  • m9iV36K.png
  • Combat Function: Navy Pilot Clones provide comprehensive starfighter combat and space support operations, dividing their skills into appropriate branches to target specific threats
  • Force Abilities (Force User Units Only): None
Strengths:
  • Ace: These Pilots are trained at a level that makes their prowess come just short of a Droid Tri-Fighter from the CIS, able to pose a genuine danger even to Force Sensitive Pilots due to having been flash trained in Naval Warfare and Single Seat fighter combat literally everyday from birth. They also naturally pick up faster on the controls of newer models of starfighter, should they encounter them. They learned how to fly before they learned how to even freaking crawl. Each pilot is the epitome of discipline in combat, whether lone or in squadrons, and are highly skilled in formation and are volley fire experts with their starfighters or underwater with their Devilfish Subs
  • Dead Eye: They have exceptional aim with their Pistols, able to hit fast moving targets at long distances with only minimal sight profile. Some are even skilled enough to bank shots off of certain energy shields or other charged/reflective surfaces to try and hit targets behind cover
  • Ever charge: They wield a weapon that recharges it's seven shot ammo constantly, and only completely burning out or over working it's recharging power cell will cause it to truly run out of ammo. Issued to all pilots for survival/defense scenarios
  • Resistant: Their intense focus and discipline allow them some very minor resistance to mind tricks and weak Force Illusions (And also prevents each and every last one of them from mentioning what corpo made them. They will happily lie right to your face.)
  • Fearless: Normally, these Clone troopers will defend or assault a position to the death or otherwise fight without any regard for their own demise unless specifically ordered to withdraw or retreat
  • Perfected Clone: Brilliant tweaking of their genetics long ago by BMC means these clones do not suffer from Clone Degeneration once fully grown. They also do not suffer from Clone Madness. Their particular template has been modified to grow slightly faster, and accept flash training more easily. This leads to reduced weight for replacements. These particular clones are engineered to withstand greater G-forces and pressure on their body, allowing them to execute far more extreme and sudden maneuvers (As in, pushing the agility of a craft temporarily beyond it's normal limits as though it's just a Droid Starfighter) that would normally risk killing or blacking out standard pilots for brief periods before their bodies need time to recover. This genetic modification allows them to also survive higher gravity worlds up to three or even four times the standard for humans for brief periods of up to an hour, resist weapons like advanced gravity generators, and even possessing heavily increased, Wookiee like physical strength as a natural side effect. This also makes them adept at carrying out and surviving underwater operations, and they occasionally use submarines
  • Jedi Friendly: No hidden murderous compulsions or behavior chips, so no need to worry about getting sixty-sixed by a large group of them
  • Drone Warfare: Certain Pilots are trained exclusively to remotely control large numbers of Droid Fighters, which add a unique element to their strategy, as Specialized Droid Starfighters are sent in as an advance force, primarily by first sending vicious waves of TIE M4's (Tie Fighter Missiles packed with heavy explosive payloads) into their targets. The Clones in those control ships are specially trained in and are very skilled at remotely piloting multiple Drones at once, especially the missiles. M4's make up the largest segments of the Drone Force, followed by TIE M1's (Drone TIE Fighters equipped with Turbolasers) to Harass capital ship weaponry, and occasionally swarms of TIE M5's (For All purpose Assaults) Usually after the first wave of M4's and sometimes the M1's, is when the Clones fly in on heavy bombers and multirole starfighters to engage a hopefully now softened up force, followed in quickly by Clone Pilots in interceptors to engage enemy starfighters.
  • Variety: These Clones are trained in a variety of vehicles and starfighters to support ground and space Operations, acting as everything from fighter pilots, to transport, to simple couriers, and they are all highly skilled at fixing and maintaining them. The Most Common Clone Pilots are the Ones in Multirole Fighters and Support Vehicles, Jack of All trades pilots who use tight formations and tried and true squadron discipline to often focus their attacks on singular, powerful targets to overwhelm shields, defeat armor, and potentially take down faster fighters through squad tactics, or simply to transport vital information, supplies, or equipment. Of All Pilots, these ones have the best chance of coming back alive, with pilots serving in certain types of assignments multiple times hand picked for roles in much more specialized types of squadrons that are more High Risk Roles. Heavy Fighter Pilots reinforce the Assaults of Multirole, Bomber, Or Interceptor Pilots by pushing into waves of enemies with superior defenses and fire power. Mainly used for Capital Ship Assaults and Dogfighting. Bombers are used exclusively for Capital Ship and Planetary Assaults. Interceptors are used almost exclusively for dogfights and Capital Ship Assaults.
Weaknesses:
  • Organic troops, Organic Problems: They have all the weaknessess of a typical organic...need for food, waste disposal, counseling if suffering extreme trauma that overrides their otherwise fearless nature
  • Outdated Equipment: Much of their equipment is still very powerful, and still very useful but may struggle against jamming attempts and modern ion weapons especially, in addition to modern missile designs which they seem to have more trouble shaking without occasional assistance
  • Force Users: Despite mental resistance, they are still vulnerable to every other Force Power, including Lightsabers
  • Melee: Best at ranged weapons. Kung Fu isn't really a strong suit.
  • Bioweapons: Due to their tweaked genes, they are slightly more vulnerable to bio attacks then other Clone Weapons
  • Slower Heal: Due to tweaked genetics, the heal slightly slower than a regular human, even when fully immersed in Bacta, their recovery rate is still slightly slower than that of a normal human immersed in the stuff
  • Risk of breakage: The Clone may be able to withstand more intense turns, but not necessarily the fighter they are piloting. Pulling more extreme turns risk damage to the space frame, which may in turn compromise certain systems of the fighter
  • Drone Better?: Drone Pilots are especially vulnerable in their ships, and while they pull evasive maneuvers to full effect and use every trick in their arsenal to survive while engaging, they still need a dedicated escort of either Multirole Fighters or Interceptors to ensure the best chance of coming home. For this reason, Drone Pilots in control ships try to operate at the edge of the battlefield, far from the thickest combat or heaviest danger, and are more vulnerable to their drone control signals getting jammed. Most often, their escorts are Clone Z-95 Aftermarket starfighters...hardly the best ones in their arsenal, but enough to get the job done
  • Separation Anxiety: These Clones do not like leaving their vehicle behind. Due to being trained from birth to pilot they are essentially addicted to piloting, and become extremely agitated and paranoid if they haven't flown in a while. To the point they may attempt to steal a Starfighter from their own base in their temporary mania
  • Judicious Use: It takes a long amount of time to make one despite lots of them being available. Clone Pilots are deployed sparingly for only the most essential operations
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Navy Pilot Clones are the hard hitting starfighter centric portion of Kytrand's Clone Army, designed and trained from the ground up as a competent pilot that can naturally withstand immense G-Force and Pressure, and can pose a threat even to Force User Pilots and Droid Starfighters. These Clones bear the distinction of being one of the only Kytrand Clone Units active during the Plague, at least during their early parts, unfrozen by desperate Bloodscrawls needing them to turn the tide in otherwise hopeless, now forgotten conflicts. Pilots are offered some of the most generous contracts of any unit in the Lost Clone Army of Kytrand, and even occasionally inspire jealousy from other clones due to being among the only units in the new era they have awoken in getting to use new equipment. After their contract is up, the company helps them find work and community integration, and treats their anxiety for as long as they work for them

The Navy Pilots have Three ranks and multiple subdivisions that apply.

GRUNTS

Grunts are the bottom of the command structure. They get the most basic starfighters and are front and center for any first wave/long term attack and defense, distracting the enemy with sheer aggression. Grunts are Chosen from the Support Service of the Branch, and assigned to certain kinds of squadrons depending on their conduct in support.

Multirole Grunts Either Fly Z-95 Aftermarket starfighters (A recent retrofit courtesy of Nathan Bloodscrawl) coordinate in dog fights, assaults on military targets, and in general, do all the work other special squadrons don't. Multirole pilots who survive several missions are offered the choice to stay in their own branch and become an Ace, or go into a different branch, depending on the missions they completed. If they do, they stay at Grunt

Heavy Starfighter Grunts pilot B6 Bladewing Replicas, assisting Bombers, Interceptors, and Multirole Starfighters primarily in capital ship assault, and occasionally dogfights, and are frontal assault units, using onboard composite Laser beams to attacks weapon emplacements and small capital ship engines with coordinated fire. Though a large part of the second most numerous branch, with numbers just under the first branch, their position is considered more dangerous with lower expectations of survival as they are considered higher priority targets, and draw more aggression from the enemy into a fight

Bomber Grunts pilot swift and agile Hapan Bombers, and are tough combatants skilled at conducting capital ship and Planetary assault, Bomber Grunts are considered extremely high priority targets, and often receive a light escort in spite of their swiftness, and are estimated as at a much lower rate of survival than other grunts

Interceptor Grunts are among the least common pilots, those who survived vicious dogfights that came without warning, and fly some of the fastest craft they can currently field, but have very poor shields, as all these fighters are Tie Clawcrafts that have high speed but better agility, and powerful laser cannons. Being a kind of Tie Pilot, they are considered suicidal by the other branches, and are considered more dangerous to Jedi and Droid Pilots, and the ones who survive to be promoted to Ace are considered more suicidal than that.

ACES

Aces are pilots who have been promoted after having proven themselves in their chosen vocation by surviving ten missions of heavy combat. Aces try and slip in through enemy lines while they are busy fending off grunts. They are highly disciplined at coordinating attacks not just with grunts in their own branch of service but Aces in other branches of the Pilot Service in hit and run/hit and fade assaults to achieve singular objectives, with grunts working with aces in other branches during special operations without question.

Multirole Aces pilot TIE Avengers, and are considered dangerous even to modern fighters. Whatever the missions they are front and center for it, and use a combination of their weapons and ability to withstand G-forces at precise moments to potentially inflict havoc on any enemy encountered.

Heavy Fighter Aces pilot Belbullab-22 Fighters, and emphasize the doctrine of pure aggression in reinforcing other branches, relying on armor, shields, and powerful weapons to cut a potential bloody swath into enemy units, widening the gap for faster fighters to slip in or fighters with longer ranges to attack. Considered even higher priority threats then the Bladewing for their ability to coordinate highly aggressive assault waves of long range bombardment of military targets

Bomber Aces pilot devastating Imperial Missile Boats, raining hell on capital ships, ground targets, and occasionally fighters After the Blade Wings fire their composite beams, the aces try to follow up with small volleys of their more abundant missiles Considered extreme threats, they require more stringent escort s at times

Inceptor Aces pilot all white versions of the First Order TIE, and are considered exceptionally deadly as hunters of other Aces, especially when coordinating attacks from interceptor grunts to corral particularly dangerous prey

LEADERS

Squadron Leaders are the Ace of Aces, those who have survived fourteen truly dangerous missions, and pilot singular craft that is distinct from the others of its squadron, and coordinate attack and defense for the Squadron as a whole, while leading the attack and pursuing the most dangerous targets for themselves

Multirole Leaders pilot The Star Wing, which is not as fast as the Avenger, but has better armor, shields and more weapons, making them a possibly severe threat no matter what or who they engage.

Heavy Leaders Pilot the Classic Arc-170 and are skilled at directing defensive cover for bombers and starfighters, and tough, tenacious and dogged in their assaults

Bomber Leaders Pilot the Classic BTL-B Y-Wing and are skilled at coordinating sheer, destructive and indiscriminate saturation bombing of targets, more likely to try and crush the enemy

Interceptor Leaders are considered the most suicidal of the Interceptor Branch, as they have the least defenses of any fighter, yet can possibly evade and eviscerate point defense weapons and enemy Aces with chilling ease

SUPPORT

Navy Support Pilots use vehicles considered vital in their ability to engage the enemy. These Pilots are the bottom rank of the bottom rank, with Pilots demonstrating their discipline and survival instincts here first before being allowed to use fighters. It's also a way to check if the Clone remembers all their flash training. Many Pilots opt to stay in these roles however, as someone has to do the dirty work. Many even genuinely enjoy it.

COURIERS

Couriers fly Koro-2 Airspeeders or RHO-1 Transports, the first for Planetary travel, the Second for Interplanetary travel. They often carry vital information or supplies. Considered a Fast Track to becoming a Standard Multirole Grunt

SCOUTS

Grunts chosen to pilot X-Wings or Surveillance Vessels for scouting duties for other squadrons and military units, Considered a fast track to becoming an Interceptor Grunt or Drone Coordinator

DRONE COORDINATORS

These Grunts are Specially Chosen to pilot special control ships to direct Drone Starfighters. Considered a fast track to Bomber Grunt

VEHICLE TRANSPORT:

These Grunts Pilot heavy vehicles containing troops or other vehicles to the surface or Underwater of planets. Considered a Fast Track to Spec Ops

AERIAL ARTILLERY

Pilots flying Lancet Aerial Artillery, supplementing ground assault. Considered a Fast Track to Heavy Fighter Grunt

SPEC OPS.

Pilot Clones skilled in piloting underwater subs and conducting underwater attacks and operations. They work with Drone Coordinators using Manta Droid Fighters to supplement their assault.
