  • Multi-Layered Damage Resistance: The skinsuit does not rely on a single defensive mechanism. Rather, it stacks multiple systems that interact synergistically. WEAKNESSES
  • Slow Self-Repair Cycle: Programmable matter repairs are gradual. Severe damage incurred in rapid succession cannot be immediately undone and may accumulate during prolonged engagements. It goes without saying that the programmable matter will not be able to effect repairs during most live confrontations.
  • Shield Projector Criticality: The skinsuit is a high-tech defensive system that depends in part on its electronics for its defensive prowess. Thus, should its electronics be overloaded, disabled, or impaired, its ability to protect the wearer will suffer in turn. In such a case, the Echani shield array might suffer malfunction. Since this system is a linchpin to the skinsuit’s resistance against disruptors (the protective material by itself is unable to adequately defend against this weapon type as solid materials can not be proofed against disruptors), these weapons will likely pose an especially mortal threat to the wearer in the event of system failure.
  • Unprotected Head: The suit by itself provides no protection to the head. This leaves the brain, eyes, and central nervous system exposed to virtually all forms of attack. Even with the suit’s immense body protection, a single well-placed strike to the head can be decisive. Additionally, many of the suit’s defensive advantages (such as kinetic dampening) do not extend to preventing brain trauma from indirect forces, making concussive effects and precision targeting especially dangerous.
  • Radiation Vulnerability: Despite its advanced systems, the suit offers little resistance to ionizing and weaponized radiation. Worse, some of its materials may retain or trap radioactive particles once exposed. In nuclear, cosmic, or radiological environments, the wearer may be at significant risk without additional shielding. This creates a serious survivability gap in certain extreme or strategic scenarios.
  • Circumvented: The suit’s terentatek hide construction and integration provides excellent protection against direct applications of the Force, including (but not strictly limited to) mechu-deru and direct telekinetic influences. However, indirect applications of the Force (i.e. using the Force to generate bursts of pressurized air, throw rocks, generate elemental effects, etc.) may still be effective, depending on the specific resistance that the suit has to the attack in question.
DESCRIPTION
Esmeralda’s Skinsuit is a form-fitting suit designed to be worn under armor or an outfit as a base layer. It is a fully integrated survival, stealth, and combat enhancement system, designed to render its wearer as little more than a ghost. In this, its stealth systems render her undetectable in virtually every method of detection, while the defensive systems give her supreme resilience against most forms of attack.

Covering the wearer from the neck down, the suit is constructed from an estrian-terentatek hide composite armorweave, which provides high resistance to energy, kinetics, and ionic effects, while the terentatek fibers grant significant resistance to direct Force applications. Shell spider silk reinforces the joints, ensuring flexibility without compromising durability. Beneath this lies the Anti-Shank Cloth underlayer, which is a dilatant fluid-impregnated material that flash-hardens against high-velocity impacts, stopping bullets and blades while cushioning falls.

The suit’s defensive core is a triple-phase Echani shield projector array, which is conformal to the body rather than manifesting as a bubble. Its solar ray layer resists electrical, ionic, and plasma effects; its particle layer stops kinetic projectiles; and its thermal layer guards against fire and directed heat. A hybrid AEGIS Nanoarray-energy sink system disperses and absorbs excess energy, protecting against electricity and stun weapons while complementing the shields. Liquid-aenite coats all sensitive electronics, granting extreme resistance to ion and EMP disruption. And internal systems are lined with ultra-thin terentatek hide microfibers to shield them from Force-based manipulation.

The suit is fully vacuum-sealed with an integrated life support system, including temperature regulation and coolant tubing. Programmable matter is woven throughout, providing self-repair and self-sealing capabilities that slowly heal damage over time. A reactive polymer construction enhances the wearer’s strength by approximately 2.5 times baseline.

The suit’s stealth capabilities are extraordinary. The outer layer is a photo-reactive coating that bends light to render the wearer nearly invisible. Beneath it, a stealth polymer layer absorbs light, defeats sensors, and provides very high EMP protection. This polymer combines stygian-triprismatic polymer, reflec, shadowskin, nightshadow, and shadowsilk technologies into a single weightless, sensor-defeating matrix. From here, the suit’s mirror construction masks life signs, while the thermoguard system renders the wearer invisible to infrared and thermal scanners. D-baffling and a sound dampening overlay eliminate noise and protect against sonic attacks. Finally, a Taozin skin nodule blurs and clouds Force senses, making the wearer nearly undetectable to Jedi and Sith alike.
