With all the heavy fighting, both sides were taking heavy losses. If it wasn't for the fact that the Alliance was better trained and equipped, the odds would have been stacked against them far more, but she felt confident they could push through. Even as an entirely new threat presented itself — she assumed pirate as well, but they were used to the depths of the ocean and moved around as easily as the Sedrians did.

For that reason, Valery's decision came quick, "Sedrians at the front, Alliance troops to support!" she called out and the order was followed quickly. The pace of the battle slowed but with her leading at the front, and the Sedrians making sure they wouldn't get outmaneuvered, it was only a matter of time. She hoped it could lead to the remaining pirates surrendering, but she felt an escape attempt was more likely when they finally realized they'd be overrun.

During the continued fighting, Valery also picked up on a message through her comms again. It was heavily distorted but she could tell that it was Lyrrin, and the message, while hard to understand, gave her some answers. Hoping that her end would also be relayed back to him, she tried to signal back.

"We're making a final push, it's going to be over soon! They will try to escape, so warn the fleet to be ready if you can."

Waiting behind a large group of rocks he could see blasters flying above him from a battle not too far away. The outpost itself contained the pirate captain, who was ordering his troops within the captured confines to make chaos throughout the area. For now, Silas had remained unseen, hopefully, it would keep that way for a little bit longer.

"Sir, I'm glad you made it here alright," he said with a slight bow, nodding in agreement to the task ahead "Agreed, we will be outnumbered but that won't matter if we play it strong and follow the force," he remarked back to him, his full focus on Luric alone. Smiling at his enthusiastic talk, he couldn't help but feel more pumped for the task ahead. It was the first time he had properly talked to Luric, and he already seemed like a model Jedi "May the force be with you too, sir" he said back, a hand on his shoulder too to show that he was going to stick with him.

Drawing his hand back, he turned to swim up the rock to peek over to the outpost "The pirates managed to secure a small temple early into the invasion, now they've locked in tight and created a command post from within. From what I've seen, there are only two entrances with multiple guards. If we're going to catch them off guard, we'll need to do a bit of trickery..." he said, looking back to his fellow Jedi with a smirk.

"I have a plan, but it requires me to get into some danger. While I allow myself to be captured, find a way into the temple through the top side while I keep them distracted. I can trust you to catch them off guard, and considering the inside is separate from the water, it will be easier for you to disorientate them"

"I just hope most of the guards will have their attention on me by the time I go in..."

Under the Sea

There was only one choice moving forward as the units underneath his control were beginning to get crossed off the holographic projections at a considerable rate. Even as the additional shock infantry of the Mancharunk clashed with the native Sedrians and the Galactic Alliance Military. But even they were beginning to crumble underneath the impressive leadership of the Sword of the Jedi Valery Noble Valery Noble and his forces were beginning to lose morale even within the command center within the Reef.

It would seem that the operation was a lost cause and they should withdraw immediately while they still had the chance. As the Field Commander of the Expedition, it was his responsibility to make one last charge into the enemy line.
"How much time left on those jammers?" Moett said gazing toward the communication officer. "They are offline." The officer responded as the jammer short-circuited and communications were restored with the Galactic Alliance.

"All Forces within the Reef begin the withdraw into orbit," Moett said as the teams would begin packing up the equipment into boxes and moving them into the escape pods in the very back of the reef where they were most secure. "Anyone else not afraid of death follow me!" He further added withdrawing his blaster rifle.

Swimming towards the entrance into the reef with the very last of his vanguard forces to rally his remaining troops for one last charge into the enemy line. Morale among the pirates and slavers was increased for the time being and they fought even harder against a losing battle.

"CHARGE!"

Moett would swing his blaster rifle around and begin to fire at Valery Noble Valery Noble to turn her attention towards him.

"You want to help Master Vanagor, don't you?"

By the grace of the Force, Nautolan's didn't have pupils. Their eyes were almost solid color. In Zak's case, solid black. Save for a spattering of light gray that formed swirling shapes, like oil mixing in an inky void. It made it near impossible to know just where he looking. And he usually looked off to the left when put in an awkward situation where he was tempted to lie.

If by 'help' she meant watch Master Vanagor kick some serious ass like it was a wrestling holo, then absolutely yes. Zak wanted to help.

Also, Master Vanagor totes needed to sign up for UFC. Because that would just be next level.

"Why don't we keep the pirates off his back, then? Get to their transports, disable them. I'll keep their eyes."

The boy's head just went backward, as though suspicious of what he'd just heard. "You... want me to break stuff?"

Voiding warranties with permission. Man, something about that just felt... wrong.

Oh well. At least it was a task that Zak was well prepared for. In some respects, he'd been training his whole life for this moment. Holding up a fist, the Nautolan offered the Jedi woman a fist bump as he opined cheerfully, "You go high and I'll go KA-BOOM!"

With that, Zak kicked off with a burst of Force Speed that propelled him like a bullet. With his right hand, the boy's lightsaber weaved a Makashi salute while, with the left, the boy reached up to tap the shuffle on the headphones.

Headphones On [ grand ]
Twisting in the water, the boy tucked into a corkscrew dive on a transport. His lightsaber connected with one of the repulsor engines. What could a single blade do against a transport? Not much, but it didn't take more than giving water into the electrical components and internal mechanisms to take the stabilizers off-line.

Before long, the transport was listing noticeably in the water and the Nautolan was dodging some shots from a few slavers who'd taken note that their ride was starting to go down.

Dodging a few shots sent his way, the Nautolan bailed out in a flurry of bubbles as he was propelled with the same fantastic speed.

Aquatic privilege.

Which, was anyone on that transport? He should probably look to see if anyone was on that transport. Just not when slavers were shooting at him.

Regrouping a distance away, the Nautolan took a moment to re-orient himself to what was happening. The head-tails fanned out around his head as the Nautolan allowed his senses to extend out into the water.

Was Master Arani okay?

He should probably take a moment to make sure Master Arani was okay.

"Crazy, right?"

Iris gave the briefest of a smile as she returned the fist bump. Literally a year ago and she wouldn't of known what that was, not so much now. Not that there was any time for self reflection. Right back to her swimming, so much slower than her Padawan at that. She kept her hands moving, pulling on the colors around her. Both to keep her moving where she normally wouldn't, and cover. Makeshift cover from debris. And projectiles. Aquatic combat was something she needed to work on more, for sure.

Some other time. A scattering of debris towards the hostile intent battered back the slavers currently aiming at her. And a transport went down. Her gaze shifted, searching through to find Zak.

Good, he was still moving.

And- Wait. Different colors caught her attention. She dipped to the side, weaving from another shot sent her way.

<Open that transport. Get the people inside out.>

No time to explain, just her voice in Zak's head. Seemed the slavers had a haul.

With communications restored due to the Jammers expiring, Lyrrin, was able to hear Valery as clear as day "Roger, roger." the agent said with a relieved smirk. At least she hadn't been horribly devoured by some unknown beast of the sea in the previous communications blackout. Lyrrin by this point had returned to his seat in the cockpit of the hoverboat. Using a commlink instead of a holocommunicator he sent a broad spectrum advisory "Orbital be advised; victory imminent at the Reef. I say again, victory imminent at the Reef. Watch for unauthorized craft fleeing." what ensued was a lot of cross communication chatter from starfighter pilots and corvette commanders readying themselves and organizing a picket line to try and intercept whatever runners they could. Though no net was perfect and there would be escapees, the question remained just how many would be able to escape the veritable encirclement before it closed too tightly.

Lyrrin let out a breath and relaxed, the worst seemed to be over. Any final assault was likely to be against some diehard renegades but the likelihood of them slaying the Jedi was low. And, for his sake, the chances of a subsurface anti-ship weapon being used against his tiny monitoring craft was pretty slim - he had survived! Maybe he'd ask IVI IVI if she'd give him a raise for his good work, or maybe a promotion? Director Lyrrin the Amazing.

Luric chuckled lightly at being called Sir. Even in the middle of a battle, the Atrisian Jedi Knight could find humor in such little things. However, he would not correct him or anything of that nature. Such things were trivial and unimportant in moments such as these. Nodding lightly, Luric listened intently as Silas gave him an update on the current situation.

"Hmm, so they have. Do we know know for certain there is a way to make entry from the top of the outpost proper?" he said with a furrowed brow, as he very slowly and carefully looked over to the outpost as well. "While your plan is a sound one, I do not see the need for you to put yourself in such a troublesome position. Remember, the Force is our ally, and it will help us should we simply ask it to. Do you see that stone pillar by the back entrance? If we pulled that down at just the right angle, it would block the path inside. Then, we both can make a quick and stealthy entrance from the top whilst they are preoccupied with both the chaos of the battle at hand combined with our little impromptu demolition."

Luric turned his head to look at Silas once more, and winked, that smile of his ever present. "Ready?"

Before Silas could even muster a reply, Luric closed his eyes, reaching out within the Force, calling upon it, communing with it. The connection to the Living Force was strong upon this world, stronger than many other places. Perhaps due to the Golden Sun, but when one reached out within the filaments of the Force, you could simply feel that connection even stronger. Combined with the crystal that sat at the heart of his lightsaber, Luric's connection was strong indeed. He focused now on that stone pillar, and it began to sway a bit, like a tall tree in strong winds. Soon thereafter, as if the fingers of a giant had flicked it thus, it came crashing down, slowly at first before picking up momentum. Guards stationed at that rear entry way looked up and began hollering and screaming into comm units, scattering like ants in the high sunlight as the stones began to crack, fall and slam down around them.

"Now!" his said to Silas, with a good bit of volume in his voice, the sounds of battle and commotion almost drowning it out to anyone other than himself and his padawan partner. With that, Luric dashed forward, using the Force to amplify his speed and dexterity, bolting out toward their point of entry atop the smaller spire that lay ahead...

Listening to Cora, Dreidi also noted the waving of a Lightsaber which felt odd, she had no idea that there would be someone already here and seemingly looking for help. Were they told in the debrief that this was partially a rescue mission? No, Dreidi was pretty sure that she hadn't read anywhere that this was going to be a rescue op. Cora had already starting swimming towards the guy, Dreidi kicked her legs and attempted to keep up. "Hey! This could be a trap?" Dreidi called out, there was a lot of unknowns around this and Dreidi didn't want to just leap into danger.

While Cora was making pleasantries, Dreidi focused up and looking around in case there was any dangers. Was this how Iris and Briana felt around her in the past? Was this the reason they always seemed so annoyed with her? Well, no, Iris was always hung up that Dreidi executed one man to prevent several more deaths. But it was perhaps a small insight that she was starting to realise that rushing into situations was not always ideal. However, fortune was in their favour since it didn't seem to be a trap and there wasn't anyone waiting to attack now that they approached to lone figure with a Lightsaber.

"Seems we are in the clear. We need to be shifting and scouring the area for wherever this pirate base might be." Dreidi stated as she started heading down to the corals.

That won’t send that Lizard away for long.{/I]

The monster who he just sent flying was a stroke of luck, but Caltin now had time to deal with the two submersibles attacking. Sure he damaged the both of them significantly but they were not out of the fight. Luckily both Iris Arani Iris Arani and Zak Dymo were watching his back. To be frank, Vanagor probably could have handled this himself, but it was good not to have to think about it. They were both skilled, and Zak was clearly all too eager to have some fun. He was not aggressive or anything, he was just being a kid, it was entertaining, it was Zak.

One of the subs was rotating for a shot and making absolutely no bones about what they were doing. This was stupid on their part…

… or was it?

The other was sliding into a position behind and below him. This was actually a good move on both of their parts as they both had a shot regardless of where he went. So, the big man went for the closest attacker and began to tear it apart piece by piece. The other was aggressive enough to try and shoot him off, but that brought defensive aggression on his part. What that is is when he used one sub as a shield to block the weapons fire of the other. He did want to, but the next move required lightning. He had to take the other sub down due to reports of goings on in other parts of the city. On top of that… Iris and Zak were gone too.

I wonder where that lizard is.

Raphael, for his own part, was finding it a bit difficult to be of sufficient assistance, when these veritable gods were simply slicing the kriff through the transport subs. There was very little he could do, realistically. He didn't have a laser sword, nor any explosives and, while he could use the Force, it wasn't like he could use it to pull things or... He shook his head. Wasn't going to focus on that right now.

In the midst of the scuffle he'd lost sight of the little nautolan and the human jedi. Both had vanished from his view, but what did that matter? They were jedi, surely they knew what they were doing. No, Raph, stop being a kriffer. Break the silence and at least introduce yourself. You've been nothing but a silent nerfherder this whole time, the least you could do is say something to help.

Activating his comms, for the first time, he spoke. <"Sorry for not introducing myself earlier! My name is Raphael, and I did come to help. It's entirely possible that the enemy in the area is rallying around the lizardman, somewhat. At least he seems more armed than most of them. Maybe if he can be routed then the rest will follow. At least, it's a, uh, working hypothesis. Might even just be demoralizing them a bit more will help.">

That was when he saw another one of those transport subs. There...had to be some other way that he could help, yeah? He had his repair tools with him... There was a... His eyes lit up and he smiled, pulling out a plasma cutter and then he swam to one of them as it was starting to make its exit. The under carriage, thankfully, was a bit weak and quickly, he cut a human sized hole in the bottom, and pushed it up, flooding the inside with water and giving Sedrians a chance to get out, while firing on the pirates with his blaster pistol.

"Go!" He shouted to the Sedrians, pointing to the rallying point, behind lines.

A few minutes of violence had seen the defender's numbers cut in half, and the attackers seemed satisfied to continue pushing in on them. As Brandyn grappled hand to hand with one of the pirates, his lightsaber fell from his grasp, deactivated and dropped out of Brandyn's constantly shifting point of view. A knee hit his stomach, and he felt the wind being knocked from his lungs. Mere moments from a likely killing blow, Brandyn felt a soothing calm rush over him, his hand moved towards the reinforced glass of the pirates diving suit. It was barely his finger that bushed the glass, but a resonating burst of Force energy emitted at just the right frequency to crack the helmet.

Brandyn was released immediately, as the pirate fought back at the leak in his helmet. The fight was short-lived as the crack succumbed to the pressure at these depths and imploded. The garbled scream of the man would never be heard, but the look on his face was something Brandyn could only turn away from.

As he turned, he caught a glimpse of the High Priest losing his battle with a raider who was attempting to gain access, and assumedly control, to the Golden Sun. Without a moment to grieve the horrible death of his foe, Brandyn pushed off towards the raider who was already trying to pry open the door to the dome. Brandyn kicked as hard as he could, pushing towards the raider as even as the foe pulled out a mechanism to aide in opening the door.

Spurred by the urgency of the moment, and amidst dodging a couple of errant blaster shots, the young Padawan focused in on the life-connection about the place, in particular the large surely-sentient being in the dome of glass, and he pushed through the Force at a speed unnatural.

The door to the dome had been pried open most of the way by the time Brandyn collided, full speed with the raider. The impact sent them both flying into the inside of the dome, as the door jar mechanism broke loose and the door slammed shut behind him. Brandyn hit the wall of glass from the inside now. The impact shaking him loose from conscious thought for just a moment. As his mind and vision cleared, he saw the lifeless body of the raider drifting into view between himself and the Golden Sun. Brandyn's vision initially focused in on the broken helmet of the raider, but then quickly adjust him into a blur as the Golden Sun loomed more greatly in the Jedi's mind's eye.

<Release me.>

The connection in the Force drew Brandyn closer to the gargantuan mollusk. Within moments, he found his hand reaching for the shell of the glowing creature...and his mind became enveloped in Light...

"On it!"

No hesitation. A dolphin kick blended with a burst of Force Speed, as the green-skinned aquatic shot through the water toward the transport that was starting to sink into the abyssal depths.

A featherpush radiated out from the boy, as he used the counter-force to come to a sudden stop just above the transport. Diving down, the boy's blue-bladed lightsaber set to work, slashing and cutting into the cargo door that sealed off the prisoner area. Then, after cutting through one of the hinges, the boy swam backward.

Holding out an arm, the Nautolan closed his eyes as he recalled the lesson on telekinesis. Wrapping the music through the door, the boy yanked back with the Force, ripping the door free from its housing.

Then, swimming down to the slave hold, the Nautolan set to work on the shackles holding the Sedrians inside captive.

The colors seemed to brighten.

Good. Taking that as a cue Zak had gotten the transport at least open and the slaves fleeing Iris turned her attention back to the slavers still around her. Flicked her blade up and around. Makashi was never the best for blaster defense. It was an offensive style. The duelist style. The colors bent around her as she tugged forward. Grappled onto one of the pirates, yanked herself to them, or pulled them to meet her as she suddenly charged forward.

Surprise was all they had as they were yanked forth. Her blade passed through them effortlessly just as more blaster fire erupted her direction. Shots that hit the body now being used as cover for a brief moment until she moved again. Spun around, knocking one shot into another as she slipped towards the next. A full offense, weaving through strikes to close on her targets and bring them down one by one.

"<Do you have eyes on the lizard?>" She spared a brief glance to the previously unnamed assistant. Raphael, huh? She'd try to remember that.

Karkosuchus had been lurking around within the ocean for a way to strike his opponents in the form of Iris Arani Iris Arani ; Zak Dymo and Caltin Vanagor Caltin Vanagor who were dealing with the remaining pirates and freeing sedrian slaves captured by them. He was just about to strike them once more until the message of retreat came from the Coral Reef Operational HQ underneath Field Commander Maizz Moett. Karkosuchus didn't see the point of fighting a losing battle now that the Galactic Alliance was bringing additional reinforcements which would be able to defeat him after a quite lengthy engagement.

Swimming back down into the depths where his presence would be nullified some due to the many creatures that inhibited the planet. He was currently making his way to the escape pod located behind a boulder to slip past the enemy blockade and return at a later time to battle the Galactic Alliance once again in a future endeavor. Squeezing into the small escape pod was quite difficult but he managed to use the water like butter to fit his entire body inside so as to not burn up in the atmosphere.

Clicking the small control panel with his claw as the engines roared to life under the water and blasted him upwards towards the orbit and eventual escape as the Galactic Alliance fleet had managed to miss him but did cause him to spiral out of control while blasting through hyperspace towards a local shadowport.

It looked like they were clear of the lizard, for the moment at least. This little tidbit though was not going to allow Caltin Vanagor to let his guard down, not with those who were around him and not with the danger that they were all in (him included). Iris, to her well deserved credit, was taking charge of the situation and there was no need for the big man to step (or swim as the case may be) in and intervene. He would keep within eyeshot of them all and protect when and where he could. Too many Jedi have been lost lately and he was not going to lose any… not as long as he was around to stop it from happening.

So he went from building to building. Each one that was not empty at this point was the center of his attention. The first one had some pirates in there. Those pirates were aggressive enough to think that they could force him to stand down if they held hostages. Caltin does not play that game, he never needed to. With a burst of Force assisted speed, the massive Jedi Master grabbed two of the four and threw them through a window. They did not easily fit through that opening but that was irrelevant at this point. The other two pirates were again pointing their weapons at the hostages and even fired.

Force Stasis is a wonderful skill to know.

I am going to teach that, and Tutaminis soon enough.

The two bolts sitting, crackling with energy and almost trying to scream through the water and into their targets just sat there suspended. Caltin then looked at the frightened hostages and simply nodded.

Head out the front door and take a right, there are transports ready to get you out of here.

Looking at the pirates who were now frightened as (censored) and pointing their weapons at him, Caltin just smirked.

Really? Really?

Raphael looked around at the question, while groups of sedrians escaped the transport and headed for the line that had been made. That was a good point. He hadn't seen the lizard in quite a while. Stranger still, the blaster fire had died down and it seemed as though a fair number of the pirates and slavers were retreating. While he could feel just a bit of pride in his actions and movements within helping the sedrians get away from a fate as awful as slavery, he was perplexed.

<"Negative, negative. There's no sign of the lizard. It's like he vanished. Stranger still, master jedi, have you noticed a decrease in enemy combatants? Numbers are trickling out. They might have already routed, mostly.">

His hand dropped fro his earpiece, as he watched groups swimming away and fired on those few still shooting. What did this mean? Had the alliance already broken the assault? That would've been nice.

Pain. Noise. Thousands of voices crying out, each drowning one another out to the point of it sounding as static, or a distant crashing of waves. Through the cacophonous noise, Brandyn felt his mind drift towards the Light in the midst. As he float on the wispy tendrils of light within the Force connection, Brandyn felt the tug of all the voices. It was apparent to him now that the Golden Sun was not a single entity.

<Release us.> <Let us go.> <We are dying.> <Release us.> <No food.> <Please, we beg you.>
<Dying. So hungry.> <Release us.> <Food. Please. Do you have food?> <Let us go.>
<Release us.> <Let us go.> <Release us.> <No food.> <Please, we beg you.>

<Release us.> <No food.> <Please, we beg you.>
<Dying. So hungry.> <Release us.> <Food. Please. Do you have food?>
<Let us go.>

Even through the static, Brandyn began to distinguish specific phrases. The static was beginning to coalesce just as a crowd that clapped too long began to synchronize. "I don't know how to help you."

It was as if the frequency of all the many polyps within the Golden Sun found the correct frequency, for the extreme clarity of their voice shook Brandyn's core.

<DESTROY DOME.>

With the words echoing within Brandyn's mind, he was thrust from the Force connection even as his body tumbled backwards, end over end. Even before he could think through what was happening, he had hit the glass enclosure, his leg bending at an unseemly angle. Grimacing in pain, the young Padawan focused back on the outside of the dome and the dark abyss beneath where he had dropped his lightsaber. If he was going to free the Golden Sun, he would need that blade.

His hand was coming up with nothing but mud. He knew it was there, somewhere on this ledge just beyond the recommended safe depths of his diving suit. Brandyn could feel the pressure change, it created a deep anxiety that made focusing on the Force difficult. Even then, he managed to find glimpses through the Force of his saber hilt resting in amongst the plants growing from the chasm's ledge. It was fortune that had seen it, perhaps, land on this ledge and not plummet into the foreboding inky depths.

He tried not to look down. When he did, he could swear that there was something with very big black teeth looked back at him. It was just his mind playing tricks though. Right?

Letting out a slow breath, Brandyn closed his eyes and reached out his hand. In the midst of the existential dread below and the pressing down of tons of water from above, he found a small ray of light on which to float his mind. Something tugged at that ray of light, and Brandyn breathed out again. Calming, centering himself. The tug became stronger. A nibble at the line. Eyes opened to see the metal tube he had lost entering his grip once again.

A quick smile was all the celebration he allowed, before beginning his slow gradual ascent out of the dark.

As his path took him closer to the Golden Sun, the voices of the many sentient beings that made up its core became louder and louder. They could sense what he was doing, that he was aiding them. Freeing them.

Without hesitation, Brandyn ignited his blade, thrust it through the thick plexiglass dome. His path took him around the full circumference of the dome, before reaching out with the Force, and lifting with all he had. The dome, bobbled and bounced, almost striking the Golden Sun in one moment, but ultimately the rush of water and momentum from his push was enough to see the dome tumble off and to the chasm below.

<Free us!>

Brandyn frowned, but even as he did, his eyes fell on the cable connecting the Golden Sun to the power grid of Sedri. They may have been free to feed, but they were not free to thrive with that cable draining their essence and energies.

He probably should have thought it through more. But in the midst of an altruistic mind fade, Brandyn found his blade also cutting through the cable.

The cable briefly electrified the water, before the safety mechanisms shut it down. It was not fast enough though to prevent the young Padawan from receiving a jolt, and then quickly fade from consciousness.

As Brandyn's eyes went dark, so did every light, every screen, every appliance on Sedri. Power had been lost, completely.
