OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Mekhisian Vong
  • Designation: Sentient
  • Origins:
    • Selvaris - Initial Creation and Testing Location
  • Average Lifespan: 85 Galactic Standard Years
  • Estimated Population: Rare
  • Description: The first experiments by the Order of Arcane Syn into creating sentient technobeasts from their third generation nanospores, the Mekhisian Vong are a complete aberration from traditional Yuuzhan Vong. Most of their bodies are covered in the now white colored plates of their vonduun armor, cutting a fearsome and blasphemous figure as they wield the amphistaves they bonded with prior to their transformations with lethal efficiency. The only remaining organic portions of their bodies is the lower part of their faces, all the better to showcase their ferocity and horrifying visage.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Due to their metallic/cybernetic nature, they do not require an atmosphere to survive.
  • Average Height of Adults: 1.9 meters
  • Average Length of Adults: N/A
  • Skin color:
    • Their remaining organic parts remain either grayish-violet or yellowish.
    • Their cybernetic/metallic parts are either a blood-red color or a porcelain color.
  • Hair color: No hair
  • Distinctions: The most distinctive physical traits of the Mekhisian Vong are the armor-plating that has been fused with their bodies along with the porcelain-colored amphistaves fused to their arms. Besides that, the only hint of what their original nature was is the lower parts of their faces as they were not changed by the nanospores and the generally fearsome appearance of a mostly cybernetic Vong warrior.
  • Races: No other races
  • Force Sensitivity: Force Dead
Strengths:
  • In the process of subjecting the Vong to the mutations of the Gitaxias Nanospore, the vonduun crab armor and amphistaves that are bonded with each warrior are fused to them essentially as cybernetic weapon and armor attachments. This has resulted in much of their body being near-immune to lightsabers and other infantry wielded weaponry while wielded weapons that can cut through every material a traditional amphistaff can.
  • The poison that coats the amphistaves' blades have been modified to a paralytic venom mixed with the ichor that contains the Gitaxias Nanospore, resulting in easier means of potentially infecting a victim and transforming them into a technobeast themselves. In addition, the amphistaves retain their ability to be wielded as a blade or as a whip weapon, giving the Vong options for both close quarters and distance combat.
  • The aberration within the Force that is the Vong has been maintained even after their transformation, although perhaps weakened a little due to their alchemized and cybernetic nature, keeping the technobeasts as absences within the Force. This means that Mekhisian Vong are highly resistant to essentially immune to most Force Powers and cannot be sensed by Force users.
Weaknesses:
  • While the armor plating fused to their bodies provides them with a superior protection from lightsabers and other infantry weapons, there are certain weak points that can be exploited to quickly injure or kill the cybernetic Vong. Gaps in the plates, specifically in the under arm and behind the knee, are vulnerable and heavier weaponry such as from vehicles can still blast through the armor.
  • A Jedi healing trance, Force Light, or applications of heat can halt the progress of the nanospores contained within the ichor, stopping the possible transformation into a technobeast by a victim of the creatures.
  • While the Vong retain their Force Deadness, they still remain vulnerable to the few Force Powers that can target them. These include Force Lightning/Electric Judgment and Shatterpoint, or if a Force user has developed the ability Vongsense to shift into their spectrum of the Force. In the latter case, this means they can be sensed and affected by the Force Powers of that Force Sensitive.
CULTURE
  • Diet: Due to their metallic/cybernetic nature, these Vong do not require sustenance in the traditional sense. However, they will still go through the motions of consuming matter as it assists the nanospores coursing through them in repairing damage they might receive.
  • Communication: As they retain their sentience from before their transformation, they can speak any languages they knew beforehand. In this case, they generally will speak in the native language of the Yuuzhan Vong, Galactic Basic, and the Sith language after having it incorporated into their cybernetic brains by the nanospores and alchemists.
  • Technology level: Galactic Standard, although they prefer using the amphistaves and vonduun crab armor that was mechanized and fused to their bodies.
  • Religion/Beliefs:
    • In a twisting of their original religious beliefs from their Yun'do origins, the Mekhisian Vong have replaced their original gods with those of the Sith they once served under the One Sith and the Sith of the modern era that have given them new purpose. Three of the more significant Sith within the belief system are:
      • Reverance - Lord of War and Renewal
      • Carnifex - Lord of Domination and Pain
      • Arcanix - Lady of Evolution and Purpose
    • As part of this new belief system the Mekhisian Vong have developed, their stance on eugenics now reflects their cybernetic existence. They believe that the old ways of the Vong failed them, that they only survived the initial destruction and challenges on Selvaris because they were willing to embrace the sacrifice of their old lives, to embrace the pain that caused them and the pain of their mutation. They now believe they have achieved a perfection that must be shared with others with a religious fervor.
  • General behavior:
    • Mekhisian Vong, while retaining their sentience, still remain technobeasts and no longer care for such things as culture and luxuries and instead devote much of their time and existence to serving their masters as warriors. The newly cybernetic Vong have been selected by Arcanix and Carnifex as heavy shock troopers that can be deployed in small groups or individually depending on the situation, generally under the command of a Sith Adept. On Selvaris, where the initial experiments into their creation have been taking place, they have been acting as hunter squads to wipe out remaining Mawite creations and other survivors on the planet, with both Sith expecting to use them in similar roles against Jedi and other enemies in the near future.
    • When they are not deployed into a military situation, the Mekhisian Vong rarely leave their creches as they are either repairing their bonded cybernetic armor and weapons or entering an almost pray-like stance as they await their next command or moment when they are to plan an assault. In the rare moments they are not engaged in these activities, they can be found standing sentinel and one might almost mistake them for metallic statues before they respond to the presence of others.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

With Project Mekhis entering into its second stage, the beginning experiments on sentient beings, the Order of Arcane Syn began seeking locations that might provide ideal testing environments and situations. It had been determined that the experiments would not begin on Nar Shaddaa or other locations beginning to be tied to the project, and while several locations were suggested, the Lady of Secrets ultimately decided upon Selvaris as a location for a few reasons. Chief among them was the renewed interest by both Darth Arcanix and Darth Carnifex Darth Carnifex in remnants of the One Sith that had survived into the new modern era, with Selvaris once being a world of significance to that Sith faction and the Yuuzhan Vong allies. While the planet had suffered some calamities in the past and had been held by the Brotherhood of the Maw, both Sith Lords suspected that survivors of the previous culling had remained within the jungles.

Teams of Adepts from the Order of Arcane Syn and the Kainite, escorted by Sorzus Legionaries and Blackblade soldiers, arrived on the world and discovered two things. The Maw had left behind a great many zombified and other alchemical creations and that, indeed, small pockets of Legion Yun'do aligned Vong had survived and were now eager to once again serve the Sith. Even while the joint operation began recovering artifacts and equipment from the world, and shipping recruited Vong back to their controlled planets, Darth Arcanix and her Cybergene Alchemists requested volunteers for their project with the Gitaxias Nanospore. Those selected were injected with the nanospore, along with their bonded weapons and armor, to create the first Mekhisian sentient technobeasts. The Sith Lady and her alchemists had been unsure if the nanospore would affect the Vong normally, considering their Force Dead nature, but the metallic and cybernetic mutations took shape regardless as cells and tissues were transformed into metal, circuits, and oily ichor.

The new technobeasts were fearsome, and more importantly, remained dead to the Force within the traditional spectrums that the Jedi and Sith operated within. As field tests, the Maw creations on world, along with other pockets of survivors from the Alliance and other smaller factions, were selected as targets and the new cybernetic Vong were deployed as hunter squads to wipe them out... even if this might alert the Alliance to the presence of a strange new creature.
