- Name: Kraujas Arana
- Kraujas Arana is ur-Kittat, the language of the Sith, for Blood Angel.
- Designation: Sentient
- Origins:
- Average Lifespan:
- Given the average lifespan of a typical Echani is roughly the same as Human, estimated between 100 to 120 Galactic Standard Years, the augmentations and sorcerous alterations caused by the Changing Ceremony have increased their average lifespan to roughly 150 Galactic Standard Years.
- Estimated Population: Planetary
- The majority of the population of Kraujas Arana are centered on the world of Amaltanna, originally being the result of alchemical and sorcerous experimentation by the Lady of Secrets and her followers. In recent years, small flights of the species have emigrated to other worlds connected to the Sith, such as Jutrand, Korriban, Ziost, and Dromund Kaas to name a few, either in service to a powerful Sith or to guard a location of significance to the dark side.
- Description:
- Beautiful and ethereal, dangerous and combat obsessed, the Kraujas Arana are a personification of the dark side twisting even symbols of good. These angelic beings, borne upon the air with wings that seemed permanently stained with blood, wield weapons and powers of darkness to better hone themselves into the strongest warriors they can be.

PHYSICAL INFORMATION
- Breathes: Type I
- Average Height of Adults:
- Typically, the average height of a Kraujas Arana is roughly 2 meters, although the strongest of their species have been observed to stand roughly 2.5 meters tall, suggesting the original subject's capabilities and genetics could be a determining factor in the height of their new form.
- Average Length of Adults: N/A
- Skin color:
- The skin color of a typical Kraujas Arana is pale, almost ethereal, white as a callback to the original Echani specimens used in their creation. However, in recent years, a larger spectrum of skin colors has begun to develop as a more diverse pool of subjects have been deemed worthy by the Matriarchs to join their ranks.
- Hair color:
- Universally, all Kraujas Arana have pure white hair with flecks of crimson symbolizing the blood used in their creation typically appearing at the ends of their hair or as a streaks. The Order of Arcane Syn alchemists have theorized that the hair pattern or color of the original subject, before the Changing Ceremony, can affect how the red coloration appears within their newly bleached coloration.
- Distinctions:
- The most distinctive physical traits of the Kraujas Arana, besides being a strictly female species, are their large wings that appear permanently blood-stained and their almost universally white hair, although some exceptions have been noted. Older Matriarchs of the species have also developed near pitch black eyes, a disconcerting feature when combined with their beauty.
- Races:
- Ardasa Arana - The result of some Kraujas Arana being exposed to the energies of the Netherworld, typically around established portals such as the Warlock Gate on Dathomir or those Arana that serve the Dark Valkyries of the Kainate, and mutating into a form that can better channel the potent energies of life and death.
- Ayitatsa Arana - The result of some Kraujas Arana having an innate connection to the feelings of avarice and jealousy that can fuel aspects of the dark side, altering their appearances and their abilities to form deals and connections that bind others to them in a web of debts and reliance.
- Totia Arana - The result of some Kraujas Arana being overcome by their love of battle and rage while guarding and containing the corruption on the planet Elrood, mutating into a more ferocious form.
- Kraujas Yirmiti - The result of the Changing Ceremony going awry, whether it is because of a failure on the part of the Matriarch performing the rite or an unforeseen complication from the subject, these bloody-colored fusions of women and birds of prey serve their fully ascended sisters as guardians and bestial frontline attackers.
- Force Sensitivity: All
- Due to the initial creation process of the species involving the uplifting and transformation of Force Sensitive Echani, each member of the species is able to wield the Force to some degree and can be further trained in its usage, although innate knowledge of some abilities were imprinted onto each angelic being upon the Changing Ceremony being completed. As their community matured, and the Changing Ceremony was refined, the subjects no longer needed to be Echani, but still required at least some level of Force Sensitivity to even be deemed worthy of joining the Kraujas Arana truly.
- Gifted knowledge through the original Changing Ceremony created by the Lady of Secrets and her alchemists, each member of the Kraujas Arana have a few innate Force Power abilities they can access. In addition to these imprinted abilities, they have a powerful connection to the dark side and can even be further trained as students by Sith. The imprinted abilities they have access to are:
- Force Rage
- Force Corruption
- Enhance Attribute
- Sith Magic
- Sith Alchemy
- The innate knowledge for Handmaidens and Daughters only extends to the ability to forge and infuse the dark side into their chosen weapons and armor. Upon ascension to Matriarch, the Kraujas Arana is also able to perform the Changing Ceremony upon those they deem worthy to create a new Kraujas Arana Handmaiden.
- Due to their Echani origins and the subsequent development of their culture in a mirror of the Echani matriarchy and worship of combat, Kraujas Arana are exceptionally capable warriors. Whether it is wielding their alchemized weapons or even utilizing their bare hands, they are extremely skilled in many combat techniques and traditions, especially those of the Echani in honor of their heritage.
- Through the Changing Ceremony, the alterations result in enhanced durability and strength for each individual Kraujas Arana, with even the newest Handmaidens being able to overpower a Wookiee or Whiphid in sheer strength. As they grow older and mature into Daughters and Matriarchs, they only grow stronger and more resistant to injury.
- Through the Changing Ceremony, each Kraujas Arana is able to sustain flight for prolonged periods of time due to their large and powerful wings.
- Through the Changing Ceremony, as an addition from the Lady of Secrets, each Kraujas Arana has a siren's call that allows them to manipulate the weak-willed and force them to serve, lulling them into a pliant state where they can shape them into extremely loyal devotees and servants.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
[ Include a description of the species history here. If your species is genetically engineered or Sithspawn please describe the process through which they were created, by who, and why. Explain the various challenges encountered during their creation. Most galactic species will be quite old - include major events relevant to the species in how they evolved and developed into what they are today where appropriate. Including Chaos canon events, where they impacted the history of this species, is a plus. ]

The Watchful Eyes
- If subjected to a Ysalamiri void or void stone, they lose access to their Force abilities until they are able to escape the void's circumference, with the same thing occurring if they are attacked with Force Light or other offensive applications of the Light side of the Force. However, this does not hamper their combat or martial abilities.
- If their wings are damaged, which is not particularly hard, they will be unable to fly until the damage heals. This may take days or weeks depending on the injury sustained.
- Subjects with particularly strong will or Force training (typically Knight and above) can resist the siren's call from the Kraujas Arana
- Diet: Omnivore, Force Energies
- Communication: Can speak and understand Basic and the Sith language, have the capacity to learn other languages as well
- Technology level: Galactic Standard, although they prefer to use more basic equipment such as their alchemy treated armor and spears
- Religion/Beliefs: The Kraujas Arana have adapted their original Echani beliefs in line with their new dark alignment. The reigning Dark Lord or Lady of the Sith has become a demi-god in their eyes, an extension of the pure manifestation of combat they view the dark side as. Through the Dark Lord or Lady, the dark side of the Force commands who the Kraujas Arana must fight and destroy, allowing them the opportunity to become closer and closer to pure expressions of combat themselves by learning from each opponent the lesson the dark side wishes to impart to them.
- General behavior:
The Kraujas Arana, much like their original Echani templates, have formed a three tiered matriarchal society centered completely around combat. The strongest, and oldest, warriors among them are known as Matriarchs. These Matriarchs have complete command over flights (generally one hundred individuals) of Kraujas Arana, dictating the roles the others will fill in their groupings and appraising and teaching the younger warriors for advancement. These Matriarchs also fill the roles of high priestess of their religion as they are the closest and strongest in the dark side, with some rivaling Sith Masters in power. Under the Matriarchs are the Daughters, those that command squadrons (twenty to thirty individuals) within the flights of Kraujas Arana. They fill the roles of battlefield commanders, teachers, and are in charge of providing the armor and weapons of the Kraujas Arana. Beneath the Daughters are the Handmaidens, the youngest, weakest, or newest members of the Kraujas Arana. They form the majority of the species and the front line warriors of the race, aspiring to greater status within their society by destroying the enemies of the Sith or defeating their betters in ritualized combat tests that occur once every year. - Kraujas Arana do not allow themselves luxuries, but to entertain themselves, they will compete in monthly contests in arms or hand to hand combat, or partake in strategy games such as dejarik.
- Kraujas Arana do not reproduce like normal species. Instead, they will seek out females among a population that has been defeated, locating those that are Force Sensitive or have dormant Force Sensitivity that have proven themselves in battle and survived, and subject them to an altering ritual given to them by the Lady of Secrets. The captured females will, over the course of a week, be trapped within a cocoon as they are altered by Sith magic and alchemy into a new Kraujas Arana Handmaiden. The process can be stopped if the cocoon is broken, but what has been done will be unable to be undone.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Started as a project due to the Lady of Secrets, Taeli Raaf, receiving a large amount of Echani refugee prisoners from her wife, Fiolette Raaf, Taeli initially wasn't sure what she was going to do with them. Eventually, she decide that those among the captives that were Force Sensitive would prove more useful for experimentation into powerful female warriors for the Sith, particularly those that made up the current organization known as the Sith Valkyries. Obtaining some samples of ravens from Dathomir, the Lady of Secrets and her sorcerers and alchemists began their work.
Combining aspects of the ravens into the Echani women, the males and non-Force Sensitives were sent to Sith-Imperial prison or re-education camps, the new Kraujas Arana began to form. The new beings, once they emerged from their submersion in the alchemical vats and blood of the Sith laboratory, were beautiful winged creatures, although the process in creating them turned their eyes black and their wings and haired were stained red permanently. Equipping them with Sith Alchemy treated armor and spears, the Lady of Secrets dubbed the new warriors the first Matriarchs of the species and began their tutelage in the dark side.
