STRENGTHS

• Improving upon its predecessor by making use of next-generation Aurora weaponry, the Pyrolisk fighter has increased firepower and versatility in the form that firepower can take from its Valefor Laser Cannons and Shiva Ion Cannons. Both weapons are capable of multiple firing types and can have their loadouts switched with the press of a button within the pilot's cockpit.
• An additional improvement over the previous fighter, the Pyrolisk has impressive defenses built around the Golem-type Advanced Plating and a military-grade dual layered deflector shield. The fighter is also equipped with several ordnance countermeasures and jammers for further protection from enemy missiles and torpedoes.
• Each Pyrolisk fighter is equipped with a Syldra Communications Suite, allowing it to be connected into a telepathic network for nigh undetectable and jammable transmissions or standard communications and encryption systems for compatibility with other communications technology.

WEAKNESSES

• If the Ramuh-II power core's preservation field capsule fails or the device is sabotaged, the crystal within sublimated immediately into its plasma state, reducing the power output of the device by roughly half until a new crystal capsule is installed. This applies to the fighter's main power generator and the smaller cores that separately power each weapon system.
• If the molecular furnaces within the Phoenix Ion Engines become damaged or are sabotaged, they can cause a chain reaction that will consume the engine and significantly reduce the fighter's speed and maneuverability.
• If a Syldra's internal Seoularian crystal is shattered, it cannot connect to the telepathic network until a new crystal is installed and attuned to the key and anchor crystals that system needs to be connected to. In addition, telepathic messages sent through the network cannot be received by any other system except another Syldra, potentially limiting the capabilities of this feature.

DESCRIPTION

Developed as part of Aurora Industries' Highwind Program within its Strahl Subproject, the IS-12 is designed to be the next-generation upgrade to the company's previous IX-11 Aeros fighter. With a completely revamped airframe, built around and with the new Golem-type Advanced hull plating and a military-grade dual layered deflector shield, the new Pyrolisk starfighter has increased defenses over the previous model along with the same anti-ordnance countermeasures included in most Aurora ships.

The weapon loadout of the Pyrolisk was also increased and enhanced, making use of four Valefor Laser Cannons and four Shiva Ion Cannons for continued versatility in firepower and maintaining the overall high damage output of the fighter craft. The weapon systems also include two variable missile launchers, each with a six missile magazine that can be loaded with most modern ordnance as a pilot or faction might need in this increasingly unsettled era.

Two Phoenix Ion Engines replaced the four older Tidal Ion Engines from the previous model, and due to their increased efficiency, retained the same speeds and maneuverability as the previous model without sacrificing power. The fighter is also equipped with a Madeen Shiftdrive for a Class I hyperdrive that can be utilized both as a standard hyperdrive and way to acces Otherspace as the case may be. A final upgrade over the previous fighter model was the installation of the Syldra Communications Suite, giving the pilot two highly secure avenues of communications through their standard comm system or an integrated telepathic network that can be synced with their helmet.
