The Milvayne-Class Heavy Cruiser is an larger and more upgraded version of the Munificent-Class Star Frigate used by the Ancient Confederacy of Independent Systems. Finding that the Star Frigate was unable to defend itself probably from enemy warships; the Heavy Cruiser variant solved many of the issues but kept much of the same overall internal structure to save cost.
The Chairman of the Milvayne Commercial Association was well aware that having a corporate fleet to defend their interests would raise some questions amongst the senate regarding another mass corporate faction springing up. However there was a small loophole in the fact that these vessels were built from antique ones which meant they were not regarded as modernized vessels but as historic ships from a past conflict.
The Milvayne Variant comes equipped with very high defensive capacities and offensive capacities to make it stand up to larger navies without being blown apart.
