  • Powerful: The platform, thanks to the weapon on it, is extremely destructive and powerful. Although it can be used mainly for planetary defence. The turrets on it are also suitable for melee and defence.
  • Defences: It is made of materials that make it extremely resistant to attacks, not to mention the fact that shields also surround the platform, and turrets also help with defence.
  • Massive: The platform is very massive, so the Jötunn can withstand the recoil and completely absorb the recoil's energies, so it doesn't cause shocks in the environment.
  • Stealth: Thanks to the Skuggalegt polymer layer, it is very difficult to detect these platforms until they start to open fire.
  • Repair: Thanks to Laminanium, the Dral Kayatr thus the platform and the cannon is able to repair itself.

  • Gigantic: The dimensions of this platform are gigantic. It may be difficult to detect with scanners and sensors, but it cannot be hidden in any way with the naked eye. They can be seen from a great distance, without binoculars.
  • Slow and Dull: Given its size, it’s not too surprising that the speed of the platform is like a snail, not to mention the fact that its manoeuvrability is also catastrophic. It can mostly go straight, or it turns with huge curved bends.
  • EMP/Ion: Even though the cannon has a high level of protection against such attacks, there is always a level of EMP / Ion attack that damages and destroys the platform.
  • Large Targets: Due to its size, the weapon cannot be used against small and fast targets (small-crafts, corvettes), they can easily get close to it and destroy it. Only Stormwarden turrets can shoot at small targets.
  • Big Boom: Basically, the weapon is made of well-protected, resistant materials, but nothing is indestructible. Damage to Ethaerium tanks or HAPU can result in a fatal explosion.
  • Repair: Although the Dral Kayatr and thus the platform and the cannon is able to regenerate thanks to Laminanium, however it can easily get too much damage that this metal can no longer repair anymore. Despite Laminanium, the metal can be damaged so that regeneration is no longer effective, not to mention the regeneration is a slow process, in battle this is useless.

After the BM-27M "Jötunn" Hybrid Cannon was made, the HPI Consortium began to think about how to make this huge cannon even more usable. Because of its size, it is not really suitable for getting close to cities or places where it can cause earthquakes. HPI engineers set out to work and think on a platform.

Their plans included building a huge platform capable of absorbing the vibrations and quakes generated by the firing of the Jötunn, so that the platform could be used in any area, even cities. The plans for the Skaði platform were born during the development. Something most resembling a Walker on a gigantic four-footer.

It is made of the same materials as the Jötunn cannon, making it more difficult to spot it for the radars and scanners until it fires. However, it is quite visible to the naked eye due to its large size. Its speed and manoeuvrability aren’t the best, but it doesn’t really serve that purpose. Rather, the platform exists to transport the cannon and find the most suitable position for firing.

After a long design, Skaði has been perfected, making it possible to use this platform in any terrain. And yes, it is best to take it to the scene with some other vehicle, but it can also do short distances if needed. In any case, the Skaði platform is the perfect complement to the Jötunn cannon in the planetary defences.
