The day had finally arrived. Justice was as nervous as the day he asked Hollis on their first date, as excited as the moment she agreed, and as happy as the day she decided to marry him. Whatever the journey, it had been theirs, and the young Lesan was certain the path they were on would be a story for the ages.

It all started with a little bump, and two very clumsy people.

Justice tugged at the collar of his shirt. It was getting tight. He was not used to wearing such restrictive clothing, and he could not wait to wear something more comfortable. At least they would have use of the winery again. Judah had agreed to let them stay there to save money on an expensive honeymoon trip.

Naboo was beautiful this time of year, and the lake which was not far from the LeStar Winery was the perfect place for a small gathering of family and friends. Hollis' parents would be there of course, as would the small group of Jedi which the pair had gotten to know over time. It was an intimate affair, but neither of them needed it to be large. The ceremony needed to be true to who they were. That would likely mean one or both of them would ramble and share a couple of clumsy moments.

Still, it would be perfect.

That was the one thought Justice kept thinking as he stood with his Uncle Judah and Valery Noble Valery Noble , waiting for Hollis to walk down the aisle. Force sake it was nerve wracking.

Holpost.png
Breathe, Hollis... don't pass out.
These were the words Hollis repeated like a mantra.
While the wedding party was gathering down by the lake in anticipation of a the ceremony, Hollis was still sequestered -- hidden away from the groom and his prying eyes. Her mother had helped her dress and do her makeup, but the moment Hollis saw tears forming in her mother's eyes, she sent the woman swiftly out of the room.

"Please don't cry, you'll make me cry," Hollis had said, already choked up.
She'd instructed her parents to make their way to towards the lake. Her mother would take a seat and her father would be waiting to walk her down the aisle. Well, it was probably more of a path than an aisle. Still, she'd had a quick glimpse earlier and the natural splendor of Naboo was unmatched for a wedding.
There were chairs set up facing the calm waters of the lake.
In the meadow, there were tables set up for mingling after the ceremony, each one with white linens and centerpieces that she'd picked out. Nearby, there was the refreshment table, where the wedding cake was on display. Aside from marrying Justice Lesan Justice Lesan , of course, the cake was the most important.
Hollis stared at herself in the mirror. Everything looked like it was supposed to, the dress and hair-do and flowers. She drew in a deep breath and focused. Careful not to trip or step on her gown, Hollis gathered up the full hem and went down the stairs and then out the door of the winery. The sun was warm and the breeze was perfect as she started to walk to meet her father.
In just a short time, she'd be Mrs. Lesan.

Valery could still remember her own wedding vividly. It was small — even smaller than this wedding — but it was at the best location she could have wished for, and with the one man she wanted to share the rest of her live with. Even now, the emotions of that day could hit her hard, and a single glance at her wedding ring was enough to remind her. Marriage was something special to her, as it had always seemed impossibly out of reach, and yet she had found her soulmate.

Today, she was given an opportunity to bring two others together in a similar way.

On one side, Valery spotted Justice and his uncle, both dressed up and prepared for the occasion. She could tell there was some nervousness, but she believed it to be the good kind. This was ultimately going to be one of the best days of his life, but to bring it all together in front of others who were close to him was never easy. Hollis soon appeared as well, walking over to her father to be brought down the aisle, and Valery just smiled warmly.

She looked beautiful, and the reaction from those watching was certainly going to be the same as Valery's.

This was going to be a special day.

So, the kid was finally getting married. Judah could not say no when he had been asked to stand with the boy. His nephew was not particularly close with JJ, and the brother he may have asked passed away when the kid was only twelve. It made for limited options. In a way the two were connected. The errant thought was brushed aside the moment Judah gripped his cybernetic arm. They'd both lost limbs protecting those they had cared about.

It was a proud day, and the older Jedi was smiling. He leaned in to tell Just he didn't need to be nervous. It was not like he was marrying a complete stranger. In fact, they were already living together. A fact Judah had been told to keep quiet. Apparently her parents had never been thrilled about the idea, but at least the wedding would alleviate those fears.

Wait… Just and Hollis weren't getting married because they were expecting… were they?

Judah had never sensed additional life coming from the woman. He supposed then that they were not rushing into anything. It was a good thing they were happy, and he hoped they would be as happy as he had been with Katara. Judah hoped they could find a deeper happiness as well.

His eyes scanned the crowd for Cambria Zadira Cambria Zadira . She had agreed to be his plus one to the event, but Judah had been so busy getting ready he'd get to find her. At least he knew she was close. Their bond told him she was on the premises. Still, it bothered him that he knew she was there and he had not seen her yet. Judah was anxious to see his friend.

Judah smiled when he looked to Val. He also offered a wink. She looked nice, and Judah was happy she agreed to officiate the wedding. It was going to be a good day, perfect for the young couple.

How did he get an invitation to this wedding again? Briana had a connection with the groom? Perhaps? Surely not an ex or anything like that. He had met the couple individually, but only in passing and could not really say that he knew them particularly well.

Moral support for they day your ex gets married? Perhaps it was Briana that swung the invite...or maybe it was all one massively orchestrated hint regards the status of he and Cy's own relationship.

Brandyn looked to his side, and down to try and catch Cybelle's gaze. "It all looks quite nice," he whispered, "don't you think?"

He wasn't really one for dreaming about his wedding day...at least not the decorations part of it. Still, he was not beyond recognizing when something was well done, and this was well done. It was certainly not the most grandiose ceremony he had attended in his life, but there was a definable beauty in its lack of pretentiousness. It felt pure.

And it was a nice break from the work with the refugee that he and Cy had been undertaking.

Gold-speckled hazel eyes peered over the beautiful vistage as Cambria Zadira strolled the grounds of the lake winery. Naboo was indeed the Gem of the Mid Rim and what a perfect location for a celebration of two souls becoming one; the public commitment between Hollis Orenn Hollis Orenn and Justice Lesan Justice Lesan to each other before their Jedi peers. It would be a memorable experience for sure.

Love and Marriage among Light-sided Force Users was a hotly debated topic... or at least it used to be. Jedi of old were against the concept of any form of emotional attachment as they believed that strong emotions elicited from such relationships were a path to the Dark Side of the Force. Present-day Jedi seemingly believed that these emotions kept in balance were a positive thing. Well, that was the hope anyway.

From the day Cambria was knighted all those years ago, the Twi'lek had taken a vow to follow the Jedi Code in that she would give her full devotion to serving the Force. Was it right or wrong, selfish or selfless, that was a good question. Her view was the same now as it was then... though there were times as of late that she wavered for just a moment and then came to her senses. Of course, the blue-skinned Jedi Master blamed it on getting older as the sands of time drained ever faster now, and certainly not because of any one circumstance or an individual.

Entering the area where the wedding ceremony was to take place, Cambria gracefully made her way to a spot on the groom's side dressed in much more formal attire than the Guardian normally wore. Golden orbs momentarily caught Judah Lesan Judah Lesan 's blue as the man looked out over those gathered from his position as best man up front. The Twi'lek canted her head in greeting from afar with a small smile featured upon her naturally-colored berry lips.

Hopefully, it didn't appear his long-time Jedi partner was going soft or trying to impress because Cambria was certainly not... Just dutifully playing the part of the plus one designation as Judah called it much to her amusement.

She fluttered.

Rather, her heart fluttered.

There was so much happiness and whimsical hope filling the air that Cybelle felt like she might burst in the best way possible. Sponging off the emotions of others was something that she had generally accepted as an unpleasant experience. Usually, it involved trying to take their pain away. To draw it into herself like one might draw poison from a wound. This—Was different.

Cybelle didn't really know the bride or the groom, unless, two ships passing in the void of space counted but she was quietly stitching together information about them from the venue. Strangely, she knew the groom's father Judah Lesan Judah Lesan from the Hapes Gala. He had kindly saved her from an overly...Confident, would-be suitor. It was surprisingly pleasant to be a plus one. Even more pleasing was the fact that Brandyn wasn't bound by responsibility and security detail this time. He could dance, chat, or even have a little juice without feeling as if he'd shirked some sort of duty. "We should just be…Guests, more often."

Her words summed up, swiftly, how overwhelming their timetables could be. Flitting from place to place. Darting from one danger, one injustice, one ultimate evil and darkness to the next without taking time to recognize the inherent toll. They were at peace with themselves, as all Jedi should be, but by the Force she needed a nap. A long, long nap.

This was the next best thing.

Topaz eyes flickered back toward Brandyn's face, easily, as if drawn by a magnet. She had her left arm wrapped around his while her right hand toyed with some of the greenery that was winding around a pillar. Cybelle hadn't thought herself to be overly swayed by something so simple as décor but she found herself pressing a little light into the plants around her. Making petals bloom, vibrant, so they might shine a small grace for the newlyweds. "It's perfect."

Small. But, her eyes kept stinging.

Internally she groaned and mentally gave herself orders to get a grip, but it was hard. It was a happy sting. Her face turned into Brandyn's shoulder before for a moment before she let her head tilt to rest her temple against him. She did her best not to think about the future. To remain in the present. Mindful, in the present. But—How could she not wonder?

So many Jedi took these vows. Vows that would have been in direct violation of the Code… But now? It seemed to bring unity. Peace.

Cybelle could hardly argue with that.

"Do you…Ever think about it?"

The future. Weddings. All the…things that came with such attachment. Her ever-inquisitive mind was spinning itself a web of curiosities that Brandyn would no doubt sense while she took in the final preparations for the ceremony. Eventually, her heartbeat slowed and settled. Her eyes were softer still while she watched the other well-wishers. Almost, as if it were a secret, she answered the question he had never asked. Sheepish, guilty, embarrassed but innocently honest. "Sometimes…"

"I do."

What could be taking so long? It felt as though an eternity was passing. Justice saw her parents join the small group which gathered at the lake. Others were joining as well. Brandyn Sal-Soren Brandyn Sal-Soren , the brother of Briana Sal-Soren Briana Sal-Soren , arrived with his… whoever she was to him, Cybelle Elyance Cybelle Elyance . Justice still was not sure what was going on there. Brandyn was not someone he knew well.

Val was there to officiate the wedding, and Justice smiled, happy she had agreed. It was important as they both knew her well. Without knowing it, she had played a vital role in the pair even getting married. Her advice to Hollis about attachments had pushed them closer together, even if it had been a warning as well.

There was a shift in his uncle’s aura when Cambria Zadira Cambria Zadira walked in. Justice took a quick peek over to Judah, the man seemed to be smiling when he finally locked eyes with his “Jedi Partner.” Justice had never understood the relationship between them. He was pretty sure the two were madly in love with each other, but yet they seemed to have a firm line that neither of them crossed.

“Uncle J if you don’t ask her out… you’re an idiot…”

Maybe that was not the right thing to say, considering he was about to get married to the most beautiful woman he knew. Hollis was certainly his perfect match in every way, and the fact she was about to be next to him in what he imagined to be the prettiest dress he had ever seen was getting too much. She had spent a lot of time telling him how perfect the dress was, but then never let him see it.

This was pure torture.

At least it would be over soon. They would be married, and it would be time for the party. And of course since the wedding was at Judah’s vineyard, he was providing the wine.

Wedding of Hollis Orenn Hollis Orenn & Justice Lesan Justice Lesan

The Jedi padawan was running late, again. A bad habit the young Porte was trying to fix, but the more she attempted to correct the timing issue it just caused her to become tardier. A curse for sure!

Addison slowed her rather fast-paced jog barefooted across the meadow of the winery, then stopped short of the ceremonial area to slip into her hand-carried black high heels that went with the one-shouldered black jumpsuit worn for the festivities.

The long-legged brunette took a moment to take a calming breath before walking into the ceremonial area, then found an aisle spot on the bride's side a few rows back so Hollis would see her. She gave a nod to the other Jedi gathered nearby, offering a small smile. Having not spent a lot of time at the Jedi temple, Addison didn't know them personally as well as she perhaps should have. Today, maybe that would change, who knows? It was an opportunity to spread her wings so to speak... and not just her X-wings. lol

The Jedi pilot was more of a loner other than spending time with her twin brother Aiden Porte Aiden Porte who was the social one of the two, but nowadays even the close Porte siblings were separated more often than not by time and space. Adulting was a lot harder than she thought it would ever be or parents told her it would. Kahne Porte Kahne Porte and Alexandra Porte Alexandra Porte made it look simple.

"Holly" would be pleasantly surprised, hopefully, to see Addy there in support. The friends had last seen each other just before she left the Coruscant Jedi Temple to return to Naboo to help her family on their estate located in the foothills of the Gallo Mountains with a project they were doing with the Great River.

Justice and Hollis had been just discussing the possibility of getting an apartment together off-site of the temple last she'd heard... Boy, had things progressed along in that relationship fast, but the Taanabian was truly happy for the young woman who had befriended the starfighter pilot upon first arriving on Coruscant to fly with Revenant Squadron as a Jedi flight officer.

Now those were some good times both the adventures and flying...

Hollis' heart leapt.
And she felt a bit light-headed. It might have been the fact that she'd actually forgotten to eat breakfast. She'd been so swept up in wedding preparations. Of course, she might have also been holding out for her share of cake later.
Her father was there waiting by the path, his expression a bit stern despite the occasion. Though, Hollis thought she knew why. Her father had never been a very emotional person; he didn't wear his feelings on his sleeve like she did. Perhaps, his front was extra hard today to defend against the fact that he was giving away his only daughter. Giving her away to a Jedi, no less. He hadn't always approved of this idea. But Justice had managed to win over her old man and gain his approval.
"Ready?" he asked, offering his arm.
She nodded, smiling. "I'm ready," Hollis affirmed, already a bit teary.
Soon, the music would change to signal the arrival of the bride. Hollis could now see Justice Lesan Justice Lesan waiting for her and her smile grew wider. There were some guests that she didn't know very well, but she felt such a swell of affection for everyone that had come to celebrate their special day. As she came down the aisle, she spotted Addison Porte Addison Porte -- one of the first good friends she'd made in the Alliance. Hollis gave the brunette a grin and made a mental note to catch up with her during the reception. It'd been too long since she'd seen either of the Porte twins.
"Hi," she'd say quietly to Valery Noble Valery Noble , smiling to the Jedi master. Hollis offered a nod to Judah as well, very glad to see him as well.
Oddly, Hollis felt herself avoiding Justice's eyes as her father held her hand out to her soon-to-be-husband. Her father leaned in and gave Justice a pat on the back, and was probably whispering words of wisdom or well-wishes... or maybe a veiled threat to treat his daughter well or else. No, no, her imagination was getting away from her. Finally, she looked at her groom.
The tears were already there, even though the ceremony hadn't even started yet.

The wedding guests began to fill in, and Judah finally found the woman he was looking for. There were several beautiful women gathered around, and while Justice was getting married to one of them, it did not change the fact that for Judah none compared to Cambria Zadira Cambria Zadira . Her dress only reinforced that opinion in Judah’s mind. Whether that was her intent or not, it was the case. A smile pulled at his lips. The curve was genuine and not the playful smirk he was more known for. Only those closest to him had seen it, and there were still fewer who knew what it meant.

Cambria was among them, but so was Valery Noble Valery Noble . Whatever grief the two gave each other over the type of relationship they shared, she would know why Judah was smiling. They had talked in length about the emptiness the loss of Katara had left behind, and even if his relationship with Bri never became more than what it was, having her back in his life was better than having lost both his friend and his wife. Judah and Cambria were partners in the truest sense.

They shared no secrets.

“We don’t have that kind of relationship, Just,” he replied to the comment.

Maybe his nephew would understand, but maybe he would not.

// “You look stunning,” // his thoughts floated to Cambria’s mind through the bond they shared. // “Justice just told me I would be a fool if I didn’t ask you out. I am inclined to agree with him.” //

A soft chuckle could be felt behind his words. Judah had always been open with Cambria about the fact his answer would never be no if she were to ever want to explore the idea. Still, she respected the relationship he had with Katata, and the feelings which still lingered for his late wife. It only made Judah love Cambria more. It was her way of loving him in return he supposed, though the pair had never truly discussed their feelings. They simply lived with an unspoken truth and a silent understanding.

// “Thank you for coming.” //

That was when Hollis began to make her way down the aisle. All eyes would be focused on her, and rightfully so. She was beautiful, and Justice was certainly lucky.

The Rutian Twi'lek gave a respectful nod of her head toward the Sword of the Jedi, who was to officiate the joining of the two young Jedi in matrimony, then her golden gaze moved back over to where the groom and his best man were standing.

The Jedi Master did not want to intrude into Judah and his nephew's whispered musings between them, but she could tell there was much amusement rolling off the Lesan men. And it seemed to be aimed at her with a telepathic message sent a moment later from the Corellian proving she was correct.

Cambria chortled softly to herself as a rare feeling of a blush was felt, then she replied to her Jedi partner through their Force bond garnered over many years of friendship.

// "You are most welcome, and you do clean up well yourself... I will save you one dance then just to make him happy this day... " //

Just then the bride and her father made their entrance with wonderful music chosen. Hollis was beautiful in her white dress with pink lavender flowers held in her hand, which incidentally the latter colors matched those of her own attire. Oh my...

Committing to a Twi'lek mate was different, though one supposed basically with the same intent... Life-long companionship of intimacy, caring, and support. But of course, the blue-skinned Jedi Master wouldn't know as she had never considered such a personal thing, making her vow to the Force long ago.

// "Though, I doubt Justice will even pay attention now to his poor uncle's plight as his wife-to-be is on her way to him. So very pretty she is. As humans say, he is a lucky man. //

A curious warmth stole over her heart as she contemplated how time had flown by, for who would have thought only three years ago, that Justice would be the first among their group to embrace the bonds of matrimony? Then again, when considering the possible choices among herself, Iris, Lossa, and even Viz, it seemed like the most natural conclusion.

An imperceptible smile lighted near the corners of her lips as she watched Justice tugging at his collar, clearly feeling the weight of the moment. If she were standing by his side, she might have playfully chided him and swatted his hand away—something to look forward to later.

Slowly, her eyes panned over the intimate crowd that'd gathered, resting on the backside of her brother and Cybelle. The couple who'd defied all odds to be together. Were they destined to follow in Justice's footsteps? Make their own journey towards solemn vows? Or...?

The musing question dangled in her mind as she turned her attention to Aiden, azure gaze flickered up at him, lingering there for only a moment to try and gauge his reaction before lacing her fingers lovingly with his. "I can't believe he's getting married," she said, trying to keep her voice at a level only he could hear while her thumb traced delicate patterns along the side of his hand. "Makes me wonder who might be next..." The notion of marriage was not one she felt particularly pressured to pursue; such intimate bonds required deep introspection and understanding. Her own parents had spent sixteen years together before deciding to exchange their vows. Not that Briana wanted such an extensive wait—just the same unwavering certainty when it arrived.

Before she could say anything else, the music began and all eyes cut to the back, bodies shifting to stand. Hollis materialized like an enchanting vision, garbed in a celestial white gown, her elegant stride commanding the aisle. Though herself and Hollis had yet to nurture a deep bond, Justice's unrestrained adoration spoke volumes about the couples profound connection. And in witnessing their joy, Briana found her heart brimming with happiness for them both.

To be on Naboo again was a strange feeling for a multitude of reasons, but at least today, when it came to the nuptials of the first of that group from what felt like so long ago, being here was a joyous reason… for the bride and the groom, undoubtedly. Standing amongst those gathered, he could only wonder how he had ever been so certain of the way things would be, back then.

How wrong he had been.

And perhaps it was better this way. He couldn’t rightly believe that he would have been able to focus as fully as he had, in recent years, if he hadn’t been able to ultimately lay the past to rest. Vizion looked towards Justice, seeing a man that had come into his own, a long way from who he had been only three years before, but then, they all were. His gaze drifted across the gathering, recognising relatively few, but coming to an abrupt stop in finding Briana, when he hadn’t at all been looking for anyone in particular.

It only made sense that she was here, but the surprise he felt at the sight of her was no less real. She didn’t take up space in his mind like she used to do, but even so, the sight of her gave him a bit of pause that he had become practised enough at tearing his gaze away from. He moved on, his eyes landing on whoever it was beside her… [ Wait.] Viz peered at the guy… and blinked, hard, in recognition.

Was this the same one from forever ago? His eyebrows piqued and he blew out a quiet breath of surprise, but resolved to a firm smile, and moved his eyes away from the couple, his gaze drifting somewhat aimlessly as his stomach did a faintly queasy little flip. She looked happy. That was all that mattered, right?

Right.

She did look beautiful, though, and that would likely never change, in his mind... his mind that tried to drift off and send him swimming. And drowning. Maybe next time this would be even easier. He could only hope. Turning his head, Vizion's eyes landed, unfocused, on Addison Porte Addison Porte . Realising after a sliver of a moment that he was nearly staring at someone unfamiliar, he offered a sheepish smile, his brows lightly knitting together, and tipped his head in a silent greeting as the music started up, calling everyone to stand as the bride emerged, radiant as every bride should be.

He could be happy for them. He would be happy for them.

For all of them.

She'd dyed her hair on a whim while being helped to find an outfit. The white color a helping display the black butterfly keeping her hair up for the time being. Failing to mention the change of hair to anyone before she had arrived in her hurry to arrive in a timely manner. It hadn't been easy finding a dress while plotting a jump course back towards Naboo and hoping you stumbled across something familiar.

Thankfully there was.

She'd made good time to boot, and her arrival had gone unnoticed or at least unattended, prompting her to keep to the back of the assembly. Not entirely a lie by finishing some documents with her holopad before the gathering seemed to quiet down.

She'd placed the holopad into her clutch beside her chair, giving a deep sigh of patience as she wondered when the best time to use her little surprise would be.

She had no intention of ruining the ceremony. Force knew that was not just a metaphorical death sentence. And aside from that she just wasn't outright feeling like being a rude guest. She'd spent time with everyone gathered. And even if it had been fleeting, she had far to much respect for them than to even tease the idea of disrupting the moment.

Her eyes danced between those gathered. All of them filling the air with mirth as the ceremony awaited the proper time. She blinked as she watched the gathering all move and speak. Some touching in shared memories. Further drawing familiarity and joy from those times the spoke fondly of. Other simply enjoying the proximity or feeling anxiety about a brighter future.

A future this moment made them address in a way they might not have prior. The smile she wore never quite reached her eyes.

What was it like to know those emotions were truly your own? That you hadn't stolen them just by being near others? To know the depths of your own joy? Her hands wrapped around each other, nails digging into her skin as the discomfort kept the walls of her mind sturdy.

Keeping those barriers in place as she swept her gaze across the assembly. This wasn't her mirth. This wasn't her joy. But she was happy for them. Hollis and Justice both-

Her eyes settling to see the man of the hour fiddling with his collar as a corner of her smile finally reached the top of her cheek. Those private moments of worry and anticipation they were all allowed to witness was something she was perhaps glad to see. To remind her that even if she didn't trust what was and was not her own feelings, that she could at least bask in the radiance she felt around her.

And the slight trill of irritation from her cousin as Lossa spied Briana's brief moment of tense staring.

The call to rise was made, and Lossa kept silent as she turned to watch. Anticipation. Worry. Anxiety. All as familiar as an old home. Like a comfortable blanket half worn from favoritism. If she had been thinking, she might have snuck back to Hollis and perhaps helped steel her nerves.

As it was, she could only watch and give the other her best wishes.

Her Master, Briana, had invited to attend a wedding. It was between two individuals that she hadn't met but she had heard they were a great couple and she was unable to deny that the colour palette for the wedding wasn't exquisite. She had asked a thousand and one questions to Briana about the style, colours to wear and the style of dress that would be most appropriate for the wedding. Lily knew best than to dare attempt to upstage the bride. So, Lily was thrilled to find a dress perfect for the wedding and happily took a seat next to her Master and Briana's partner Aiden.

Turning her head, she saw the bride and gasped somewhat at how beautiful the bride looked, she was always surprised how elegant and beautiful a person could look when truly in love. It was amazing to see and Lily was so happy for the couple, they truly seemed very dedicated to one another, Lily was always curious how her wedding would look like one day.

"They look both amazing, Master." Lily whispered to her Master before focusing on the ceremony and keeping quiet. Hands on her lap.
