CONTENT INFORMATION
The lightsaber is an iconic energy weapon recognized across the galaxy, revered as a tool of the Jedi, a weapon of the Sith, and a symbol of balance or conflict depending on its wielder's intent. Powered by a kyber crystal, its blade—typically one meter long—emits a vibrant hum and can cut through most materials with precision. To Jedi, it represents discipline and protection; to Sith, it is a conduit for dominance and destruction. Yet, as an artisan Jedi reflects, "The lightsaber is more than a simple hilt and blade. Its artistry lies in its creation—crafted from the rarest materials, shaped by the hands of those who channel the Force into every curve and etching. I have forged sabers of beauty, their designs as varied as the stars, each a reflection of its maker's soul."

The lightsaber's versatility is evident in its myriad forms and functions. Beyond the standard single-bladed design, variants include the double-bladed lightsaber, wielded by agile combatants like Darth Maul, with two blades extending from a single hilt for rapid, dual-ended strikes; the crossguard lightsaber, featuring smaller quillon blades for defense, as seen in ancient designs or wielded by Kylo Ren; and the lightwhip, a rare, flexible blade favored by some Nightsisters for its unpredictable, whip-like motion. Hilts vary widely, from sleek, minimalist designs to ornate constructs forged from materials like phrik, beskar, or rare woods, often engraved with symbols of a Jedi's lineage or personal philosophy. Some artisans incorporate exotic elements, such as aurodium inlays or bone from sacred creatures, to enhance aesthetic or resonance with the Force.

The construction process is deeply personal, guided by the Force. A Jedi seeks their kyber crystal—often on Ilum or Jedha—through a spiritual trial, attuning the crystal to their essence. The crystal determines the blade's color, typically blue or green for Jedi, red for Sith (often synthetically created or "bled"), though rare hues like purple, yellow, or white emerge from unique Force connections. The artisan Jedi notes, "Each saber is a partnership. The crystal sings, the hilt channels, and the wielder dances. No two are alike." Beyond aesthetics, lightsabers can be modified for specialized functions: adjustable blade lengths for precision or power, waterproof casings for aquatic environments, or dual-phase mechanisms allowing mid-combat length shifts, as used by Darth Vader.

Culturally, the lightsaber transcends its physical form. To the galaxy, it is a beacon of hope or fear, instantly identifying its wielder as a Force-sensitive. For Jedi, crafting a lightsaber is a rite of passage, symbolizing mastery and commitment to the Order. Sith view it as an extension of their will, often customizing hilts to intimidate. The artisan Jedi muses, "Jedi or Sith, light or dark, the lightsaber binds us all. Its blade may cleave, but its creation unites—artistry, purpose, and the Force in harmony." Dozens of documented variants exist, from the curved-hilt sabers of Count Dooku, optimized for dueling, to the shoto blades favored by Yoda for close-quarters combat. Each design reflects the wielder's philosophy, combat style, or cultural heritage, making the lightsaber not just a weapon, but a legacy of the Force itself.

Proto-saber: A precursor to the traditional saber but made after the force hounds saber. The power pack was an important aspect of it as it was attached with a cable... and the main weakness of it and strength. With the cable you could sever it and not have a blade but with the power pack you could pump more energy into the blade and make it stronger and hotter inproving the cutting power.

Lightsaber: The traditional weapon of the jedi, a powerful tool both when it is activated and even deactivated. IT is also able to be the most customized with materials, crystals and even its power source. To change it and make each one unique for the various users. Artisans have spent years learning how to make special ones for the various orders and when something of importance happens the blade itself can be

Linksabers: Similar to unterlocking sabers with a small exception. A fiber cord in the middle that allows the sabers to be used as a blunt weapon when deactivated or swung it arches with enough skill. The design is rarely used except by a handful of jedi and sith that I have seen but it can with skill be used for advantages in combat.

Broadsaber: An olderstyle where it is less refined. The blade is much larger and the lens makes the blade a little flatter. Better able to deflect blaster bolts in exchange for losing the omnidirectional cutting capabilities. It gives it the look of a normal swords blade for style more then anything.

Cane lightsaber: A disguised style weapon, built within the top part of the staff for the older jedi to use. We have developed several models of the cane itself so it could be used like a staff to defend.

Crossguard lightsaber: More common in the high republic among the jedi for its astetic... the twin blades that come out on the sides can be used in a duel

Curved-hilt lightsaber: Ideal for makashi style and one of the more difficult to align the saber crystals. Curved hilt sabers have become throughout the years more common to some and others use them with interlocking fiber cord.

Lightclub: Designed to be much larger as a saber for larger jedi. We have designed them with artisans to have a larger assembly chamber allowing extra crystals to alter the composition of the blade in such a way for superior cutting power and even the ability to drain energy.

Lightfoil: Less a lightsaber and more designed for non force users to be able to use. They don't have as steep a learning curve and can be used for dueling much better by nobles.

Lightsaber gauntlet: A favorite in many cases... the gauntlets can allow for variable lengths and freedom of hands which with the right set up can mean more blades or even holdout blasters if they are being used correctly. A setup thaat we designed for Nico was with built in shielding generators allowing her to attack and defend as needed.

Lightsaber pike: Longer initial reach, with a blade built for adjustment. The main benefit is the powerful swings and being able to use the momentum gathered from the swing to swipe or having the rreach to thrust.

Lightsaber shoto: Older and smaller in most cases, it was used to counter if needed and when one didn't initially use Jar'kai style with two blades. We have worked to develop the shoto into a saber as it can be shifted and used in either hand.

Lightsaber-baton: A miniaturized lightsaber variant used during the Republic Dark Age, compact and wielded in multiples, as seen with Sith Lord Saaj Calician, who used six to overwhelm opponents.

Lightsaber-blaster hybrid: A lightsaber hilt with an integrated blaster, allowing Force-users like Ezra Bridger to fire stun blasts discreetly without revealing Jedi identity, though the blaster and blade cannot be used simultaneously.

Lightwhip: An exotic lightsaber with a flexible, several-meter-long energy blade, used like a whip for ranged, unpredictable attacks but weaker defensively, wielded by figures like Githany and Lumiya.

Long-handle lightsaber: Features an extended hilt for greater leverage and reach, designed for powerful strikes and improved grip, often used by practitioners needing enhanced control in combat.

Darksaber: A unique ancient lightsaber with a flat, black blade and white halo, created by Mandalorian Jedi Tarre Vizsla, symbolizing Mandalorian leadership and won through combat.

Double-bladed lightsaber: Also called a saberstaff, it emits blades from both ends of the hilt, used by wielders like Darth Maul and Jaro Tapal, effective for rapid, dual-ended attacks.

Double-bladed spinning lightsaber: A double-bladed lightsaber used by Inquisitors, capable of spinning in a circular motion for enhanced attack range and short-term flight, wielded by the Grand Inquisitor.

Dual-phase lightsaber: A lightsaber with adjustable blade length, allowing wielders to switch between short and long blades for tactical versatility in combat.

Octo-bladed lightsaber: A rare, experimental lightsaber with eight blades, likely unwieldy and impractical, with no known wielders or widespread use documented.

First Blade: An early precursor to the lightsaber, referenced in the Qel-Droma Epics, associated with ancient Sith Lord Exar Kun, foundational to later designs. Originally crafted by a Je'daii called the Weapon Master on Tython, the First Blade's hilt was recovered by the Scorekeeper's Herald during the Cold War. Jedi High Council member Rajivari engraved the hilt with coordinates to his secret knowledge reservoir, the Fount of Rajivari, during the Force Wars. The Herald mounted the hilt with a crystal from the Tythonian Forge, creating a functional lightsaber, and Jedi Master Yuon Par studied the engravings to locate the Fount.

Flickerphase blade: A lightsaber modified to ignite and extinguish randomly, making it hard to block but difficult to wield, considered dishonorable by Jedi and costing 5,000 credits

Forcesaber: A Rakatan precursor to the lightsaber, using dark-side energy channeled through ebon crystals, wielded by Force Hounds like Xesh, with varied colors like purple and orange.

Phase-knife: A knife from Philaxia with a hilt projecting a weightless, sharp energy blade, sharper than a vibroblade but poorly balanced and difficult to wield.

Lightsaber parasol: A lightsaber disguised as a parasol, combining elegance with concealed combat functionality, likely used for covert operations or by nobility.

Great lightsaber: An oversized lightsaber for large individuals, with reinforced hilts and blades over two meters long, heavy and deadly but awkward to use.

Guard shoto: Often called a tonfa... the design makes being able to shift from offense and defensive styles of saber combat easier. You might not have the finest control of a traditional saber but you can rotate

Sabercane: A lightsaber hidden within a cane, used for disguise or by those requiring mobility aids, blending utility with concealed combat readiness.

Shoto lightsaber: A shorter lightsaber for smaller combatants like Yoda or as an off-hand weapon in Jar'Kai dual-wielding, offering agility but reduced reach.

Sickle-bladed lightsaber: A specialized lightsaber with a curved, scimitar-like blade, wielded by Sith Lord Darth Noctyss, resembling a traditional metal sickle.

Soulsaber: A dark-side weapon resembling a lightsaber, with a 45-centimeter hilt of black cylindrical rod wrapped in bronze-like metal shaped like a dragon. When activated, it emits a 1.5-meter deep violet blade with an obsidian core and blood-red flecks. A nexus of dark-side energy, its presence causes unease in non-Force-sensitives and discomfort, headaches, or nausea in Force-sensitives within ten meters. Touching it delivers a dark-side energy backlash to those untainted by the dark side. The Soulsaber corrupts its wielder with negative emotions like anger and fear, potentially turning them to the dark side, and amplifies aggression in combat. It grants the Battlemind Force ability, augments stamina at the cost of awareness of near-death states, and siphons Force energy from struck opponents or surroundings to empower the wielder.

Split saber: A double-bladed lightsaber that can separate into two single-bladed sabers, offering flexibility in combat, as seen in some variants of the double-bladed design.

Hinged double-bladed lightsaber: A double-bladed lightsaber with a central hinge, allowing it to fold for storage or trap enemy blades, used by Jedi like Pong Krell and Temple Guards.

Interlocking hilt: A lightsaber hilt designed to connect with another, enabling dual-wielding or combination into a double-bladed weapon for versatile combat configurations.

Kyber Saber: A lightsaber powered by multiple pure kyber crystals, capable of immense destruction, such as obliterating rocks or moons. Its maker destroyed it to prevent misuse, scattering the crystals across the galaxy. The blade activates only when wielded by a Force-sensitive, as demonstrated when Naare destroyed an Imperial fleet and when Becky Smoochenbacher passed it to Rowan Freemaker. Functionally similar to standard lightsabers but distinguished by its reliance on multiple kyber crystals for enhanced power.

Training lightsaber: A low-power lightsaber with a non-lethal blade that stings rather than cuts, used for Jedi training to safely practice combat techniques.

Battle saber: A robust, combat-focused lightsaber designed for durability and effectiveness in intense duels, often with reinforced components for prolonged engagements.

Lightsaber rifle: SOmething often overlooked and even then it is confused with the farkiller which used lightsaber technology to enhance its range. The riflle was dangerous and used lightsabers and kyber crystals themselves as a source of ammo often vaporizing them after two or three shots.
