SPECIAL FEATURES

• Bifurcating Cyclical-ignition Pulse: This modification, while having become more common in recent times, allows both crystals to work in harmony with one another to create a blade than can be utilized underwater.
• Adgean Focusing Lens: While more commonly used as focusing crystals, when used as a focusing lens inside of a lightsbaer hilt, the Adgean Lens gives the lightsaber a more powerful blade than other types of lens materials.
• Locking Activator Switch: This style of activation switch actually "locks" the blade into the activated position even when not being wielded. This allows Luric to use the lightsaber as a thrown weapon as well.
• Extended Hilt: This longer than standard style of hilt design allows for Luric to more easily handle the weapon with both hands, lending to his Atrisian style of swordsmanship.
• Fencing Blade Emitter: This style of emitter lends itself more toward dueling and melee combat, however, it makes the blade less than formidable at deflecting blaster bolts.

STRENGTHS

• From Crystal:
  • Dantari Crystal: In the same vein as standard Dantari crystals, Autumn's Light has the ability to recycle the 'wild & fierce energy of combat' back to it's owner in order to fuel their ability within the Force. This also allows them to better concentrate on recovering from using the Force as well.
  • Bonded: Similar to other crystals, Autumn's Light can only be bonded to a single owner at a time, and only its owner can benefit from the special properties the crystal has. It rejects Dark Siders unless bled, and to allies, it's very difficult to control.
  • Force Imbued: After locating this rather unique crystal, Luric took to meditation upon it, imbuing it with the Force in order to further it's ability by making it more stable. As a result, it's abilities are much more precises than stand Dantari crystals.
  • Autumn's Light: This is a truly unique and special crystal, a one-and-only variation of a Dantari Crystal. It's purpose is to help assist it's owner in recovering spent Force energy, and to help fuel that connection even further where possible. It relies on the owners inner core, the very nature of their being in order to achieve this. A Jedi Knight true of heart who is fiercely loyal will find their connection to the Force greatly improved, while someone who is cruel and callow will find themselves struggling to maintain control. When in the possession of a Jedi of unwavering loyalty, it will grant a significant increase to precognitive skills in combat & the ability to call upon the Force noticeably.

• From Weapon Design:
  • Resilient Materials: This lightsaber has been meticulously crafted over a great amount of time, using highly resistant materials that give it unparalleled resilient qualities. This, however, does not prevent it from being broken by a sufficiently great amount of force.
  • Bifurcating Cyclical-ignition Pulse: As stated, this has become a much more common modification, and allows the blade to function underwater.

WEAKNESSES

• From Weapon Design:
  • Locking Activator Switch: This style of switch, while a boon, also has the downside of needing to remain extremely focused when in close-quarters combat, as the blade remains on until switched off. This can lead to serious injury and loss of limb by the wielder.
  • Fencing Blade Emitter: Whilst a helpful and extremely useful modification for dueling other lightsaber-weilding opponents, this makes the lightsaber much less apt at deflecting blaster bolts, and makes it nigh impossible against slugthrowers.

• From Crystal:
  • Force-nullification: Whilst this crystal can still function within a weapon inside a Force-nullification field, it's Force-imbued ability cannot. Things such as Void Stones, Ysalamiri fields, and such things would cause it to lose stability, which in turn would make the owner have to expend more energy, effectively canceling it out.
  • Fragile: While special in it's properties, a crystal is just that; a crystal. Outside of it's home within the hilt, it can be broken or shattered by simple means.
  • Autumn's Light: The very nature of this crystal makes it so that only one whose intentions are true, their heart pure, and their loyalty unwavering can make effective use of it. Those who are wavering in their loyalties, who adhere to more chaotic values, or those whom find themselves lacking in character befitting a Jedi would end up with a weapon that would barely function, if at all.
  • Calm of Heart: While a Jedi would not consider this a weakness, the crystal is specially attuned to the Lightside of the Force. This makes the blade nigh unusable to those of the Dark paths of the Sith or Dark Jedi. As a result, should the owner ever find themselves using the weapon while experiencing extreme anger or rage, the crystal would lose stability, and the weapon would likely cease to function.

DESCRIPTION

As all Jedi do, Luric used various training sabers and swords as a youth, having been instructed in various lightsaber forms by both his Jedi Teacher & Master, Teyla Sal-Soren , as well as other swordsman and expert duelists upon both Atrisia and Arkana. However, he'd always used something handed to him by someone else. Even when nearing the time when he would become a Knight, he still wielded a lightsaber given to him by his Aunt Teyla, unsure it's origins. However, all that changed only a little over a year after he earned the title % rank of Jedi Knight.

It is known that Luric had traveled to the system of Dantooine, searching for ancient sights imbued by Force echos and traces of the Masters of Old. It was where he located the unique crystal known he would name "Autumn's Light". After he had meditated for three days and three nights upon this crystal, imbuing it with Force energies, he would rest for only a short time. For here, upon this world, he would begin to assembled the components he had both acquired in his travels, forged by his own hand, and would craft here now with his own two hands.

With care and focus, he began to assemble his lightsaber. Fitting the diatium power cell, assembling the crystal housings with both the pale yellow Kyber crystal he had as well as Autumn's Light, affixing the pommel end & both guard and shroud, he worked slowly, carefully. As the final pieces of songsteel and beskar clicked into place, he took his newly built lightsaber, and wrapped the hilt in fibercord. In the style of ancient Atrisian blades, he had created this lightsaber, a truly unique and personal labor of love. And as he activated it for the first time, the blade came to life with that familiar ~snap-hiss~...

Holding the lightsaber with both hands, he looked upon the brightly glowing orange blade, it's white-yellow core humming away. With a smile, he had finally achieved something all on his own. And so now, it hangs close to him upon his left hip, ready to defend not only himself and his fellow Jedi, but all life across the galaxy.
