SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Weapon out of Time: Due to being notably different than a traditional Lightsaber, The Shaper has had to personalize their fighting style around their weapon, leading to a familiar but ultimately slightly different combat art than most Sith or Jedi.
  • Never Sullied: So proud was The Shaper of this creation that he forged it such that it sheds dirt, mud, marring, scorch marks and other blemishes to it's form.
STRENGTHS
  • Conduit of Power: Even more-so than most ancient Sith Swords Urfael strengthens The Shaper's connection the Dark Side, greatly amplifying their power and refining their control over their abilities to a truly terrifying degree. Some Alter Force abilities such as Force Lightning, Pyrokinesis and Kinetite can even be channeled through the blade.
  • What's Yours is Mine: Urfael possesses the ability to absorb energy from Force Lightning, blaster bolts and even Lightsabers to enhance it's cutting power, unleashing the energy at the wielder's command upon impact.
  • A Modern Convenience: Originally a feature designed to help combat wielder's of other Sith Swords, Urfael is capable of channeling a rare application of Tutaminis to negate the kinetic energy of both other melee weapons and small-arms fire, including bullets from even the most powerful modern slug-thrower pistols and rifles.
  • A Deadly Touch: Perhaps the most insidious feature of Urfael is the coating of Alchemized Laminanium over the blade, imbued with malign magics, a miscroscopic portion of the Laminanium will melt itself to it's liquid form and burrow into wounds Urfael causes. Ripping and tunneling through the victim's body toward their heart, brain and other internal organs. Requiring intense healing or surgery to remove.
WEAKNESSES
  • A Cut Below the Rest: While possessing intense cutting power in it's own right, Urfael does not possess the raw cutting power of your standard Lightsaber unless it is charged with energies from another source.
  • Set in Stone Phrik: Unlike the common Lightsaber, Urfael cannot alter it's length or deactivate, making the application of Trakata entirely impossible.
  • A Jealous Weapon: Being such a potent weapon Urfael makes it quite impossible to wield another Force-touched weapon alongside it. It cannot be supplemented by a Lightsaber or other Sith weapon in the wielder's offhand.
DESCRIPTION
"This blade shall be the first of a new era for the Sith. The first of a line of weapons that shall spill Jedi blood for eternity. Let Syn and her acolytes mold flesh and bone, I shall master their craft next, but for now I wield a true masterpiece. My Gleaming Brilliance." - The Shaper

After the Hundred Year Darkness and their subsequent defeat The Shaper set about crafting what he claims to be the very first Sith Sword to be forged in the galaxy and though he can appreciate the intricacies and craftsmanship of modern Lightsabers he has rejected ever using one himself. Though, in the modern age, he is dismayed by the prevalence of Lightsabers, The Shaper is nonetheless convinced that blades such as his own should be the tools the Sith use to spill Jedi blood. That the magnification to their connection to the Dark Side the swords offer is a much greater boon than the marginal increase to cutting power offered by Lightsabers. That the true mastery, artifice and craftsmanship expressed in the art he sees as the one he began is truly superior to the use of crystals and conductors, of emitters and chambers. Though, in the end, perhaps this is just a deep-seated hubris.
