OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a maneuvring device
  • Canon Link: [X] [X]
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Primary Source: [X] [X]
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Allows for instant aerial maneuvring for short periods of time
  • Can accellerate lateral, horizontal and vertical movement for short periods of time
  • Automatic ejection system for fuel cannisters.
  • Size adjustable connection clamps.
STRENGTHS
  • Superior movement: Unlike jetpacks, these Jet Boots aren't as clunky and cumbersome. Thanks to the direct feeding and combustion of the used fuel, with direct location at moving limbs, the acceleration in motion is much faster than jetpacks and much more precise in comparison.
  • Lightweight equipment: With or without the boot part, the MAM Jet Maneuvre Gear is very lightweight due to its overall smallsize and comfortable fitting.
  • Durable: The systems of the MAM Jet Maneuvre Gear can take quite a beating and have a high resistance against energy based and kinetic weaponry.
WEAKNESSES
  • Explosive Fuel: Should by any chance the Rhydonium fuel cells be punctured, This can and will cause quite an explosion, which depending on the amount of fuel left within the casings can easily tear of one's leg or just incinerate the wearer completely.
  • Short burst principle: Because of the limited fuel and restricted cooling, the boost from these systems is only accessible for short periods at a time, like for a long jump, instant acceleration and so on, heavy use may also see rapid depletion of the fuel within the fuel cells.
  • Have to have experience: A certain minimum of proper experience in terms of jtpacks and the likes is necessary to properly wield| use these boots, as they are far more responsive than back-strapped jetpacks with slow acceleration.
DESCRIPTION
Based on the old Mitrinomon Mitrinomon jetpack thrusters which are quite popular among the bountyhunters of the galaxy, N&Z Umbrella Corporation, through it's Nargath Holdings Subsidiary, decided to take upon themselves the task to design, produce and thus sell a version of their own, with the intent of building a better, more reliable variety of jet boots. The design team responsible for this piece of equipment had already been active with the variety of armors created by the company and thus went for a simple, yet effective design which would allow the choice of either buying the gear with a worked in boot or to buy it seperately.

The Engineer team decided to use Ersteel 145 for the system's external plating and internals, which given the material's heat resistance, protection against energy and kinetic weaponry would be a good choice. For the boot part, armorweave with insulation materials had been chosen, constructing the system in such a way that the heat coming from the thrusters themselves would not lead to burns on the user.

The final design was tested on the Eriadu testing ground of the Alpha research facility, where the MAM Jet Maneuvring Gear was apparently tested to see what it's structural limits were, alongside with its specifications and parameters, with some of the results being quite promising, such as a record jump of fifteen meters in the air with a single one-second burst.

This looks all fine and dandy, however, the reason why jetpacks are a little clunky is because they are much easier to operate than something like this which is attached to your legs. Which are not always 100% stable.

A recommendation I have for you is a weakness where you need to be trained/have expierance using it rather than just throwing these boots on and calling it a day.
