PRODUCTION INFORMATION
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • High Jumping capacity: Despite its bulky frame and no matter the choice of armament and payload, this droid is capable of short burst jumps of up to three times it's own height within a single jump and can leap accross a distance of 20m thanks to the built in jet boosters. However, due to limited fuel, such maneuvres are not numerous.
  • Rotating center section: Mounted on a rtating gyroscoping middle section, this droid is capable of totating it's upper and lower body in 360 degrees in any direction and opposition they desire or deem necessary, this can be done at relative high speeds and even when mobile, making sneaking up on or trying to outflank it quite a dangerous task.
  • High strategic Capacity: Utilizing the full potential of the ZEUS Mk II droid brain, these large walkers are capable of processing large amounts of information regarding terrain, enemy and allied forces, weaponry and using that knowledge to create a strategy, battle tactic or even counter meassures. They do still lack the typical 'on the fly' thinking of organic and higher intelligent AI.
STRENGTHS
  • Tank: This Droid hits incredibly hard, utilizing everything at its disposal as a weapon, but it also has quite the impresive defense against the majority of commonly used weaponry ranging from blasters to bowcasters, making this a litteral tank on the battlefield.
  • Highly Maneuvrable: Despite not being as speedy as assassin or commando droids, this Assault Walker droid is still capable of high speeds, climbing and jumping within a limited capacity, making this quite the formidable powerhouse and a hard to deal with opposition due to its suitability for both rural and urban environments.
  • Elemental Resistance: combining its resistances to kinetic and energy related weaponry or outside forces, the elemental resistance this droid possesses allows for it to operate in virtually any hostile environment, though ofcourse stepping into magma or liquid nitrogen won't be something this droid can do.
WEAKNESSES
  • Exposed Join areas: Due to the design having the necessity to allow for some mobile flexibility, it has been decided to focus the plating more on the internals and less on the joint areas, making them more vulnerable to enemy fire and weapons.
  • Corrosive weakness: This droid has little to no defense against acid based, corrosive attacks, which can disassemble the molecular structure of the compounds used for its structure and plating.
  • Restricted repairs: Due to the highly poisonous nature of some of its parts, the restricted availability outside of N&Z official licensed repair shops and the danger it would pose if one were to use the wrong instruments or material for repairs, this droid can be seen as high maintanence, as the costs may be higher than comparable models due to the restrictions posed in the form of available and trained personel for repairs.
DESCRIPTION
Designed by the engineers of the N&Z Umbrella corporation as an evolved and heavier enforcer compared to the original Combat Droid: ZMD-C3 Saturn. This beast of an autonomic walker possesses heavy hitting firepower no matter which choice of armament, a highly mobile frame and the intelligent capacity of the Zeus mk II droid core. Designed primarily to assist shock troops or Executor Troopers in their duties, the engineers of the company had gone for the more tried and tested combinations of materials such as reinforced ersteel 145 for both the skeletal frame and the exterior plating to allow for a higher resistance to both temperatures, energy and kinetic forces, topped off with heat resistant carbonite to make sure these droids could be used in virtually any system, atmosphere or topographic location.

The design also accounted for a seperate use in two roles, as either a long range suppressor droid by using the RTL launcher and a variety of ordinance choices or with two HP1 turbolaser placements, which give it ample firepower, comparable to a medium sized tank, though with more terrain mobility and general usage. According to the research made by the company, this frame design may see further use in more civilian based designs such as construction droids or general transport.

For now though, engineers have done their best to allow for this droid to be the best they could come up with within its function as an alternative to manned walkers and the faster, but less mobile bipedal walker varieties currently on the market.
