STANDARD FEATURES
ADVANCED SYSTEMS

  • Immense Speed and Manueverability
  • Easily Acquired from multiple sources, or illegally reproduced
STRENGTHS
  • Ain't no Party like a TIE Fighter Party: Still a state of the art design millenia after it was introduced, the TIE/fo can run circles around fighters with lesser engines, swarming them in complex hit and run attacks or sheer massed assaults. It is also slightly more protective than the original TIE fighters they were based on.
  • Repair Friendly: Can be repaired with a wide variety of emergency parts in the field. Fighters stranded are not stranded for long
  • Classic: Infamously easy to learn and use but difficult to master. Can be customized to hearts content (Requires new sub if its more than color changes or special hyperdrive)
WEAKNESSES
  • Speed/Agility imbalance: Due to having more systems in it than the original TIE Fighter Series, it weighs slightly more. This makes it slightly less agile than it is fast (Thogh its agility is still considerable) and this problem must be considered so the pilot is not undone at the last second by the speed sabotaging an evasive manuver and causing a fatal mistake or collision
  • Weak Weapons: Only Laser Cannons. Don't send this against bases unless you just need point defenses taken out
  • Weak Defense: It can take a few hits. Two more than a TIE/ln could handle unless it was lucky. But that still isn't saying much.
  • Hyperdive must be purchased seperately: TIE/fo's can be sometimes found with hyperdrives, but its rare and usually only in very old examples, and they must usually be purchased and installed seperately, fortunately, all TIE/fo's seem able to accept hyperdrive upgrades without much fuss
  • Ion: Extremely vulnerable to Ion, EMP weapons
  • Age: Extremely old examples sometimes come already equipped with hyperdrives, but these fighters require much more frequent maintainance. It's best to get it new, unless you want the flex of piloting an antique. More power to you if that's the case.
DESCRIPTION

Based off the infamous TIE/ln, the TIE/fo was the primary starfighter of the Original incarnation of the First Order. Taking a less control freak approach in contrast to the original Galactic Empire, The First Order made sure their Pilots had a better chance than the original TIE pilots did of coming back alive. The TIE was altered in significant ways, with options to install a hyperdrive as necessary, seemingly for trusted, dedicated pilots whose loyalty was almost beyond question (For no one's loyalty is truly beyond question in such a government). The result was a safer, much more trusty craft that any true pilot could become an ace in. With the Fall of the Original First Order, the design was stolen and has experieced an especially intense proliferation among various interested parties and is often considered on the "High End" of basic, mass produced starfighters, still being located in lost ships and caches, or being made to order due to the Junta's research having long since been leaked everywhere. Can come in multiple colors, especially if being used by non imperial characters and groups. If you have one, you can bring order to the space ways as an awesome lone vigilante with a tragic past. The fighter is of such quality that while unusual it is not as rare as one might believe to find an extremely old one that is still combat capable to a high degree.
