“I do not care if you think they will cut you into pieces, we cannot let them get their hands on the cache of weapons we store here…”
The Nagai gripped his lieutenant by the collar as the words left his mouth in a torrent of rage and spit.
“The Sith have occupied this planet, and until this triumvirate rose to power they overlooked the trafficking and profit making engine this shadowport has provided for us for a nominal fee. Suddenly they want more. They want control. It’s always take take take with them.”
“We could just give them what they want? What good are credits if we are not alive to spend them?”
A shot rang out and silenced the rest of the smugglers gathered in the room. Clearly it was not open for debate. They were going to make a run for it, and take as many of the weapons as they could, especially the rare and valuable ones. There was not a lot of time to clear out. Even as the capital ships of the Sith settled into orbit around the planet. Things were changing. What had once been a stable agreement, no longer held any value it seemed.
The Sith were starting up their war machine once more, and that meant they needed profits, credits, weapons, anything that would keep it running. The smuggling operations were valuable, but so was the cargo they had hidden throughout the planet.
“What about the artifact?”
“Leave it… arm it… maybe that will keep them busy so we can escape.”
Several nods were given around the makeshift stand up meeting. It was clear things were devolving into every smuggler for themselves, but not before ensuring an escape plan that kept them alive.
Or so they thought.
A wave of dark side energy washed though the room. The artifact had been activated with less than desired results. The life force of each smuggler was drained as a sacrifice to power the device. Was it a weapon? They really did not know. It was too late to find that out. Whatever they had their hands on, it was dangerous, deadly.
“My lord, I’m reading some kind of energy surge from the planet below.”
A hooded figure approached the naval officer. His deep baritone voice made something akin to pondering hum.
“Life signs?”
“None…”
“Isolate the epicenter and send me the coordinates. I must inform Empyrean.”
Objective 1: Smuggle me this Smuggle me that
A local smuggling network with ties to the Hutts has been allowed to operate on Faldos unperturbed - but recent rebel cells have been tracked to weapons they sold. The agreement and protect offered to them has been rescinded on the Grand Tribune's orders. They are to be put to the sword, burned from Faldos - root to stem. Infiltrate their headquarters, a shipping warehouse near the space port, and bring them to the executioner's block - or enact your own form of judgement.
All their assets are free to the conqueror's right. Get their records, sell them to the next criminals, or arm yourselves with their stash.
Objective 2: They’re dead Jim
An artifact at a separate location has been foolishly ignited - draining the life force from every nearby. First it was the local bar, tucked away from prying eyes - but soon it expanded its field outwards to the neighboring homes, apartments, and stores. More than three dozen now lie dead, and the Sith must enter this field to deactivate it before it can expand further. You are tasked with entering, sealing this device, and returning it to the Research Corp for study.
Do not allow it to expand its range any more.
Objective 3: Eliminating the Competition
As Faldos begins to fall under the control of the Imperium, loose ends begin to rear their heads. A Kainite scouting ship has been detected on the edge of the system, and a response force was quickly organized to deal with it. The Order demands a singular thing, the navigational data stored on the computers to track down the Malsheem. Boarding parties have already breached the port hanger, causing a large battle to begin to stir in the depths of the vessel. End this war before it can begin.
Objective 4: BYOO
Have fun. Be Sith. Explore Faldos. Make friends or enemies. Whatever your hand finds to do… do it.
