One of the few Mon Calamari warships to be built specifically for war, the MC-100 'Vindicator' was born from the union of Free Dac Engineering and Shovik-Orion Defense Solutions, a beneficiary contract to begin the production of a series of warships to reinforce the Alliance Navy against the onslaught of the Brotherhood of the Maw. Brought together under this common purpose, the twin engineering giants immediately began to scour over the records provided to them by the Alliance Navy.
It quickly became apparent the primary workhouse of the GADF was beginning to be outgunned by the Mawite Warfleet.
The 'Vindicator' type was designed to be it's reprieve. A 5 kilometer warship, it was nearly twice the size of the standard Starhawk III and packed much more firepower. Learning from the mistakes of the past, the bridge of the MC-100 would be internal, with numerous sensors and cameras buried deep within the heavily armored hull. In addition to this, the MC-100 would learn from earlier Mon Cal designs by reinforcing it's heavily protected hull with layers upon layers of shields.
Otherwise standard components of Mon Calamari starships were added to the MC-100, including it's homey feel, with warm white lights lighting the interior of the warship as opposed to paler, darker lights and colors. In addition to this, the MC-100 would play host to a number of advanced systems including a Solid Fuel Converter, and Molecular Furnace, making the warships of this line semi-self sufficient.
Drawbacks of the MC-100 included it's wide frame and limited Point Defense Network, making it dependent on it's host of starfightgers, not to mention it's utter lack of speed and maneuverability. Slightly made up by the unorthodox incorporation of Predator Interdiction Drives at the insistence of Shovik-Orion engineers, the unique drive system represented an infusion of ancient Sith technology never before used in the Galactic Alliance Defense Force.
Overall, the 5km MC-100 'Vindicator' would be launched several months after the Battle of Jedha, to be used by the GADF in it's war effort against the Brotherhood of the Maw. For a generous price, of course.
