Private Fair Game(Blackguard-AoC)

Myrium sat silently in the pilot's chair of the small vessel, drifting silently through the empty void of space. He was dressed in his usual attire, a simple set of black shirt and pants. Unlike before however, there was a slight alteration, a small emblem blazoned over his heart, a symbol that decorated the interior of the vessel he and the others with him on the mission were on. Myrium still got a faint feeling of excitement and thrill when he saw the symbol, one he had long dreamed about finally in use. Today would mark it, and the organization it represented, first proper foray into the galaxy at large.

A rather well off noble from the Core Worlds had unearthed an ancient temple of some kind on the planet Ilum. Not all that surprising in the long run, given the history of the world, but what made it a special discovery was the fact that no one had even known it existed at some point. It was not some ancient Jedi or Sith ruin, but of an origin far older than either. The noble had proudly proclaimed far and wide that the idea for the archeological expedition had come to him in a dream. Whatever the truth of the matter was that they had indeed found something. Ancient lore and knowledge unknown to the rest of the galaxy. The noble likely intended to display it as some sort of prize, or sell it to the highest bidder. Myrium would not allow that.

The Blackguard would not allow that.

Leaning over in the chair, Myrium tapped a few commands into the console before him, sending a brief message through the rest of the ship. "I just started to get reading of something heading our way at speeds that would give you a headache. I estimate we have about ten minutes before the convoy arrives people, let's get ready to check out some books." As Myrium cut off the shipwide transmission, he could not help the smile that spread across his face at the poor humor. He was still a teenager, for the most part, he had a little bit of leeway when it came to entertaining himself and others.

Weeks ago 110 would have been at an utter loss at how hyperspace worked without steam, now he was planning to heist some book's the order required. 110 Paced back and forth on the bridge of the Extablisher, his helmet's comm was buzzing with feeds of information. The ship's alert changed to black and a wailing alarm sounded, the crew began to run around prepping to board the special transports 110 had dredged up. 110 had spent many dozens of credits and personally saw to the reconstruction of four Droch-class boarding ships. In a short time, he had them ready and twenty-three salvaged commando droids rebuild in the process.

Many others of The Blackguard had been included in the plan, Myrium Okar wasn't too far away, in fact, he'd had beaten 110 here a small defeat in 110's mind but trivial in the grand scheme of thing to come. 110 looked over to the comms officer who offered a crisp salute "Send a message to Myrium, inform him we have completed our preparations and await the signal." A quick nod dismissed the officer and 110 handed off command of the bridge making his way down to the transports " Matters such as this is best handled in person."

The hanger was buzzing with excitement as 110 walked in his black boots sounded louder and louder as the men and women around came to a halt with crisp salutes for their commander and smiles for what they all were about to bring in for the order. The faceless figure of 110 gleamed with pride as he picked his weapons up, two blaster pistols, one vibrosword, and one of his most prized weapons a lightning rifle from his homeworld 110 just couldn't go a mission without the smell of charred flesh.

She'd been on Ilum for a few days now, overwatching several teams as they extracted crystals from the icy mines beneath the snowy surfaces. Scherezade absolutely hated the cold and the snow. Her body, wrapped in a purple fur coat that she had skinned alive from a sabercat, helped keep her warm, but not even it could defrost the frozen feeling she could feel prickling just beneath her skin. Scherezade was a child of a planet of eternal comfortable weather, summery or temperate in the correct ways. Weather extremes were always described as bleh by her.

And here she was now. Word had come from the Scintilla, irectly from Discordia, who'd let her know that a new group had risen among the Agents of Chaos. They called themselves the Blackguard, and they were seekers and hoarders of knowledge. Scherezade's interest had been spiked, but she still wasn't entirely certain why they were coming to Ilum of all places. Anything there, as far as she knew, was ancient history not even worth remembering, save the crystals that were to be used for weapons. After all, that was why she'd been sent; to make sure no magically Force sensitive Wompas would suddenly decide that their miners were shiskbabab material.

Still, the Sithling hopped into her ship, where she trusted the command controls much more than she did in the makeshift bunker they'd built near one of the caves, her fingers gingerly moving over some of the buttons.

"Scherezade speaking," she shrugged idly as she spoke into the comm, "You guys are clear for landing. No monsters in sight, unless you've brought any with you. Not sure what you expect to find here, but the place is deserted enough for it to be sorta safe right now."
