OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION:
  • Intent: To create an all-purpose weapon for Lady Marrow
  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Primary Source: Force Saber
PRODUCTION INFORMATION:
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
  • Classification: Force Saber
  • Size: Average
  • Weight: Light
SPECIAL FEATURES:
  • Force Focused Blade:
As a Force saber, the weapon at the will of the user focuses their life-force into a blade of raw dark side energy capable of acting like a light-saber. However, the blade uses the wielder like a battery; capable of weakening to little more than a stun stick as the wielder weakens. However, the power of the blade raises in contrast to the power of its user to heights that potentially far exceed that of conventional lightsabers with potential only limited to the users' strength in the force able to hew through even light-saber resistant materials at its highest potential power and used by a force master.
  • Force Power Variation:
While the blade itself is created by pure Dark side energy, its connection to the wielders' flow of force energy allows it to be augmented. Someone skilled or trained in the art of using this weapon is able to alter the flow of the blade with the use of their own trained force techniques causing plethora of effects. From turning the blade into an electrically charged plasma blade with force lightning, wreathing it in flame or even turning it toxic giving it potentially dozens of forms should its master be learned enough.
  • Closed Circuit:
A Force Saber blurs the line between being an arcane conduit to the user's power and being something of technology. Though as it is lacking a conventional power source its weaknesses of a light-saber based on it being a piece of electronic equipment are largely null and void. Be it Courtosis or an EMP.
STRENGTHS:
  • Force Power Channeling:
The ability to channel a force power down the length of a blade isn't unique, however, the ability to transform the blade itself into a manifestation of that force power, focusing it into a fine point, empowering it and pushing it to an extreme lays at the heart of a force Saber's potential, to create a weapon wreathed in flame as former Jedi have seen them. This weapon focuses, darkens and shapes the force powers by acting as a focus whose Kyber Crystal and Rakatan mechanics push force power that interacts with the crystal outward, compressing it and shaping it into the shape of a blade.

  • Highest Highs:
As the weapon relies on the strength of the user. In the hands of a novice in the force it holds a cutting potential comparable to a force staff or vibro-blade (High). An adept in the force however, wielding this weapon will find its cutting potential comparable to a standard light-saber (Very High). But a master, a master of the force brandishing this weapon would find very little in the galaxy that this weapon could not hew through should they be at full vitality (Extreme).

  • Penchant for Poison:
The Marrow Blade in particular is brilliant at challenging powers that corrupt nature, the blade is able to replicate poisons through the use of Force Affliction and Force Plague to the level of being able to replicate the effects of specific venom and poisons that the user has trained with.

  • Alchemical Construction:
The hilt and the construction of the shell of the weapon is made through a stringent alchemical process involving hardening almost mythic materials through the use of the ancient processes of the sith. The result is a reinforced material and outer shell which compresses the grand majority of the weapons plating as well as its few interior mechanics. The result of these enchantments make the hilt itself incredibly tough and difficult to destroy with the use of energy weapons.
WEAKNESSES:
  • Draining Force:
The Marrow Blade taps into the force reserves of the user with the intent of using them to formulate the powerful dark side blade iconic to the weapon. Prolonged use of the blade is known to tire the user, though a Sith or warrior especially trained in the arts of using a Force Saber are able to mitigate the drain of the weapon to something more akin to a single transaction for its creation. Wielding this blade with little vitality is known as especially dangerous and even capable of killing an unsuspecting user.
  • Dependent Power:
With high highs, come equally low lows. The longer a battle draws out, the weaker and weaker the blade gets as its wielder tires and loses focus. Rather than the safety of a constant blade with its own internal energy cell. While a Force saber is capable of pulling on the force power of the wielder should it need it, if its master has none to be drained they will find the blade weaken to become inert and no sharper than a dull blade capable of only superficial damage to a person.
  • Dark-Side Pull:
A feature that potentially led to the initial divide between the Je'daii and the creation of light side and dark side practitioners of the force. Every use of a Force Saber threatens to corrupt its user further and further to the dark side as it taints their mind with an almost living will to deliver death or bring out their inner most desires. radicalizing the individual to an extent. But the power attained by it, was often considered worth it, if it meant defeating the foes whom threatened the galaxy.
DESCRIPTION:

It had been a terrifying experience discovering the wound in the heart of Lady Marrow's garden, fear at the thought of the core strain being wounded moving through the rest of the garden and ending in the death of the expansive organism held firm within her mind as she attempted to mend it. However, it was as she mended the substance, surrounded in the purest spores of her garden, that the Kyber Crystal that had been owned by those who had bought Lady Marrow to Kushibah had been discovered to be the cause of the wound. It seemed that the Gem had been held within the trunk of the plant for some time unknown to Lady Marrow, it was with its extraction that her beautiful plant had began to bleed...

Hours would pass, Lady Marrow having finally mended the trunk to be as it was once before. Exhausted, tired, and out of vitality the girl would grip the glowing gem between her fingers, the gem seemed to be something brilliant, she could feel power exuding from it... power that felt like her garden. The Gem was green, beautifully radioactively green with a feeling of decay that surrounded it that was unlike anything she had ever seen before. The afflictions ate away at her in a manner she was not immune to, which fascinated her beyond belief. When she met with the shaper later, revealing the Gem it was informed that she had effectively poisoned the Kyber Crystal with the natural state of her garden. Rather than the classic bleeding Gem of the Sith or purified crystal of the Jedi, the poisoned crystal is a bi-product of alchemy that is attuned to the natural world and its potential.

Though it took some effort, convincing the Shaper in order to help her make a blade that would allow her to spread her poisons through the blade, rather than simply cut with the heat that was the antithesis to her being. The Sith was skeptical, however with enough effort they ultimately relented, aiding her with hints, tips and ingredients though chastising the child in creating an ancient weapon that would drain her power in combat, limiting the advantage of her high pool of force power.

Uncaring about the consequences, and although it took a significant sum of time, Lady Marrow learned the method of the creation of the blade, finding a Rakatan wreck in which she battled with the ghost of a Force Hound in order to recover the shell of one of these ancient weapons, before retrofitting it to create her own within the heart of her Garden. The blade itself is made from the metals LAdy Marrow discovered in that Rakatan wreck, though many of them were spliced with the amber of her garden though alchemy.

The result was a weapon that she called the Marrow blade, a deep and violent green blade produced by the weapon that seems far more sinister than the peaceful green blade of the Jedi order. Though it stands out among sith light-sabers, the Force Saber would soon become one of the namesakes for the Lady as she would begin her Career as a Sith Acolyte.
