[member="Nocturna"], Look.

Take it this way. If you want to play a Dragon, go to a Fantasy RP site, and play one. Here, its all about lightsabers/Swords and Blasters/Slugthrowers. Not Dungeons and Dragons.

Taking my vote down from "I don't care." To "Ban them."

This is annoying.

FYI: I still have a Dev thread that I have to complete to get an NPC Dragon pet on one of my alts. And actually [member="Anja Aj'Rou"], judged it for me. So if they are banned, mine goes with it. You aren't the only one who is losing something bub.

Yeah I'm fine with NPC's but uh PC's? Well [member="Tefka"] knows what my opnion is on that.

I think dragons should be a PC character because I think they have potential to be powerful characters to fight with or against.

I think dragons should be a PC because I personally want to play as one. And I think others should have the same ability. (Albeit I think they need proper rules restrictions and requirements to be played. I.E. no force and a point system to keep them balanced idk but I'd figure it out)

I think if dragons were used as a possible source of a special material for crafting it would make interesting RP for team battles and such.

I WANT TO FIGHT AGAINST A DRAGON (personal goal but come on who wouldn't? )

Look I don't think they should be banned I don't personally think they should be allowed.... I'm in the middle too I just think it would be cool because I was here while they weren't banned. I had no quarrel with them.

This isn't an ample solution; that starts delving into the territory of approving characters. It's one thing to limit the ability of force-users through a tiered rank system but we're not restricting people from being force-users.

If you had to meet prerequisites to be a specific species then that's putting unnecessary emphasis on a single species over that of others. It'd be a waste of time and effort to appeal to a small minority.

Correct me if I'm wrong: The primary motivation for this rule-change is so that you can continue playing as your character, right? Come up with an argument that's supportive of a broader community opinion and find those who want to roleplay as a dragon to back it.

If you don't, it's really just speaking to deaf ears.

Sigh...my character isn't blocked by the usage of dragons. It's not even a real dragon it just looks like one. The thing that blocks my character is that the faction she was created to be used for fell apart thusly she has NO reason to be anywhere and I can't get her to do anything without power gaming the only reason I keep the character around is because I spent a month working on her and her species. And yes it's a very personal request I just thought I might find more than 1 person who supported my idea and agreed with me. But I see you guys just don't have the time to deal with it so it's cool

Uhhhgg I'm just bored now. It was fun when there was a chance things could get changed, especially since I love debating, but as long as that with positions of power in this rp oppose an idea it will never be changed. There are no facts that can be presented on either side of the argument to support their claim. Dragons are either unbanned for opinionated reasons, or stay baned for opinionated reasons. Now if someone had a study or at least 3-5 different threads in which a dragon was present as a PC character, and was abused to the point that no one could stand against it that would be different, or if someone had 3-5 threads were dragons were present as PC characters and everything was fine, and rules were respected. Sadly no one has presented such evidence. It is all "This will clearly happen" , or "This won't happen." it is all personal belief.

My "Personal Belief" is that the star wars world is extremely vast, and has no end to what is possible. Their are races present that already have the feel of elves and orcs. Echani, and Gamorreans. We have all kinds of classes for jedi, sith, etc. That have similarities to fantasy classes. http://scifi.about.com/od/starwarsglossaryandfaq/a/Star-Wars-Faq-Is-Star-Wars-Sci-Fi-Or-Fantasy.htm Anyway like a said the probability of those without authority causing change is slim, but hey the debate was fun while it lasted. I always wonder how old the people i debate with are though? I mean I'm only 15 :p . Any way thank you all for a fun and exhilarating day, it was most exciting.

That is way too much work for something that's a hobby.

I do enough research and citing in my everyday life. I don't need to do it here too.
