Born to the Jedi order in the distant past Arctus Silmar was but one of countless Jedi who fell during the Hundred Year Darkness alongside others such as Ajunta Pall and Karness Muur. In their time as one of the earliest Dark Jedi of this age Arctus Silmar, alongside his contemporaries, became fascinated with the weaving and shaping of life in a variety of ways, such as the creation and development of the ancient Leviathans overseen by Sorzus Syn. Unlike his contemporaries, however, Arctus Silmar's fascination with Sith Alchemy extended beyond their newly discovered abilities and into the domain of shaping, forging and alchemically strengthening anything from blades to armor. They often claim to be the first of the Dark Lords of this period to have crafted and wielded their own Sith Sword though the authenticity of this claim is impossible to verify.

The Shaper claims to have served faithfully under Ajunta Pall during his time as Dark Lord of the Sith, crafting and honing his knowledge and Mastery of the craft of Sith Alchemy until their eventual passing. After their death their body was interred on Korriban where their restless spirit stalked the halls of their tomb for millennia untold. Buried amongst their artifacts and great works to await the day the Sith would uncover their tomb as they had so many others on that planet of ever-present darkness. So it was that one day an expedition of the Sith Empire lead by an Anzati who's name no longer matters to the galaxy would plunder into The Shaper's tomb, intent on looting and claiming the ancient Sith Lord's artifacts for themselves. Therein they would find the artifacts they sought but more than this the expedition's leader, intent on claiming these ancient works before any others, would be possessed by The Shaper's wrathful spirit. Turned into naught but a vessel for their imminent return.

After wresting control of the Anzati's body from them The Shaper then turned upon the expedition and, once more wielding their ancient, great works, slew those present in order to fuel their fist work of alchemy in millennia. The Shaper found the Anzat's body.... inefficient and revolting. Their incessant desire to feed upon others nothing but a hindrance and a bother to the ancient Sith's spirit. As such the first alchemical practice of the Shaper was to use the death of the expeditionary force in order to alter the body he had possessed, improve it even, by quashing the innate Anzati desire to feed upon others and altering their form to rid themselves of the, in their mind, revolting tendrils the Anzat are so famous for. While subsequently forcing their body to change into, as The Shaper proclaims, a form similar to that of their original body. Now, newly awoken to an acceptable body, the Shaper once again dons the pinnacle of their craft and sets out of their tomb to see what this new Empire the Anzati's memories inform him of has achieved..........

    Shaper2.jpg
Possessing raven black hair that cascades over their shoulders like a waterfall of obsidian along with sharp features The Shaper, purposely crafted or no, cuts a distinct figure. Unlike many of his contemporaries The Shaper often expends the effort to hide the manifestation of his corruption during most encounters and is not above using his carefully-crafted guise to entice and enthrall simpler individuals. Such as bequeathing himself with near luminous silver eyes and features of unnatural clarity and beauty. The only exception to this The Shaper consciously allows is the occasional coloring of his sclera to a more traditional orange/red hue whenever he feels the need to highlight his displeasure.

Aside from this the body he has sculpted for himself in the current age is tall, fit and no longer as 'revolting' as The Shaper considered the vestigial appendages of the Anzat to be. With porcelain-like features and enough musculature to carry the unnatural strength of the Anzat well while maintaining a more human appearance. However, should the Shaper become unable to hold his simple guise one would be able to more clearly see the extent to which his corruption has progressed. His sclera bloom a fiery hue of red as black, inky veins bulge from his skin and deep, unnatural pits of discoloration surround his eyes. His skin turns from smooth, unblemished porcelain to a sickly, pallid white as his raven dark hair becomes coarse and ragged.

    Strengths and Weaknesses
+Anything Worth Doing..... - The Shaper is, more than anything else, a man of obsession and precision. With naught but a desire to perfect his craft and any endeavor he applies himself toward.
+One of the First - Being one of the very first entities to ever proclaim themselves a Lord of the Sith, The Shaper possesses an intrinsic and intimate knowledge of many esoteric and ancient rituals.
+We are the Strong - Perhaps the only ideal that can contend with The Shaper's devotion to his arts is his unwavering loyalty to the ideals of the Sith themselves. No matter their name, time or structure as long as he sees the Sith to be true to their original tenants his loyalty is without question.
+Wisdom Born of Time - Though the Shaper is a prideful being their many millennia of existence have afforded them a fascination with deep inquiry and study, thoughtful discussion and generally given them a perception few beings can appreciate given their long existence.

-Pride Goeth..... - The Shaper is an incredibly skilled and practiced practitioner of Sith Magics and they are very aware of this fact. One of the quickest ways to earn their disdain is to show incompetence in one of his favored arts.
-Obsession is the Heart of Discontent - The Shaper took to the studies of his time like a moth to flame and is just shy of being utterly, helplessly obsessed with his craft.
-Patience of Stone - The Shaper, due to their unnaturally long existence, possesses a patience that can border on apathy for subjects that do not spark their interest. Leading to a 'slow and steady' approach to many situations that may not necessitate such.
-Back in my Day..... - The Shaper views disregard for the efforts of his ancient accomplishments and disrespect to his old contemporaries with immense abhorrence.

~From One Artist to Another - Whether a follower of the Light, Dark or simply a skilled craftsmen with no connection to The Force whatsoever, The Shaper always appreciates fine displays of skill and respects as such.
~The Finer Things - Being dead for millennia has given The Shaper a newfound appreciation for the finer aspects of life from expensive wine, fine tapestries, etc. They are loathe to settle for anything but the very best the galaxy has to offer.
~They are my Creations - Despite what one may think The Shaper is not wholly without care or compassion for other beings and the beasts and artifacts he forges he views with incredible esteem and care. Treating a writhing, horrid Terentatek of his own creation much the same way one might treat a puppy.

  • I T E M S

The Shaper is one of the original Masters of Sith Alchemy from the Hundred Year Darkness. All but unrivaled in his molding of sinew and bone and truly peerless at the shaping and forging of esoteric Sith magics into items, trinkets, armors and weapons of war. The Shaper studied, perfected and honed his craft even at the expense of the usual grasping for power and jealousy that tore apart his contemporaries. And yes, he does take requests.
