STRENGTHS

  • High Weapon Count: The Hund boasts many weapons between the weapons pods and the ones mounted to the fighter, making it a threat to enemy starfighters.
  • Detachable Weapon Pods: The Hund carries two weapons pods that can be detached once emptied. Once detached, it improves the speed and maneuverability of the fighter.
  • Sensor and Countermeasure Suite: The Hund carries an advanced sensor and countermeasure suite, making sure that this fighter is well-equipped to identify and deal with threats.
  • Better the Longer the Battle: At the start of a battle, the Hund is as fast and manuverable as any other starfighter, but as the battle goes on and it detaches its weapon pods, it get real fast, real quick.
WEAKNESSES

  • Detachable Weapon Pods: The Hund can only detach its weapons pods at the same time. This means that if one pod is empty and the other full, the pilot has to either fly around with an empty pod, reducing performance, or jettisoning a full pod, for performance. Additionally, the fighter has no missile tubes mounted to itself, they are only in the pods, meaning that once the pods are gone, it's all guns.
  • EMP/Ion Blasts: The Hund has many advanced systems that are a boon to its pilot, but after too many blasts from EMP/Ion weaponry it will reduce effectiveness if not knocking out certain systems.
  • SLAM MK. II: When the pilot engages the SLAM MK. II it disables all weapons systems until the jump is complete.
DESCRIPTION
The Naval Corp of Engineering 100a Superiority Fighter, or the Hund, was designed to break the mold of the Imperial Navy on using TIE type fighters. In the everchanging, everadvancing enviroment of space battles, there is a need for superior fighters that aren't limited by the twin ion engine design. That is where the Hund and its sister ship the Jagdhund (to be revealed at a later date) come in. The sleek and aerodynamic design of the Hund is a step up from the ball and solar panels of TIE designs. The cockpit allows for much more visibility, and a 270 degree field of view. And its modular weapon pods, make for a much heavier load than that of regular TIE fighters. But instead of crushing the TIE anymore, lets get to the meat and potatoes of the Hund.

The Hund enjoys eight weapon harpoints within the main fusilage of the fighter. Six are within the main wing roots, for three on each "wing," and two fire-linked (meaning they fire simultaneously) autocannons mounted in the nose with a reserve of one-hundred rounds for each autocannon. Then there are the weapon pods with two modular set-ups for the time being. The first choice includes another autocannon, but with a reduced ammunition load of fifty, and a missile tube that has a capacity for three universal missiles. The second is two missile tubes with a capacity of five missile per tube.

Don't let the armaments fool you, she is also well protected by a suite of multi-layered shields and an impressive countermeasure suite. And has an advanced sensor and targeting suite to help the pilot land shots and secure victory.

"Quality. Perfection. Order."

Very cool sub! However with the new rules, it can't be Minor. I would like to ask you to modify the production scale or the rating:
6. Extreme ratings require justification and elaboration in the main body of the submission.
7. Extreme ratings must be submitted as Semi-Unique or Unique.
You can find this in the Factory rules (General Submission Guidelines section)
