The Glitter Bomb is actually a small grenade modeled after the Stun and EMP Pearls developed by Hearbeat House. Similarly to the other pearl-sized grenades, the Glitter Bomb appears as a jeweler’s pearl though it comes in several different colors to denote the color of the glitter inside. The outer casing is made from layers of wispy thin biodegradable plastoid instead of durasteel for safety purposes. The Glitter Bomb is activated by removing a small pin, and will explode 5 seconds after the pin is removed. Instead of delivering a wave of stunning or EMP energy after activation, the Glitter Bomb releases a torrential hellstorm of craft store glitz in a ~3m radius. The thin plastoid layers that make up the outer part of the grenade aren’t sharp or heavy enough to cause any damage when airborne, and simply float to the ground or get stuck to the anything in the target radius along with a dance recital’s worth of glitter.
Because of the Glitter Bomb’s soft outer shell, it can activate when under intense pressure—squeezing tightly or throwing the Glitter Bomb with the pin still in it is enough to trigger activation, unintended or not. Despite being delicate, the Glitter Bomb is very lightweight and easy to travel with and conceal.
