A faction dedicated to writing stories, fighting back the Sith, and keeping things simple, fun and respectful.​

Name: The Galactic Alliance

IC Hierarchy

The faction is based on Triumvirate leadership. The Supreme Commander (NPC) will lead the military forces through the use of advisors and military personnel collectively called ‘Sub-Commanders’ or just shortened to ‘Commander.’

The Chief of State (NPC) will lead the state government. The Galactic Alliance will not have a Senate, or any major board that needs to meet to discuss situations. The Chief of State relies on ‘Governors’ who are leaders within the faction government, and will assist other officials by discussing issues and how to best create active solutions, and if it should be needed, meet with the Chief of State with concerns.

And finally the Grand Marshall leads the New Jedi Order, a council-less, flat rank structure based on merit and ability. He manages the New Jedi Order through use of ‘Marshals’, who act as leaders and advisors, similarly to their military counterparts.

The organisational structure allows the Faction Administrators to guide the faction’s major decisions through the use of NPCs. Other IC positions are passed to members who are expected to take a hand in driving activity on the roleplay boards.
The structure is designed to be streamlined for decision making, whilst enabling normal members to be empowered to drive storylines.

Description:

The Republic crumbles as the One Sith run riot. As the Sith are taking worlds with impunity, the Senate bloviates in a chamber that wields a fraction of the power it had a decade ago. The Omega Protectorate no longer offers shelter to the worlds west of the Core. With the knowledge that once the Sith have finished removing the last of the Republic’s influence from the Galaxy, they will turn to other directions, a group of worlds bands together to form an Alliance.

A more militaristic New Jedi Order is formed on Sullust, with a Temple that floats above the surface, yet has roots deep beneath the surface.

Stretched to the limit, they offer pay for a Merchant Fleet, comprised of smugglers and privateers to strike key targets.

The military offers opportunities for soldiers and rogue Force users alike whilst the rag tag fleet of old vessels launches strikes against imperial organisations that have taken hold in the nearby regions. There is a structure to allow any member to create and run subunits to the faction in a simple manner. Already several military units, fighter squadrons have sprung up



The Pitch:

The primary aim of the faction is to provide a fun and relaxed environment, with a streamline leadership that still empowers members to drive storlines. Our forums are clean and organised, putting the information members need at their fingertips. We try to make sure than anyone interesting in roleplaying with us can get involved quickly and will go out of the way to help new members join in.

The overall feel of the faction is designed to be themed around a struggling Alliance of worlds, pooling the last of its resources to fight to the end against the dark side. This isn't a well established peacetime organisation, but a "backs to the wall" last ditch alliance to hold back the tide.
We’ve already built up a good head of steam, with several key threads reaching many pages and lots of shorter training/intro/general character dev threads.
