropped down into the empty seat as she muttered an apology to her neighbor. She'd gotten the message barely 24 hours before. The robes she were were a recreation of the ones she'd been wearing when [member="Masamune Tametomo"] had found her ship drifting on the edge of Levantine Space more than six years ago now. It felt like a lifetime.

But now, here she was. At a wedding for two people she barely knew. But, even though she didn't know them or much of anyone else in the room, she could feel their love for each other clearly. Sighing to herself, she shifted a bit and adjusted her formal robes. The outer cloak as a deep teal which had handworked embroidery around the hem. The overtunic was a slightly lighter shade of teal linen with long full sleeves, The undertunic and tabbards we of sand-colored linen. The tabbards had hand worked embroidery in teal of various Cataani symbols. One her belt rested two matching hilts. The metal hilts were mostly plain with a bit of tooling along the hilt itself.

As she sat there catching her breath, she heard the door behind her open. The heavy wooden door creaked for but a moment before moving smoothly on well-oiled hinges. She'd caught a glimpse of Coci and Connor in the hall, but that fleeting glimpse hadn't done the other woman justice. She positively glowed. In the Force, her presence sang. It filled Callista with happiness and hope. She was glad to see that the Jedi of this galaxy had gotten past the old stigma of marriages within the Order. She knew from experience that could strengthen both parties.

I stayed at the back of the room for a moment. Waiting for when the time would be right. Walking forward, Past others and behind the group of clans as well as the guards, I moved towards the front. I smiled, Knowing the exact reason why I chose to move.

As a Jedi Master, I was expected to be at the forefront of signifigant events. A wedding counted. As a Member of the Silver Jedi Council, I had to be there increasingly more. I was also one of Coci's friends. As well as a Comnrade. I had to support her, and her decision to marry the man who stood at the center of everything. As I was walking to get into position in front of the group, I folded my hands in front of me, and waited for the cermony to begin. As the king rushed by, I bowed my head in respect and watched as she said for the show to go on.

I watched as the bride, Coci, and Connor, walked down the isle. Connor, tall, yet I smiled as a hint of nervousness came from him. As well as Coci. However I could watch it fade as she saw her friends, Eyes passing me, and finally to her Husband-to-be. The smile she bore made her shine like the stars in the night sky. I smiled and watched as she continued to walk forward.

Connor broke with her, so she could stand up in front, As he walked to his respective side, I smiled and sent him a little message, a comment within our minds.

"Who would've thought she would have married before our handsome selves did?"

He proudly walked Leilani down the aisle to their seats. Who knows maybe some day they would get married. He could picture Leilani looking lovely in a bridal gown.

They were seated on the bride side of the room. He caught her took at him a couple of times. He smiles at her. It might be time to introduce her to his daughter. Especially if he kept thinking about a future with her. Maybe they should live together first. These were the thoughts Hawk was having as they wait for the cermoney to begin.

"Trust me, even un-provoked she is quite...uh....a force to be reckoned with. A hazard of being attracted to strong women I suppose."

Judah, of course, would never cheat on [member="Thessa Kai"] .He was head over heels for the Galan, despite what his wife may think at times. When they arrived at the wedding venue it was extremely grand. Banners hung high in the ceilings and the building was decorated to the nines. It was almost like a fairy tale, something he would read out of a book to Makai rather than experience.

When seating for the ceremony, Judah made sure to sit far opposite of Chesna. Galina seemed like a safer seating companion.
