As a new era of the galaxy began following the Second Great Hyperspace War, Aurora Industries and its new management under Merryn Sellek began looking towards the future. Some of the company's previous talent in their energy department, such as Doctor Hyrit Colso, had either departed the company or passed away, and new blood was being brought in to improve upon and begin a next-generation of technologies for the company. Sellek, unhappy with how the Phase III modernization program was disrupted from being completed due to the war and other unfortunate circumstances, launched the first step of her Aeon Program.
First for the Aeon Program would be upgrading and streamlining the energy systems utilized by the company, starting with the Ramuh Power Core. The new design team began looking into how it could improve upon the previous design and came up with several ideas. Using haysian smelt, they could increase the energy efficiency and output of the core while retaining the ability to upscale or downscale the device as the case needed. Secondly, they modified many of the internal components connected to the Sianteria crystal capsule at the heart of the device to create a failsafe where if the internal preservation field failed and the crystal sublimated into plasma, the device could continue working, even at a reduced level.

- Due to the power potential of just a single Sianteria crystal or its plasma, the base model of the device is quite compact while still producing enormous amounts of power for whatever the core is powering. The core has been further improved upon by using haysian smelt as a new energy conductor, streamlining the power supply to devices installed with the core.
- Utilizing a preservation field, the Sianteria crystal at the heart of the core is kept at the proper temperature and environment necessary for it to remain at its solid crystalline state.
- As an improvement over the previous model, the core can also operate utilizing Sianteria plasma if the preservation field fails. However, the device is still optimized for the energy produced by the crystal and using the plasma instead can result in the core producing less energy.
- Because of the origins of the Sianteria crystal being a combination of kyber and isotope-5 subjected to the company's patented Sianium process, the device requires only a small crystal to generate immense levels of power, giving Aurora engineers greater flexibility in size scaling.
