E-mail Notifications Disabled

I have currently disabled the e-mail notification system. I'm testing server resources and I'm not sure we're going to be able to support e-mail notifications. It's a bit too intensive due to the high volume of traffic. I'll let you know if things change.

For example, we crossed 4,000 e-mails sent since I turned the service back on 48 hours ago. I didn't expect such a large volume and I can't continue to provide for that large volume with my limited resources. It's not a server fault issue, it's a "how much will it cost to provide it" issue.

Email notifications are a wonderful thing... but I can understand how they would be a hit to the servers.

I've converted most of mine to on board notifications, so this is cool.

I don't think I used email notes except for when I receive PMs so this is easy to handle. I can imagine it would get quite intense if you used email notes for...all the things.

I'm usually quite the heavy user of email notifications, but only for IC threads I'm in. But, I've been looking at this site more than I've ever looked at Facebook in a given day, so, we're cool.

Honestly doesn't make a huge impact to me. No negative impacts so it'd be fine to make it permanent.

I used it for followed threads and pms, since I get alerts for my email on both my phone and my web browser. Now I have to go through all my characters to see if someone PMed them >_>.
