In truth, Alisteri had expected to charge head first into a barrage of blaster fire the moment that he stepped out of the ship. He had even leveled his lightsaber to be in front of him in preparation to block whatever was going to fly his way. Thankfully though, the defenders were a bit distracted at first. Due to the illusion, the initial charge from the shuttle had made some progress before they were inevitably fired upon.

Said illusion had been the product of the other Sith accompanying him this day, Kalt. He had never properly met the other before their flight to the planet, but he had heard of him once or twice.

All good things of course, and he could see why now.

A small part of him still found it weird that he was with Alina's apprentice, but there was no time to dwell on it. "I haven't spoken to her in a while in truth, the war has kept us both busy." The masked Acolyte could only rely on what he had been told by their orders, and that was simply to recruit all those that were worthy and would follow.

"Knowing her, I would suggest that you find her some strong yet malleable warriors. Other than that? I would just rely on your own instincts."

It didn't take long for their charge to be seen as the true assault. By the time the defenders had fully reoriented however, the little bits of cover between the dropships and the settlement had been occupied.

Soon enough the Legionnaires began answering back with a hail of their own blaster bolts to match the Mandalorians, the relatively open area between the Legionnaires and the settlement now alight with a furious exchange of firepower.

The Droid Gunships under Raviss Kell's command aided in the Chimera's landing, laying down heavy covering fire as the Sith Acolyte and Sigma-Five came charging forward towards the first sign of their enemy, Mandalorians all armed and armoured. Alone, the twelve legionaries were among the elite of soldiers, yet they were soon accompanied by a contingent of BX-Series Droid Commando's, this only bolstering Valen's confidence in their certain victory.

At the head of the charge, Valen's Lightsaber could be seen from afar as he sought to deflect incoming blaster-fire while closing in on the defensive line, the crimson blade emitting a brilliant flash with each strike from blaster bolts before being sent hurling back at their shooters. Once they'd closed in on the enemy, Sigma-Five took up positions facing the entrance to the Protectors Facility, unleashing a barrage of fire back at the Mandalorians.

Valen's strength as a Force-User empowered him ahead of the Squad, strengthened by his anger and turning his blade upon the opposition with powerful two-handed blows as they sought to cut him down using melee weapons the likes of Vibro-blades and staffs.

The Dark Side surged around his presence as he felled those closest, the forced loss of life creating a wound in the energies of the Force, the natural cycle of life and death once again manipulated through the whim of The Sith Empire and through this example of power, Valen had learned to siphon the life-force of those suffering in their final moments.

In their deaths, he would grow stronger.

Kalt appreciated the willingness to speak, even if he had asked in the middle of battle. If one can't get in a good conversation while slaughtering his enemies, then what has the galaxy come to? Or so Kalt thought. A moment of self-reflection later and he realized how mad that would have sounded if he had said it aloud. He dismissed the thought in favor of focusing on the current issue at hand. It didn't seem like Alisteri had been given much more than he had on gathering recruits. "Fair enough." Kalt responded.

Now that the illusion had passed, the Mandalorians refocused on the actual threat of the Sith Legion, but not before they were all positioned and ready to return fire. With his battle precognition, he was able to see the incoming blaster fire and deflect it with his lightsaber. He was of course a target priority once they had seen his lightsaber. So he received a greater volume of fire. In response, Kalt replicated his image into 10 nearly identical copies, all spreading out, as he had, to cover or to "deflect" blaster fire. They were nothing like his projections though, of course, so the blaster bolts just went through them. Kalt himself ducked behind a pair of legionnaires and commandeered a couple of their grenades. He had done this trick once before to traitor Sith in the Empire. He'd take a grenade, activate it, and used the force to fling it at his enemies. If they tried to run or take cover, he'd move it so that they were exposed to it when it exploded.

As he did so, lobbing the grenades, he relented that he wasn't able to observe the chaos they caused as it did last time. From what he could sense, the Mandalorians they were facing were all calculating and fierce in their demeanor, even in the face of such losses. Furthermore, as he continued to lob grenades, the Mandalorians eventually figured out what was going on, and took to shooting the grenades in mid-air. They couldn't catch all of them of course, but they were pretty good shots nonetheless, and Kalt found himself running out of grenades to throw. At least with regards to the pair of legionnaires he was in cover with. It seems they had also narrowed down on the number of duplicates he had deployed, spraying blaster fire at just a few, including the real Kalt.

"This looks like a promising group." Kalt said aloud to Alisteri.

Raviss strode into the camp, witnessing the battle raging on before her. With but a gesture from her mechanical hand, she ordered the rest of her battle droids to attack. The swarms of B1 Battle Droids had completely encircled the camp, attacking it's defenders from all angles. A smirk formed beneath Raviss's respirator, as she gently wiggled off her cloak, exposing her scarred, cybernetically enhanced body. She reached for a pair of lightsabers, two of many trophies taken from Jedi she'd personally slain affixed to her belt, quickly igniting them before charging into battle to aid Valen, with her IG-100 Magnaguards closely following behind.

She leapt between a pair of Mandalorian Protectors about to open fire on Valen, quickly impaling her lightsaber through one of them, before grasping the other one by the neck with one of her mechanical, clawed feet, throwing him to the ground before squeezing his throat. An audible snap would soon follow, before she let out a cackle. "Is this it? Is THIS the fabled might of the Mandalorians? I am sorely disappointed."

Hearing the confirmation of his two eager followers made The Shaper give a satisfied smirk. His will extending out through the Force to both Pandora Pandora and Lady Marrow Lady Marrow simultaneously. His words encouraging, bolstering even as he fed the Dark Side into them. His eyes never once leaving the Mandalorian vessel as his thoughts echoed to them. 'You have your targets, your objectives, and you go with the Dark Side itself in your wake.' Taking a moment to take in Cara Dorniarn Cara Dorniarn and her response The Shaper idly input a few commands on his seat, the Evolution beginning to slowly move closer to the small Mandalorian fleet. Which responded like a frantic beehive of activity. The largest of their vessels even taking the opportunity to fire a warning shot toward the Evolution.

The Shaper considered this for a moment, before turning the Evolution as if to halt it's advance. But this maneuver was a ploy, using the Evolution's bulk to hide the singular boarding shuttle Pandora was deployed via. An officer on the bridge turning to him and informing him that the other ship was hailing him. Nodding his ascent The Shaper smiled. "Deny the communication. Let them worry a bit." Standing from his seat The Shaper frowned as it seemed the small defense fleet deployed fighters to screen themselves. The Shaper sighed as he extended his arms, his presence within the Force swelling immensely before his eyes flared an amber hue. The Whilstone of power alighting upon his brow fiercely as his sight was enhanced by the Force. Grasping two of the enemy fighters and slowly, painfully, dragging them to a halt before his hands closed, bit by bit, rupturing the viewports of the vessels before watching stoically as the pilots were vented out into space.

It did not take long after that for the rest of the fighters to return to their ship, not wanting the same fate to befall them, and making it so they would not interfere with the Marrow or Pandora's missions.

‐------------------------

If there was only one thing that the Mandalorians had done to impress him so far, it had to be their surprisingly good aim. Even as he managed to get behind some cover, his head had almost been taken off twice already. Thankfully their shots could still be blocked, but even then they seemed to have some experience with dealing with lightsaber users. His blade made him a target of course, and at this range all he could do was block or draw fire away from the Legionnaires, so he decided that keeping his head down until an opening appeared was for the best.

Better to conserve energy to rush the defenders and lead the next charge rather than stand out there and risk getting hit.

Evidently his fellow Sith had a similar idea, but with a much more elegant method of executing it than him. Rather than keeping still and hiding from the bolts arcing overhead, he spotted several Kalts nearby while what he assumed to be the real one was hurling grenades over to the Mandalorians. Neat tricks all around from that one. Since when could the Force make illusions anyway? Clearly he had a little more reading to do once this little conflict was well and settled.

"They're certainly good shots. Seems to be more of a hindrance than a benefit right now though." Alisteri ducked down slightly as a bolt impacted his cover, right above his head. "If we can get past them without killing all of them first, then they're all yours. Or Alina's. Or Darth Sang-you get it." There could be time for semantics later he supposed.

"Alright someone cover me!" Two Legionnaires threw their own grenades over their cover at the order right as the Acolyte dashed out into the open. Blocking and deflecting the bolts as he went, he wasted no time in rushing across the distance between the two lines of fire and diving into a small crater right in front of the Mandalorian line.

Valen could feel himself being engulfed within the anger and the chaos of the fight with every sweep and strike of his Lightsaber, every life cut down before him, a traumatic scene forced upon the Mandalorian inhabitants forced to desperately fend off the Sith Invasion Force, Valen controlling the arc of his blade in his right hand while reaching out with his left and siphoning the life essence from the fallen.

Such violence and frenzied seconds chancing one's potential death should by no means have been exhilarating to those of a sound mind, and perhaps before his arrival and recruitment within The Sith Empire, Valen might have paused long enough to result in his certain demise, yet the Acolyte had learned to surrender himself to the fury of battle from the early days of the Invasions of Gravlex Med and Ziost. Such full-scale battlefields introducing his time within the Order of the Sith had desensitized him to the anarchy of war, further guided by his Master's teachings, Zeptepi Zambrano Zeptepi Zambrano working to strengthen his mind and ability to wield the Force in order to ensure the highest chance of survival throughout the gauntlet that was serving under the Empire and seeking out its foes.

There were a few seconds of reprieve, enough so for Valen to witness the sight of Raviss Kell cutting down the Mandalorian Protectors that had been moments away from opening fire in his direction. There wasn't time to bid her acknowledgement, his regards would have to follow the conclusion of the siege for having watched his flank, yet it was a gesture that would not soon be forgotten and perhaps in time, he would repay the favour.

For the time being, Valen instead turned his attention toward the entrance of the Protectors facility and calling for Sigma-Five-Delta to breach the entrance, no doubt holding further enemy forces.

The dust would clear, rolling through the corridors as the newly formed carrion of the facility would cause the slate halls to trickle with fresh reddened shoals, the subtle sounds of dripping blood hitting the ground as the mandalorian force would arrive, armed, armoured. Only to find a sith escape pod, peering into its entrance to find the hole vacant, some semblance of a dusty residue coating the pods otherwise sterile white floors. There was no-one, an empty pod? A Decoy? It was difficult to tell, but whatever it was, there may be an attack incoming any moment now, they were breached. The structural integrity of their building had been torn apart, holes leading into the walls and under-ways of the base flowing out into myriad directions which each of the soldiers could have spent an age attempting to uncover.

"Scanner Teams! We need to sweep the place, group up, loose formations but keep line of sight!" A commander would bark as they would scurry through the area, mentioning orders from the commandant. Another long word which meant little to Lady Marrow. Her pod had landed directly upon one of their larger stores for weapons and ammunition, crushing and burying them under the foot of her pod. Lucky. She would need to move quickly however, these human creatures liked their power, it wasn't hard for her to alter her composition to be more sensitive to the ambient electricity which surged through the place, find the source, end it. The mycetic features that covered her body would begin to tremble faster as she would draw nearer large fonts of electrical power... They had no idea what they were in for. She'd make him proud!

It would not be long until the scanner teams were sweeping hallways, beginning from the pod and fanning out in trained formations, three man teams with one working a scanner and two with light rifles while they awaited the secondary armory to be unlocked, gifting them their bigger and better munitions. Chatter would echo through the complex as the teams would find nothing, scanners and rangefinders not picking up any heat signatures that differentiated from the room temperatures they moved through. Heavy footsteps clanked down the hallways as they hefted their patterned shiny suits, each of them were regaling one another with pointers that had to do with their extensive trainings on dealing with force users... A Sith could be nearby after all.

~They're so cute, thinking I'm like them~ Lady Marrow would muse to herself as she would clamber on all fours through the walls, quadrupedal, a mask of bone covering her lower face while the dark crept around her. Smothering her in a cloak of duracrete insulated blackness that sought to hide her from the world of man. Her eyes aglow with vibrant energy as she calculated her plan, weaving closer to the source of power her extremities couldn't help but tremble at. Meeting at a T-Junction she would begin to weave around and up into a false ceiling. She had no clue why their buildings required these crawlspaces, damp, dank and filled with pipes, wires and more as she would veritably swim through them. Her tails following her lead, swaying to and fro as she moved, never touching anything as they perfectly followed the pathway she charted through the dank industrial maze.

Meanwhile the search parties would come across something, investigative teams looking at the pod found signs of an ichor upon one of the stones, not blood, but, something else. Following its direction they found a claws rake across some of the loosened duracrete, a slab had been marked by something they couldn't understand. Calling attention to it, it would dawn on them that what they were hunting may not be a Sith, but one of their creations. Alerts went out, and marks for a full Bio-Scan of the facility would be ordered. Men and woman were asked to remain still and mark their positions for the scan, halting progress on the manual sweeps. Within moments they'd have the location of whatever sith animal had been launched into their compound, and with fire and brimstone they would be able to take it to pieces.

Lady Marrow peered, positioned over the top of the main generator room, four guards standing within it as she had carefully clawed into the bases life support system. Air flowed through these pipes it seemed causing her to smile, using her power to create rapidly growing spores. Spores whose sole purpose was to rapidly grow and create more spores. Securing them to the inside of the system, they would eventually clog up and overpower any filtration they had... and reach the far corners of the base... in a day, every room, hall, corridor and body within this building would be infested. But within an hour. She'd have all the ammunition she needed.

The Mandalorians in the power generator room would stand on guard, close together despite their orders. "What do you think we're dealing with?" One would ask another... "Hard to say, you know the sith and their kinks... the stories." Disbelief, talks about myths, rumors and more would circulate, but history was history for a reason. They wouldn't notice the panel above their heads sliding off without a sound, placed upon a bed of newly formed shrooms. It would be one of them that had lit up a death-stick turning to look up, meeting with the toxic emerald green eyes of a lavender and plum creature, no mouth or nose to speak of clinging to the roof with little more than its hind talons. It looked almost feminine... in a certain light. But no sooner than he could shout a whip would flit across him, fast enough to whistle, attracting the attention of the others, causing them to turn his way. Their friend would look as though he was struggling to swallow, eyes furrowed as he was unable to speak, frustrated, scared. As a red line would draw itself across his throat, blood pooling causing his neck to open up wide, a cut deep enough for the man to be half decapitated would begin to flood as he would grip it with one hand, the other... pointing up.

Leaving no time for the others to draw their weapons Lady Marrow would leap to attack, the first would draw a blaster pistol with practiced speed, but she was upon them, pouncing them with all of the force she could muster she would push them to the ground, her fingers gripping around the plate of Mandalorian iron on their chest, ripping it off of them like a can-opener. The others leveling their weapons would see the aimed pistols removed with a swipe from each of her tails, tearing into their hands, but bouncing off the armour while their weapons were left shattered. Planting one of her claws into the chest of the man on the floor, like scalpels seeming to almost ignore the presence of cloth bone and tissue she would hurl the body at one of her attackers, slamming them up against the wall giving her a moment to focus on the third who had drawn a blade. Mandalorians were such great fun, not being able to see the look on their faces had given her an appreciation on body language, how people tremble, shake, hesitate... these Mandalorians were not like the ones she had fought before. No, they never hesitated, hardened men and women with little smells. But these ones, they smelt like rage, fear and more.

"Commandant, we have contact, its in the pow~" The voice of one of their brave Vod would cut off mid conversation, shortly afterwards, power to the entire facility would drop off. With it, long distance communication, the ability to open magnetically closed doors like the Armory for better weapons, the ability to see without mechanical aid and more. The sub generator allowed for some low lightning, the life support system and doors to emergency exits to be able to be unlocked, but this base wasn't about to be dropped that easy. What they were facing was a single entity, likely a Sith or Sith creation, the Commandant had over forty people under her command, the woman surrounded by artistic finery... a different class of Mandalorian as she would stand in filigrees beskargam, hair flowing out of the back of her helm in braided strands a she would emit an aura of regality to those around her.

"Brothers and Sisters, we seem to be under attack by an unknown creature. Listen to me closely. I've fought on the sunless surface of Umbara, against enemies that we could not see or hear or know. I have hunted beasts within the ruined forests of Iskalon and seen such things that would chill the blood. The Sith are no more monsters than the spice fiends that would are streets, no more monsters than the Basiliskin we tame and ride. This creature, is no more threat than any other our Vod, our Family has faced and conquered before a thousand times over. Trust in your wits, trust in your brothers and trust in your steel. Together, we will reclaim this position and see the light of another day.

Remaz, Forsa, Ellion and Parcii. You've been appointed temporary command of your stations. Work together and report everything to me. Remaz and Forsa, gather what weapons you can and get to power repair and restore it, Parcii, you need to work on getting into that armory, we need weapons that can fight whatever this is. Ellion, you're on search and destroy. Make sure you take Crannik with you, they'll be able to smell whatever it is out. You have your orders... for the blood. Ibic te Manda. . . "

"Lady Marrow would stand withing the absolute wreckage of the engine room, blood covering her hands, feet and tails as pieces of slashed up corpse lay opened up around the area. She would love to stay here and eat, it was such a shame that she didn't have more time to learn about them ... the skill she had learned from her master recently had empowered her ability to learn, but she wanted the first person she gained this knowledge from to be special ... she couldn't just take anyone. Her grin beneath her mask widened as she could hear footsteps moving towards her, scanning teams resuming their movements in the mean time as she would clean the blood off of her body, allowing her body to absorb the nutrients and jumping back up into the life support system. Not bothering to close the grate as she would slink through the hole she had constructed back into the crawlspaces between the walls. The response of every Mando repeating the phrase 'Ibic te Manda!' echoed and carried even through the refined synthetic stone. The scent of fear diminishing... something had changed... her first task completed, pride rolling through her body in an adrenal wave causing her to puff herself up a little with the self congratulation.

"I won't let you down master Shaper ... "

"Team E. We're to take point in hunting this thing, Crannik... input?" All eyes of the Mandalorians would turn to a man, fur coming out of his helmet as he would sniff the air around him. "I need to know where its been to get a scent. Get that, and we'll know where its going. Lets hunt." E Team would take their scanner, eight men and women in total led by Ellion but following Crannik. A gigantic creature, tall as a wookie, and each of them knew he was just as strong. Few knew his history, but they all knew to fall in behind their brother. They knew Crannik ate raw meat, and seldom from something he didn't hunt himself on his time off. Stories were he was denied placement onto a commando team due to his... differences. Sometimes blurring the line between a beast and that of a man to become something in the middle. "Good" Spoke Ellion. "Lets hunt this damn thing..."

It was time for a show, and a show it would be. Feeling the power of the Dark Side flowing through her veins, Pandora flexed her claws as her ship landed in the hangar of the Mandalorian vessel. Knowing the weight of the mission Arctus Silmar Arctus Silmar had given her was not a burden on her mind, but rather it was quite motivating, knowing how much faith her creator had in her.

As the doors to the ship opened, the sound of blasters began.

Rushing out of the boarding ship with a laugh, Pandora ran into crowd of warriors, lashers out. Though there were many, the gaps in their armors were even more numerous. Digging her lashers deep into their chests, their legs, anywhere she could find a place to stab her lashes or claws into. One by one, the Mandalorians fell.

With each one, Pandora was one step closer to her goal.
