Everyone Loves a Party (CIS/Ask to join)

The Eternal Queen
Much had happened, but Feena was determined to put it all behind her and start anew. First thing she was going to do was let her husband know her little secret.
Next thing, was make this the best party the CIS had ever attended. There had been much planning that went into this little event. She'd spent days just deciding on the menu, weeks on the decorations and almost as long just deciding what she would wear. Music, thankfully had been an easy thing. She simply hired a band that once played for her on Coruscant. They were small, (consisting of 2 human males, a female Rodian and a droid) but they were versatile, able to play a good range of styles. Enough to keep her guests happy, at least.

Feena walked through the ballroom once more, observing her handiwork. Sure, she hadn't exactly put up the decoration herself, but she did decide what would go where. After all, who else in the household had her level of taste?
She had hired many to help her get Dis is order for the occasion and they all scurried about here and there to please their current employer.

"Where is the chandelier?" Feena impatiently snapped, stopping in the middle of the dance floor, "I ordered it just for this occasion! Have it put up before the guests arrive!"

Checking the chronometer up on the wall, Feena bit lightly at her lip.

"I need to go get ready now. Please have this ready within the next hour."
She turned on her heel, paused and added; "And don't forget my chandelier!" before hurrying up the staircase.

Once inside the bedroom, Feena let the door slide shut behind her before she let out the breath she was holding. What a lot of stress for her, but when @[member="Keter"] suggested she throw a gala, well, how could she not? The opportunity to show off entertain was simply too much to pass up!

She crossed the room to the bed and looked down at the gown she had laid out. Ivory, A line, with pretty little seed pearls along the edges of the sleeves. She had picked out no jewelry as of yet, wondering if perhaps jewels would be too much. As she moved the dress, she knocked the tiny sock that she had been, well, attempting to knit earlier, onto the carpet. She hadn't noticed right away, not even when she was tied herself into her dress as was sitting down to fix up her hair. She was running late already and knew that she was unlikely to be done by the time her guests started arriving.

Down below, Feena's precious Chandelier had finally been put up. With the decorating finished just in the nick of time, the hired help then moved to lay out a fine assortment of food a drink. [SIZE=small]At last, the castle was dressed up for this special event and ready to receive guests. [/SIZE]
The Mistress of Dis had thought of everything, absolutely determined to host a night that would not soon be forgotten.

With a smile, Circe had taken the invitation of @[member="Feena Mason"] and got on her best dress, a spectacular dark emerald green that perfectly complemented her eyes and her luscious tan skin. She had dyed her hair red for the occasion, it working well with the dress, and she had worn some subtly green lipstick that looked surprisingly good on her. And it was with that that she stepped forward, smiling and ready to socialize.

And so she went to the cocktail table, ready and eager to grab a drink.

Vorhi hadn't been at a proper formal event for a while. After the distraction of his old university, he wondered if he had lost his taste for all this stuff. Honestly, he wasn't always the best at these social functions. Four years of running around with dirt on his heels and empty pockets, things had gotten better while working with the Templars. He grinned, adjusting the blindfold and silks uniform. It was neatly embroidered, if a little old, but it was a nice style. He smiled, wiating at the door as he addressed a servant. "Oh, I'm sorry, I'm a bit early. " He smirked as he looked around the room and was let in. Quite a place. He'd probably write a treatise on the architecture sometime. Still he smirked as he walked in, bringing in a few dishes. No party he wouldn't help cater. "Traditional Miralukan Wine, and the niftiest of all my resipes, Atrisian Orange Sauce over Roasted Veermok."

The Thrysian wasn't ever a party person, yet, for some reason he was here, in a tux for the forces's sake. It was so odd for him, but he stood back silently, watching the others roam around and such, there wasn't anything for him to do currently, so he would sit around and wait until he was needed, but hey, at least he showed up.

Well, if there was one person that Feena could learn knitting from, it was the Guildmaster.
Entering the ballroom with clanking of his heavy black armor, his dark cloak trailing behind him, he moved, with heavy step and majestic posture of two-meter armored being, his heavy vibro-mace hanging off of his belt, as much ceremonial as martial device.
He nodded here and there, greeting people who would recognize him, from the numerous conquests he has taken part of with the Confederacy he would have developed a name for himself among them, that and his career of managing the Bounty Hunters' Guild, responsible for capturing many dangerous criminals, including the Dreadpirate lord RC 212.

The heavy armored commander would be a sight easy to notice, with a very spikey helmet, and that distinguishable scent of deathsticks and Force Breaker gas hanging around him, trailing behind him much like his cloak did.

The Guildmaster took one of the glasses offered by the waiters, at least appearing like he was socializing, he commented, half to himself, half to those who would be around to listen as he scanned the large ballroom filled with people by now
"I wonder where they keep pazaak and hookers at."

Aluk Magar

The Dark Eldorai Renegade
@[member="The Dark Templar"] @Veret Jun @Vorhi Alestrani @Pandeima @Feena Mason
Aspirant Magar was there as well, watching the crowds, sipping from a glass of wine he held from time to time.
He wore his ceremonial armor, black and grey, with Templar insignias added when he joined the order, his pale scarred Eldorai skin was adorn with his crown of dense black hair from which his sharp pointed ears protruded.
Sip after sip contents of the glass of wine he held in his right hand began to disappear, in his left hand he held the distinguishable Eldorai helmet he usually wore, his sarix and vibrosword were sheathed on his belt among with his pistol, holstered as part of his armor.

He scanned the crowd, silent and bored as he often was, there was not much to notice or do for him right now, the room was pretty and decorated, sure, but he was much more interested in the people rather than structure.
So far he noticed random strangers he barely recognized and the tall armored Guildmaster with a scent that made Aluk pucker up uncomfortably and his nose clench. The armored being than asked for hookers and black ja- pazaak, most likely looking to find release for the most primal of his urges.

Aluk scoffed to himself, shaking head, even a notion of such doing was disgusting and way below the supreme Eldorai. Icky lower species, not worthy of Eldorai words. Images of Guildmaster involving hookers were not much better either, Aluk made a scornful expression, looking aside, hoping to void his mind and thoughts of the topic.

Keter stood on a balcony overlooking the ballroom, staring down almost imperiously. This was Feena's event. She would have the grand entrance, she would have the welcoming speech. The blond smiled slightly. His Queen was truly throwing her all into this event. He hoped she wasn't trying to overdo it though, living up to some expectation of herself. Barnabus was with him, leaning against the doorway. He was frowning as he tapped a small data-slate, staying up to date on all the people present. Him and Slevin were charged with security, and a few droids of Keter's had been reactivated for the night.

"Too many people...I don't like this," the ex-Sith Commando said, looking up at his friend. Keter sighed and nodded, but he did not turn around, frowning somewhat as he noticed a heavily armored man. "As per Feena's orders, the guests have been permitted in with their chosen gear. Even if it is...questionable."

"Indeed," replied Keter, straightening up. "I shall fetch my wife then, make sure she isn't frozen by indecision in front of the mirror. I trust Slevin is alright?"

"He's being his usual jovial self, and he's ready to bring Felicity along for your grand entrance."

"Feena's grand entrance you mean," the blond countered with a smile as he stepped past and headed for the tower.

The Eternal Queen
Feena sat at her dressing table still, dozens of hair pins between her lips as she piled curls up on top of her head, quite unable to decide what hair style would look best. Her guests were here already, or at least some of them. She could afford to wait a while though, at least until more arrived. She was the hostess and she had worked too hard to make the event perfect, to not also make sure she was perfect as well.

Felicity was also going to need a little work, she was sure. Feena had picked out a pretty dress for the event, pink and glittery. Felicity would look every bit the little princess, once Feena got around to fixing her hair. Of course, for that Feena would have to finish her own hair and makeup first.

Feena moved her hair this way and that, careful not to tangle her curls, but nothing she tried seemed good enough. Casting another look at the time, she bit down on her lip and made a quick decision. She would just have to go with what looked best so far. Pin after pin went into her hair, until she had a few dozen stuck strategically in various placed in the back of her head.

Good enough. Make up was next, easily her least favorite part of getting ready. As she picked up the foundation brush, she caught sight of something in the mirror. A very small, vaguely sock shaped mass of something. Makeup brush still in hand, she stood up and rushed across the room to pick it up to hide elsewhere. Maybe she could hide it under her makeup tin? Or in her desk? At least until she had time to finish it.

Fancy parties were not usually Kara’s thing. Really anything with the word fancy attached to it was best avoided since it usually implied brown nosing investors who thought their credits meant they knew more about exploration than her father did. Those events usually involved a lot of polite nodding and not nearly enough alcohol, since she needed to retain enough control over her senses to not do anything violent. For some reason investors did not like it when their daughters’ thousand credit nose jobs were ruined by hotheaded spacers.

The only reason that she’d been talked into coming to this particular shindig was the presence of other Templars. Her experience so far has suggested that they were all decent enough people to be around. That she had been recently promoted to knight meant that she was less likely to be treated like some green around the gills rookie, and more like a social equal. That was the theory anyway, should it not pan out she could always avoid these sort of affairs in the future.

Kara couldn’t help but feel slightly out of place as her dress wasn’t as fancy as some of the gowns worn by the other women. The knee length dress was the nicest one she owned, but the silky feeling red fabric wasn’t actually silk, and the embroidery was very simple and without any beading. There might have been one or two more appropriate ones at dad’s house on Corellia, but she hadn’t found the time yet to go there since she’d joined the Templars. Also there was the chance that dad would have been there. They hadn’t really made up yet since their disagreement over her change in careers.

Other than the dress things hadn’t been too painful. Mostly she’d hung out near the dessert table, knowing that Josiah would wander by eventually to pilfer as many puffcakes as he could stuff into his pockets. It would be nice to see a familiar face, and her former instructor was sure to at least strike up a conversation out of pity. Also the amazing, and if the older Templar didn’t hurry up there might not be any puffcakes to snag.

Frankly, Desmond has been surprised to receive an invitation. Sure, he'd put in some good work with the CIS, but at the end of the day he was a foreign military contractor, not a citizen or 'real' soldier.

Still, he was hardly one to pass up on a chance for a little bit of class.

He'd kept it simple, a formal suit in a deep navy blue with a light gray shirt underneath and a slightly loose black tie. His dark blonde hair was a little neater than normal, combed back to follow the shape of his skull, stopping just at the top of his neck. He'd even gotten an old pair of black dress shoes out for the occasion. There was a slight bump in the side of his coat, however, the tell-tale sign of a hold-out blaster. Some habits just didn't ever switch off.

He was all smiles and grins as he walked in, nodding to the few folks he recognized in passing from the recent campaigns, even ticking off the odd informal salute accompanied by a laugh. In truth, at the moment he was less focused on the crowd than on the place. Desmond knew wealth and what it looked like, and this place had it. After a few moments he stopped admiring the architecture and decorations, finally getting himself some wine and looking around for any more familiar faces.

Keter strode up the stairs to the tower, shifting his shoulder's beneath the shirt he wore. It was black, and he had donned a black waistcoat over the top of it. He ran a hand through his hair as he approached the door to the room he shared with his wife. Taking a moment to collect his thoughts, he politely knocked. "Your audience awaits, Queen," Keter said with a slight smile. He never tired of calling her that. A relic of the times they had spent together, before all this. Fond memories.

@[member="Kara Avoyos"]

The dessert table was attended to by a protocol droid, like many of the food tables clustered at the end of the hallway. The chandelier Feena had installed hung above the center, casting a warm glow on everyone. A fresh platter of sweetened pastries was delivered by a much more sleek machine, it's exterior the dull grey of a war engine, polished to a faint shine. The red eyes were unfocused as K-36215 went about his task. He was the Head Chef of Dis, an amusing position but one that made a pleasant change from sewing up Keter after his past misadventures, or hacking various ship's computers.

As a droid, he was not a threat to many of the party goers. Or so they were meant to think. He had been rebuilt and programmed very specifically by Keter. He was acting as security alongside the more conventional war droids scattered throughout the fortress, as well as Barnabus, who was even now stalking amongst the guests with a neutral expression.

The woman hanging around the table...nearly loitering. K-36215 could see she was catching Barnabus' attention, and he moved to resolve the issue. "May I be of service, madame?" the machine said, tilting it's head to one side as if puzzled.

The Eternal Queen
The voice of her husband made her jump and she hurried back to her dressing table, hiding the little bundle of yarn in her jewelry box.

"I'll be down soon!" she promised, brushing a makeup sponge across the bridge of her nose, "Just touching up my make up a little!"

She was running stupidly late now. Why did she have to be so indecisive? And she still hadn't decided on jewelry.

"Come in, @[member="Keter"]. Where is Felicity?" she asked smoothing the foundation into her skin, "She needs to come down with us. I need to do something with her hair too..."

Moving on to her eyes, she gently dabbed color onto them then started to outline them with a blueish black liquid liner.

"And how many people arrived already? I want to know what I should expect when I come down."

He entered, making sure to close the door behind him. The blond glanced at his wife, still fussing over her appearance. He grinned slightly as he approached and rested his hands on her shoulders. "Relax, Queen. Your audience of a dozen awaits," he answered, leaning down to kiss her neck before stepping away to give her room to stand. "Felicity shall be along shortly. Slevin is bringing her."

As if on cue, there was a knock on the door. Keter nodded at Feena before calling out, "Come in!"

Slevin entered with Felicity, the small girl beaming as she rushed in to hug her mother.

Moving over to the dessert table Veret, who already had a good sized chunk of meat on his plate, along with some other things found himself beside the other Templar, @[member="Kara Avoyos"]. She seemed more comfortable with the situation than he was, though not much more.

He was accustomed to wearing two things, armor and pelts, neither of which would've been acceptable here, at least not in his way. Some women wore fur and such, he was talking about a hood made from the head of a wolf and so on. It was times like these he missed Thysurus.

He took note of the head chef being @[member="Keter"]'s droid. It didn't bother him really, but it did seem out of the ordinary. But as previously stated, he didn't really care, so long as the food wasn't poisoned he wanted it. "Any puffcakes left? Or am I to late?" He asked openly, half jokingly, half serious. He smiled a bit, but he really did want some puffcakes the things were spectacular.

Only a dozen so far? Well, then she could afford to wait a bit longer. She didn't look away from her reflection for an instant. She was very busy sliding a gold tube of lipstick across her lips. She puckered, rubbed her lips together and quickly rubbed it all off with a tissue. pink was too sweet. It wasn't her. She picked up another tube and started applying that instead, just as her daughter burst in.
Feena have her a quick hug, but then put a hand on her shoulder to hold her back as she checked her reflection one last time. Red looked alright on her lips. She would stick with this.

"Felicity, sit here," Feena instructed, standing up. "I am going to pin up your hair."

The girl obeyed as best as a child could, fidgeting a little in her mothers chair. Feena grabbed the brush and several pins and started braiding and pinning strands of sand colored hair. Before long, the girl was princess perfect.

"There. See how pretty you look?"

"Like mommy?"

Feena laughed, glanced at @[member="Keter"], but didn't say anything. She was already looking through her jewelry box. She was almost ready, and so was Felicity. Just one more thing.
She moved around behind the girl and clipped a pretty pendant around her neck before she could say anything about it. Feena had bought it for her a while ago, and this seemed the perfect occasion to give it to her.

"Like Mommy," Feena finally answered, holding up a matching jewel dangling from a long silver chain, "Just like mommy."

Smiling, Feena clipped the matching necklace around her own neck and held out a hand to help the girl off the chair.

"Now we are ready."

Vorhi grinned and looked around the room. He'd have to remember to congratulate Kara later on also being knighted--it was good to see the new blood around here, especially for his lazy old bones. He smirked as he walked over to the big fellow in the armor and laughed as he mentioned Pazaak. "I'm more a Rodian Gurla-tossing guy for my table games, I'm afraid," he said with a chuckle. "Name's Vorhi. I break rocks with my forehead for the templars. Who might you be?" he said with his usual relaxed smile. It was a party after all. Why not loosen up an breathe.

(OOC: I just made up Rodian Hurla-tossing, but in my mind, it's somwhere betwee darts, knife-throwing, and some sort of drinking game)

Guildmaster looked at Vorhi as the man introduced himself, giving out a rumbling chuckle
"I am called the Guildmaster, I manage the Bounty Hunters' Guild, sometimes lead the Confederate squads in assaults."
He also patted his large black warmace, hanging off of his belt
"I prefer to break skulls rather than rocks."
Vorhi could smell the sweet sickening scent of Force breakers and deathsticks around the armored being

K-36215 turned it's head at the man, it's eyes sparkling. "Of course sir. Another batch is on it's way. Mistress Feena figured they would be the most popular of the treats on offer," it reported, stepping back to give the man room to pilfer the table. Organics and their love of food...it was most curious.

@[member="Feena Mason"]

Keter looked from his daughter to his wife and sighed, though a small smile played upon his lips. He would let Feena get away with dressing up Felicity like some kind of doll. This was an official function, and the sooner his daughter learned to put up with the stiff necessities of such an event, the better. He knelt down to kiss his daughter on her cheeks before standing up and turning to Feena. "So...shall I escort you down or follow in your wake, Queen?" he asked with a grin. "I know how you hate sharing the spotlight..."

The Eternal Queen
Feenas smile was gone now.
"Well, I don't mind sharing this time." Feena replied, "This time, it's not all about me. Come. you can escort the both of us."

Feena placed her hand on his arm on his right, and little Felicity reached up to take his left hand. She didn't get the chance to be alone with him before the gala. That was a shame, but she supposed it was probably for the best. She would let him just enjoy his night, but after. she would have to set aside time to talk to him.

The blond bowed his head and offered his arms, which the two females took. He smiled warmly at his family as they left the room, heading down the stairs. "You both look dazzling," he said softly, almost leaning over to kiss Feena but stopping himself just in time. It would mess up her makeup, and she would be somewhat annoyed after all the effort she undoubtedly put into looking the part for her grand entrance. There would be time enough later.
